I love love this place for delicious and fresh seafood. Anytime my sister visits this is one of our go to places . This is an order at the counter , then they bring the food to you type of place. I have had their mahi tacos, mahi sandwich,my nephew had their crab boil which seemed like a ton of food . They have corn , hush puppies , slaw and a few other sides . Service has always been great . Prices seem fair for the quality of food. They also offer daily specials . Definitely a place to check out if you enjoy seafood . read more

It sure how they've done it but they've gotten even better. I highly recommend the New England Clam Chowder. They don't skimp on the clam and it's just delicious. We ordered delivery tonight and everything was delicious and crispy. The fish and chips are definitely the way to go but we've tried quite a few things from this menu and haven't been disappointed once. I'd recommend this place over and over again. We had a nice dinner here, ordered inside and sat outside. My grilled shrimp platter was great and it came with 2 sides. Service was very quick for pick up. It seemed pretty busy on a Saturday. Didn't have much interaction with the staff but they greeted me and were friendly. I got the shrimp seafood boil with corn, sausage, potatoes and clams. The actual food tasted fresh but lacked a bit of seasoning. Just tasted oily with butter. Garlic didn't even seem there. It overall still was pleasurable and for the amount I paid the portions were awesome. However I do need to see if they can add some more seasoning to it. This place does seafood right and doesn't skimp on the fish. I had lunch there with my family today. The staff were really nice. You order at the register and they give you a number to bring the food for your table. The restaurant was really clean, they immediately clean the tables after customers leave. I ate the grouper sandwich, had my fish blackened and switched the tartar sauce for their special joint sauce instead. I loved it. The joint sauce is a spicy Mayo and it was really good on the sandwich. I was pleased with the size of the grouper filet. It comes with a choice of side and two hush puppies. I should have ordered more hush puppies, they were yum! I'm picky about Cole slaw and theirs was done right. read more

Delicious fresh food with friendly staff and a clean restaurant. The Fish Joint is located in a nice homey plaza. The menu has lots of options for everyone - hot and cold appetizers, soups and salads, sandwiches and burgers. The food comes out quickly and piping hot. I started with a bowl of clam chowder which was tasty but on the salty side. I was definitely paying the price with the water retention the next day. Portion size was good. The fried cod fish sandwich was huge and very good the fish was airy and flaky. The buns were fluffy and semi sweet. The coleslaw was light and not strongly seasoned. The burger was cooked medium and had a nice thick meat patty. Loaded with fresh toppings. The fries were hand cut potato slices and delicious. The hush puppies were a little dry but still good. My husband does NOT do superlatives. He said the Fish Joint had the best (cold) lobster roll he's ever had. I enjoyed my blackened mahi sandwich, to which I added sriracha which made it SING! Next time I will ask them to toast the bun a little longer as it was a bit soggy. Their fries are seasoned and delectable! This time we ordered takeout and the staff was friendly. Delicious. We came because of the reviews. Door was yummy. Service quick. Clean and plenty of parking. I am sorry I didn't tip. I was not expecting for you to bring me the food and bus our tables. I'm so use to ordering at the counter and grabbing the food when it's ready. Next time we are there I will be sure to take care of the staff. I had the scallops and my husband had shrimp and grits. I was craving a seafood boil for my birthday and decided to give "The Fish Joint" a try. The restaurant service set up is, you order at the register and your food is delivered to your table. I had no idea when I made the decision to go there. Not the best birthday celebration location however the food was very good. There is indoor bench style seating and a few tables outaide. We ordered the Steamers as an appetizer. They were cooked perfectly and delicious! The serving was plentiful and the broth was perfect. For my main, I had the half Crab Boil. It was also plentiful and fantastic. My fiancé had the Blackened Mahi Mahi with the Cajun Rice and Corn on the Cob. The Mahi Mahi and the rice were good but the corn and the serving size weren't so great. Another thing that wasn't so great was that a server never returned to our table to take away dishes that were finished, leaving a messy experience with a huge bowl of clams and a crab boil. I'll be back but not to celebrate anything. Might be better to get takeout at this restaurant. read more

