We came for lunch. It was a cool for Florida day and I was in the mood for soup. The restaurant is not large. It wasn't very busy while we were there. I think there were more folks doing takeout than dining in. We asked -- as it wasn't on the menu -- but they do offer a half sandwich and soup option. Your choices of soup are noodle, or matzah ball, or soup of the day. And you can choose any of the deli meat sandwiches. I had their matzah ball soup with a half pastrami sandwich. He had the chicken noodle with a half corned beef. The sandwiches come with a pickle slice and coleslaw. The matzah ball was light and fluffy. The soup base was flavorful. The pastrami was a bit fatty and grisly so I had to deconstruct it. The rye was soft in the center and got a tad soggy from the meat, but had a nice outer edge crust. I think I'd get the corned beef instead in the future. I gave my well marinated pickle to my husband -- I'm a half sour gal myself. But I liked the slightly sweet coleslaw. I was intrigued to try out Zinger's for the first time after several postings from Let's Eat, South Florida on Facebook. People are driving a good distance to visit here. They have a rightful cult-following! I live 5 minutes away... I ordered for pickup to celebrate after leaving my dental appointment. I went with their cup of Matzo Ball soup and the iconic Pastrami sandwich on rye bread with Russian dressing, a side of Cole slaw, and a juicy dill pickle. This was all pure comfort food! ...from the seasoned matzo ball soup mixed together in a clear broth alongside selected vegetables... This brings back treasured flashbacks of grandma's cooking! The Pastrami sandwich on rye is juicy, tender, and flavorful with the Russian dressing and the side of cole slaw. This truly is a symphony of delicious flavors that bring me back to the delis in Philadelphia and New York City. The dill pickle brings cherished memories of Rascal House. I can't think of any other deli down in SoFlo that comes close! I've sampled many and there's no comparison. I'm going to be a new regular that's breaking away from my familiar spot. I thought it was appropriate to acknowledge how disappointing & unprofessional our experience was at Zingers Deli today. It is sad because when the original owners opened Zingers, it was wonderful. Their food was excellent, the staff were accommodating, and they did not have false advertisements. On the Zinger's website, it states that members get FREE DELIVERY with $25+ order. It also offers a free cup of soup with any...(but does not subtract the $5.99 from the total when checking out). The prices on the website are different than in the take out menu in the restaurant. I also received an email (as a member) for $7 off a $30 order. NONE OF THESE OFFERS WERE AVAILABLE FOR THIS ORDER OF $46.38. Now, that is what I call fraudulent advertising. So sad. After visiting gramps; my Mom and I were famished. Craving something not too heavy and knishes; we went to pay Zinger's Deli a visit. Going inside, we were seated inside rather quickly. For lunch, we ordered 1x potato knish, 1 cup of matzo ball soup, 1x side order of pickles, and 1x side of coleslaw. Moving on with my review, Zingers used to be "the" establishment for quality deli (in my humble opinion), but the food today was just on the surface of fair. The potato knish exterior didn't feel very fresh/flakey and the potato stuffing was completely bland. The matzo ball soup broth had no flavor whatsoever too; Progresso or lipton would've been far better. The pickles were balanced well, but the new coleslaw is dry in comparison to the thick cabbage strands and dressing back in the day. Maybe I'm being a bit too critical, but for $22 and only a few items, we were let down with our experience today at Zingers. My final rating unfortunately for now is a 2/5. read more

Stopped in to Zinger's for an old fashioned, overstuffed deli sandwich after not eating there in a very long time and feeling super hungry. The place was empty and stayed empty throughout our entire meal. Hmmm...we wondered! We remembered when we used to stand out in the parking lot waiting an hour for a table! The posted sign said we could seat ourselves and we did. Our waitress was attentive and came over to our table immediately. We placed our two sandwich orders and my husband asked her if we could get a bowl of coleslaw for the two of us while we waited for our sandwiches. She told him we could not and that cole slaw comes WITH the sandwich. His sandwich didn't come with any, however! My sweet potato fries arrived late... We only ordered 2 items each, plus drinks. When I asked where my order of fries was, I was told that they can only make one order of fries at a time. I guess my husband's fries were 1st in line at the deep fryer.., I don't know. I am not a complainer. I waited and then my fries arrived. The meats on my sandwiches, both the corned beef and the pastrami were a bit too fatty for my taste. That for me is a definite turn off!! I had heard about some issues at this location possibly from previous management. I went in with two friends and we all walked out rather content. Nice iced tea. The egg salad sandwich and was spot on. They have a nice selection of sandwiches and breakfast treats. It's a nice Jewish deli type restaurant with ample seating. Limited outside seating. Prices range from average to a touch pricey. Service was above average. Food came out fast and there was absolutely no problem from ordering to checkout. They do offer frozen soups if you want to buy them for later. read more

Since Gary Zinger, former owner, sold this deli, it has less quality food and consistantly less customer services. Prices are higher for less! There are other delis (Jewish NY style) with better service quality food and prices that are more consistant with their overall quality and less pricy! read more

