Came to Pubbelly for a late night bite to eat. Our waitress Jim was amazing! She was accommodating, gave great suggestions, and was a joy for the evening. We ordered the butter Krab rolls, lobster and crab donuts, Korean BBQ wings, and kimchi fried rice. Everything was great! The butter Krab roll was full of Krab and tasted even better with the drawn butter. The lobster and crab roll was a 100/10; the savory and sweet combo with the hot honey and tenderness of the seafood was everything. The Passion Fruit mojito was so good! It was the perfect blend of strong and sweetness. I cannot wait to come back to try more of what they have to offer.

Our waitress was amazing. I'm pretty certain her name is Mars, she made a ton of suggestions and one thing was better than the next. She came around just read amount of times and always made sure we had everything that we need. Food was good, for the price I would say the portions are a little bit small. Highly recommend you stop in and try happy hour first and foremost to get an idea of what they have. Monday and Tuesday they offer any sushi roll off the menu for $12. There is an app called inKIND, it took $30 off of my check. If you sign up for the reward loyalty program that's such an additional 10 off my bill.

Carlos our waiter was overwhelmed with a big crowd of 20. The food was served as ready and everything was tasty but serving size of sushi was small. Drinks were good size pour and fried rice was ok. The food did not compete with other sushi restaurants in town. The happy hour menu was extensive for the price but the portion size was a disappointment. SUPPORT LOCAL

Service and vibe were honestly great. The space is lively, fun, and our server was incredibly sweet and attentive. No complaints there at all. Now for the food. I really wanted to love it, but I just did not get the hype. Everyone online says the butter Krab roll is a must try, and that is what brought me in. For me, it just missed the mark. It is imitation krab, and while the menu calls it butter Krab, the description says crab, which felt a bit misleading. The rolls are also huge. You only get four oversized pieces instead of six to eight normal sized rolls, and they were hard to eat. I would much rather have real crab and smaller, more balanced bites. The eggplant appetizer was good, but it definitely lacked the flavor I remember when I tried it at the West Palm location. The ceviche roll was not for me at all. There is no raw seafood, and it was overloaded with leche de tigre. A traditional leche de tigre does not include cream, and this one did, which made it heavy and unpleasant. The lobster and crab donuts were fine. Nothing special, but not bad either. The standout dish was the tuna nigiri. When I eat sushi, I want high quality raw fish, and the tuna was excellent. Fresh, clean, and easily the best thing I had. Overall, great service and a fun vibe, but the food did not live up to the hype for me. I probably will not be back, but if you go, stick to the nigiri.

Outside seating looked really nice, but at around 6pm there was still too much sun in your face for my companions, so we sat inside where it was darker and louder. Our server was great at explaining the menu. We wanted to share and the entrees as described seemed too small for our group. We ordered a number of small plates plus dessert. We left stuffed. They have only imitation crab, which I don't usually like, but I really liked the Butter Krab Roll. It was wrapped in bread. We all liked the eel roll too. There are a lot of fried options on the menu. The gyoza and ribs were both crispy. The eggplant was very good, but a little too heavily sauced. The cerviche with tostones was a hit, but the cerviche portion was small - especially next to the tostones. For me, the highlights were the desserts. They have black sesame ice cream!!! Everyone loved both the Mason Jar.and Miso Bread Pudding. I'd like to go back for happy hour or dessert.

This was truly an experience for me and my parents. The service and atmosphere were incredible. They were very attentive, paying close attention to my allergies and everything we needed. Our waitress kept coming over and we did like a tapas style because there were so many cute innovative appetizers like short rib dumplings and crab & lobster donut holes ! I really enjoyed all the different flavors of the food. Lastly, I had the watermelon basil margarita which was heavenly ! 10/10 would go again ! Maybe because it was a Monday but I feel this place is a little secret because it wasn't as busy as next door. I was happy to beat the crowd. Perfect for a date night spot !

We were so excited that Pubbelly finally opened in Boca. We went at 5 PM. Our waitress was Jim, and she was awesome! She had great recommendations. All the food was excellent. The atmosphere was a vibe. We will be back many more times!

I got a gift card so I decided to try Pubbelly out for the 1st time. I had called them prior because the the Boca location is not even listed on their website, just the 5 other locations, and I wanted to see the menu. The girl who answered said she would tell the manager. I have been eating sushi for many years here, and to date myself I used to go to the very 1st sushi and only restaurant in Boca on a regular basis. I went early ( 5:00PM +/-), because I know all those restaurants there get crowded early, which was the case. I walked in, and it was empty and I was surprised. I was the only person in there, and sat at the bar. Another other couple showed up. I asked for a warm tokkuri of sake, and the server said it's by the glass. Never heard of that before, but he said he would take care of me. I wanted the plain Himachi which said it was made with white fish. I asked him which type of white fish. He didn't know, nor asked to find out. It came with Tostones, which I didn't want, but ordered it anyway. It was a tiny portion for $19, pricey for 3-4 mouthfuls. I also ordered a Salmon Avocado roll, which was OK. I decided I just wasn't going to order anything else and left hungry and went home and ate something. I asked for the check which he brought and said that they automatically add a 18% gratuity. That was a first in all my years to hear that. I found that to be bad business and obnoxious. I don't mind paying 18%, but it should be the customers decision, not the restaurant making you pay it. The server was friendly enough, but it wasn't a good food experience, I wish them all the best in this location, but I couldn't recommend it, especially when there are countless other sushi places in Boca now. Just my two cents.

