Amazing atmosphere with great sushi so fresh and their crab legs were so good ... a must try when visiting Florida

We love this place but be warned there is always a wait and usually a very long line up even before the doors are open. The staff is nice, the ambience is nice and the food is good. I love the hibachi. Steak, chicken, seafood. Noodles, veggies and like 8 difference sauces to try! It is a must. There is a TON is sushi, although, I don't eat it my husband does. He reports is was fresh! And the selection is perfect. They have a carving station, and there are always stapes, like gyoza, dumplings, tempura, and rangoon, Chinese donuts, .etc but the other dishes seem to change often ! It's expensive all the time, weekday and more on the weekend but it's AYCE :) read more

Excellent buffet place! Was surprised by how many people were in line. They give you a buzzer to let you know when they are ready to seat. It took about 30 minutes on a Saturday night. Inside: sushi lines the first section with sashimi, Nigiri, raw sushi, seaweed salad, etc. Flavor of the sushi was surprisingly good for a buffet. The other sections were hibachi and prepared foods, including beef and veg, pineapple chicken, which I assume is like sesame chicken and the classic crab Rangoon, eggrolls, wok noodles. I actually found the desserts to be my favorite. Their crème brûlée was on point as well as their Panna cotta. I shared a picture of the chocolate fountain because that is a fun touch. Very nice place , the sushi bar looked amazing. I don't eat sushi but I do eat all the other stuff. Our server was quite prompt at getting our dishes cleared. The decor and set up of this restaurant is quite interesting. The pineapple chicken was amazing. We also enjoyed the french fries and chicken nuggets. Four of us ate for about 90 dollars. With a tip , we spent 110 dollars. For 4 seniors. Everything I ate I enjoyed. I was craving Japanese buffet and I am so glad that I choose this place. I had the lunch special which is $20 per person all you can eat. The food was delicious here. Towards the left they had a hibachi area but you are not allowed to add the rice with it. Luis was the associate that served my mom and I and he was very nice. There is a lot of options in what to eat here and the dessert options were delicious as well. As for drinks my mom and I had a glass of water. Tina was the server and she was very nice. I didn't like one thing she did was to give us the check before we finished eating. I do want to go back to delicious and amazing experience. The food is soo amazing. read more

My Father-in-law took us here for lunch and it's a pretty solid AYCE restaurant for when you're feeling super hungry! It's tucked away in an outdoor shopping center but there's plenty of parking. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and sat in a cozy corner. There's tons of options from sushi, appetizers, desserts, and there's a Mongolian grill as well. For AYCE, the sushi was really good and I especially loved the roll with the kiwi on top. Everything was fresh and tasted great. The restaurant was clean and the service was good. The restroom was well stocked and clean as well. Miyako is a great AYCE restaurant and I wouldn't shy away from coming back if I'm in the area again. read more

