We went here on a recommendation of a friend and it's a cute cozy little restaurant in West Boca we went with two other couples so there were six of us all together. Staff is friendly. There's plenty of parking the soup we got. It's called Tom last, it was absolutely delicious. Everybody enjoyed their appetizers. Food came. Everything was delicious. Everyone was happy with what we ordered. My only complaint was, I had ordered eggplant with basil and tofu, and my dish was cold. The sauce was hot, but the tofu I think is premade and they probably just throw it on the plate and warming up by the hot sauce so that was disappointing since we were with two other couples I didn't want to send it back or make a scene, but the flavor was good. I got one of the best Pad Thai dishes ever here. Flavorful but not overpowering any particular ingredient, and the noodles were a delightfully chewy texture that I LOVED. And a good amount of lightly fried tofu. My boyfriend also got his usual - Massaman Curry - and he also thoroughly enjoyed his meal, too. Tried lunch today. Terrible service, bad food. Got seated right away at last available table. 10 minutes before waitress came by. Ordered bottle of wine and an appetizer and food order. Wine came in 14 minutes after order. Asked waitress about soup and told it will be out. Wife's soup came 20 minutes later. Received lunch nearly an hour after order. Noticed discrimination as Asian diners were apparently given much higher priority as was the take out orders. My fish dish was way over cooked and dry and hard. Grabbed some takeout and got the pad thai with tofu, which was so incredibly dry and not what I would call good. It seemed like it had spent days in the takeout container and wasnt very hot. We were in the area and read some reviews about Sen Thai and decided to try it. The sign out front said Sushi & Thai but no Sushi. A storefront restaurant that obviously frequented by locals. Very nice and extensive menu. Service was a bit lacking. My wife tried the Pad Thai with mixed vegetables, also you can order it with tofu, chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, or scallops. Wok-fried noodles with eggs, bean sprouts, scallions, roasted peanuts, and tangy-sweet sauce. She thought it was just fair . I opted for the Duck Noodle Soup, crispy duck breast, sprouts, and Chinese broccoli in rich 5-spice flavored broth, with egg noodles. The broth was outstanding, very flavorful. The duck was very good, not really crispy but have some grizzle. Definitely will return to try some other dishes. read more

For the price point of this restaurant, I found the food to be quite subpar. Usually Thai food has very recognizable spices and strong flavors. The food had some flavor, but tasted much more diluted and bland than any other Thai place I've been to. The Chili Duck tasted like chicken, and was overpriced for its portion size (just like the other options on the menu) The ambience was dark and not the most enjoyable to sit at. Never disappointed anytime we come. Our newest go to is the blue crab fried rice. The blue crab flavor really shines through and is not hidden at all. The Zaab chicken salad is very similar to the steak nam tok but has a much nicer crunch with the fried chicken. Deliciousness!!! And can't leave without having the mango sticky rice. read more

Sen. It's a serious Thai place. Been in the biz for over five years, and yet it somehow escaped my notice, The shopping plaza is older and beat up a bit. This space (previously a kosher sushi joint) has the "SUSHI" sign no longer lit, and the sushi bar itself is being used for other food prep purposes now. They only serve Thai food. The restaurant itself doesn't have a lot of seats, maybe seating for 16 -- fitting the definition of "hole in the wall." I'll get what I don't like about the place out of the way. The seats are the horrible uncomfortable metal type and the menu is tiny black print on light brown paper so it's very hard to read especially in dimmer light. Large specials board with a lot of unusual stuff on it. We also got two appetizers, the steamed dumplings (Khanom Jeeb) which Rachel deemed "almost" as good as Nour's, I thought they were just as good. From specials board I ordered the Chive Cake (Khanom Gui Chai) which are made wirh tapioca flour and rice flour, and a spicy soy dipping sauce. Very good, with an interesting mochi-like texture and crispy outside. I ordered my entree, ground pork with eggplant and basil, which was very good, similar to the Chinese eggplant garlic dish, a bit spicier, strong fish sauce flavor (this place isn't afraid to use it, they use Golden Boy). Rachel got Pad Kaprow -- which is not on the menu, but they make it for people who ask. She ordered it with beef, we both agreed it would be better with pork or chicken. We wish we could leave a 11-star review. Unfortunately in south Florida good Thai food is very rare such that mediocre places get 5-star reviews. Everything about Sen Thai Bistro is outstanding. The menu selection, the quality, ambiance and service is impeccable. Prices are more than fair by today's standards. We started with the beef noodle soup and pad see ew, only to be blown away by the freshness of ingredients, cooking techniques and attention to detail. My grandma loves this place! She gets the shrimp pad thai and smiles ear to ear when it comes out. I had the pad see ewe and it was good, not amazing. Best Thai food in Boca Raton. Even take out is great. I changed it up a little bit. Ordered Tom Yum Shrimp and it was good, I usually get Tom Kai which I love. Soup was good, could have been a little More tangy. Then Hot Garlic Duck with Chinese broccoli, med spicy. The veg was spicy but the duck was not, good contract. Brown sauce was a pleasant change from our usual curry. Lastly we had Drunken noodles with Chicken. Excellent, we like Pad See Yu. Similar but veg's were different. This restaurant was a bit off the beaten track for us -- a bit further west -- but was a wonderful surprise. We really enjoyed our lunch here. They have a Thai menu with a lot of lunch specials. Instead of doing the usual top of the menu -- choose your meat and choose your sauce -- we both decided to do one of their rice bowls. I had their crispy duck rice bowl. The duck was fantastic -- lightly battered and cut into slices. It was on top of white jasmine rice, had a bit of salad with ginger dressing, and some Chinese broccoli (which is a tad bitter). The balsamic sauce comes on the side. I used the sauce as a dip, but the duck didn't really need it. I think I would have preferred one of their grown sauces. With the rice bowls come soup -- a lightly seasoned chicken based broth with scallions. The soup had a good flavor, but would have been better if it were hotter in temperature. My husband had their chicken cutlet and butter garlic rice bowl. As it's name implies, it was a lightly breaded all white meat chicken cutlet. The rice had a light garlic flavor. There was a bit of a sweet vinegar based sauce on the side. He really liked his lunch, too. If you don't want to order from their lunch menu, you can also order off their full regular menu. They have sake and beers, but a good sweet Thai tea was my husband's drink choice. There's abundant free parking in the shopping center lot out front. The restaurant inside is small and there are also a couple tables right outside the restaurant. Service was good, by the one gal who was waiting on all the tables. I'd definitely get the duck here again. Although a few of the curries and the pad Thai looked very appealing too. Lunch prices are very reasonable -- especially for the amount of food that you get. I ordered the Zaab chicken salad and the flavor was great but the chicken had rubbery hard spots. We also had ordered a platter of fried rice with pork. The pork pieces were also dry, hard and rubbery. The pics of the food all looked really good and so were the reviews. But I don't think we'll be giving it another try. read more

Really authentic Thai food! A small but modern restaurant with very friendly staff. They're currently open during the COVID-19 crisis. Their menu is filled with the traditional Thai dishes like pad Thai and curry with coconut milk but there are also a lot of unique dishes like boat noodles and street food that you'd find on the carts in Thailand. We opted to try something different so I got a Choochee Duck. It has rich flavors and thick coconut milk drizzle in the curry sauce. The duck breast was crispy on the outside but juicy and tender on the inside. It was pretty spicy for my taste buds. Loved that it came with broccoli and peppers.
