Just Thai still holds the crown for my favorite Thai restaurant! Annie is amazing as well as all the servers. Everyone is so friendly and treats you like family. We visit here at least every two months or so, and it has become our go to Thai restaurant. This place is so consistent, and I don't think there has been anything we have tried that we haven't been more than happy with. Obviously others feel the same because this quaint small restaurant often has at least a short wait for a table. Just Thai has lots of lovely teas and unique drinks. I also recommend speaking with Annie or any of the servers for recommendations on their menu. The son-in-law eggs are absolute perfection. They make the sauce in-house, and it's SO good. Be sure to check out the specials when you enter, because they often have lots of amazing dishes on the board. If you love squid/calamari, Just Thai offers many excellent dishes, and it's always fresh and cooked perfectly. Same can be said for any of the fresh fish dishes. They also cook up their tofu perfectly here, and it captures all the seasons and flavors of the dish. Their curries are delicious, and if you take leftovers of the curry home, you'll love it even more the next day. Don't forget to end your meal with the sticky mango and rice dessert. Needed to get back here... especially for the Roasted Duck. Got lucky -- they only had one left, and it was absolutely "worth the trip." Fantastic flavor, perfectly cooked, moist and tender... just outstanding. Everything else we ordered was also excellent, consistent with how strong this kitchen is across the board. We were heading over to Charm City for a quick dinner when we noticed a new Thai restaurant on Hillsboro Blvd. Since we're fans of Thai food, we decided to check it out. Parking is easy--just head around the back and you'll find plenty of space in the Publix lot. At 8:30 PM, the restaurant was full. We were told there'd be a 15-20 minute wait, and with the amazing aroma coming from the kitchen, we decided to stay. The space is small, about 10 tables, with a calming, zen-like atmosphere. It feels welcoming, and the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. We started with the Tom Yum Goong soup--a light, flavorful broth with tomato, lime, lemongrass, mushrooms, and shrimp. It was good, though we wished it had a little more heat. Next was the Red Curry Chicken with bamboo shoots, bell peppers, and zucchini in a coconut milk base. The curry was smooth and comforting, but again, could've used a touch more spice to bring out the flavors. We also tried the Thai Basil with added squid. The squid was tender and well-prepared, but the basil sauce was on the milder side and could have used a bit more punch. One thing to note: if you're used to asking for less spice at Thai restaurants, you might want to do the opposite here. The flavors are subtle, so ask for more heat if that's your preference. Overall, the food was a little on the bland side, but it definitely has potential. We'll likely be back to give it another try--especially if they dial up the spice. read more

We were vacationing and found this cute Thai restaurant, which happened to be very close to the Airbnb we were staying. When we arrived, we realized the restaurant was quite small and there were maybe only 10 small tables. The establishment was clean, had traditional authentic decor displaying the Thai and Lao cultures and it was really cute. We ended up doing a take out order instead of dining in. My family is Laotian and the hostess was also Laotian so it was easy for us to communicate and talk about the items on the menu. We had several orders as we had a family of 9 with us. She was so patient and very accommodating. The service was really friendly and understanding. While we waited they offered us ice water and made us feel comfortable and relaxed, even though it was a long wait. They offered extra take out silverware and sauces for us. It definitely felt like a small family owned restaurant. We ordered a variety of dishes from chicken pad Thai, panang curry, dumplings to chicken wings and papaya salad. We were a little bit disappointed on the taste and flavor as we are used to lots of spice and savory heartwarming flavors. The dishes tasted bland and did not have a lot of flavor. The flavors were not true to to the authentic flavors of our traditional Thai and Lao food...it tasted "Americanized". This place would truly thrive if they remained true to the full flavors of our custom and culture. Sadly this is not a spot we'll try again. We were lucky and got a seat right away even though they were almost full. Ample parking in the back. Now to the service and food- where does one start? The staff were friendly and very attentive making you feel welcomed from the start. Many menu items very typical Thai selection but not typical is delivery and taste! We started with a soup - Tom Kha Gai. I love Tom Yum soup but this was very different and very tasty. It was coconut and lime base with mushrooms and chicken. For our main - we had Panang Curry with shrimp. It was amazing and the shrimp was big, plump and cooked perfectly. We also had shrimp Pad Thai which was so good! We are definitely going back to try more items on the menu. The prices are great and we had a bottle of wine which to our surprise was not over the top!!! Most places would have the bottle we got for $29 .... Closer to $40. If you like Thai you must go try them and support small businesses like Just Thai. The restaurant was packed with people picking up orders and people waiting to be seated. I can tell that this is a local favorite. We started with the Son in Law Eggs, fried hard boiled eggs. That was different and good. The sauce was great. I wanted more. I then had the Kha Pow Moo Krob and I liked it. The crispy pork belly was delish, and the sauce was very good. Now I wondered if I could have gotten a little more for the rice. It had so much flavor. The Mango Sticky