5 dollar Saturday Burger special -- in house only. The staff was perfect and attentive thru out the visit. Food was good and appeared fresh. Burger was cooked to order and had tomato and onion. For extra buck they add cheese. Comes with a couple fries which could have been cooked longer, but appeared fresh cut ?? Burger may not win awards as best ever, and not Wagu Japanese meat but this overshadows any fast food burger available at lower cost. It may even best some of those chain burgers. Their unique sauce is good and can only ask for more. Bun was brioche. Son was so enamored with menu and Po Boy' offering he grabbed one and ate 1/2 burger and 1/2 the shrimp Po Boy taking rest home. Fish Joint! I was disappointed with my takeout! I was given food that must have been sitting out for a while and refried or something. I ordered the fish and chips, shrimp tacos, coleslaw and hush puppies. The fish was not good. because it was firm and rubbery like it was dipped back in some old cooking grease to be reheated or reheated in the microwave. The chips (thinly sliced potatoes that look like chips) that came along with the fish, they were soggy. The shrimp tacos were okay, but the taco shell itself was a little stale and crispy like it has been sitting under a light heating lamp for a while. The coleslaw was good. The best thing was the hush puppies, they were good. I was so disappointed that I threw my entire meal of fish and chips in the garbage because it was not good at all. I'm sorry fish joint, but I have to be honest about the review. Maybe if I dine in, the experience would be better. I know you all must have good food because of your high reviews. I'm going to give you all another try. This review is a review of my takeout. The customer service was good, no complaints, thank you. the visit was a pleasant suprise. Number one ,I live very close and have never been and two the food and the service was very impressive. We both had the fish and chips special . The serving size was large with crispy white fish and fresh fries cut from real potatoes. It sure how they've done it but they've gotten even better. I highly recommend the New England Clam Chowder. They don't skimp on the clam and it's just delicious. We ordered delivery tonight and everything was delicious and crispy. This place does seafood right and doesn't skimp on the fish. I had lunch there with my family today. The staff were really nice. You order at the register and they give you a number to bring the food for your table. The restaurant was really clean, they immediately clean the tables after customers leave. I ate the grouper sandwich, had my fish blackened and switched the tartar sauce for their special joint sauce instead. I loved it. The joint sauce is a spicy Mayo and it was really good on the sandwich. I was pleased with the size of the grouper filet. It comes with a choice of side and two hush puppies. Service was very quick for pick up. It seemed pretty busy on a Saturday. Didn't have much interaction with the staff but they greeted me and were friendly. I got the shrimp seafood boil with corn, sausage, potatoes and clams. The actual food tasted fresh but lacked a bit of seasoning. Just tasted oily with butter. Garlic didn't even seem there. It overall still was pleasurable and for the amount I paid the portions were awesome. However I do need to see if they can add some more seasoning to it. Delicious fresh food with friendly staff and a clean restaurant. The Fish Joint is located in a nice homey plaza. The menu has lots of options for everyone - hot and cold appetizers, soups and salads, sandwiches and burgers. The food comes out quickly and piping hot. I started with a bowl of clam chowder which was tasty but on the salty side. I was definitely paying the price with the water retention the next day. Portion size was good. The fried cod fish sandwich was huge and very good the fish was airy and flaky. The buns were fluffy and semi sweet. The coleslaw was light and not strongly seasoned. The burger was cooked medium and had a nice thick meat patty. Loaded with fresh toppings. The fries were hand cut potato slices and delicious. The hush puppies were a little dry but still good. Delicious. We came because of the reviews. Door was yummy. Service quick. Clean and plenty of parking. I am sorry I didn't tip. I was not expecting for you to bring me the food and bus our tables. I was craving a seafood boil for my birthday and decided to give "The Fish Joint" a try. The restaurant service set up is, you order at the register and your food is delivered to your table. I had no idea when I made the decision to go there. Not the best birthday celebration location however the food was very good. There is indoor bench style seating and a few tables outaide. We ordered the Steamers as an appetizer. They were cooked perfectly and delicious! The serving was plentiful and the broth was perfect. For my main, I had the half Crab Boil. It was also plentiful and fantastic. My fiancé had the Blackened Mahi Mahi with the Cajun Rice and Corn on the Cob. The Mahi Mahi and the rice were good but the corn and the serving size weren't so great. Another thing that wasn't so great was that a server never returned to our table to take away dishes that were finished, leaving a messy experience with a huge bowl of clams and a crab boil. I'll be back but not to celebrate anything. Might be better to get takeout at this restaurant. read more

Fresh, well seasoned, grilled shrimp atop high quality greens. So delicious I didn't need the in house hot sauce. My only complaints were the super sweet "vinaigrette" - the only alternative offered was Caesar dressing, so I settled for a generous serving of fresh lemons and because of the uncomfortably cold A/C inside, we sat outside. So I order from this location a lot and the orders are for several people and we order the same things every time but today I was told if I wanted to make noted I needed to call. So first off why have it on your website if I don't want tomato or onions I should be able to say that. I also asked for the tails off my shrimp but didn't get that. I didn't get dressing for my $26 salad and was told that they honored my request today but won't do it again. Sad to have been told all that when I am just trying to have the salad I want for lunch. On another note my coworker keeps ordering the blackened mahi tacos and they are so wet you cannot pick up the taco and the fish has been sticking to the top of the box. I stopped by here earlier today with my wife and twins for lunch. We were in coconut creek when my wife fired up Yelp and found the fish joint. Since she loves seafood, we decided to head on over. This restaurant is located in a strip mall and is somewhat on the smaller side. It's the type of place where you walk up to the counter and place your order and are given a number. Then whenever your food is ready, they bring it out to you. They had both outdoor ( 4 - 2 tops) and indoor (3 booths and 4 - 2 tops and 2 - 4 tops) seating and then the decor consisted of some surfboards as well as skateboards. For lunch on this day I ended up ordering the snapper platter and chose to have it grilled even though I really wanted it jerked. However a flight later that day made me choose the less spicy option. Then for my sides I chose French fries and grits. My wife ended up ordering the lobster bisque to start off with and then the ahi nachos. Last but certainly not least were my kids who split a butter noodles. My fish ended up being decent as it was moist and had a nice seasoning on it. It pulled up from the skin easily while staying together. Then the fries here were more like potatoes wedges but thinly sliced ones. That meant there was a lot of surface area for crispiness and not too much for the soft interior. Finally my grits were super smooth and creamy which was nice as they were easy to eat. My wife seemed to enjoy both her soup and nachos while my twins liked the butter noodles. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Our food was good and our family fit right in as it seemed like 75% of the groups coming in had at least 1 toddler with them. read more

I was greated by staff immediately after entering the establishment. I ordered the fish and chips and the portion was great. It came with 2 large cod, fries, hush puppies, and cole slaw. The food was fresh, and full of flavor. The resteraunt has some outside seating, which is where i ate. The staff was incredible. They frequently came by the table to check how things were. We have been trying to go to this spot forever now. Usually on a Sundays, but they are "gone fishing" on Sundays :) We finally got in on a Saturday, and it was quiet. The more we cut in, the more water came out. It should have been more crispy and blackened. It made us believe it was possibly frozen and didn't have time to defrost before frying up. It was a great piece of fish. However, it was swimming in juices/water, so it was not pleasant to eat. Fried Shrimp Po-boy - Fantsastic!!! Delicious flavors and perfectly made.
