No napkins or utensils and only one piece of chicken.

$14.45 for one chicken leg, rice, beans and cup of soup. Another piece of chicken would have been fair for the price unless it's organic or chicken legs have gone up in price. The flavor was good but the lack of protein killed the experience.

Preliminary review: Somehow I missed a Peruvian place in Coral Springs. Has been open 1 year and the food is outstanding. Best shrimp ceviche I've had locally. And yes they have lunch specials!

This is your specialty hidden "hole in the wall" place for Peruvian empanadas!!…read more The locals know of this spot and keep it a secret! I was inducted into this secret and I want to share... got an empanada craving? Come here!! There was a looong line for these delicious freshly baked well- filled empanadas... and they also have Peruvian tamales and I saw some nicely robust pan-con-chicharrón sandwiches... what can I say: we will go back to try them! As for this time, we tried and loved the meat empanadas: the filling was nice and full, no skimpy bits of meat: nice serving for $3.50. We tried the chicken tamal and it was okay, but dry but overall a nice flavor, and finally we tried the alfajores that were warmed up at the car and were they were very nice as well. There is a line. There are only 3 tables and 5 barstools on the side... most people order to go, but if you want to eat inside, you have to negotiate with the people sitting at the tables. Do not hesitate to "reserve" your spot. I waited until we were at the top of the line, and someone 6 people behind us with no order had already negotiated and sat at a table... regardless of the fact that she didn't get her food until after we had already finished eating: the table "system" sucked, but we got another one of the tables and most customers take their orders to go, so it was not that bad. Phew! Anyway: I am uncovering the hole in the wall and letting the world know that they can get their fill on empanadas in this little shop in Margate. Enjoy!!

Best for Specialty coffee Brunch and healthy breakfast Remote work or studying (Wi-Fi and comfortable seating) Casual coffee dates or catching up with friends If you're in the Pompano Beach area and want more than just a cup of coffee, Carmela is one of the better choices. No way this stuff wasn't pre-made a while ago. Oh yeah, part of a banana and one strawberry. Despite what the waiter said, I could tell everything was pre-made. It's about the same quality as the free "continental breakfast" most cheap hotels offer except at the hotel it's still warm and you get refills on coffee and the waffle is freshly made and hot enough to melt butter. No free refills on coffee here unless you buy their "pour over," and then you get one small refill. The strainer for the coffee was stained and filthy when it was brought out, so they're not using fresh ones or even cleaning thoroughly between uses. GF had a meatless omelet and a smoothie. Her omelet was hot so obviously it was made fresh unlike mine. I told the waiter my food was cold and he swore he saw them "take it out of the oven," but nothing I ordered would be cooked in any over other than a microwave oven. Total bill for two: $60+. This was with a 30% discount on my plate for my food being served cold. Honestly you'll have a better, fresher meal at IHOP or Waffle House or Denny's, for a fraction of the price and you'll get coffee refills.

We ordered the Coca Amor crepes (strawberry, banana, chocolate, pistachio cream) and the Crepe Tatin (dulce de leche, caramelized apples, and crème anglaise), and both were amazing. Everything tasted fresh and made to order -- even the crepe batter is prepared fresh for each order, which makes the wait totally worth it. The crepes were perfectly thin, soft, and really flavorful, and the caramelized apples with dulce de leche were especially good. For drinks, we tried the honey matcha, which was smooth and not overly sweet, and the refresher smoothie, a fusion of berries that was fresh and really refreshing. Super cute atmosphere, great quality, and very friendly service. Definitely a hidden gem and already feels like a local favorite -- worth visiting if you're in the area.

It was not packed and I was greeted by Jeanette and the owner/Chef. They were both welcoming. Jeanette was bubbly and was very helpful with my choice. I ordered an iced latte and the classic breakfast. The Latte needed a little work but I advised Jeanette and she was apologetic. It needed a bit more sweetening. The breakfast was delicious- the bacon was juicy, not too salty. I asked for over hard eggs but it was a bit runny. It was still delicious nevertheless. I'll definitely be back to try their other menu items!
