The Aesthetic: Clean, cozy, family-style Japanese restaurant with plenty of cute, beachy outdoor seating. I grew up in this town, so it feels like home. The Price: Inflation hit since I last visited a couple years ago, but the rolls are still relatively reasonable for fresh fish. You get huge rolls for the price point! The Parking: It's in a busy plaza with lots of restaurants and shops, so it's always easy to find a spot around the Cove. My Order: I rarely switch it up here because I have my 3 staple rolls. The Spicy Crab Roll, The Rainbow Roll with cream cheese, and the Fried JB roll. I always have to add on cream cheese to my Rainbow Rolls whenever I go to other sushi spots because of this place! If I feel like eating lighter, I'll do one roll and the ginger salad, they have the best ginger dressing in the country. So far! The Conclusion: If you haven't tried it or are debating where to go for dinner, this is the best of the best sushi in Deerfield Beach. You're going to love it.
Great service and food. Ordered the Vegetable Tempura and 2 types of sushi (Dragon & Venus Roll) everything was very good and tasty. One thing about the Sushi the rolls were extra big and bit challenging to get in your mouth in one bite. We also had their Kirin Beer and cold Saki to accompany our meal. Ambiance was good, not loud but pleasant and the place was clean and our servers checked our table to clean out quite often but not annoying. Tables are small so only so much space.
Came here with my pops. It's a nice medium size restaurant. The sushi was fresh and good and the service was superior. Very attentive and owners came to check in on us about 3 times. I did not try the Thai dish like I wanted to but I would come back for that at a later date. I'm a stickler for clean bathrooms and it was nice and clean here. I see a them great everyone here like they know them. Guessing a-lot if return locals. That's a good thing. The food was good and tasty. I recommend this place for anyone who wants a quick bite. They were fast on the orders as well.
We come here truly once a week. We never miss it. We actually dream about the food here. It is so so so good. My boyfriend is probably the pickiest sushi eater (he has a criteria/rating system) and we've been to many top notch places where he rates low. THIS place, he immediately gave a 9 on our first try, then a 10 every time after that. We've been looking for a GOOD sushi place for so long and so happy we finally found one! Special shout out: I need to just say this is the best spicy krab roll I've ever had - they actually mix in the tempura flakes w the krab mixture vs layering on top inside the roll or sprinkling over the roll. YUM. such a game changer In addition to the food - the service is awesome. Our waitress is super attentive and has never messed up an order. Also just an overall cute place to have dinner with clean tables and mood lighting. We enjoy it sm!
Not that this establishment needs my review, though, I will write... its the only place that is truly consistent with the QUALITY of sashimi and over the top customer service in South Florida, since I have consistently gone here from August 2018 to now. (Mind you, the first time I was here was in 2007) It's my favorite Friday Night Delight, it's my favorite I NEED MY ROLLS night, it's my favorite place to meet up with friends (especially, ones that prefer Thai - which this is truly extraordinary place for thai food too), it's my COVID-19 place to feel safe, eat outdoors, and have yummies in my tummies, as well. It's the ONLY place in South Florida (that I know of) with the exception of Blue Ribbon eons ago, that I do not need to add lemon and sake to my ikura... because, it's already completely fresh. It's also the ONLY place that makes me my beloved Jordan Roll (nori on the outside, NO RICE, kampyo, spinach, jalapeño, avocado, cilantro, (sadly sans the shiso leaf, yamogabo, daikon)], my beloved OG Jordan Roll (nori on the outside hamachi, scallion and ikura on top), my beloved Sprouts3.0 Roll [spider roll, sub asparagus (add cilantro, jalapeño, garlic), with ikura on top], it's even one of the ONLY places to get FRESH melt in your mouth uni, when available. Also, the ONLY place that appeases me, when I ask for very very very very very little rice OR no rice at all, to adhere to my semi celiac tummy & my crazy diet fad of the month. To boot, the service is exceptional. No comparison... regardless, if I know of some pretty amazing servers @ Phat Boy Deerfield and Saiko... there is no place, like Thai-Sushi express. Hands down, my favorite CONSISTENT sushi / sashimi joint and when I want to splurge... the fricken homemade dumplings & pad thai & overall thai dishes are OMGosh delicious too. 100% Jordsifed.
Wanted to try this place again it's been a while and it didn't disappoint the rolls are huge and fresh and very tasty good combinations and sauce.
Excellent service and food! Got take out twice and each time was perfect. They are very thorough when they take your order on the phone. Inside looks very clean and the tables are pretty spaced apart. Upon entering, someone is always there to see what you need and get you in and out. GREAT PRICES! And they have Thai and Japanese food! The rolls are meaty and BIG. Glad I only got 2 but even then I had to save some for lunch the next day (not complaining.) I had the Thai dumpling appetizer which had ground chicken and came 4 to an order. I got the shrimp tempura roll each time which was simply delectable. I also tried the California roll (super basic) and the spicy crab roll that was very good. The fried wontons were the best I've ever had! The dough was so light, crispy, flaky. I dream about them now. I've had sushi in Deerfield before and this place is the best!
We've been to this shopping center area many times -- for other restaurants and even the foot massage spa, but had never tried this place. Feeling like having Japanese and sushi cuisine , this turned out to be a very good choice. We came early and sat inside due to the very hot weather. They also have a few tables outside. It was actually quite pleasant, until a very rude noisy party of boorish people came in. It wasn't the restaurant's fault, but the atmosphere sure changed. They also didn't understand the menu and kept trying to order Chinese food dishes. I was glad when they started eating and quieted down. This small restaurant has a two part menu. The first items are Thai dishes and the second half of the menu is Japanese. You can mix and match. I started with a kani-su roll. That's a cucumber roll with krab and avocado that has no rice. It was beautifully presented on a bed of slightly sweet rice wine vinegar (sunomono sauce). It was delicious and felt very healthy. After that, I had their tempura shrimp appetizer. Again, a lovely presentation with the shrimp and veggies propped up against a fan made from thin noodles. The tempura batter was crispy and light. The dipping sauce went well with it. I'd order both items again. My husband ordered one of their sushi dinners -- the hosomaki. It came with a choice of soup or salad to start. He liked the salad with its ginger dressing. There were 3 different sushi rolls -- California, Tuna, and a JB roll. The portion was large and he liked all three rolls. Price were decent. Parking was easy in the lot out front. Service was pleasant and the food was quite good. All on point.

