Bagels!
Roy F.

We have been to other Mitch's Bagels locations before and have experienced great sandwiches, bagels and salads ... and Fantastic service. So when we saw Mitch's Downtown was open across from our Yelp event, we had to stop. A familiar face greeted us and welcomed us to their new place. We knew we were getting bagels to take home and they hadn't run out of our favorites just yet. A 3 for 3 (100%) wonderful experience, Mitch's is truly Your Neighborhood Deli and will be of great service to the residential community arising around them!

This Mitch's Downtown is fairly new and opened up recently in the brand new downtown of Coral Springs! I was so excited to try it out as I've heard great things about Mitch's in other locations! I loved the vibe even though I wish it could have a little more outdoor seating and it's a bit small inside. The menu looks amazing though! We were going around lunch so the bagels were all almost sold out so definitely have to go earlier to try some of the fresh bagels they have on display! I ordered the Cali chicken cutlet sandwich on rye! All of their sandwiches you can get on a variety of breads, wraps or bagels! I thought the service was quick and made fresh to order. The Cali chicken cutlet sandwich was decent I just don't think I'd get it again! A bit too greasy from the bacon and I think a better sauce other than green goddess would pair better with the combination but that's my opinion. The chicken and avocado was super fresh though. I definitely want to stop by again soon and I will when back in Coral Springs as I definitely want to try the bagels to see if they live up to the hype

After attending a Yelp event across the street, we stopped here to pick up some bagels to bring home. We were happily surprised to be warmly greeted by a familiar face. Quite a while back, we went to a Mitch's in Fort Lauderdale and later another location in Hallandale. And guess who remembered us? Wow. Mitch's has all your deli favorites -- lots of breakfast options as well as sandwiches and wraps. And of course, all sorts of items on a bagel. Service is friendly. Prices are reasonable. And everything you will try here is good as it is in all their other locations. We got an everything bagel and a whole wheat bagel to try. And we know if in the area, we'd stop back by -- even just to say hello to the family!

This is a great new location which is perfectly located below a new apartment complex at Sample Road and University Drive just north of The Walk in Coral Springs. The restaurant is pretty small with a few tables inside and a few small tables outside. There is a parking garage next door and street parking in the front which they will validate your parking for an hour while you order and eat. The menu is similar to their other locations for bagels and coffee. I am so happy they opened this new location because Mitch's Bagels are very good and the service at this location is also very good.

So I had seen that this place opened up near me, so I decided to give it a try. I did not know they had validated parking so I parked a great distance away, and hiked on over. It was a Saturday early afternoon and it was very busy. You could barely move around. I ended up ordering the lavender Matcha latte iced and the pastrami breakfast sandwich. It took a while to get my drink and food which was expected and I appreciate the employees checking in with me. I ended up getting my drink and I thought it was pretty good. I expected to see purple in my cup like the picture but no, that didn't happen. Now that pastrami breakfast sandwich was the most lackluster thing I have ever had. It literally tasted like nothing, which is strange because it comes with cheddar cheese, kale, everything bagel, pastrami, and I got egg whites. With all of that I would not have known I was eating if I wasn't chewing and looking at it. The pastrami had like a hard pull to it. I can say it was not money well spent. Now I will say it's a very petite place on the inside or maybe it felt that way because it had so many body's in it. I loved the wall decor. I came, I saw and now I know.

Mitch's Downtown @mitchsdowntown Coral Springs, FL Had to swing by the new location. Clean store with excellent service. The Iced Lavender Matcha is my fave. I had some yummy chocolate croissants while I waited for my order and they were definitely a great treat. I got an Egg&Cheese on an Asiago Bagel with red pepper aioli. So delicious. Everything was satisfying. Have you been to Mitch's yet? #MitchsDowntown #NewLocation #EggAndCheese LetsDrinkz #EatzWithSweetz #LetsEatz

I've always loved Mitch's Westside Bagels and used to work in offices within walking distance, so I was really excited when they brought it back as Mitch's Downtown Bagel--and it did not disappoint. The place has a great New York-style vibe, and the staff was incredibly warm and friendly. The owner even came by to introduce himself, which was a really nice touch. It's a bit pricier than some other spots, but you truly get what you pay for. My dad and I both ordered omelets, and they were perfectly cooked with all the fixings. My bacon and cheese were evenly distributed, which I really appreciated. And the bagels? Fresh, soft, and never dense--exactly how they should be. I'll definitely be back!

