This was my third time giving Seaside Subs in Deerfield Beach a chance and it is officially my last. I grabbed another chicken cutlet sub and immediately regretted every decision that led me there. The oil they use is so heavy that I felt bloated for hours and could actually taste it long after the meal was over. Not in a good way. If you value your stomach and the rest of your day, stay away from the chicken cutlet sandwiches. Three tries was more than generous. I'm tapping out. read more

What could be better than a sandwich after the beach? Nothing really. Fabulous tuna salad but everyone I went with raved about their receptive subs (turkey, chicken salad, and a salami). I have been hearing about this sandwich shop fry daughter for a while and was happy to join her there for lunch. They have a very broad range of sandwiches to choose from including cold and got subs. We ordered a gnarly dude on a seat Italian roll. It has turkey, prosciutto, tomato, mozzarella, arugula, and hot pepper spread. We added pesto, too. They are usually pretty busy for lunch so order ahead online. The sandwich was so yummy! Definitely one of the best sandwiches I have had in South Florida. Where is the six star option because this place is so good it's off the charts. I had heard good things about SeaSide Subs but I often hear good reviews of places that ultimately disappoint but this shop surpassed all expectations and I liked it even more than Boca's perennial favorite V&S. The owner was very nice, the shop is bright and upbeat and the prices are low - very low especially when factoring in the quality and size of the heroes. We tried two different sandwiches and both were as good or better than outer borough NYC hero shops I grew up with and still frequent. If this were in The Bronx or non-gentry Brooklyn it would be a serious contender. In South Florida most sandwich shops offer low grade commercial brands but SeaSide Subs deviated from the usual mediocrity and the Roast Beef Hero and the Boardwalk (chicken) thankfully lacked that processed taste. My only complaint would be less salt and pepper on the Roast Beef but that's no big deal. The chicken hero came with fresh mozzarella, pesto mayo, roasted red peppers and a balsamic glaze and that's all good but the sandwich really excelled because the chicken was fresh and that's something rarely seen in South Florida even in non-chain shops. The food was great. I got a small roast beef on the weeded Italian bread. With a chip and drink it was 17 dollars. There's no fountain, just bottled drinks. The people were really nice at the counter, they take your order and bring it to the back to make it. The vibe is very beach with a beach cam. I ordered subs online for pick up. The ordering process was intuitive, although there was a freeform box to add any special requests I wish there was an option to customize the subs e.g. light mayo, add onions etc. The names of the subs are cute and creative. We ordered the A1A, Sam's Seaside Tuna and the Hurricane. The meat was Boars Head. My son remarked that he wishes his A1A had more meat. All the veggies in both subs were fresh and flavorful. Even the smalls were enough for 2 meals. I got a confirmation email after I ordered with an ETA. I arrived when my ordered was to be ready and it was waiting for me. The parking lot can get very busy so I was happy to see2 spaces out front reserved for Seaside Subs. I was the only customer in the store at the time and I was greeted immediately upon entering. The kind lady behind the counter told me she threw in some apple cake because everyone needs some dessert. The interior has a cool beach vibe and was very clean. This place is 5 stars. The Food is 5 stars, the place is five stars and the service is five stars...... Friendly causal sandwich shop, with a host of wonderful and fresh ingredients. I had the Swiss Bikini, Well done chicken cutlet, ham, Swiss and Honey Mustard on a non-seeded Italian bread, it was just perfect. Next time I am going to try the Tuna. The wife had the Boardwalk, minus the pesto mayo (Because Lisa) and she really enjoyed it. I tasted her sandwich and it was great, just needed the pesto mayo but hey, it wasn't my lunch. This morning I was craving a good sub but unfortunately they used to not be open on Sundays but for some reason I had to go check anyways and to my surprise.. THEY ARE NOW OPEN ON SUNDAYS!! Ordered the large Paradise Dip for a takeout order thinking I would take it to my dad's and we'd split it. Well that didn't happen as I was not willing to give up the other half! It was so delicious! The beef was tender and seasoned beautifully, caramelized onions were diced so you got them in every bite. My husband and I took a drive from Coral Springs to try the subs I've been reading rave reviews about. We decided to split a beef with Swiss cheese, caramelized onions and horseradish sauce on a seeded roll. We both agreed that this may have been the best sub we have ever had ! I'm not being dramatic when I say that. The sandwich was delicious and well worth the drive. The bread is a little crunchy on the outside as it should be. The beef was plentiful, tender and so tasty. Oh, and the au jus on the side was perfect. But, what made the entire experience even better was the service. I think it was the owner behind the counter and even though we were only ordering one sandwich to share he treated us like we had just given him a huge catering order. He was so friendly, gracious and kind. He brought our lunch out to us at a table outside with a little sweet treat he had baked - some sort of peanut butter brownie that he must put on the menu ! I don't often write reviews but my husband and I both agreed that the food and the service made for a perfect afternoon. We cant wait to go back. My only dilemma is do I stick with the same sandwich because I loved it so much or do I try one of the other amazing sounding sandwiches on the menu ? The choices on the menu all sounded delicious. Thank you to whoever that was behind the counter yesterday. You made the entire experience delightful ! And double thank you for not making us feel bad for only ordering one sandwich. The giant party 3 foot hero was nicely made for our family gathering ! Hero bread was good , but the family said when compared to another deli we usually ordered from was not as soft. Great oversized Subs. We were headed to the Airport but wanted to enjoy our meal instead of airport food. Subs were gigantic I'm surprised they made it through security. Stopped into seaside subs as it's been on my list of places try for a while now. And as I drove from Loxahatchee, I finally found myself in Deerfield. Cozy little spot with inside and outside seating. I ordered a large fancy Italian on soft white, and a small ham and cheese for my daughter. The Italian was hefty enough to properly split between me and my son. The fancy Italian was easily in my top 5 favorite subs in the tricounty area. The bread had just the right amount of firmness/softness to absorb the liquids but not get soggy and fall apart! The man behind the counter definitely had the owner vibe but I didn't ask. He was friendly and not pushy, as he allowed my 6 year old daughter to take her time figuring out what she wanted on her sub. I am always tasked with finding a new place to eat for lunch when I go out with coworkers so today it was SeaSide Subs. Located in The Cove, this is a small space located towards the end of the north section of the plaza. Right when we walked in we were greeted with a friendly face and immediately wanted to know what some of the most popular subs were. For cold, Italians. For hot, chicken cutlet. I had to try the Italian sub and went with The Fancy Italian, because go big or go home right. Also, prosciutto. Picked the Italian seeded bread and a root beer because I had been craving it. We sat down and our subs came out and it was awesome. Big and beautiful, the small was big enough to fill me up so I could take the other side home for dinner.
