Stopped by the location on Maple in Troy . They are practicing social distancing and the staff all wear face mask and were very polite . I ordered the Carrot cake pancake and the smoked salmon frittata, the flavors were very good appeared to be fresh ingredients however the pancakes was cooked too well and the Frittata was quiet small . I probably wouldn't make a trip back being that I live Downtown Detroit and it was just food no razzle nor dazzle here . What I'm going to start doing for future reviews is send the food back and have them adjust it to my liking and hopefully I can write better reviews. read more

This location is suffering. I'm leaving this review so that the owners/managers start to rethink their management practices. This franchise (like all franchises) must hold its standards up to the brand. Firstwatch is supposed to provide clean, modern, updated and healthy breakfast options to those of us in midwestern suburbs. I've been to other locations. A group of moms went for bfast after the first drop off at school. 8:30am. We were not able to finish and pay until nearly 11am. That is just plain ridiculous. We were not in a rush but that doesn't mean the waitperson can ignore us for hours!! We had to ask for EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING!! Refill coffee, more water, take our order, etc. There were 5 of us, not exactly invisible. But luckily for our 2.5 hr meal, they have me a $2 coupon for my "next visit" which I will NOT be needing. Get your act together! Ps. 2 stars instead of 1 cuz the food was great, when it finally came. (But Coffee needs work.) read more

I've been here several times. I like their scrambles with the roasted potatoes. My wife likes their pancakes. Usually a wait, so check in beforehand through the app. Orange juice is good, but not great. Probably store bought. I would recommend coming here for breakfast. read more

i changed my mind, i do have to eat here again. my husband and i came back to give it another try after being contacted by pam, which i highly appreciate! she wanted us to try it again and offered us a gift certificate. this time i got the works omelette, my husband got the steak and eggs hash again. we split the blueberry pancakes and i got iced coffee and he got the blue booster. everything was GREAT! the pancakes were the highlight of the show. so soft and buttery in the center. my husband is not a pancake guy and he absolutely loved them. my omelette was full of flavor and packed with toppings. not to mention the iced coffee was so creamy and delicious. didn't need any additional cream or sugar. the blue booster was nice and sweet! perfect for anyone who's picky with speciality beverages. our service was spot on and the server made sure to check in us. we will definitely be back again! thank you first watch for actually caring about your customers! read more

I've come on total about 5 times, each time I've had the same issues with the establishment which is why this is my last time. The food is good, not great, not bad-- good. The service and and wait time for food is atrocious. Scrambled eggs take 35 minutes, pre-made soup takes 40 minutes... that's where I have an issue. The staff is nice enough, but the time it takes to get food once ordered is not acceptable. Avoid if you are hungry or if you have to be somewhere. Also- its very loud. read more

My first visit was for breakfast at the Big Beaver location. I would rate it 4 stars. I forget what kind of scramble it was, something w veggies and goat cheese and it was great. Lemon ricotta pancakes delicious. Million dollar bacon yum. Great home fries. My second visit was at Maple/Coolidge location for lunch, and I would rate it 2 stars. Worst club sandwich i've ever had. Gross soft sourdough bread. Watery bland tomato soup. Pecan chicken salad w honey vinaigrette was good... except for the chicken. Tasted like it came off a truck, pre cooked. The coffee here is amazing. First time here so tried what seemed to be interesting items that I haven't seen elsewhere. I got the lemon ricotta pancakes and the million dollar bacon. Pancakes were fine. Didn't blow my mind or anything and bummed that the ricotta in the batter didn't seem to add much. I liked the lemon curd and fresh strawberries on top. Maple syrup was heated and that was a nice touch. And the million dollar bacon is a good idea but won't be getting it again. I dig candied bacon. I even dig peppered bacon. For me this was way too sweet and fiery and wish I had just gotten regular bacon. I'll be back to try one or two more items that look promising but this won't be a regular option because the prices remind me of room service at a hotel and so this will be a rare splurge place for this dude. Over a month ago I ordered take out which included a side order of their expensive bacon. I pick up my food, get home and realize they didn't include the bacon. So I call them - the guy apologized and stated he would process a refund right away. But it may take a couple of days to show up. Needless to say I never got the refund. I was going to order from them, then checked and realized they never refunded me for my bacon. So they basically just lost a customer for the price of bacon, as I will never order from them again. I had to get in the line to pay just to get back in front of him to get him to finally seat us like he said he would before he ignored us.