Arrived at 6:05 pm. There were people waiting outside. We checked in for 5 people. The hostess said 30-35 minutes. She was right on. We sat down at 6:40. We did review the Buffett while waiting. WOw. So many options!!! Our server Ling was very kind and efficient. We used the readily available gloves to handle the tongs! The sushi was being made and continuously turning. I'm usually not a fan of buffets but this place is awesome!!! They have something for everyone. Hibachi, traditional Chinese, sushi and. OH my. Save room for a few bites of dessert. Now this is a buffet. A huge sushi bar in the middle with all varieties of sushi and including shrimp, crab, lobster and oysters. You can also get stir fry and hibachi dishes. They have a full regular buffet with various soups, meats, seafood, and tempura items. The desserts are great to include ice cream and fondue. I have been coming to this plaza weekly now for something or other. Something that got my attention was the long lines this restaurant always has. I knew it was a place I wanted to check out. The restaurant is busy, always. The staff does a phenomenal job of keeping a good flow going. It is an all-you-can-eat type of place with a set price. I came for the sushi and the rolls. I loved the rolls here. They had great combinations and tasted great. I was happy with everything I tried. I didn't get to try the sushi because I stuffed myself with rolls. I liked how on top the staff was on arranging and replenishing the stuff. Everything looked great. The customer service was great. The waitress came around a few times. It was great to come back to Miyako after a few years of absence. The weekday lunch is now $18.99 pp and guests have 1.5 hours to enjoy the AYCE buffet. I found the flavors this time, bolder and better than last time. Maybe they have a new chef. I really enjoyed this place. The food was outstanding even the pre-cooked food like the lobster and crab, the hibachi was fantastic, and the star of the show was the sushi Island. The service and ambience are what you can expect from and all you can eat buffet. Everyone was friendly and smiling, which we all loved. The restaurant itself was very clean and very well kept! No weird fish smells! We appreciated the fact that we always had fresh food, we saw restaurants staff removing food that had sat for too long. Some other buffets should take note. The snow crab legs were cold only. We really would've loved to have had nice hot steaming crab legs. But that only cost them one half star. I've been coming to Miyako for many years especially when I used to live in South Florida. This place gets crazy busy especially on the weekends and even very early. If you have a large party, you can call ahead and make a reservation. They even have back rooms to have parties. They offer a lunch menu and they also have takeout that they weigh by the pound. You pay one price and can go up as many times as you like. They just frown upon wasting food, so take what you want, but make sure you don't waste it. I make it a point every time I visit my family we come here. I mostly only come here on the weekends. That's when they serve everything. There is a large assortment of fresh sushi of all kinds being made right in front of the buffet on one side by 4 sushi chefs, and sashimi on the other side along with one of my favorites, an entire steamed salmon you help yourself to. Several types of fresh salads like seaweed, cold calamari salad, quail eggs, raw oysters, mussels, shrimp cocktail, snow crab legs along with several sauces. Then you go to the actual salad bar. Tossed green salad, fresh steamed asparagus,seafood salad, pickles, and green olives, and sliced red beets, steamed edamame,peaches,oranges, leeches,pineapple, and honeydew melon . On the other side is the dessert bar with mini desserts. 2 kinds of cheesecakes, coconut pudding, jiggly jello, Panna cotta with mango pearls, crème brûlée, flan, mini cannoli's, an assortment of cakes including chocolate cake, and coconut macaroons. At the end is a chocolate fountain with marshmallows and fresh fruit for dipping. ( kids love this.) Across from there is an assortment of Hot Chinese style soups, and toppings, mini eggrolls, fried chicken, lobster in ginger sauce, chicken n broccoli, fresh string beans, duck with a brown sauce, pork lo mein, bbq Chinese spareribs, shrimp shumai , pork dumplings ,fried rice, shrimp in a coconut sauce, Manila clams with garlic butter, french fries, steamed red potatoes, corn on the cob, and a roast that you slice yourself. Down away from that is a Hibachi Bar with two chefs you pick your protein and your vegetables and they will cook it up for you. The ambience is simple with tables and booths and several dining rooms. The staff is always very friendly and very accommodating. I always love to get their hot green tea. There is so much food it is overwhelming. Even the pickiest eaters can find something here. Man are we gonna miss this place. We moved back to TX but this was such a treat to our family. A most visit if your craving a great, solid buffet. The food is fresh, abundant, and we never experienced them running out of anything. There will be a wait as it was packed every time we went but the staff run it like a well oiled machine and the turn over is quicker than you'd expect. I love the all you can eat sushi. There is so much variety and everything is fresh and delicious. We went for lunch on a Saturday before a concert at the Hard Rock Hotel. The price was around $21 which I thought was pretty reasonable for all the food you got. We got there at 3:00 and they close for lunch at 3:30 so I worried the food would be old or they would be out of stuff. But everything was still fresh and they were putting out new food even that late in the day. I was very impressed and very full when we left. The restaurant has a large seafood counter in the middle. In the far back they have Asian fusion dishes, hibachi station on the left and a dessert bar between the sushi and hot food. During my Miami trip I decided too do a Seafood Buffet review. Miyako is my 2nd stop of this trip. Miyako has some of the freshest seafood. Regrettably, the Tuna that was served tonight was frozen from the pinkish look. But that should not stop you from coming and trying all the other wonderful and fresh options. The food was presented well and stocked quickly once the tray was low or empty. They are well staffed and table service was acceptable and they always checked if you were still breathing! Lol! Let me start off by saying I think this place is beautiful. Hope this experience can help you as you plan your events. I planned a gathering for 28 people here today 11:30. I confirmed again the day before. The manager promised me the room would be ready for us and he would give us 2 hours to eat. We arrived promptly at 11:30 before the doors opened. The room they gave us was the busy one by the kitchen. The table was not ready. Tables were not moved or setup. The employees were eating at the tables they wanted us to use. We didn't get seated until 11:50 because they were not ready and even then I had to put the silverware at the seats myself. There was one extra table in the corner we didn't use and she seated 2 strangers there immediately. They were quite nice and didn't mind being part of our party but it was odd. By 12:30 the server already brought me the check and to make it easier for them we put the entire check on one card. Then as anyone got up from their seats to greet their friends, she started seating people there before we left. We were a bit rushed to say the least. This was a group of older friends with disabilities. Youngest being 50. We ate in less than an hour. Everything was good and our server was very nice but one hour and ten minutes was not enough time for a large group. read more

Found this spot while on vacation in yelp! AYCE sushi, food was great, sushi was fresh, they had tons of oyster in a half shell fully shucked and they were amazing. The wait staff were super friendly and super attentive. We had a party of 7, 2 toddlers, and they were took really great care of us during this time. The kids enjoyed the food, my picky mother tried every sushi roll on the line, and the chocolate fondue fountain was the star. The restaurant was spacious and clean so it was super easy to navigate. Walk in and the first thing you see is the sushi part of the buffet and it's real pretty. We were instantly sat and headed to the buffet to do a walk around. They have it all from raw bar to hibachi. We tried to taste as much as possible but there is definitely too much for one night. 95 percent of what we tasted we liked ally and the other 5 percent we just liked. Great service, everyone is super attentive. The place has cool decor but the true art is the food. Great job and I'll be back for sure. Go give it a shot. read more