Some places open their doors and hope to fit into the neighborhood. Others walk in like they've already got a reserved seat at the table. Mitch's Downtown is the second one. Yes, this location is new. But Mitch's as a name? That's Coral Springs history. A staple. A tradition. The kind of place people grew up with, moved away from, and then quietly hoped would still be there when they came back. So when this new downtown spot opened as part of the city's glow-up, it didn't feel like a newcomer. It felt like a homecoming with better lighting. Step inside and you get hit with that mid-century modern look. Clean, warm, just enough retro to make you feel cool without trying too hard. It's comfortable in a way that makes you want to sit a little longer than you planned. Order at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring the food to you. Easy. The staff is friendly, dialed in, and genuinely helpful. Good energy all around. Now let's talk food... because this is where things take a turn, then another turn, and maybe a slight detour through a cheese-filled dream. I went with the breakfast burrito and fries. When it came out, it was hot, loaded, and ready for business. First bite and that cheddar started stretching like it was training for the Olympics. Melted, gooey, borderline dramatic. "Cheese should never whisper... it should make an entrance." This one kicked the door open. Full of flavor, satisfying, the kind of meal that makes you pause mid-bite just to acknowledge what's happening. My wife ordered the pastrami, egg, kale, and cheese on a bagel. And here's where the record scratches a bit. It looked the part, but the flavor didn't show up. Heavy on kale, light on seasoning. One of those sandwiches that feels like it forgot its lines halfway through the performance. And then... the plot twist nobody asked for. The plate. I don't know who approved these plates, but they are aggressively small. Not "cute brunch spot" small. I'm talking "this sandwich is actively trying to escape" small. Every bite turns into a balancing act. You're not just eating, you're managing risk. One wrong move and your breakfast is making a break for the table. It's like they said, "Let's serve a full sandwich... on a coaster." So yeah, there are some growing pains here. The flavors on certain items need to be dialed in. And the plate situation needs a serious intervention. But zoom out for a second. The space works. The staff works. The burrito absolutely works. And the Mitch's name already belongs here, which counts for something. If I'm grading off my wife's sandwich alone, we're at three stars. If I'm grading off my burrito, I'm trying to hand out awards. Taking it all together, Mitch's Downtown lands at a solid four stars for me right now... with room to tighten things up and level up. And I'll be back. Hopefully with a bigger plate... and maybe a seatbelt for my sandwich.

Finally Coral Springs is starting to come alive and get some good establishments. I was very excited to see this place opening right by my house. I knew they had other locations more south, but never had the chance to try it out, so when I saw it opening in coral springs I had to try it. I initially tried to come check this place out the first weekend it was officially open to the public, but had to leave as there were no tables available and people were basically fighting over them and my friends and I didn't want to deal with that. Obviously they were very busy due to it being the first weekend and it was prime time around 10am. One of the owners was walking around and chatting with all the tables and helping out where it was needed which was nice. The place is very cute and clean, just a little tight table wise. They do have both indoor and outdoor seating which is nice. You basically wait in line and order your stuff at the counter and then go sit down and they bring it to you. They have both high tops and lower tables as well as high chairs for babies. We had a stroller and a baby so it was also difficult to find seating inside with the stroller as like I mentioned previously space is sort of limited. I was disappointed we couldn't try it that day as I was really looking forward to it so I ordered it for delivery the following weekend. Even though it was delivery, my food was nice and hot when it arrived. I ordered the hangover sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese and a hash brown on a toasted Asiago bagel and added cream cheese for $1.50 extra. The sandwich came out to like $16/$17 which is a little on the pricier side, but it's a giant portion so I feel it was worth it. The sandwich was absolutely delicious, with a large amount of egg. There was no skimping on the ingredients, besides the cream cheese. They only put cream cheese on one side of the bagel, and it was the thinnest smear I've ever seen lol. Would have liked a bit more but it still tasted amazing. There's so many good things on the menu I will definitely be back to try more of it, but might wait for them to slow down a little more so I have a better chance at getting a table without fighting someone haha. Might be a good idea to give people numbers and give out the tables in order so people don't stand over people while they're finishing and cut people in line who were there waiting for a table first. All in all, great location and great food.

