Cinnamon Swirl Pancakes
Stephanie R.

We've returned for another brunch at Rochester Brunch House. The atmosphere is welcoming, as is the staff. It was bustling, since it was late morning on a Sunday, but we must have timed our arrival perfectly because we didn't wait long for 2 seats at the bar. We had a really good vantage point of what was going on in the back of the house as well as the server station, which we faced. The team was hard at work and I appreciated my server who watched my coffee cup and checked in 3 times to refill it, despite having phone duty along with serving the other bar patrons. I had the Cinnamon Swirl Pancakes and a Side of Bacon and hubby had the Breakfast Quesadillas. The bacon is thick sliced and was cooked to perfection - fairly crispy but chewy. The pancakes were sweet and flavorful - they were light on the cream cheese frosting which was good for me although I would have been happy with more. The quesadillas were very good - lots of flavors in every bite. They serve it with ranch dressing and salsa. Hubby asked for more salsa - we were charged $2. That was extremely high, in my opinion. I could see 50 cents or so but $2 was not appropriate for how much they serve. The service here is excellent - everyone is hustling but with a smile. It's high on the pricing but the food is good. We'll be back - just not ordering anything extra in the future. Lol

The service here is SO good! They go above and beyond to make sure everything is correct for my order, the servers are always refilling my coffee, and the food is fantastic! The ambiance at RBH is one of a kind. I cannot remember her name, however she is somewhat of a hospitality lady. She goes around and just talks to people, making sure everyone has what they need. She is one of the best when it comes to brightening up anyone's day!

Brunch House Vodka mule was delicious! I'm making this refreshing drink from now on.

The food and drinks were very good. The waitress was nice didn't see her a lot tho'. It's a small place but very clean. The price point is decent we had a party of 6 and the bill was $200+ with a 20% auto gratuity.

The best brunch in Rochester!! RBH is always busy, attesting to how popular and quality the restaurant is. The service is perfect, the atmosphere inside is great and on a nice summer day, eating your brunch on their patio is everything you could want. Every item on the menu is thoughtfully made and tastes phenomenal. A must visit for every brunch fan in the metro Detroit area.

A must do every time my daughter and I are back in MI visiting. Such a lovely restaurant inside and out, with great brunch specialties and great specialty lattes. One of our favorites is the Crab Cake Eggs Benedict, which is amazing and at a price that is approachable indulgence. I prefer my eggs hard boiled and they, unlike many others, always get it right. The holiday decorations are always festive yet tasteful and the interior decor is like an impeccably decorated home.

This is a pretty place for breakfast and brunch in downtown Rochester. I ordered the chicken scramble with sourdough bread, and it was really delicious, especially the bread! Service was slow, but I went on a Sunday noon, so it was busy. Servers were nice, but my family and I waited for 30 minutes for our food to come out, which is why I took out a star. We ate outside and the weather was very nice, and the scene was peaceful and quaint. There's paid parking, except on Sundays, and you may have to drive around a bit to find a spot depending on when you go.

Absolutely delicious! We met with a small group today and were absolutely delighted with our choices. The brunch menu is expansive, and there is literally something for everyone. The restaurant is super cute and located in a renovated church. Love the decor and homey feel inside. Service is also prompt but not rushed. The food was wonderful. We tried the French toast, Nutella pancakes, monte cristo and breakfast burrito. All were delicious, large portions and attractively plated. It was a very satisfying meal, and we'd recommend coming here again for sure.

Amazing breakfast spot. We stopped here again and tried the breakfast quesadilla, RBH omelet, huevos rancheros, and stuffed strawberry French toast. The breakfast quesadilla and huevos rancheros are very similar dishes. Both were absolutely spectacular. I would definitely come back and get either of those. The French toast was good but I prefer the cinnamon roll pancakes. Always a great breakfast.

