Hot Carnegie Deli Pastrami w/Swiss on Rye.

I have been getting bagels and whitefish here for a while now. They now have Carnegie Pastrami, so I had to try it. It didn't disappoint, delicious! Come in and get it, hard to find in South Florida.

Went to Schmear on a recommendation of a friend, but really, I feel like it isn't better than the chain restaurant, Einstein Bagels. Einstein has more choices of the types of bagels & flavors of schmear, plus a variety of beverages to choose from. Schmear Bagel does seem to make their schmear fresh/homemade, so that's a plus. but I didn't find the vegetable schmear flavorful at all. Service was pleasant though! No need for me to go back because I work next door to Goldberg's Deli & Bagels, which is also excellent!

Came here late on a Saturday morning and most of the bagels were gone but the plain and sesame bagels we got were fantastic. Glad to find a good bagel establishment in Coral Spring. The line was short and they got me three bagels immediately has they had just completed making a fresh batch. Really like the New York themed interior design as a nice added touch. Will definitely return and recommend.

Went in to just grab a few bagels in a bag today. Got them home and you can taste the love in them. The folks at the front are nice and it's a pleasant experience every time I go in.

Loved my little breakfast here! The owner is right there at the register working with the team, it gives a very family friendly vibe. Plus the bagels are delicious and the prices are so cheap. I pointed out to the owner that his yelp page was unclaimed (if you're reading this please don't raise those prices too much haha!) I had a "flagel" - a flat bagel with half the calories but all the flavor and yumminess. Did this with ham egg and cheese and i think i paid less than $8. My mom had the mini bagel with a schmear since she wasn't too hungry and it was also delicious. Unfortunately i don't live nearby or id come here every week. Thank you!!

Not my favorite breakfast spot based on what I expected out of a breakfast burrito. There is so much egg in the wrap and just pieces of meat instead of a whole patty, the hash brown was also really thin and soggy. The bagel sandwich wasn't too bad, but for the price we paid it could've been bigger. Overall, not the worst breakfast spot, but it wasn't my favorite. The service was still nice and fast

We came here for breakfast this morning and it was delish!!! We got an omelet with bacon, onion, and mozzarella cheese. It was huge and cooked perfectly. The home fries were well seasoned and extra crispy like we asked for. The everything bagel was hot out of the oven, and nice and chewy. We will be back for sure!!

Have been twice so far: for breakfast, then for lunch. This is the store which used to house a restaurant called D' Apple cafe/diner. In the am the queue, while long, moves quickly and can view bagels in the case on the right going in while in line, as I recall. The ordering is quick and the bagels are prepared how you want, toasted or not toasted. I am a Big Fan of fresh, toasted bagels. That's just me. I think it is the correct way to enjoy this breakfast delicacy. Cups are handed out at the Cashier/ order taker then one goes to the beverage bar to fill up while waiting for bagel or other breakfast orders to be prepared. Very recently an "Egg Surcharge" of .50 cents has been imposed here. I think it is .50 cents per Egg. Be aware! The decor is a New York baseball theme which, of course, is the New York Yankees. At lunchtime the sub menu even boasts a sub named for baseball player Derek Jeter, among other baseball stars. Menu is clever and fun. If you are two persons some small tables are setup outside on the sidewalk for Al fresco dining while at Schmear Bagel. The Egg surcharge did not dissuade me at recent Saturday lunch. I enjoy lunching or breakfasting here- so far- because I feel good about buying Local. This is a Locally Owned business by a Local businesswoman. At lunch I had their matzo ball soup which did NOT come w/ crackers. I suppose you could request them. As it turns out I don't care for crackers w/ my matzo ball soup so this turned out great for me. My Egg dish previously alluded to at lunch was an Egg Salad Wrap which will set you back over $11. Mine was on the Spinach Wrap and the order taker asks whether you want the wrap with lettuce, tomato, onions. I opted for all three (3) in my Egg Salad wrap and was assured the Egg Salad and everything else here is homemade. Homemade goodness. A good soft drink I enjoy here is canned Dr. Brown's sodas ... just like in New York. Just take your canned soda from the refrigerated case after ordering. Try this new bagel shop.

Half of the bagel with Nova schmear.

First time visit, we had breakfast. You order at the counter from an overhead menu. Food is brought to your table. Drinks are self serve. The restaurant is clean. Husband enjoyed his bagel with a nova schmear , although somewhat lacking in Nova. I had the flagel with a schmear and turkey bacon . The flagel was a little chewy and the thin pieces of turkey bacon were just ok. All in all, worth a second look.

Asiago Bagel, toasted with Veg cream cheese and bacon. Just perfect.

