There was a group of 12 of us, 8 adults and 3 kids, that came in on Valentine's Day for lunch. We were seated without a reservation within a few minutes after arriving. The weekend buffet price was fairly reasonable for $20.95. There is a huge amount of sushi flavors, seafood, salad, soup, hibachi, Asian cuisine, fruit, and dessert options. Some of my favorites were the California sushi roll, chicken broccoli, and pastries. I enjoyed everything and it was plentiful. The staff took care of us and refilled our drinks as needed. They removed the plates as necessary and checked on us to make sure we were happy with everything. The waiter informed us there was gratuity added on our bill because of the size of our group. Most restaurants wouldn't inform the customers about that and a lot of people would add an additional tip by mistake without thinking about it. All of us had a great time for lunch! read more

Just went back to Ichiyami for dinner with the family the other night. We've been coming here for years and it's generally been very good. There are some ups and downs here and there but overall they have proven to be a very reliable sushi buffet place. The time around I went with the salmon nigiri, spicy tuna rolls, the salmon avocado and cream cheese rolls as well as some custom stir fry and the beef wrapped asparagus. Everything was pretty good I have to say. No problems at all with the food quality and they were outstanding with keeping all of the trays full on a very busy night. Definitely make it a point to check this place out if you are in the mood for and all you can eat spot. I would recommend it. read more

Ichiyami Buffet & Sushi has plenty of food options, but unfortunately the overall experience just isn't worth the hassle. First off, the parking situation is horrendous, especially on weekends. Expect nonstop honking, frustrated drivers, and circling the lot (and nearby streets) for 30+ minutes just to find a spot. Inside, the buffet feels more like a crowded cafeteria than a restaurant. Tons of kids running around -- at one point I honestly felt like I'd wandered into a Disney vacation instead of a sushi buffet. To be fair, the crab legs (available at dinner only) are the highlight. But even then, there's no drawn butter and not even any wet wipes to clean up afterward, which just adds to the frustration. Overall, lots of food choices but not much comfort. With the parking chaos, cafeteria vibes, and lack of small touches that make a buffet enjoyable, I can't give it more than 2 stars. read more

This was our first time here and we were very impressed. We chose all you can eat buffet, they also have a regular menu. We were given a piece of paper with all kinds of soups, salads, appetizers, sushi, rice and noodles, & hibachi choices plus desserts. I will be honest, this review was teetering towards a 4 star review for a couple of reasons: I was looking for an AYCE sushi place while day tripping in Boca Raton and came upon this place here on Yelp promoting itself as an AYCE sushi restaurant. Also they charge you for ice tea, and I assume soda as well. However, the food (outside of the sushi) made it trend upwards to a 5 star experience (along with the above average service). Everything that I ate, except for the sushi, was delicious and fresh. We came here for dinner and it was about 6pm on a weekday and the place was almost packed, but we acquired a table. A few of the highlights that stuck out to me were the BBQ pork ribs (tender, with a mildly sweet sauce), at least 3 different prepared shrimp dishes (fairly large, fresh and plentiful), and the snow crab legs (fresh, plump meat within). I tried a few other things and they were all tasty and fresh. My only gripe was the actual sushi I was looking forward to. Although it was plentiful, both in quantity and variety, none of it was satisfying. I am so glad I only took one piece, of about five I chose from. They were edible, they just were not that great (they were just OK). The place was clean and overall a comfortable dining experience. This was probably one of the best Asian buffets I (we) have been too. I highly recommend it to both the tourists, like us, or locals (there were quite a few obvious early snowbirds present when we were there). read more

Places continues to be a good spot for a wide variety of Asian food from sushi to standard Chinese with a grill. Not surprising the prices for a Sunday dinner have increased to over $30. Ok, this is our go-to place for good sushi, being a buffet. The quality of the food is good and there is a wide variety, both sushi and hot dishes. The service is not bad, the attention of the waiters is usually good. The hostesses, on the other hand, are a separate issue, they always seem not to want to be there, they don't know what to do, I have never seen any of them smile, they are not friendly and seem to be lost. I picked a stop at this place because we would be passing by at a perfect time to make a stop on our trip home from Vero Beach. The reviews were quite good and I was looking for a sushi dinner. I am glad I did stop in. The initial experience was tarnished by the hostess, who asked probing questions about my service dog beyond what is legal to ask before admitting me to the restaurant. She then demanded to see a service animal picture ID, which is something that does not truly exist and is usually carried by those people that buy false IDs on Amazon or other mail order. She begrudgingly accepted the DOT paperwork, which is actually the only official document for service animals that I know of. She went on to break the law in refusing to sit us in the main area of the dining room and sticking us in a corner of what she referred to as the party room, but was actually an isolated area in a back riom separated from the rest of the restaurant. I chose not to make issue of this because I was hungry and strictly by a culinary perspective. I am glad I did. It can be seen in the many pictures, the food is really quite exceptional. It looks great, but it tasted even better. The variety was superb and the sushi and sashimi was as fresh as I have had in any restaurant. Unlike most buffets, the sashimi was plentiful and I have to say that I enjoyed it very very much. The sushi was also quite beautifully arranged and both the nigiri and the rolls were expertly prepared with the freshest to fish both looking and tasting wonderful. I sampled some hot food as well, and it was good, but the highlight remain remained on the sushi. There were also crab legs which were delicious and the hibachi area that I did not have time or appetite to try so I cannot comment. And I always love green tea ice cream for dessert so it's quite happy with that as well. The restaurant appeared lovely, but I did not get to experience it because, as I said, I was relegated to a corner in a back room. This substantially took away from enjoying the experience of eating in a comfortable environment. For this reason alone, I doubt I will go back. it is too bad that their staff was so completely noncompliant with the laws governing access for people with disabilities or they would've had a regular customer. For those without disabilities, I highly recommend this restaurant and hope they will step up and do the right thing to those with disabilities in the future. read more

