Sakura Boat for 2
Jarid P.

Always great service and ambiance. Very attentive staff and love the cozy booths. I have been here probably 5 times over the last couple years and always very consistent. Got the "Sugar Daddy" role which was sweet and tasty and then a full boat. Definitely recommend

Forget flowers -- bring your date here and thank me later. If Coral Springs has a hidden sushi champion, this is it. If you're looking for the perfect place in Coral Springs to impress a date or just enjoy a quiet night out, Sakura Sushi is it. Tucked into University Drive, it's a cozy gem that delivers quality far beyond what you'd expect from its unassuming exterior. The star of the menu is the nigiri -- fresh, delicate, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Each piece is crafted with precision, the kind of sushi where the rice, fish, and wasabi balance perfectly without being overpowered. The rolls are equally wonderful, ranging from clean, classic flavors to inventive combinations that make every bite a little adventure. Portions are generous without being over the top, and the presentation is beautiful. Inside, Sakura has a warm, inviting feel. It's not flashy or overproduced -- instead, it's the kind of place where you can actually have a conversation. The lighting is soft, the service is attentive without hovering, and there's just enough background buzz to keep it lively. That's what makes it such a great date spot: intimate but comfortable. Whether you're sharing plates on a first date or enjoying a quiet dinner with someone you've been with for years, Sakura sets the stage perfectly. It's also great for a solo sushi night, when you just want quality fish and some peace from the outside world. The nigiri is so good it should come with a warning label for broken chopsticks. Sakura Sushi is everything you want in a sushi restaurant: incredible nigiri, wonderful rolls, intimate atmosphere, and service that makes you feel welcome. Whether for date night, a quiet evening, or just feeding your sushi craving, this is one of Coral Springs' best-kept secrets.

Sakura Sushi has been one of my long time favorite sushi spots here in Coral Springs. Small spot but what I like the most is the private booths. They have about four of those. You may feel is private but walls are paper thin and you can hear entire conversations coming from the other booths. LOL very amusing I may add. My usual order is the Tuna Tataki and Shrimp Tempura roll can't go wrong with those and side of eel sauce. The Vegetable Udon noodles are really good too. The servers are really nice and service is fast.

Mambo Mango Roll

I come here once a month to catch up with my friend who lives in the area, and whenever we try to go somewhere new, it just doesn't happen. We love Sakura for their food and atmosphere. They have booths with doors so you can talk all you want without worrying about bothering your neighbors. This time I got the Mambo Mango Roll, which is pictured below, but I swapped out the shrimp for Salmon. They're very nice about making substitutions and the service is great!

What a lunch!! My daughter and I drove out here because of the great review, and it was totally worth the drive. Theres plenty of parking in front, so that was pretty easy. We were kindly greeted as we entered. There's a large sushi bar as well as booths with sliding doors that allow for some privacy. The latter is super unique. The menu has lots of Japanese favorites. I was especially pleased that the lunch specials are available on Saturdays, and they come with miso soup and a nice fresh salad. My daughter and I settled on three rolls to share: spicy tuna, volcano, and spider. The rolls did not disappoint! They were super fresh and sizable. Quite delicious and well made. The ladies who work here are very kind. We hope to come back soon to try some other rolls.

Unfiltered saki

This place had the cutest booths- with sliding doors! They have an extensive menu of sushi, tempura and sashimi. So many things, I will have to return. Also great saki! I like unfiltered. The staff was super nice and helped us through some of the menu. Very polite and welcoming. Good parking. Good bathroom.

I drove by this place the other day on way to work and am always up for new dining experiences. The decor is so authentic and different from other sushi establishments I've frequented. The booths have a private divider that provides an intimate dining adventure. They have a great lunch deal with many choices that come with miso soup and salad. Very reasonably priced and fresh. Our server was kind, attentive, and efficient. I would say that the tuna lover roll is superior to the TGIF roll. Pleasant little gem tucked in a shopping center. Better prices, ambience, and uniqueness than most sushi restaurants.

Neon pink tuna.

Not sure what's up here, but I've never had a piece of sushi grade tuna this neon pink before. I called the restaurant and asked what's up with the tuna. Q: Why is the tuna this color? A:" because it's near the berries. Q: what do you mean it's near the berries? Why are you keeping raw fish next to produce? A: no it's fresh too, but it's next to berries. Next time you call I give you fresh piece" Wtf does that mean why is raw fish being kept next to berries? Why is the color of the berries rubbing off on the tuna? And what do you mean a fresh piece? The piece that I was served wasn't fresh? If I don't get sick from this, I won't comment on this post again. Even still I don't think I'll be ordering from this place again.

What a great restaurant! Everyone is so friendly, and the rolls are HUGE! We came because our friend's family have come here for years (like at least a decade). I highly recommend. Very cute side seating (private booths). Ample parking. Delicious. A family owned Mom and Pop to support :)

2/10/2024 @ 2:00pm- I would like to go back to 1:59pm and tell myself to go home instead of walking in here. Worst mistake of my foodie life. I ordered one of their lunch special. Rainbow roll, miso and salad. Not a bad deal for $16. Miso was typical and so was the "salad". Iceberg lettuce with ginger dressing, nothing special. When the sushi roll arrived I just looked at it in disbelief. The thinnest cuts of the tuna, salmon and white fish I'd ever seen. The tiny slivers of avocado just wrapped in a bunch of rice. Rice was super cold and old. The tuna was the brightest color of red I'd ever seen. It even colored the rice. No flavor whatsoever. I had to drench the whole thing in soy sauce. I would say I had the sweetest woman taking care of me, that's my one star. The restaurant gets zero stars. STAY CLEAR. Do NOT RECOMMEND.