The small deli/restaurant is mainly for take out, but they do have a couple tables inside. We chose to order here and eat at one of the tables. We got a chance to chat with the owner. We got a friendly welcome. She was quite sweet. When we asked, she told us that Goldy was her sister who had passed away. The restaurant was named after her. In addition to the menu on the counter, they have a blackboard with various featured items -- including soups of the day -- and specials. They use Board Head meats which you can see in the case. We both ordered their Italian sub, but I made a few changes to mine leaving out the ham and the capicola. The bread was soft and went well with all the meats, cheeses, and veggies. It was an excellent sandwich. We each ate half (the sandwich was stuffed with stuff) and took half home. We were talking about other options that they have when the owner mentioned various desserts -- including banana pudding. She mentioned that it's quite popular and sells out often, but she just happened to have some ready. This is my husband's favorite dessert. He couldn't resist getting a container of it. He took a few tastes there and devoured the rest at home. This place is definitely worth a return visit. And if you're looking for a good sub/hero/sandwich, etc. it makes a perfect lunch stop -- to eat in or to go. I'm so glad we tried them.

And right out of the gate, I'll say this place is very kid friendly. Because about ten minutes in, the boys began conducting what can only be described as a gravity experiment with anything within arm's reach. Our waitress handled it like a seasoned professional. Calm, patient, helpful, and completely unfazed as items occasionally achieved flight status. Her attitude alone set the tone for a really pleasant experience. Now the plot twist. The service was excellent. The food was... a little more complicated. My son and I started with the matzoh ball soup. It was good, but not quite in the same league as my wife's homemade version. The matzoh ball itself was dense, which I actually like. The broth, though, could have used a little more salt. Still good. Just not legendary. Meanwhile the boys were devouring pancakes with the focus of two tiny professional athletes. I didn't get a bite, but judging by the speed at which those pancakes disappeared, I'm comfortable saying they must have been very good. Then came my plate. Scrambled eggs with French fries and a bagel. Another small twist. The bagel was very good. The fries were cooked to absolute perfection. Crispy outside, fluffy inside. Exactly what you want. The eggs though? They told a different story. A basic breakfast staple that looked like they hit the pan at a little too much heat. Still edible, just not the soft scramble you hope for. My wife ordered the cheese blintzes and reported they were very good. My mom enjoyed her eggs as well, which added another small twist to the table conversation. Sometimes the food is the headliner. Sometimes the experience is. Today the grandsons and the waitress stole the show. Between the kid friendly atmosphere, the fantastic service, and some solid menu items, this visit lands at four stars. If three and a half stars existed, that might be the precise score for the food alone. But our waitress lifted the whole experience. And when you're dining with toddlers conducting airborne physics experiments, that kind of service deserves some extra credit.

The place is gorgeous -- like, "I suddenly care about the proper marbling of a ribeye" gorgeous. You walk in and instantly feel fancier, even if you showed up in gym shorts. Everything here screams quality. The produce looks like it just finished a spa retreat. The deli and meat counters? Absolute showstoppers. The bakery? Let's just say if carbs are a sin, I'm ready for eternal damnation. They bake everything in-house, and you can taste the pride (and probably a little buttered joy) in every bite. I came in hunting for a very specific treasure: Vidalia Onion Salad Dressing. I'd bought it here before, and it ruined me for all others. It's got this onion flavor that doesn't overpower -- it just whispers sweet nothings to your taste buds. Publix versions tried to compete, but they're like off-brand perfume: close, but not quite date-night material. Was it $7 a bottle? Yes. Did I still buy two? Also yes. Because once you've had this dressing, you start thinking $7 is a small price to pay for happiness in liquid form. Now, let's talk prices overall. Doris isn't cheap. If you tried to do all your grocery shopping here, your checking account might file for bankruptcy protection. But you get what you pay for -- and in this case, you're paying for quality, presentation, and a faint whiff of "old-world Italian pride." Five stars for the food and quality, four overall because you won't find every everyday item you need... but for meats, fish, deli, and bakery? Doris is absolutely worth it.

Some restaurants feed you. Others save you…read more Dyan's Country Kitchen is the place that quite literally welcomed me to Coral Springs after a brutal move out of North Miami--a move that turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. And somehow, like a perfectly timed cup of coffee, this place showed up right when I needed it. This isn't a restaurant. It's a community checkpoint. A living room with a griddle. A place where the food hits, the service actually looks you in the eye, and you feel--immediately--that you belong here. The vibe? Come for the food. Stay for the show. Servers calling orders like seasoned pros. Regulars holding court. Plates flying out like controlled chaos. It's loud in the right way. Alive in the right way. The kind of place where you don't need background music because the room already has a pulse. Now let's talk about the holy scripture. The eggs Benedict with salmon is not just good--it's sacred. Perfectly poached eggs, rich hollandaise, salmon that knows exactly why it's there. This is breakfast as theology. If you've had a bad week, this fixes things. Today I went lighter--chicken salad sandwich, split with my fiancée--and it was dialed in. Balanced, comforting, zero nonsense. And the fries? Absolute heaven. Crisp, golden, seasoned by people who understand that fries are not a side--they're a responsibility. But then... I made the mistake of looking over. There it was. The club sandwich. Stacked so high it looked like it could feed four people and still have leftovers for regret. I don't know who ordered it, but I respect them deeply. That sandwich was a flex. What really seals it though--reasonable prices. In 2026, that's practically revolutionary. Great food, generous portions, stellar service, and prices that don't make you feel like you need a second job. That's rare. That's gold. I'm genuinely grateful places like Dyan's still exist. Grateful that they welcomed me and my fiancée into this city without knowing it--just by doing what they do best, every single day.