First time at a sushi buffet. They have lots of options. The sushi with the plantains was one of my favorites and the other one was a sushi that was wrapped in cabbage. The raw fish selection was really good, that was probably my favorite part. The steamed mussels and noodles were also good. The salad and dressing was tasty. Sushi pizza was interesting and good. The cold shrimp in sauce was really good and sweet. I wouldn't get the salmon roe again. Get the cookies and cream ice cream. read more

Our son decided this was where he wanted his birthday dinner! There were 5 of us with varying tastes. Personally all I eat and love is Sashimi- fresh melt in your mouth salmon tuna escolar!! Had the miso soup wonderful and nice and hot. Husband likes the Korean barbecue and goes to the counter and has them make their specialties. We were in the Royal Palm Plaza for a car show and after were hungry for lunch. I remembered that Ichiyami Buffet and Sushi was in the plaza and was always curious to try it so off we went. Weekday adult lunch is $16.95 and weekend lunch is $19.95. Dinner buffet is Monday through Thursday $29.95 and Friday through Sunday is $30.95. Parking out front is tight but we lucked out with a spot. There is more parking in other parts of the plaza. The inside is nice with a black and red color scheme and we were seated promptly at one the tables in the main dining room. There is a full bar in the front of the restaurant. We started off with the sushi bar and there was a large selection to choose from along with sashimi, nigiri, cold seafood salads, mussels, and the largest peel and eat shrimp that I have come across in a long time. Next we visited the hot bar with fried foods like crab Rangoon and traditional Asian dishes that included chicken Teriyaki, General Tso chicken, salt and pepper shrimp, clams, green beans, noodles, chicken and broccoli, and more. Also in this area is soup and hibachi. Dessert is fresh fruit including more exotic choices like dragon fruit, cakes, pastries, Jell-o, crème brûlée, panna cotta, and ice cream. This is one of the nicer all you care to eat Asian Buffets that I have visited in South Florida. The staff were on point with removing dirty dishes quickly but they dropped the check before I even finished my first plate. We did enjoy the food here and it is a good value, especially if you like seafood as we do. My favorite dish were the colossal peel and eat shrimp but all of the seafood was fresh and delicious. During my Visit to Miami I decided to do a seafood challenge . Ichyami is the First seafood buffet tasting that I decided to do. This is the second time I visited this restaurant and I love the fresh seafood that they serve. The Snowcrab large shrimp selection of sashimi and a wide variety of sushi that they serve staff prepare. I always go back for a second serving of the sashimi. This place was perfect for a saturday lunch buffet at a total of $22 (price including tax). Parking was a bit difficult and had to circle in the area a bit. When i arrived, the place was pretty packed but good atmosphere! Always a good sign on how good a place is. As a solo diner, I got sat at the bar! The waitresses and waiters were nice and attentive! Took away my plates and refilled my water constantly! Now let's talk about the food! One side starts with ceviche, nigiri and there many different sushi options! I was very impressed. I tried a piece of 75% of them and they all were good quality. Following the sushi you have cold clams and shrimp and then get the different types of salads where it is shrimp, wakame and regular salad. Then goes to fruit and some of their desserts. Their little creme brulee was pretty good and it's just a small metal ramekin size so perfect to just try. The hot food side had different varieties that included crab rangoon, steamed and fried dumplings, shumai, wings, fries, clams (my favorite out of everything), noodles, rice, asparagus, mushrooms, 3 different soups, etc. What I became truly impressed with was their noodle hibachi bar! You have the choices to grab noodles, peppers, onions, mushrooms, chicken, shrimp, and steak to your plate and then hand it to the hibachi guys to cook! The only buffet I'll go to. They have amazing sushi and the best chicken teriyaki I've ever had. So both the cold and hot bars are excellent. My kids not love Japanese buffets and we've tried a few in other areas on trips and closer to home, they're all terrible. This will be our only option from now on and it's 90min from where we live.