I absolutely love the interior of this place. As someone who grew up in Coral Springs, it is so cool having a place here local with some downtown feel. We went quickly after they opened and I am really impressed. The staff were so friendly, the service was great. I could see us coming here every so often as we make our way to Coral Springs to go grocery shopping. I ordered the hangover and a matcha with lavender. While we waited as a quick treat they dropped off a cinnamon raisin treat which was delicious. The hangover was amazing, a bacon, egg and cheese with a hash brown?? Sign me up. Hubs got the 2-2-2 which he was super happy with as well. I'm overall, I would say this place is a new favorite in town.

Egg Platter w/ Corned Beef Hash & Mr. Eats 305
Gian L.

We stopped by a togo order at the Fort Lauderdale location once, but a location opened up closer to home in Coral Springs. Dining in is a different experience and it is one to beat! Aside from the delicious food (my husband got the egg platter with corned beef hash and I got the Mr. Eats 305 nova open-faced sandwich... also got rainbow cake which were sooo good!), the ambiance and just the standard of hospitality and service they have is top-notch. We were served by Angel and she was not only sweet, but her customer service was on point! Thanks for a great experience, Mitch!

Caramel iced latte

I've now come three times to try different items and Mitch's doesn't disappoint. From the food to the service to the take out, it's a gem of Coral Springs. It's a little pricey if you're looking for a cheap breakfast, but let me tell you it's worth it. You get a lot of food for the price. The sandwiches are huge, the omelets are cooked to perfection and the pancakes are the size of my head. Come and enjoy a cup of coffee with a sweet treat and enjoy the ambiance of a great community spot. Also download the app if you can because it will make your take out experience so much easier.

Hangover pt 2 and french toast bites. Very good

This latte was one of the best I've had out and about. It comes unsweetened, and before I mixed the cold foam in, I was able to just taste the matcha with the almond milk. It actually tasted like matcha, unlike most places. The cold foam was delicious and lightly sweetened just like I asked for. My husband loved his vanilla latte and the foam art on it was beautiful. It was a bit over $50 for the two of us with a tip, but for me I'd rather pay that and actually get food and drinks I ENJOY, instead of the mediocre at best stuff a lot of places serve up. Then came the empanadas. And this is where things took a turn. I tried both the beef empanada and the spinach and cheese empanada, and neither really landed. They were not bad, just forgettable. Which is disappointing, because this is a bakery, and empanadas feel like they should be part of the hall-of-fame lineup. These felt more like bench players getting some minutes. This Tacocraft restaurant is located on the corner of the first floor of the mixed use Village Square Complex on University Dr. in Coral Springs. They also have locations in downtown Fort Lauderdale, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, and at the Plantation Walk. I stopped by after attending the nearby Blarney Bash for a late snack and cocktail. They have a beautifully decorated dining room with a tree and basket lights but my friend was cold and wanted to stay outside. Their sidewalk dining wraps around two sides of the building and we were seated on the University Dr side. At first it seemed fine but after a few minute of watching the cars speed by including police and ambulances we started to rethink the safety. It seemed entirely possible that someone could lose control of their car and plow into the sidewalk. The Tacocraft menu is divided into snacks, ensaladas, entrees and bowls, fajitas, and tacos. The flavor packed tacos including chicken Al Pastor, Carne Asada, Korean Short Rib, and Chorizo & Egg tacos are stand outs. They also serve cocktails, wine, beer, soft drinks, sides, and desserts. They are especially known for their ultimate nachos. After studying the menu I chose the $15 coconut margarita made with casamingos blanco, cream of coconut, fresh lime, and coconut flakes. It was both strong and delicious. It really hit the spot. I paired my margarita with a crispy shrimp taco, tempura fried shrimp, mango salsa, and spicy mayo. It was $7.50 for the one taco so definitely on the expensive side but it really delivered on the crunch and the taste. This was my first time trying Tacocraft so I was dipping my toe in to check them out. This restaurant is for people who don't mind paying more for a beautiful place to hang out and creativity in the menu.
