Okay let me be honest ... we were planning to get Thai at another restaurant, but there was a long wait and we were hungry. One member of our dining party noticed this place as we were along federal highway so he looked them up and gave them a call. There was a table available, so we went over. The place is small but pleasant. The staff were nice enough and seated us right away. The downside - and the reason I rounded down to three stars - was that it appeared as though one waitress was covering the entire restaurant by herself. So it was a little slow to get tea, to take orders, and then to bring our bill. It was just enough of a nuisance where I decided to make it 3. Now about the food: my expectations weren't too high because many times doing sushi and Thai means that both are average. But that was not the case. We stuck to Thai and had a curry and a pad Thai (in my humble opinion the quality of the pad Thai says a lot about the restaurant). Both dishes were pretty good. The green curry had a lot of flavor and plenty of fresh vegetables. The pad thai looked like it might be oily but it was not, and the sauce was a very pleasant level of savory and sweet. When you come in, they're very inviting their ass immediately. Would you like to sit inside or outside. The customer service was excellent. I used to come here on my lunch break in the past and I knew they had very good Tom Kai soup. I'm a bit under the weather and the soup was just what I needed. I had the right amount of spice right amount of heat. I like the fact that the waitress asked if I wanted vegetables in it because I told her I don't eat meat. When the server arrived with my wonton soup, I could not wait to dig in. It contained pieces of chicken, scallions, carrot, broccoli, and three wontons in a rich flavorful broth. It most definitely hit the spot, down to the last spoonful. The server came around and asked if I would like anything else. I thought for a second (still in foodie bliss over that delicious soup) and ordered a California roll. It was freshly prepared and also delicious. Less sodium soy sauce was provided for dipping, adding flavor without being too salty. Though I didn't order much, it was satisfying and was at a reasonable price. We have been going to Musashi for years and it was always good. Since they moved to different spot on the same property and made there restaurant bigger their food has gotten better. Their sushi is always fresh and their Thai dishes are spot on. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. The prices are very reasonable for the amount and quantity of food you get. This is definitely a place to go for real sushi and Thai. It's not a trendy loud spot where you need to show up in a fancy car to impress everyone. I was so happy to find this place. It's kind of dark ambience and a good vibe, friendly people. The service was amazing and I ordered seaweed salad, a sashimi appetizer, and the shrimp dumplings! I had an amazing time at Musashi. In terms of starters, I'd go with the spring rolls, crab rangoons, and edamame. All of it was hot and flavorful. I had chicken pad thai for an entree, and I was so pleased. The portions are large, so I took home about half of the dish. My green tea ice cream was good, although a little freezer burnt. The space itself if airy and comfortable. There are plenty of seats available and a large parking lot outside. The service was fantastic. My iced tea never ran out. The food was delivered quickly. Tried musashi for the first time and it was great! The food was ready for pickup in just 20 minutes. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted. The staff were very welcoming and nice. We ordered for pick up, but they had some cute outdoor seating in front and a nice atmosphere inside. The miso soup was better than others I've had in the area. The sushi rolls were well priced, and the volcano roll was so filling! Definitely recommend Musashi for affordable sushi. We'd tried to come here about 10 months ago and they were closed, so we assumed they might not be open on Sunday's. In fact we'd seen a tip asking the same question. But the hours listed on yelp showed they were open and we were in the area craving sushi. We figured we'd drive by and if closed, had already selected a backup. Guess what? They were open! We were seated immediately early on a Sunday eve. Only two other booths were taken, so we had our pick of seats. I started with a green salad with ginger sauce. Typical iceberg with carrotty ginger dressing which I like. It was fine. My husband had their seaweed salad which was served in a cute boat shaped dish. I'm used to this dish having red pepper flakes. It didn't. It was also okay. After that I had their Kanisu roll. This rice less roll has krab inside thin cucumber. It's served in a pool of sunomo dressing or a sweet rice wine vinegar. It was good. I'd also ordered one of their blackboard specials: hamachi collar -- the neck (throat) section of yellow tail snapper. I'd asked for it to be done extra well and had to send it back to be cooked more. This was my least favorite dish. The fish was rather bland. I like it when it has a bit of grill flavor. My husband had a sashimi appetizer which came with tuna and salmon. The fish looked fresh and was thickly cut. But again, just ok -- not exciting. Bottom line -- most items are just okay. Nothing stood out as really impressive. We were a bit rushed as dishes were cleared while we were still chewing the last bite of our food. But we got a very friendly goodbye from all the staff... There is so much competition in the area, that we probably won't be back. read more

I always get the combo c sushi special which comes with a half California roll, sashimi, salad, and another half roll I can't quite remember. The sashimi is salmon and white fish. They're filling and flavorful but simple. The service is very fast and super friendly. I think it's better to sit indoors, which is very spacious instead of sitting outside and looking at the parking lot. Quiet place for the most part but it does get busy during lunch hour M-F.