I have enjoyed breakfast here several times and it is nice sitting at the bar and seeing the sunlight enter the dining area through beautiful windows in this space that was previously a church. It is also a great place to sit as I like viewing so many of the various menu offerings to consider in future visits as the server traffic to deliver orders from the kitchen travel through this location. The Eggs Benedict is very tasty and the RBH omelet is a nice portion and also delicious. If you like something sweeter, I suggest trying some of the fluffy pancake offerings that have fruit and fancy toppings. I have been fortunate to have been served by multiple servers who have all been kind and friendly. Even the manager (owners' mother) often has greeted me as well and she is very nice, welcoming, helpful, and friendly.

To no surprise, had an amazing visit at RBH! We went on a weekday to avoid the rush/line that accumulates on the weekends, and even though we went pretty late in the afternoon (close to close) the service was fantastic! I got my usually nutella crepes and they were of course delicious. My friends opted for the tater tot bowl, breakfast burrito (don't remember the specific one, but it's pictured below), and classic eggs benedict and everyone loved what they got. Everything is so flavorful and well made. Also very random, but they have mouth watering frappes, I don't know what it is, but everyone got one and loved. This is my go to spot to take friends and family visiting from out of town - the service, decorations, food, everything is great! Will be back!

Avocado Toast

Came here for brunch with a friend and we were able to get a table right away! For my drink, I ordered an iced horchata latte, which was part of the holiday menu. I thought it was very good! For my food I ordered avocado toast, which had arugula, tomato, bacon, egg, and goat cheese on top. The ingredients were very fresh and I would order it again!

We were seated immediately, the place isn't huge but decorated very nicely and we had enough space where we didn't feel like we were sitting on top of each other. I ordered the maple chicken biscuits with breakfast potatoes and the man mosa with pineapple juice instead of orange. The biscuit was delicious, so fluffy and the chicken was seasoned perfectly. I also sampled my friend pancakes and omg they were so fluffy and buttery!

Tacos

I ordered tacos and to my surprise it really tasted good. It was served hot and went well with salad on side. I have been here before and love the ambience. As usual there was 30 min wait and we were given table at back side. I would have enjoyed if i got table in main room given 30 min wait I had. Food is good!

Best breakfast food in all of Rochester, a real "Cool cat" restaurant. Wait staff is professional but could be a little friendlier at times

Ask the Community - Rochester Brunch House

Is this the place that has bottomless mimosas?

I don't believe so. They do, however, have several yummy flavor options!

Do they take reservations?

They do call aheads but they only put your name down, they're super busy on weekends so I'd go early.

Are there any vegan options here?

Yes, oatmeal with bananas-blueberries-granola- honey. Granola with yogurt or fruits. Great salads… Read more

Is it hard to get in on Saturday morning around 9am?

Yes and there isn’t anywhere inside to wait. We usually drive by and if they are smashed against the door we go somewhere else. It’s delicious and worth the wait but there isn’t anywhere to wait.

Anyone have any idea of the nutrition content of the menu items?

I believe that they are not posted on the menu.

The place is clean, has lots of seating, and I really appreciate the many windows and natural lighting, it makes the space feel open and comfortable. Parking is easy, which is a big plus. I live out in the Lansing area and met a friend who had the same thoughts about Paul's as we did, but picked it for its parking and easy to navigate location on a Saturday night in December. We were all so pleasantly surprised -- I'm writing from the following morning and I'm still amazed at the change of this place! I ordered a couple apps -- the Brussels sprouts and the boom boom shrimp. The Brussel sprouts were a touch over for me with the meat not quite being crispy enough, but that didn't stop the rest of my table from finishing them. The boom boom shrimp was delicious -- I found the spice-level completely appropriate for something I'm expecting to have 'a touch of spice' while my husband found zero spice. Would order the shrimp again. They did away with the breadbasket of yesteryears and switched to real, cut, French bread with whipped butter! I had the French onion soup which came last to the table and I wasn't mad at that as it was HOT -- thank you! My friend ordered the tuna on sourdough which was perfect with beautifully crispy fries. And my husband ordered a giant burger, that had the perfect cook on it! Overall, we had a lovely time. The wait staff were also extremely delicate and respectful in nudging us to let us know there was a massive line waiting for our table (something we didn't realize as we were chatting and catching up).