Rice was good. The rice was not as sweet as I would have liked. It was a good dessert. The restaurant is in a plaza with parking all around. It is a building not attached to the strip mall. This is not Thai food. This is Chinese food with Thai peppers sprinkled on it. The portions are large, but again, this is far from authentic Thai food. I live across the street, and this place used to be a Chinese restaurant- so not surprising. If you want Chinese food with a little kick then this is your place. If you're looking for Thai food, check out the places in North Boca/Delray or better yet Oakland Park/Ft. Lauderdale. I have tried many different Thai restaurants all over and this is honestly the most authentic, in my opinion. La Na is a specific dish I have found only up north and in very rare occasions down here. Well I walked into Just Thai and couldn't believe that they had it on the menu. I also ordered vegetable spring rolls to start and there are 2 cut in half and were so fresh and crispy, best I've had in a long time. My husband ordered the Thai Basil with fried tofu and I can't express how delicious it was. The flavor was so rich and the bamboo shoots with other veggies were just as great. I had the La Na with beef and unfortunately they had just run out of the thin wide noodles so I substituted them for the pad Thai noodles and my dish was incredible. We stopped by here for lunch about a week ago. I'd read there was a new Thai restaurant that had taken over the location of a Chinese restaurant that used to be in this spot fronting Hillsboro Boulevard. We parked in the Publix shopping center and walked over to the restaurant. We tried the front and side doors, only to discover that the entrance is now in the back of the restaurant. There was no one else dining in when we entered. We seated ourselves in a booth and looked over the menu. There was a section for their lunch menu with 9 different options. I chose their ginger fish after asking what type of fish it was and being told that it was snapper that day. The lunches came with soup of the day or salad and a veggie spring roll.. The salad was okay. A small bowl of lettuce with a couple cukes, a tomato, and carrot pieces with some ginger dressing. The small portion of fish came with a lot of onions and some green peppers with ginger slivers. There was some white rice and a deep-fried spring roll, as well. The fish was a bit bland. My husband wanted shrimp tom kha soup, but they only had chicken so that's what he got. He said it lacked pizzazz and definitely needed a bit more spice. It was served in a shallow bowl. Just Thai is located on Hillsboro Blvd., just West of the Chase Bank. The Hillsboro side is locked and entry is on the backside where a small parking lot is located. The inside is Bright and cheerful with Thai decor and a welcome staff to greet you. Comfortable booths and tables and an open kitchen view. We were given menus and drink orders taken immediately. A large two-sided menu with Lunch specials listed. I chose a Tom Yum Kha (I wanted shrimp but was told they did not offer at this time) soup and a Large salad with ginger dressing. The salad was a generous serving with iceberg lettuce and tasty ginger dressing. The soup was served in a shallow bowl and was good but could use a little Thai pepper kick, (usually they ask me 1-5 or Thai hot - (they must have assumed "gringo" style). While enjoying our lunch a guy was quizzing one of the staff (never ordered - must have been some type of food reporter). He asked if they also served Sushi like other area Thai restaurants locally, to which the appropriate response was, "No, Just Thai"! read more

This place just opened right next to my work, so me and my co-workers went to check it out for lunch. I've been to Thailand and was very impressed!! The food was incredible, felt like I was in Thailand again, perfect spices and flavors. The service was great, we told our server we had to be out by a certain time and she totally accommodated us and had us out of there at a reasonable time. It's a small little place with only a couple of tables and few booths, and it can get pretty crowded during lunch, so make sure you have a few extra minutes in case you need to wait for a table. I finally get a chance to try out this new Thai restaurant in Deerfield Beach and I have to say.... It is DELICIOUS.... The waitress greeted us with smiles as soon as we walked through the door. The owner came to our table and recommended us their specials which are not on their regular menu which they sound so good that we have to try them. First we start off with soup. We order wonton soup and Tom Zaab. The wonton soup are good but Tom Zaab was so good. It has spareribs and a lot of herbs that give the full taste of the spice . For our dishes, we order three dishes which we know that it is way too much for 2 people to eat but the owner sold us on her specials. The mussel pancake was the hit . The crispness of the pancake mixed with bean sprouts and mussel top with hot sauce, wow... it's just delicious. Then we also order the steam snapper red curry custard. Very light but yet very tasty. Not too spicy, it is just perfect. The last dish that we order was Kapow pork which is popular street food in Thailand. It is served with rice and Sunny side up eggs. This place is a hidden gym.... This has quickly become THE Thai eatery for east Deerfield and the Beach. They don't have a lot of tables, but they appear to be doing a mighty take-out business. Everyone who works there is very friendly and accommodating, and they seem to know all the locals. The menu is extensive and includes a selection of "Thai street food" items, which you won't find anywhere else. As far as special diets such as gluten-free, they'll make every effort to prepare entrees in the manner required, and not give you the excuse that everything has soy sauce with wheat as an ingredient, like another Thai restaurant in the neighborhood.
