After watching a movie, I came over to The Shoppes at Beacon Light to get a quick bite at Lighthouse Thai Sushi. Though I was able to find a parking spot, these spaces tend to fill up quickly. Upon entering I was greeted by a female employee who allowed me to sit at any available table since the restaurant was not busy. I placed an order for a glass of unsweetened iced tea with table sugar on the side, steamed gyoza, and California roll. My order arrived within minutes. Here are my thoughts about the food: *The California roll was freshly prepared and was delicious. Less sodium soy sauce was provided for dipping, adding flavor without being salty. *The steamed gyoza was prepared nicely topped with shredded cabbage & carrots, and sliced scallions. The dipping sauce was lightly sweet and tasty. Complemented the gyoza well *I don't really favor unsweetened iced tea, but they didn't have a sweet version. Even after adding four packets of sugar to the drink, it still wasn't as sweet as I would have liked it. I squeezed in a few drops of lemon juice and made due with it. Overall everything was satisfactory and priced reasonably. The server was pleasant and attentive, making sure things was to my liking and asking if I wanted anything else. The atmosphere was really relaxing. I look forward on visiting again to try another dish. read more

My husband and I came here for sushi while on our Babymoon and were very impressed! There were a ton of options for me that were cooked which I appreciated so much. I got a cucumber roll for the first time and it was so delicious we ordered another one! We also got a roll with brown rice and it was great - I really appreciated the brown rice option. My husband got the Tom Yum soup and said it was the best he's ever had! I got a miso soup and it was good but not super special, the rolls made up for it. I've been to my little neighborhood Thai restaurant many times over the last few years, but somehow I was under the impression I had left a review! Let's correct that. Lighthouse Thai Sushi has been in the Beacon Light shopping center for a little over three years or so. This restaurant does consistently strong business, and usually there is a short wait for a table. They appear to have a strong takeout business as well. The restaurant is clean and modern, and there is a small sushi bar. There are a couple tables located outside as well. As there are a few popular restaurants located in the same stretch of the shopping mall, parking can sometimes be a little challenging, but if you're willing to walk a few extra steps, you won't have any problem. My favorite dish is their pad see ew with fried tofu. Their tofu is always perfectly cooked and seasoned. I love that this dish comes with very fresh greens with a nice crunch. I especially love visiting this restaurant during the week when I have the opportunity to take advantage of their incredible lunch specials. For $11 you can get a nice size entrée and that includes either miso soup or salad with peanut dressing. For my most recent visit, I opted for the pad Thai with fried tofu. It is consistently delicious. Service here is always very friendly and attentive. They are always refilling your water glasses. I only have positive things to say about this restaurant and I am glad they are so close to me. read more

To start I got the garlic edamame, I am not kidding when I say this place has the best garlic edamame! If you're a garlic fan just like me I highly recommend you give this a try! We got hot green tea and miso soup and I gotta say, I have a lot of miso soup but this one was really, really good. I had great flavors and lots of fresh seaweed. It has to be made fresh because you can taste the difference. We got a Fiji roll, chicken red curry and shrimp pad Thai. The Fiji roll was my favorite- salmon, masago, tuna, tempura flakes, avocado, and cucumber. I really was the most perfect roll. The curry was great- the right amount of spicy and chicken was cooked just right. Shrimp pad Thai was also flavorful and shrimp weren't over cooked which I find more often than I should. I enjoyed a quick miso soup and Blue monster roll about an hour before closing and the staff were so friendly and accommodating, the food was cooked perfectly. It's a cute little spot, a big party might not be the best here. I go to the Ulta salons across the street every 4 months and make it a tradition to order some sushi to have during my appointment. So our usual sushi spot is closed on Sunday. My wife and I just got back into town and wanted sushi. We found this restaurant on Yelp and have to say, best sushi in our area. Very small restaurant, but the staff was so nice even though they were all running around being that the restaurant was packed. We didn't have to wait long as we found to open seats at the sushi bar. As soon as we sat, we were so amazed at the different kind of rolls they were making. We started with the fried gyoza. I'm not exaggerating. The best we have had. Crunchy outside with a delicious mix of meat and flavors on the inside. Everything we ordered was so fresh and so beautifully presented. I'm not going to type it 10 different times, I'm just going to say look at the photos and enjoy your visit. They do take reservations and I recommend making them. It was packed on a Sunday night. I can't imagine how long the wait is on a Friday or Saturday. Everything you see in the pictures is absolutely amazing. Best local sushi we have had. From presentation to freshness and flavor. I am really digging Lighthouse Thai Sushi because the quality and flavor are amazing...the employees are all efficient and happy/polite (the owner will probably be the one to greet you)...and you'll be hard pressed to set foot in a restaurant that's cleaner. In my opinion there are two items that everyone just has to try: 1) Lobster Rainbow Roll, 2) the chicken tom kha kai soup. Definitely, if you're on the mend from a cold or need some feel good food on a cold day, the chicken tom kha kai is the way to go. Maybe I could get some guidance from my fellow yelpers who read this (and feel free to dm me)...what kind of sake do you drink with your sushi? I've tried a few and am yet to be "wowed". All of the sake served here are good. They freshen the taste buds in between bites. Lastly, price...when my wife and I dine in we usually spend around $70-80 for both of us, and that's including tax and tip. Now, depending on where you live that might seem like a lot or a little...but I can tell you...for the flavor, quality and the freshness of the sushi we have here, in south Florida that's a very good value. read more

In from out of town and stopped for a late lunch. Was immediately greeted by the friendly staff as we walked in. Wasn't sure what to expect as the windows are tinted and it being in a strip mall but it was nicely decorated inside and comfortable ambiance. The Japanese nachos were a perfect appetizer and the tuna was very fresh. Wish we could get that back home. We also had the lo mein and the chicken green curry. They were able to increase the spice level in the curry and it was a perfect combination of curry, coconut milk and spice. The lo mein was also very delicious and a very big portion.
