Spring Roll

Ordered take out directly through the site which saved a few $. Food arrived earlier than scheduled, hot and tasted fresh. There was also a free crunchy roll offer with any purchase over $40 which was absolutely great!

This is such a great sushi spot. I frequent this restaurant at least twice a month because the service is impeccable and the sushi is always fresh! My go to sushi rolls are: The Hurricane Roll, the Red Dragon Roll, and of course, a Spicy Tuna Roll. We do both take out and dine in, which are both great. I'd recommend dining in for a cute date night experience. Take out is ready in under 30 minutes and is always packaged nicely. If you're in the area, stop in and give them a try. They are in the Peppertree Plaza!

Food flavors are really good my only issue was that yakisoba stir fried the meat was cold went everything else was warm I don't know is they pre cook the meat to speed things up I don't know but unfortunately it doesn't help the dish. I ask for a Thai tea to go went I try it was like milk with syrup extremely sweet I got home and threw it away just extremely sweet .also green tea was cold they need to check temperature off the water on the other hand service was very great I will come back to try it again because flavor wise is very good hopefully it will be better.aHOT

Devils island and sunrise roll

My dine in experience at Nakama sushi was perfect. The sushi was 10/10. I recommend trying Devils Island (cooked) and the Sunrise roll! The presentation of the sushi was also a nice touch to our dinner. The service was really good as well. The staff were super attentive and gave us extra sauces upon request.

I LOVE this place. It's my favorite local spot in this area. My favorite sushi rolls are the yellowtail lover and the sweetheart roll. I typically start with either sushi or the chicken wonton soup. My go-to entree is pad-see-ew or pad-kee-mao with either beef or fried tofu. My husband and I come so often we're on a first name waitress with the waitress Bobo!! We absolutely adore her.

Beat sushi ever, and the girls in the restaurant are so nice! Now they have an app as well, really like the offers and discounts here

Scallop roll

What an amazing surprise this place was. We loved the previous owners and their recipes so when this restaurant turned over, we didn't go back until a friend of our said you gotta give them a try. We are so happy we did and their sushi was simply amazing! Best part of the rolls were they weren't super rice heavy and with a carb conscious person like me loved. Hubby and I are planning to go back with friends to try their Thai food as we've been told that is as just delicious too. Love supporting my community restaurants that are so yummy!!!

We came for dinner and they were unexpectedly packed on superbowl night. They had a new chef so the kitchen was a bit slow, but these were minor quibbles. We were not in a hurry. Their menu is huge! 8 pages of Japanese and Thai offerings... and even a page of Korean dishes. It was not easy to choose what to order as many items sounded appealing. I started with their lobster island. It was a mix of lobster, flying fish eggs (tobiko), and kani (krab) in a ceviche like lime dressing/"sauce" all stuffed into a half peeled avocado. It was beautifully presented with an orchid flower and lime slice. And it was a delicious starter. My husband had their tom kha soup to start -- coconut milk and lemon grass broth with 4 shrimp, onions, and mushrooms. It was slightly spicy. Not too hot, but enough to give it personality. He liked his soup a lot. Following our starters, we had two basic sushi rolls: he had a salmon California roll. And I had a JB tempura roll which was salmon and cream cheese and scallions flash fried. It was larger than expected and exactly what I was in the mood for. Service was friendly. Two servers worked the entire room. And they were also doing a lot of takeout orders at the same time. This is a great new addition to the area. They should do very well here. And yes, we would definitely return!

Thai Curry Restaurant is such a hidden gem in Tamarac!…read more I treated my FIL and husband to Thai food during our Thanksgiving weekend visit. There was plenty of parking. We were greeted immediately and sat down at a clean table. We all ordered a Thai tea which was incredibly reasonably priced at only $3.50 a glass. My FIL and I also ordered a Tom Kha soup (his had shrimp, mine was chicken). He ordered cashew nut sauce with pork, my husband ordered tofu basil noodles, and I ordered tofu Massaman curry. Everything tasted great and my Massaman curry was one of the best I've ever had! It was different with sweet potato in it but the sauce was so flavorful. We all enjoyed our meals and had enough to take home. I spent (with tip), less than $80 for all of us to have 2 meals each. The portions are big enough to have a second meal! The staff here are all very nice and quick, too. We didn't have any issues with our orders and they were very attentive. Thai Curry Restaurant...5 stars!