We came here thinking it was Sakura Ramen but it was late so we decided to stay. We enjoyed everything we had, which was the pan-fried gyoza, clear soup, ginger salad, teriyaki scallops, and chicken Pad Thai. The scallops were pricey for only six of them plus rice and vegetables. The Pad Thai is quite tasty but I like a spicy Pad Thai so I got a side of Sriracha to mix in which was great. The service was friendly and the food arrived quickly. We sat in a booth with sliding doors which made dinner more intimate. We didn't try the sushi, but that menu is huge. We would return to try the sushi and order the gyoza again.

The rainbow roll was simple yet tasty as it possessed fresh fish and flavor!

Sakura Sushi has been a pillar stone of the original restaurants of Coral Springs. Kind of looking to shake up the normal routine, I decided to give Sakura Sushi a go. Going inside, the booths were filled, but we were able to be seated rather quickly at the tables. For dinner, we ordered 1x rainbow roll and 1x vegetable udon noodle. Going into my review, the food and services were pretty good! The udon noodle was a great bang for your buck as it came with both a soup and salad! The udon noodle had nice textures and came in a sweet n savory sauce; although tasty, it could've used more veg. The rainbow roll was simple yet tasty as it possessed fresh fish and flavor! Service moreover was friendly and attentive. Overall, I had a pleasant experience at Sakura Sushi and would be happy to stop by again. My final verdict is a 4/5! :)

Been waiting to try this place for awhile but I never got the chance, I'm so glad we did! It gives of the vibe of a mom and pops shop and they have private booths which I find super unique. The staff was very nice and very attentive, we came around lunch time and my husband got the pad thai which was so flavorful. Has to be one of the top 5 pad thai's I have eaten. My sister and I got the bento boxes. It came with soup and salad, the ginger dressing was delicious. Everything came out fast and the portions was big and worth the price. I would most definitely be coming back!

And their ambiance is fun, especially when they open their extension on weekends. We've gone at lunch and dinner, with just our small family and with a larger group. Our friends from Miami trek all the way north just to come here to fulfill their Korean cravings, and we proudly and gladly join. If you come with a big group, call ahead! My usual in the beginning was the seafood soft tofu soup, but since have added to our rotation: rose tteokboki (a must share), yaki spicy stir-fried ramen (basically if you want the yummy spicy rose sauce but sub the tteokboki with ramen noodles), Japanese curry cutlet (katsu), Korean fried chicken, bulgogi fried rice, pork belly, and galbi. We've tried a few others on the menu, but these are what we highly recommend to our friends. Even our little ones love it here! When we order drinks, they all have been good and they definitely don't skimp on the alcohol in their cocktails. My husband prefers drinking beer and usually will go for the Tsingtao or Sapporo. Don't ask us about the dessert though because by the end of our meal, we're usually stuffed! Overall, if we have any cravings for Korean food and don't want the kbbq experience, you can definitely find us here!

We have friends who absolutely love this place, and since we were in the area... what the heck?…read more We had a pretty good dinner, not something I'd regularly drive all the way down here for but all in all pretty good. We got in on a Friday night with no reservations, and got seated right away. Fun vibe with upbeat pop music playing, fun young staff, a gift shop, and decent decor. Food was brought out as each individual thing was finished instead of for the whole table, so a meal came before an app and one of us had all their food before the other, but eventually we had all our stuff and it was time to eat. Portions were good sized. Food was very tasty but not a lot of spice. We had asked for medium to be safe but everything was utterly devoid of heat.

It was about 30 minutes from my hotel and I arrived around 730 on Saturday. I was greeted by a friendly host. I asked for the hibachi table and waited about 5 minutes for it to be ready. I sat with a small group. I ordered the steak and shrimp with fried rice (about 29 dollars). The included soup and salad came first, but then the chef came pretty quickly. The onion soup was fine with the mushrooms, and the salad was decent with the ginger dressing. The chef prepared the rice and noodles first. The rice was pretty flavorful with the garlic, but the noodles were thin and just flavored with soy sauce. The steak came next and was correctly prepared to my rare temperature. It was tender enough and a little juicy, and nicely portioned. The shrimp came last as one guest was allergic to it. There were about 8 or 9 pieces, which included 2 for appetizer. They were plump and good, but only flavored with soy sauce. At last the garlic they added made it better. I was able to save a little shrimp and rice to go, and the food was filling as well. The service was friendly and quick. The dining area was very small with maybe 5 hibachi tables max and a couple regular tables. It was pretty quiet even with the small crowd. There was no music either, and not even much sizzling from the hibachi either. My biggest gripe was that there wasn't much entertainment from the cooking. No utensil acrobatics, no flipping of the eggs, not even an onion volcano. Just a quick fire during the start and a bit of humor as well. I guess Kobe in Orlando spoils me with their awesome antics. Overall, this place was more of a 3.75 (B-), but rounding up to 4. Food was fine, service was good, but I wish it was more entertaining. For the price paid, it was worth the trip. However, next time I might go somewhere closer to my hotel, or pay lots of $$$ for a bit more entertainment at Benihanas.
