Classic old corner store right in Pompano. It's like walking into a different era. Old, but clean! I have driven by this store many times, and I never knew they had breakfast and lunch items inside. It wasn't until I checked here on Yelp that I learned they have highly rated breakfast sandwiches. My husband and I took a drive over here to get some breakfast sandwiches to go and enjoy eating them at the nearby park that faces the lighthouse. The people at the store were very friendly when we entered and greeted us warmly. The gentleman at the counter making the breakfast sandwiches was helpful as he took our orders. The sandwich sandwiches were hot and generously filled with eggs and cheese. I was a tad disappointed to see that they use American cheese, but perhaps if you ask for cheddar cheese, they have it. Still, the breakfast sandwiches were delicious and hit the spot! We won't hesitate to return again. read more

Lost a Loyal Customer Over Their Own Mistake I've been a daily customer here for a long time, but after what happened today, I'll never be back. I ordered my usual sandwich and told them I'd be back in an hour to pick it up. I was told I hadn't paid for it -- even though I showed the cashier clear proof of payment on my bank statement. I even called Chase Bank right there on the spot, and they confirmed to the cashier the exact amount, date, and time of the transaction. Despite all that, he still refused to believe me and said, "It's between you and God if you paid for it." That kind of disrespect and lack of professionalism is unbelievable. After everything I went through to prove I paid, I told him I'd never come back -- and he actually said, "Good." I've spent a lot of money here over the year, but clearly loyalty means nothing to them. Absolutely unacceptable customer service. read more

Fabulous store and fabulous people I bought some ginger ales there and in passing said I felt dizzy from the heat. The woman behind the counter -not sure if she's the manager -told me if I wanted I could sit in a chair to recover my breath. I liked this little convenience store. They didn't have gas and it wasn't huge but they did have the essentials for a quick beer run and the beer selection was much better than I expected. They even stock Lagunitas which I did not expect. All in all, it was quick and 0.3 miles from where I am staying, so I liked it read more

Everything a convenience corner store should be! They have everything I ever need if I need it quickly, and saves me a trip to Publix. They have a nice selection of beers, wines, Champagnes, waters, juices, ice cream, chips, toiletries, medicine, bait, ice, you get the idea. They also have Lotto, and prepare custom fresh subs and made to order breakfast sandwiches which are very good, and they also sell homemade Baklava which is divine. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they will go out of their way to get you what you need. They open early and close late, a very convenient corner store just down the street. read more

I have known this store and it's owners for many years. At no point through the last 20 years, have I ever not felt welcome. Just being there is like visiting family. That tradition is still strong in the managing staff. This little store is nothing to look at from the outside but is a great little spot for fresh sandwiches, bait, sodas, beer and even propane. It's right by the beach and the fishing fleet, so it's super convenient. I live nearby and walk to pick up fresh made sandwiches- better than subway or other chain sandwich places. The people who run it are pleasant and courteous. I'm hopeful they'll invest in improving the exterior and interior when they finish the new housing project on the Intracoastal across the street. read more
