Pitas were sooooo good! Food was great in general. Class coney / diner vibes. Service was nice. Will definitely go back because it's so close to so many apartments!

Ran into this place while looking for a quick breakfast to try. Place was slow during the week. Looks like it's a family owned restaurant, I was immediately greeted by the owner. She was very pleasant and immediately seated me and handed the menu. Menu has a lot of options but I went and ordered the Classic eggs Benedict , their special of the week. Food came fast and fresh.

Third time going in and we're never disappointed! Great staff, and the food is fairly priced for the portions and DELICIOUS!!

Never knew this place existed until a few weeks ago, so when we were in the mood for a Sunday breakfast, it seemed like the perfect time to give it a try. We got there at around 9:30 and there weren't many people there yet, but it filled up pretty quickly after we got there. It's just one big open space with a diner feel - nothing fancy, but it works. The breakfast menu is gigantic - so many choices! I decided to go for the spinach and feta omelette. It had a ton of spinach in it! I was good, but not particularly flavorful. It also came with a huge hash brown. My wife had the bacon, egg and cheese wrap. It was definitely bigger than she expected, but she liked it. Glad we gave this place a try!

    Alex big breakfast

Can say enough about the excellent breakfast this place has . This is the Alex big special , 3 eggs over easy, ham , sausage, bacon, hash browns & toast . All good quality items just how you would expect a great breakfast to be .

When I got here I was the only person in there. My waitress was very polite and helpful. I order the corned beef hash, omelette and pancakes. Everything was good. It's a nice little chill spot to sit and eat. I will definitely be back. Even if it's just to get the hash to go. Only thing I'll wish was different would be the brand of OJ. Everfresh is not the best. $30

Am I really gonna have to travel to Michigan again to get my favorite corned beef hash? Super modest spot tucked in the corner of a shopping center in Troy, Alex's serves up a delicious home made corned beef hash with potatoes, green peppers and onion. The over medium eggs were perfect too. Friendly and fast service! Hope to be back.

    Cute diner in Troy!

Cute, friendly diner! We were in Troy for a concert and visiting friends. This place is near big beaver road by Marriott. There's plenty of parking, it's in a plaza with other businesses. We came for breakfast on Saturday with no waiting. The staff was friendly and attentive. I ordered an omelette with ham, green peppers, onions (forgot the name ) but it was delicious and big portion. I loved the hash browns, cooked perfectly crisp on top! My husband ordered the special mushroom toast and he said it was amazing! My daughter kept eating more of his breakfast instead of her French toast, which was also good. It was clean and good lighting from the big windows. I will definitely return when we stay in the area again.

We went here based on the reviews we read online and they weren't kidding! This is definitely one of the best breakfast places around. This is a small family type diner with just a few booths and many friendly faces. We were staying over at the Somerset Inn hotel and it's only about five minutes away from this restaurant on Livernois. I got the veggie omelette made with egg whites and had them switch the Swiss cheese to mozzarella cheese. My friend got the farmers omelette and said it was really delicious. Both omelettes were huge and were stuffed with many many ingredients. We both ended up taking a carry out box. The rye bread is really good and was also cooked just the way I like it (believe it or not many places can't make toast properly!) My hashbrowns were done perfectly but my friend said his were a little too crispy for him. All in all I would definitely go to this restaurant again and highly recommended for breakfast.

If it's something big come early cause it definitely gets packed pretty quick. I had the boneless wings with the Korean sauce and it was shockingly good. Boneless wings are a low expectation food for me, so when a sauce or the crisp really comes out excellent, I'm always genuinely surprised. The sauce was really the highlight, cause it balances flavor and heat perfectly, while also having some sweetness without being too sticky. What I really like about this spot is that they have around 110 draft beers on tap so it's really a craft beer lovers paradise. They also have some basic beers for those who don't have the love for crafts along with a full bar and curated cocktail list. So if you like the idea of an elevated sports bar, with solid food choices, and amazing beer list this is the spot for you.

My matcha latte was pretty mid -- not a coffee shop so I wouldn't necessarily expect anything incredible but it could have been hotter, at least. I do want to start with some thoughts before I give the highlights. We were charged a percent for using a credit card. I cannot speak to the in-person menu, but I combed the online menu and it did not mention that. We were also charged for ranch. Most places do not do that, and we were not informed there would be an upcharge. Most places allow you a sauce to go with fries. Also, for my meal, there is an image of an extra sauce which it did not come with, but we were charged for two small portions of ranch. Last, the server was just okay. I always enthusiastically ask questions to get to know more about a place. I asked if they had any other fruity drinks. She pointed to the drink menu and indicated just the Paloma. I said, but you have a full bar, this is the only fruity drink you make? She did not want to ask the bar, but I asked her to. The bar apparently only came up with one other drink idea, which I ended up getting two drinks listed on the menu (both very good) but it seemed like work for her to go out of her way to inquire. I also bet they could have made many fruity drinks, like maybe a Mai Tai, or some equivalent. Oh well. On the other hand, the Paloma was actually very good. It was a quality Paloma and I do recommend. Their other drink was seasonal with lavender, also a very nice drink. Most of the other places, like Honcho, I have no problem with getting a variety of drinks or inquiring about them, and the bar tender here did a great job. I came here because I was targeted by an ad on Instagram. This place was not on my radar, but since they created a meal (Steak-frites) very similar to Le Relais in Paris and New York, etc... I wanted to try it. It came with bottomless parm fries. The fries were crispy, savory, and delightful. The steak was super well cooked and was like butter. You did not even need a knife, it cut with a fork. Since I love next day leftovers, the steak was still super delicious and tender the next day. It was still like butter and cut with a fork. I would absolutely come back for that and bring the rest of my family. We also tried the tri-tip sandwich. We were told the bread was made fresh. I thought it was very good and very tender. My husband would have liked an au jus or horseradish sauce. He would try the hamburger next, but I would love another steak-frites, like right now! We were sad the coffee and pastry section closed early. In the past, at Honcho, we would get coffee and pastry after dinner since their coffee tends to be really good and quality. I would consider coming for brunch to try some. We talked to a gentleman who was part of the business as he was working hard. He was very kind and knowledgeable and took the time to hear our thoughts. I told him I was here for the steak. He thought I had a "but". I did not, it was great and I hope they can maintain that price point and the second serving of fries, because that was my main reason for visiting. He let us know the menu recently changed. I am not able to compare since this was my first time, but I liked that they had a steak dinner and pizza. If we come back my oldest loves this group's pizza, she gets it at Vinsetta, and this one looked very good.

I ordered the BBQ Chicken Salad. The avocado was rock hard, the chicken tasted off, and there were visibly rotted pieces of lettuce mixed into the salad. I let our server know, and she agreed it "didn't look normal." She took it back and asked what I'd like instead. I ordered the Chicken Giardiniera. It didn't arrive until the rest of my party had already finished eating. I've had this dish here before, and this version wasn't anywhere near the quality I remembered. The server even brought me a to-go box without asking because, at that point, everyone else was done and ready to leave. When the bill came, the salad was removed, but I was charged full price for the replacement entrée--even though it was served so late that I barely had a chance to eat it. What was most disappointing wasn't the food itself, but how the situation was handled. There was no apology, no manager stopped by, and no effort to make things right. For the prices Cooper's Hawk charges, I'd expect much better food quality and customer service. Very disappointing experience, and after seeing the quality decline over multiple visits, I won't be returning.
