So glad we stopped by Chomp! The girl taking our order was super friendly and gave us some great recommendations. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with plenty of seating both inside and outside. We picked a table outside, and it felt like our food and drinks came out as soon as we sat down. We ordered the Firecracker Chicken Wrap, Reuben Sandwich, and the Fruit Blast Juice (raw juice which has pineapple, orange, milk, and honey). The wrap and sandwich were absolutely amazing. Chomp has been a favorite of my vegetarian daughter but I had never been there. She and I and my son decided to try it. It was seemingly pretty busy for a between lunch and dinner time. The lad had the kids meal with chicken fingers, fries and drink which all tasted fine but not extraordinary. My daughter had the (fake) chikn schwarma which looked good and she reported was very good. I had the morel toast special which had morels, arugula, goat cheese, leeks and a bit of an overload of balsamic dressing. I don't recall if the menu listed that but it was a little too much. I wasn't absolutely thrilled with their sandwiches here at Chomp! I thought they would be similar to the other deli sandwiches in the air area, but they were not. They forgot the coleslaw on my Reuben, which made it a little dry. My fiancé ordered a turkey sandwich on a pretzel bun, he said it was just OK. For both it was over $30. read more

I've been coming here for years with my family and it is always so good! It's on the corner of Main St downtown Rochester and it's always my first stop when I'm in the area. I love coming here during the holidays and seeing the lights. They recently expanded the space so there is plenty more seating in the back. The food is delicious and so fresh. No matter what I order, it's always light and clean. This time, I got the wild salmon farro bowl which was a great blend of flavors especially with the butternut squash, Brussel sprouts and feta. We split the onion petals which were nice and crispy. My sister and mom tried the short rib grilled cheese and chicken tinga bowl and also loved the flavors of their meals. Lot of interesting options in menu including vegan choices, lovely sitting inside and on the patio and friendly staff. The place is a lot larger than it looks from the outside. there is very limited restaurant parking but a paid ( by the hour) parking lot right across the back entrance/patio. We loved everything we ordered - vegan BanhMi ,chicken and waffles, truffle fries and the blue Raz smoothie. Food is delivered in to go boxes on the patio. We love Chomp! We are here once a week. Service is friendly and SUPER fast. With little kids, it is great, because they get fed quickly. Food is wonderful. I personally almost always order off of the specials list (butternut squash grilled cheese is killer right now) and am rarely disappointed. The amount of food is a lot too! Had an issue checking out online, but thankfully the phone number here on Yelp meant I could call an order in and someone answered the phone immediately. Parked in the back and it was quick to check out inside with a credit card. The sandwiches were hot and ready in 10min and stayed warm in the packaging for another 15min to our picnic destination. I've been craving a cheeseburger for well over a week now, and I figured I'd give Chomp a try. They offer gluten-free buns for $2.75 up-charge. This place is on the corner of the main street that seems to be a somewhat high traffic area, both of the car and pedestrian kind. You order at the counter and then are given a number, and then you can find a seat at any table you like. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger on a gluten-free bun, which came to $17.75. While it looked delicious, the burger lacked flavor and/or seasoning. The bun held up rather well for being gluten-free, and it was delicious. The bacon was also delicious. However, like I'd previously mentioned, the burger patty itself left a lot to be desired. About 2/3 of the way thru, I removed the patty altogether and ate the bun/tomato/bacon by itself. My husband ordered a chicken wrap of some sort. He mentioned it was also under seasoned and lacked much flavor. While they use high-end ingredients, they miss the mark on seasoning. We used to come to chomp all the time but moved hadn't made it over in a while. First, service is great. Super friendly and fast staff. Love counter service ordering but food delivered to your table. Much faster. We ate on the super cute outdoor patio and it was really lovely. They added a new indoor dining and second bathroom since I was last in and that's fantastic! But the food wasn't as good as I remember. Fries were smaller portion and the avocado on all three of sandwiches was green and lovely looking but not ripe and so hard we could not eat it. If you sit outside they deliver to your table into go boxes and it made my daughter's grilled cheese a little soggy. I would come back for sure but just couldn't give 5 stars as I hoped. read more

Wild mushroom and Brie quesadillas (added chicken) 4/5 Roasted veggie soup 3/5 Brussels sprouts 1/5 Salmon blt 2/5 I was pretty happy with my quesadilla, I love mushrooms and they let me add chicken so that was a plus for me. I didn't get much onion or spinach but it was still solid. The fire roasted veggie soup was just ok. It's $7 for a cup, not a bowl, and there weren't really any vegetables inside. Maybe it was all blended, not sure. My wife got the salmon blt and we shared some Brussels sprouts. The sprouts were mushy, not the least bit crunchy and it was neither salted nor sweetened properly. So it was just a mushy mistake. The salmon blt had less than a teaspoon of this sriracha mayo so it was just a dry sandwich. The salmon was not seasoned in the least bit. Ya gotta add salt to fish. It's a pretty expensive meal so I would've hoped for a bit more when it came to taste. I'm sure it's all locally grown, farm to table with wild caught salmon from the Clinton river but it's not a place I wouldn't put it in my rotation. They were very busy but the staff took all the orders in a timely manner and were very nice. And the spot itself is awesome, especially during the nicer time of the year because you can sit outside and people watch. read more

You won't find your basic cheeseburger here--every choice in ingredients is well thought out and downright delicious. The grilled salmon salad and balsamic sweet potato fries are my go-to. Their smoothies aren't sugar-fied, but made with real fruit and Greek yogurt. They have a vegan menu and juice bar as well. Nice indoor seating on Main Street, outdoor seating at the back of the building has open windows and ceiling for summer & heat lamps for winter. Staff is always friendly and fast in delivering orders, we've seen the owner in there each time we've visited. Be sure to make it your next lunch stop!! read more