My massaman curry that I specified with no cashews came with cashews. (i have a nut allergy), the curry itself was tasty but it was watery. the crab rangoons were definitely made differently, with a thicker wrapper and less filling. Not sure if I will be back, mistakes do happen but I fear the quality of food is also down. On the hunt for a new thai spot near me!

My mom and I came around 6:30ish tonight (Friday night) and the place was completely empty. We were immediately greeted and told to pick any table we wanted. There were 5 4-top tables inside the restaurant as well as counter seating, however, it doesn't seem they use the counters for serving as they were full of to-go orders and other things. I'm sure if they were full they would make room. The place is nice and homey and decorated super cute. It's a small restaurant but comfortable. By the time we were finishing up all the tables were full and it was still a reasonable volume. Our server was the nicest woman ever! She was super attentive even while taking care of every single table in the restaurant. She was extremely nice and super helpful. There's not one bad thing to say about her. We decided to order the sashimi appetizer, the miso soup, the paradise roll, and 6 pieces of sushi from the a la carte menu as well as a small side of fried rice. We also got one of the cold sake bottles and a glass of the house white wine (Chardonnay). First, the sake bottle was so cute it was pink and our server placed it in a wine cooler type thing to keep it cold. My wine glass was huge and filled to the top! It was more like 2-3 glasses of wine rather than 1 which I loved! As for the food, my favorite dishes were the fried rice, the paradise roll, and the miso soup. The sashimi appetizer was good, however, the fish was slightly fishy tasting which in my mind means it's not as fresh as it could be. It was still good just tasted slightly off than what I'm used to. As for my a la carte sushi pieces I got the salmon, tuna, ika, ebi, octopus, and tamago. I have a few things to mention regarding these pieces. First of all, I know some people may say this is a weird thing to complain about but the fish pieces were far too large. Compared to the amount of rice, the fish pieces were overtaking the rice. Second, some of the pieces of fish again tasted not as fresh as they could be, with some of the fish being so tough I couldn't even chew it (specifically the squid and the octopus). These fish are supposed to be like butter from experience. All in all, I had a great experience and the food was overall really good, just not sure if I would order sushi again next time. I feel like I'll try out the Thai food menu next.

The staff was very helpful and attentive throughout our visit, constantly refilling our water glasses and checking in on us, which we really appreciated. The menus are on individual iPads, which was interesting, but I liked that each item had a picture to go along with the description. I ordered a Thai iced tea, and my friend ordered a cocktail with tequila, passion fruit, tamarind juice, and fee foam. My drink was good and strong, and hers was also really good, nice and tart, which we both enjoyed. For appetizers, we ordered the crispy money bags and the chor muang dumplings, and both were delicious. The crispy money bags, filled with sweet potato, onion, and curry powder and served with pineapple sauce, had a great crunch. The chor muang dumplings were especially surprising, in a good way. They contain shrimp and pork and are wrapped in a butterfly pea flower dumpling, which gives them their beautiful purple color. However, I wasn't expecting them to be sweet. The presentation was amazing as well. We split one entree, which was the pad see ew with chicken. It comes with flat noodles, Chinese broccoli, egg, and a brown sauce. It was delicious, the noodles held the sauce really well. My friend ordered a second drink, which we can't remember the name of, that she didn't enjoy as much. She found it a bit too sweet and didn't love the aftertaste. Overall, we enjoyed almost everything we tried. We weren't expecting so many dishes to have a hint of sweetness, but we'll definitely be back to try more.
