Spent almost $40 on two menu items. The chicken sandwich and a quesadilla. The food was ok for a food truck, however, the chicken portion on both menu items were small. The bun was much wider than the chicken patty. In the quesadilla the chicken ended about halfway into the tortilla and the cheese about 3/4 of the way in. The folks working at the Truck are very hard-working good people. I was having a bad day and was unrightfully rude to the nice woman working the truck. She was so accommodating, sweet and willing to help that I instantly realized how rude I was being to her. The food was amazing and the way they handle their business is admirable. Tried the Primerano Parmesano aka Chicken Parm. Delicious. Crispy white meat chicken breast, tomato sauce with nice spice and creamy and slightly sweet homemade ricotta more like mascarpone than traditional ricotta but delicious nonetheless. Went back to try Lobster Roll. In New England there are essentially two types, Connecticut style warm with drawn butter and Maine style, cold with a little mayo. This is essentially a Connecticut style, warm lobster drenched in butter in a NE style hot dog bun (sliced on top). My personal preference is a combination of Maine and Connecticut, warm with drawn butter and mayo on the side of the bun. This roll is a great value at $23, plenty of fresh lobster meat that looked mostly from the knuckle and claw (couldn't detect any tail meat). Lobster was perhaps slightly chewy or overcooked but for freshness, value and size I would still rate it very highly. Not quite as good as Maine where the lobsters go from the trap, to the pot, to your roll but...hey...we're in Florida so still quite good!! So far having tried two items I would say this may be my favorite food truck evah!! read more

The Twisted Hippie Kitchen food truck came to our community today, and wow...what an experience! My son went straight for the Flippin' Bird Loaded Fries while I tried the Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadilla. The smell alone had us rushing back to our apartment, and honestly, the food tasted even better than we imagined. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It was so good that I went back for round two this time a Lobster Roll with coleslaw and a pickle for my mom to enjoy after work. The owner was incredibly kind and even surprised us with Mac n' Cheese Bites, which was such a thoughtful touch. What I love most is that everything is cooked to order; no reheated food, just fresh, quality ingredients and big flavors. They've got the right motto, the right vibe, and now they've got a loyal customer in me. Can't wait until they come back! read more

Excellent food truck :) I just ordered a lobster roll and did so via the VERY CONVENIENT QR code. You can order, add any special instructions (less butter, more butter), even pay in advance and then they text you when the order is ready. The convenience of the online ordering is an outstanding idea for a food truck. I work in a very busy office and I did not have to stand outside to order or to wait for the food. I am very (very) picky about a lobster rolls as I do not like the fatty claw ends (which I let them know in my special comments). I ended up with a bread that had only lobster meat. There is not celery or anything else to take away from the lobster meat. My daughter got the same and only wished it had more lemon butter, which surely you can request in the comment section when ordering. It was not a huge roll but it is priced accordingly. It also came with a pickle and what tastes like home made cole slaw. Hubs had a chicken sandwich with candied jalapenos! He kept commenting on how good it was, and those candied jalapenos which they told me they make themselves. Try it! I didn't know what I wanted to eat today and was driving around when I stumbled upon Twisted Hippie across from the Mission Bay Self Storage on 441. We pulled in saw they had lots of options to choose from. I ordered The Flippin Bird while my sister got chicken tenders & mac & cheese bites. The staff was super personable/friendly. They explained they make everything from scratch & it's easy to tell ! The chicken was juicy & fresh & the fries were also just as tasty.