Love this little vegan friendly restaurant situated in downtown Rochester. They offer takeout and eat in. Did both on this trip. Takeout was effortless and fairly fast. Ate on the outside patio for the second visit. The heaters are great. Go inside to order and eat outside. They have a separate vegan menu. Ordered one of their smoothies, the vegan soup of the day, and tried the sweet potato burger. I usually get the faux chicken sandwich, but tried something new. They forgot to put the avocado on my burger, so I had to go back inside and wait for them to add it. That's the best part! The burger was hard to eat in that it felt apart. The flavor was okay, but I think I was missing some of the other toppings too. May stick with the usual next time. Soup was vegetable and wild rice. Delicious as are all their vegan soups. Chomp is definitely a solid choice in the area full of good choices. And they have some great veggie choices on the menu. So we had to stop in and check it out. It's very laid back inside, order at the counter and they bring you your food to the table. The Menu has a lot of great sounding choices, the burgers were really catching my eye. But I ended up going for one of their sandwiches. I went for the Cajun club, Grilled cajun chicken, bacon, avocado, chipotle glazed onions, lettuce, and tomatoes on grilled texas toast $13.00. And it did not disappoint I was totally satisfied and happy with this sandwich. We also got the balsamic sweet potato fries topped with goat cheese and drizzled with balsamic reduction $9.00 those were also hot and tasty. Sorry I can't go five stars, This just isn't that kind of place and the atmosphere doesn't carry it. Order at the counter and take a seat, counter style spot. It's a small place and nearly impossible to social distance to even order since there's only about 3-4 deep space to the counter. 6 tables total inside but not enough space between them to be a safe distance from other guests. It's mostly a carry out spot. Ordered sriracha bleu cheese, the habanero chicken pita, Turkey Reuben, green monster and peanut butter cup smoothie too. The peanut butter cup is nice, the PB is notable. The green monster is smooth, aided by the avocado and has a rich healthy green color from the spinach and slightly sweet from the mango and banana. Food takes a while to come out, it's a small kitchen and they have a lot of carry out orders, online orders for pickup too. Teaching me forbearance as my hunger pains and headache remind me by the minute of how hungry I am and haven't had a bite to eat yet today. The food took 24 minutes to come out from the order time, that's rather slow. The turkey Rueben wasn't bad, about a 3, the deli meat slices are thin and not very special or substantial at all, but the grilled sour dough is good. The sriracha bleu cheese fries were crunchy from the seasoned fries. Quite addicting. The habanero chicken pita wrap was a nice balance of heat from the habanero and sweetness from the mango. The chunks of chicken seemed tender. The be fair I think our overall meal was about a 3.5, the spacing and slightly too close for comfort to other guests was about a 1-2, deli turkey meat dropped the turkey Rueben to a 3 at best. read more

Love this place and their food is always fresh and flavorful. From their salads that are made large and are full of fresh fruits, veggies, and protein. The Michigan Salad with chicken is always at the top of my list here, along with the burgers and then you must have the truffle fries. Great place for meal downtown or as carry out. read more

April 2019- First time visiting last night and OMG it was absolutely AMAZING. The fries were to die for I could've eaten the whole plate myself! The burger was cooked PERFECTLY which has been a struggle for me at any other burger place I've went but it came out hot and med rare super juicy! 100% will be returning June 2019- Well after tonight I'm 95% sure I won't be returning. We were out on the patio and the waitress brought my Sriracha burger out which had no avocado or bacon on it so I called her back to take it back and she looked SO annoyed by this.. which she should've noticed immediately it didn't have it.. I did. Anyways round two- she brings it back and basically ran away. I cut into it and it's med well so now I have to get up and go back inside. Wow... the look I received was even worse than the first.. which I'm sorry NEITHER one of those were my fault for $20 I'm pretty sure I deserve what I ask for. 4/4/20- Ok soooo I went back and I'm going to go back with my 5star review... who ever they had working last time thankfully were gone. We ordered takeout and went with the vegan menu. I ordered the bahn-mi and husband got the Rueben. The Rueben was good as the fake meat used was flavorful. Bahn mi actually fell apart and got a bit soggy and also low on flavor. I didn't feel like everything came together very well. Maybe not the right dish for takeout. Wish I had known this before giving 20% tip up front at the register, which has become the annoying new norm. $27 for a turkey and cheese on a pretzel roll, side of shareable sweet potato fries (limp and greasy),and a coke. Poor hygiene. Poor management. The front manager at this establishment is ridiculously passive aggressive, manipulative, unorganized, and rude. She treats some of the kids that work for her with complete contempt, taking hours when they won't worship her. She won't allow the kids to wash their hands before contacting food. The cooks do not wear gloves when preparing food. And think before you leave a tip for your teen server, as they are required to hand them ALL over to owner. This establishment is dirty, clean behavior is frowned upon due to extra cost, and the teen workers are manipulated and cheated. I will never eat at Chomp again. read more

Now, I originally came in the weather was being ridiculous, but for whatever reason I was running errands and stopped in. A friend who lives in Rochester hills told me to try to the Green Machine ( since I'm on Team Health) and I'm so glad I did. I love green juices and smoothies. I ordered the Veggie Hash with added Avocado. It was really delicious. Now take heed, as the they're a bit pricey. I want to say my two item meal came up to around $21 + my tip, but I think it's worth it. As I was leaving one of the staff were taking pictures of a new burger they were planning on placing on their menu, so it's good to know they always switch it up.