I was for a very long time a fan and customer of Zingers Deli in Boca Raton. Unfortunately this restaurant, it's food and the cleanliness has gone way down. If you look at the ceiling it is covered in rust and dark spots. I ordered DERMA with extra sauce, what I got was a sliver and I mean a sliver of 3 pieces that didn't even add up to a regular piece, as well as I never got my extra sauce. I also ordered a CONEY ISLAND SQUARE POTATO KNISH, I was told that they don't carry them anymore.....are you kidding me. I also asked for SOUR PICKLES and was told they don't have them....again are you kidding me that a jewish deli doesn't carry SOUR PICKLES. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED AND DISGUSTED!!!! Went on a Saturday night. It was empty. Should have been our first clue. Asked for pickles. Was told my sandwich came with one. One pickle, in a Jewish deli, strike one. My husband's "turkey" dinner for 26.00 was turkey cold cuts sliced. And none of their "homemade" cranberry sauce was anywhere to be seen. I just had a roast beef sandwich. In the regular place I go, I eat my roast beef for 3 days either all the meat in the sandwich. There was not much left over at all. I almost died when I looked at the bill. Before tip 65.00. My daughter lives the matzo ball soup here , so I went in to get some for her as being under the weather waited in the car. I thought it would be pretty quick. Even though there was only one other person there it was not quick at all.. one person working, who didn't seem too sure of himself.. I was mind baffled at the prices in the menu.. a chicken wrap $25, egg salad sand $19? I think a qt of soup , a sandwich and a smalll cookie was close to $50.. baaahhhaa . Well it isn't that I can't afford it but it does inspire me to cook more at home. The portions on sandwich were solid but neither sandwich nor soup blew me away .. the service very average at best. This is a hidden gem! They make absolutely killer corn beef and pastrami on premises! The matzo ball chicken soup is categorically the best in the area! Ok I will pull out my Brock Yates riff for the billionth time. If the hand of the almighty were to smite all lesser chicken soups Zingers would be the only one left. The fries were crispy and did not wreak of I have been previously frozen. They can actually make coleslaw. The service is friendly and accommodating. I decided to return today hoping the new owner improved my lunch experience. The new owner is very friendly unlike the previous owner who was always arrogant with an attitude. I ordered the same exact food. A cup of split pea soup and half of a pastrami sandwich. The split pea soup was almost the same as last time it was very good. However...I'm happy to say that the pastrami sandwich is now very delicious it was juicy...it was obviously freshly made and one of the best I've had in a long time. We got food from Uber eats. Really enjoyed everything we got but as a delivery service some items are just missing. Examples they put Russian dressing on the sandwich, but there is no way to get extra Russian dressing. We ordered a knish but there was no way to get mustard with it. Recently stumbled upon this "Kosher Style" spot and was pleasantly knocked out of my socks. It is not wonder why "Corned Beef Dressed" sandwich was so excellent - after I learned about the "Famous Owner" - Former Owner/Creator of "The Pastrami Queen" - Lexington Avenue in Manhattan. Surprised to see all the "Boca Kvetchers" and their negative comments. That is too bad! Wondering if they would considering making this location "Kosher" - But, not Glatt Kosher. Stopped complaining about your Tuna Sandwich and Try the Corned Beef or Pastrami - It was delicious! Paired well with Doctor Brown's Ginger Ale. Will definitely be back! I'm not from the area, and I was searching for the best pastrami in Boca. Zingers came up as a suggestion, so I decided to give it a try. First thing I asked was how the pastrami was made. The Very polite waitress told me that it was made in house, and kept in a steamer, which is the way it should be. I ordered my pastrami on rye, and matzoh ball soup. The soup was mediocre. When the sandwich arrived, it was slightly smaller than I had expected based on the pictures, but the most disappointing thing was that it was not hot. The pastrami itself was delicious though. The bread was fresh, and the potato salad was excellent. I finished off the meal with their homemade rainbow cookies, which were the best I've ever had. Overall, I would rate this deli, a four out of five, and it would be very easy to bump it up to a five if the advertised 'hot' pastrami sandwich, was actually hot. read more

Food is delicious, service leaves something to desired. My husband used to work in food service so we always make a point to not use an online ordering system since we know the restaurant will be charged. We call to order and they stated they're not taking verbal orders unless you're there in person. Due to Covid, we weren't interested in spending more time at the restaurant so we used their online system. For my Rachel sandwich, we selected the option that said "extra gravy/sauce" to get more Russian dressing since that's the sauce that comes with the sandwich. We were charged $0.99 and received actual gravy. Kind of odd. When my husband picked up the order, the person who rang him up, who we assume was the manager, stated "you didn't want to tip, right?" That kind of tells you what management thinks of their employees. Doesn't bother to ask for tips so she wouldn't have to move the iPad over the plexiglass. He told her to click back and give a tip. Ordered 1/2 sandwich and kreplock soup. blond European lady with a bad attitude served the kreplock soup first, it was matzah with a teaspoon of hamburger inside it and was not a dumpling it was motzah. I asked the lady what it was and she said, matzah that that's the way they make their kreplock (kreplock spelling might be wrong I'm not Jewish but love deli food) I asked to take the soup back tasted more like water no flavor at all. I also ordered a Dr. Browns Cream. waitress said she would take the 6.99 off for the soup. I paid 23.00 for a half of cold corned beef, I old pickle and a Dr. browns soda. Asked why and they said.