I ordered coffee, water and two eggs, bacon, hash browns and wheat toast. Service was swift. The breakfast was OK. Bacon was warm and not fresh. Toast was not fresh either. I was seating at the counter, watching David the man that prepares the sandwiches to go. David is very talkative, but looked like he knew what he was doing preparing those sandwiches. I observed the young girl at the register, in what I would consider in a disrespectful manner, tell David to hurry up with the orders. Not appropriate in front of customers. The new owner, was walking around the counter area, very stoic, not greeting anyone. How did I know that was the new owner. I asked. I won't be back at Dyan's. Walking into LaSpada's Original Hoagies isn't just ordering lunch, it's stepping into a deli version of a live sporting event. There's energy, there's precision, and yes, there's the legendary "airmail" toss of freshly sliced meat flying down the line like it's got somewhere important to be. Blink and you miss it. Smile and you're part of it. I went with my go-to: the Italian. And not just any Italian... this thing shows up dressed to impress. We're talking Boar's Head ham, cappy, pastrami, and provolone, sliced fresh right in front of you, then launched with deli theatrics onto perfectly waiting Italian bread. From there, it gets piled high with crisp veggies and those Italian peppers that quietly steal the show. Every bite hits like it's been rehearsing for years. Somewhere around bite three, I had a moment of clarity: "This isn't a sandwich... it's a commitment." Plot twist... you think you're just grabbing lunch. You're not. You're entering into a multi-meal agreement. A large sub here doesn't just feed you, it sticks with you. Lunch today, lunch tomorrow, maybe a late-night "just one more bite" situation. It's generous in a way that feels personal. My wife ordered the roast beef, and wow. Perfectly rare, ridiculously tender, sliced fresh and yes, sent flying down the line like it had a boarding pass. It was the kind of sandwich that makes you reconsider your own order mid-bite. Quick detour, because it deserves it... the homemade macaroni salad. I don't throw this around lightly, but I'd put it up against anyone's for best in class. Creamy, balanced, and somehow disappears faster than you expect. That's not an accident. And then you remember... this place took home "Best Sub in South Florida" from the Sun-Sentinel in 2025. Not surprising. Honestly, it feels overdue. Micro twist: you walk in thinking you'll try something new next time. You won't. You'll be back for the same order, and you'll be happy about it. After 25+ years in Coral Springs, they're not just consistent, they're automatic. The kind of place where you don't wonder if it'll be good... you just decide how hungry you are. I've driven past it thousands of times on Wiles Road without noticing it sitting there quietly between auto repair shops across from Costco like some kind of breakfast speakeasy. Meanwhile, these people have apparently been serving legit breakfast this entire time. The second we walked in, we got greeted like cousins who finally came home from war. Friendly, warm, joking around, genuinely happy we were there. You know how some breakfast spots make you feel like you personally ruined their morning by ordering eggs? Not here. My wife ordered the veggie omelette with home fries and a toasted bagel. Everything tasted fresh. Actual fresh vegetables. Not the sad, wet diner veggies that look emotionally exhausted before they hit the grill. I went with scrambled eggs, french fries, and a bagel because apparently my inner 8-year-old was making decisions today. Then came "the sauce." Sweet mercy. They recommended their secret sauce and suddenly breakfast turned into an event. The spicy version isn't really spicy unless ranch dressing intimidates you, but it has this smoky pepper flavor that somehow made EVERYTHING better. Eggs? Fantastic. Fries? Unreal. I would've dipped my car keys in it if nobody was watching. At one point my wife, who normally avoids spicy food like it owes her money, kept stealing fries off my plate just to use my sauce before finally admitting she needed her own serving. That sauce could solve arguments. Now for the only small hiccup: the bagel itself didn't taste house made to me. Honestly tasted a little Costco-adjacent, which is hilarious considering Costco is literally across the street. But that's also on me because I didn't get it toasted. Rookie mistake. Toast your bagel, people. This is valuable community information. And honestly, it takes a LOT for me to hand out five stars. I grade restaurants like Simon Cowell judging karaoke night. But the service alone almost got them there by itself. Add the fresh breakfast, hidden gem atmosphere, and that ridiculous sauce, and yeah... I'll absolutely be back.
