Simply the best / freshest sushi I have ever had. Chef Joe is a master and Amy our server was awesome

Was good. Hole in the wall joint. Service was slow considering basically no customers in the for lunch. Butter crab was great, sushi and sashimi good. Real score 3.8.

Friendly staff and great food. My boyfriend and I went for the first time. We started with the crunchy tacos; they were delicious and very flavorful. We got the Osaka roll and the chef joes roll, both soooo good. Will def be back

The service and the food here are great. The atmosphere is your typical casual sushi place. I am giving this 5 stars however we spent about $200 total with tip and tax for two people and got a premium chirashi dish. The fish here is excellent and super fresh, however I don't feel that their prices are justified because for this price you do expect to get that "melt in your mouth" type of fish which was missing here. Still super high quality and super fresh fish! I would probably give this 4.5 stars out of 5 if I could. A bit overpriced... I'd definitely recommend this place and most importantly super FRESH Sushi!

This was truly the best sushi that I've ever had. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The menu is what drew me here - I wanted unique options and Sushigo had exactly what I was looking for (such as the buttered crab roll and the tempura Brocoli roll). We ate our sushi inside the restaurant..everything came out fast and the waitress and other staff were great! Can't wait to go back.

If you're looking for quality Nigiri in the Boca Raton area this is the place for you! A hidden gem in a quiet little spot right off federal highway! Chef Joe and his decades of experience truly shows through his passion for making sushi! Most of the time when you order any Nigiri your almost left wanted more, like you didn't have enough to truly enjoy the flavors but not with chef Joe! Each and every piece is super sized compared to a majority of places leaving you feeling full and satisfied by the end of your experience! Fish was very fresh and that's coming from a fisherman! Thank you chef Joe for your dedication in making truly delicious sushi! Will definitely be coming back in the near future!

Here's a short and objective review. The owner Joe, who claims to be a Nubu trained chef, does make some fierce sushi. But it comes at a price. His sushi is extraordinarily pricey and I'm not of the opinion that it is justified. While he is an artist in making sushi, again, I'm not sure if that artistry, which includes lots of sauces piled onto the sushi, justifies his break-your-credit-card pricing. Next is the vibe. I always enjoyed sitting at the sushi bar and observing Joe at work. But it also was a display of tension between him and his staff. I won't say more about this other than the vibe is off. I've gone when first opening for the evening and there has been a distinct odor of bug killing spray. It is a turnoff. As in disgusting. Service at tables is very slow. It seems that Joe has a cult following and as in all cults, one has to question what it is that attracts the followers. I'd recommend going elsewhere.

My goto for sushi in Boca. The sushi here is simply outstanding. The freshness of the ingredients is evident in every bite. The menu offers a wide variety of options, from classic rolls to innovative chef specials.

Still the best sushi In town. Everything is consistently fresh. I get at least 2-3 orders of the BUTTER CRAB to start every single time

I posted over 25 pictures of my experience below please have a look and let me know if you have any questions. We were a party of 3 and in order to reserve our spots we had to make a separate deposit of $50 per person. After your meal the deposit either can get refunded or put toward your meal. The food, the ambiance, and service was out of this world. The fish tasted like butter. The sashimi was unlike any sashimi I've ever had. We also had a lovely tasting of cherry sake and even that was delicious too. Definitely give Taki a try for your next date night, Valentine's Day, Anniversary, or any occasion!

Reservations are required well in advance, and there are 2 seatings daily, 6pm and 9pm, each hosting roughly 7 couples, which keeps the atmosphere serene and intentional. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the entire staff and seated immediately. We were the first to arrive, so I took the opportunity to admire and take pictures of the space before others arrived. The interior is stunning, breathtaking, and transports you straight to Japan! There's a beautiful private room the back which holds up to 8 guests and the personal chef and low to the group Japanese style seating. On the night we dined, we enjoyed an 18 course omakase tasting, paired with 4 sake tastings. The four sake selections were all exceptional, smooth and refined and unforgettable, even though I regret not capturing each of their names. The meal began with one of the most delicious bites I've ever had, king crab served over a warm and decedent custard. From there each course built on the last. We tasted a variety of salmons, tunas; some completely raw, and some aged to perfection for 14 days. Along with snapper, beautifully grilled Chilean sea bass, and many other crafted dishes. I tried Uni for the first time, and I finally understand why it is referred too as 'ice cream of the sea'. The taste, texture and aroma were all exquisite, creamy, delicate and truly memorable. The experience ended with a warm miso soup, followed by a refreshing melon wedge, and a red bean ice cream sandwiched between two very flaky wafers. Every single bite left me in awe. The chefs knife skills, the precision, the presentation, the simplicity of certain dishes which still packed powerful flavors, it all showcased the artistry of true Japanese fine dining. This was more than dinner, it was an experience. My absolute favorite dish? The A5 Wagu. It was heave on earth, melt in your mouth perfection. If you appreciate fine dining, exquisite flavors, culinarily history, and the craft behind aged, cured and meticulously prepared food, Taki Omakase is an unforgettable experience that you will love from start to finish.

They removed the plates as necessary and checked on us to make sure we were happy with everything. The waiter informed us there was gratuity added on our bill because of the size of our group. Maybe it's quieter outside but those tables are right next to the street. We had to yell to hear each other. Our server Sebastian was so pushy and constantly upselling us. As soon as we sat down, he asked whether we wanted still or sparkling water, but that question should always have 3 options: still, sparkling, or tap? He then recommended the signature omakase, the most expensive thing on the menu. When he came back to take our order, he made a big pitch of today's rib special. When my husband ordered the 8-piece nigiri, he pushed us to upgrade to the 12-piece option. As we were eating, he asked us what else we wanted to order. We ordered $130 of food for 2 people...seriously? We hadn't even finished yet to gauge if we were still hungry. I know that tips are a percentage of the bill, but you would've thought this kid was getting a commission on top of his tip or something. It rubbed us the wrong way. The tuna crispy rice was $5 per piece and the rice was weirdly chewy. Wouldn't order it again. The nigiri were the highlight of the meal. Each piece felt balanced and the sushi rice was good. We ordered 3 rolls: toro toro, scallop, and yellowtail. All were forgettable and expensive for what they were. The yellowtail roll was bland, which is probably why there's a chili ponzu sauce to go with it because otherwise all you can taste is pear, which isn't a flavor I'm looking for in sushi. We ended our meal with scallop tacos, which were good but microscopic and pricey ($17 for 2 tacos). Each one is a bite and a half. It took a while to flag down Sebastian for the bill, so we were stuck in the din of the restaurant for longer than we liked. If the restaurant's filling up, wouldn't you want to turn our table and seat new guests? My husband made a note on the res that it was my birthday, but it was ignored. Maybe we would've had a better experience with a different waiter, but this was a disappointing meal and service.