    Pork ribs

First time here must say the ambience is very well appointed and must also say the waiter Carlos A was definitely honest about the taste of the food and was very helpful. We were there on Tuesday and sushi rolls are $12 each, also on Monday $12 rolls which makes it much more affordable. some pork ribs, and a few rolls. Edamame rice Everything was good. A little spicy for us Our friends were more in the sushi than us really enjoyed it. We're not really sushi lovers so that might put a little edge on but always is a good experience to try something that you're not really into indoor outdoor seating.

The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the night. The restaurant itself was also really beautiful and had a nice upscale vibe. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and service at the beginning didn't match the atmosphere. When we first sat down, one of our glasses had a lot of scratches and the other one was visibly dirty. When I asked for them to be changed, the waitress initially insisted it was just scratches, even though one was clearly dirty. She eventually replaced them, but the new glass was also heavily scratched, and what bothered me most was that she took the dirty glass and placed it on another table instead of taking it to be cleaned. The attitude at first felt a little dismissive and rude, although she did become much more polite and helpful as the night went on. Another downside was the bathroom cleanliness. It smelled like a public restroom, which really didn't fit the fancy atmosphere the restaurant was trying to create. Overall, the food was genuinely excellent, but for a place that looks this nice, the cleanliness and attention to detail should be much better.

It took over 30mins for these appetizers and nigiri's to be served. Servers were friendly but unprofessional, looked very lost. The sushi chef was Korean, but definitely not Korean sushi chef quality work. There are plenty of places you can go to for equal or better quality sushi for better prices. The toro had Clorox scent as if it had been placed on a cutting board that has been wiped with a sports towel that was soaked in Clorox. The Uni was fresh but the amount was disappointing. I am uploading pictures from different places for comparison. Anyway no need for me to say anything else. Won't be returning, ever. I could barely swallow the 2 pieces of nigiri and app that was drowning in salty ponzu sauce. I will leave this place for people who dont know how to enjoy some good sushi. After they are ready for you they will seat you at the bar and they will serve you the food. I will agree with a lot of the other reviews. I wish it was a little more roomy. You are elbow to elbow like on a spirit flight. I think removing one seat from the bar would give a lot of room for the others. Which is kind of poor design because the waiting area is quite large compared to the bar too where everyone is served. Sushi by bou has a pre set menu so it's technically not true omakase since it means "I leave it to you," the chef. But everyone gets the same thing so it's not really different if you go again. With all of that said, the food is still great. The quality of sushi is high and the cuts are solid. Service is great because they are right in front of you so you can just ask if you need something. Seems like there are more workers than customers really. Would definitely go again if I wanted some good sushi.

Maybe it's quieter outside but those tables are right next to the street. We had to yell to hear each other. Our server Sebastian was so pushy and constantly upselling us. As soon as we sat down, he asked whether we wanted still or sparkling water, but that question should always have 3 options: still, sparkling, or tap? He then recommended the signature omakase, the most expensive thing on the menu. When he came back to take our order, he made a big pitch of today's rib special. When my husband ordered the 8-piece nigiri, he pushed us to upgrade to the 12-piece option. As we were eating, he asked us what else we wanted to order. We ordered $130 of food for 2 people...seriously? We hadn't even finished yet to gauge if we were still hungry. I know that tips are a percentage of the bill, but you would've thought this kid was getting a commission on top of his tip or something. It rubbed us the wrong way. The tuna crispy rice was $5 per piece and the rice was weirdly chewy. Wouldn't order it again. The nigiri were the highlight of the meal. Each piece felt balanced and the sushi rice was good. We ordered 3 rolls: toro toro, scallop, and yellowtail. All were forgettable and expensive for what they were. The yellowtail roll was bland, which is probably why there's a chili ponzu sauce to go with it because otherwise all you can taste is pear, which isn't a flavor I'm looking for in sushi. We ended our meal with scallop tacos, which were good but microscopic and pricey ($17 for 2 tacos). Each one is a bite and a half. It took a while to flag down Sebastian for the bill, so we were stuck in the din of the restaurant for longer than we liked. If the restaurant's filling up, wouldn't you want to turn our table and seat new guests? My husband made a note on the res that it was my birthday, but it was ignored. Maybe we would've had a better experience with a different waiter, but this was a disappointing meal and service.

Reservations are required well in advance, and there are 2 seatings daily, 6pm and 9pm, each hosting roughly 7 couples, which keeps the atmosphere serene and intentional. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the entire staff and seated immediately. We were the first to arrive, so I took the opportunity to admire and take pictures of the space before others arrived. The interior is stunning, breathtaking, and transports you straight to Japan! There's a beautiful private room the back which holds up to 8 guests and the personal chef and low to the group Japanese style seating. On the night we dined, we enjoyed an 18 course omakase tasting, paired with 4 sake tastings. The four sake selections were all exceptional, smooth and refined and unforgettable, even though I regret not capturing each of their names. The meal began with one of the most delicious bites I've ever had, king crab served over a warm and decedent custard. From there each course built on the last. We tasted a variety of salmons, tunas; some completely raw, and some aged to perfection for 14 days. Along with snapper, beautifully grilled Chilean sea bass, and many other crafted dishes. I tried Uni for the first time, and I finally understand why it is referred too as 'ice cream of the sea'. The taste, texture and aroma were all exquisite, creamy, delicate and truly memorable. The experience ended with a warm miso soup, followed by a refreshing melon wedge, and a red bean ice cream sandwiched between two very flaky wafers. Every single bite left me in awe. The chefs knife skills, the precision, the presentation, the simplicity of certain dishes which still packed powerful flavors, it all showcased the artistry of true Japanese fine dining. This was more than dinner, it was an experience. My absolute favorite dish? The A5 Wagu. It was heave on earth, melt in your mouth perfection. If you appreciate fine dining, exquisite flavors, culinarily history, and the craft behind aged, cured and meticulously prepared food, Taki Omakase is an unforgettable experience that you will love from start to finish.