So I order from this location a lot and the orders are for several people and we order the same things every time but today I was told if I wanted to make noted I needed to call. So first off why have it on your website if I don't want tomato or onions I should be able to say that. I also asked for the tails off my shrimp but didn't get that. I didn't get dressing for my $26 salad and was told that they honored my request today but won't do it again. Sad to have been told all that when I am just trying to have the salad I want for lunch. On another note my coworker keeps ordering the blackened mahi tacos and they are so wet you cannot pick up the taco and the fish has been sticking to the top of the box. My only complaints were the super sweet "vinaigrette" - the only alternative offered was Caesar dressing, so I settled for a generous serving of fresh lemons and because of the uncomfortably cold A/C inside, we sat outside. I stopped by here earlier today with my wife and twins for lunch. We were in coconut creek when my wife fired up Yelp and found the fish joint. Since she loves seafood, we decided to head on over. This restaurant is located in a strip mall and is somewhat on the smaller side. It's the type of place where you walk up to the counter and place your order and are given a number. Then whenever your food is ready, they bring it out to you. They had both outdoor ( 4 - 2 tops) and indoor (3 booths and 4 - 2 tops and 2 - 4 tops) seating and then the decor consisted of some surfboards as well as skateboards. For lunch on this day I ended up ordering the snapper platter and chose to have it grilled even though I really wanted it jerked. However a flight later that day made me choose the less spicy option. Then for my sides I chose French fries and grits. My wife ended up ordering the lobster bisque to start off with and then the ahi nachos. Last but certainly not least were my kids who split a butter noodles. My fish ended up being decent as it was moist and had a nice seasoning on it. It pulled up from the skin easily while staying together. Then the fries here were more like potatoes wedges but thinly sliced ones. That meant there was a lot of surface area for crispiness and not too much for the soft interior. Finally my grits were super smooth and creamy which was nice as they were easy to eat. My wife seemed to enjoy both her soup and nachos while my twins liked the butter noodles. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. Our food was good and our family fit right in as it seemed like 75% of the groups coming in had at least 1 toddler with them. read more

I've gotten takeout from this place twice now and both times the fish was amazing, flaky and delicious. The veggies were crisp and fresh. Coleslaw was cool, crunchy and tasty. The whole meal was a winner. The only improvement might be that the crab cakes are a little on the salty side for me. But honestly, that's just personal preference. I was greated by staff immediately after entering the establishment. I ordered the fish and chips and the portion was great. It came with 2 large cod, fries, hush puppies, and cole slaw. The food was fresh, and full of flavor. The resteraunt has some outside seating, which is where i ate. The staff was incredible. They frequently came by the table to check how things were. We have been trying to go to this spot forever now. Usually on a Sundays, but they are "gone fishing" on Sundays :) We finally got in on a Saturday, and it was quiet. Ambiance wise, long boards and skateboards decorated the walls. Minimal feeling but just enough to tell you that the owner has a very ocean and outdoor lifestyle. This is a walk-up and order type establishment. The food was good. The service was outstanding. The staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and about the restaurants history. Loved hearing the stories. Blackened Snapper - Had this with fresh veggies and coleslaw. Came with 2 hushpuppies that were small. 1 less star bc the snapper was watery. The more we cut in, the more water came out. It should have been more crispy and blackened. It made us believe it was possibly frozen and didn't have time to defrost before frying up. It was a great piece of fish. However, it was swimming in juices/water, so it was not pleasant to eat. Fried Shrimp Po-boy - Fantsastic!!! Delicious flavors and perfectly made. The batter around the shrimp had a tasty seasoning, and the entire hoagie experience was delightful. 10/10 for this entire dish. French Fries - Heyooo!!!