Nasty hairs in the food!!!! Owner was insane held us there after we paid just because we said there was hair in the food. Didn't let us leave the place!!!! We tried to leave and HE called the cops for no reason. The whole situation made zero sense. read more

I came here starving and when I'm starving and I show up at a Sushi & Thai restaurant it's pretty much game over, somewhat like how the Green Bay Packers are experiencing game over today in the NFL Playoffs(1/19/2020 vs 49ers)... Anyway, that's a different story. The tuna is very fresh here and I was impressed with everything. The quality of the assorted sushi pieces, especially Yellow tail & Wahoo was amazing. I think an opportunity to corner the market well in a market of people trying to eat extremely healthy and complex carb friendly would be to bring brown rice back for sushi rolls. Other than that, this is a GREAT place for some Sushi & Thai. Look forward to coming back! read more

We sat outside, as the temperature was great! I was so hungry that I forgot to take a photo of our food! We ordered spring rolls, and chicken wings that were both piping hot! Then had a tuna roll, Mexican roll, and a roll with conch. (Forgot the name) All was flavorful and fresh. This is one of the few sushi restaurants that serve conch in a roll without drowning it in the mayo sauce. They do not have mayo at all in the conch roll I had. It was refreshing and delicious! The waitress and helper are not overly friendly, Nor rude. They take your order, keep your glasses full and are pleasant. I'm okay with this. I came to eat, and they made sure we had everything we needed to do so. I haven't been here for a while, however now that I refreshed myself on how great the sushi is here.... I will be back sooner than later! Enjoy! read more

The initial service was fast, but to get the check was long. The outside sitting allows you to enjoy the DBI vibe. I had the Panang, added shrimp, it was good, but too sweet and a lot of coconut milk. Husband had the Padthai. It was just perfect! read more

My wonderful girlfriend has been raving about this place for 4 years. Since we live in San Diego and seldom travel to Florida, we knew we had to make this a stop on our recent trip to the east coast of Florida. The food was all excellent and served in a perfect time frame. Our order was as follows: - Stuffed Shrimp - Wahoo Jalapeño Poppers - Thai Special Roll - Kimchee Roll - Spider Roll (soft shell crab) While everything was delicious, the wahoo jalapeño poppers were by far my favorite. Perfectly crisp with extremely fresh tasting wahoo with cream cheese and a sweet glaze. You cannot go wrong with this one. Great lunch spot and amazing service. Can't wait for our next trip back this way! read more
Very nice spot. I cannot wait to try more dishes. Today was sushi and the fish was the best I have tasted in Florida so far. The place was busy so I would not dine in again, probably best to take to go. But I really liked the food quality and that matters. Defiantly worth a try! read more
