I've tried various items on their menu and everything has been good! Today I tried items from the seasonal menu and that was no exception. The friends I bring here come back with their families because that's just how good it is. Arrived to Detroit to celebrate my friend's birthday! We were hungry so we looked up places close to the house and found this place. It was cozy and the food was good! Review Update - I came back to this restaurant after almost two years and it is still claustrophobic small, it's okay because the staff moves quick and efficient. Our waitress was beyond sweet and helpful on recommending drinks and food items. The food and service was very good this time around. We went here because it was highly recommended. We did have to wait, but expected to because it was a Sunday morning. The best part was the food. I had the veggie skillet and it was delicious. The rating is because of the service. It started off well with ordering. However, we hardly saw our server after. We had to ask the hostess and another waitress for coffee refills and never got one of our toasts that came with the meal. When we told the person that finally came over with our bill to please remove the uncharge for the toast (because we upgraded to sourdough) she had to go get someone else. The next person came and removed it but there was never an apology for not getting the rest of my meal nor for anyone checking on us to even tell them we never got it. read more

Smaller diner next to smoke shop, maybe about 13 tables or so. It's quite chilly by the windows, feels like the air is on and it's about 50 degrees outside. We arrived after 9:35am. We were put on the list, told about 20-25 minute wait. About 8 people waiting on the list. Seated by 10:02am. Everything on their menu sounds so good. Ordered a chicken veggie skillet, scrambled eggs with raisin toast, an avocado toast, Breakfast Croissant with turkey sauce and two eggs over hard. $42.66 Quite hungry. The skillet was packed and filling, lots of veggies, not as much chicken. Not too much potatoes, which can often be the case with skillets. A bit salty for me, but overall it was a good meal. Avocado toast wasn't too bad, would have been better with some arugula on it for me, but it comes with a salad at least. Get the dressing on the side, was a bit heavy for me. I've been a regular customer and usually enjoy the food here, but today was disappointing. I came in just for pancakes, specifically requesting crispy edges--which I didn't get. Even worse, there was a piece of broccoli inside one of the pancakes. That's not only gross but also a clear issue of cross-contamination. I sent the dish back and didn't eat, yet I was still charged for the coffee. When I asked to speak to the owner, Christian, I was told he couldn't come out because he was cooking. I would've expected at least the coffee to be waived given the situation. As someone who's supported this place regularly, I left feeling extremely disappointed. Wow! Massive impact in a tiny space! This is the best breakfast I have had since moving back to Michigan (from Phoenix, AZ) 7 months ago. At first, you see the inside and its wall to wall tables. They've used every inch for seating and you're thinking "I'm not sure about this." Incredible from start to finish! Our table of 4 all tried different things. The "Teddy Bear" Iced Latte and the Churro French Toast were so good! The meat trio skillet was spot on as well. Came here for Sunday brunch because this was the halfway point for us and our family. There was a 20 minute wait for a Sunday at 1030am, which isn't bad. They do post a specials menu on the window, which was nice. The service here is great, and everyone was very nice. I love that this is a family owned spot, and you can definitely tell in the care they show their customers. There were 6 of us, and I don't think any of us felt rushed. Vera who was helping us out explained the menu so thoroughly to us because it was our first time here. It seems that you really cannot go wrong with any of the menu items here. Three of us got skillets, one salmon Benedict, BLT sandwich, and a breakfast plate w turkey sausage, egg, and pancakes. We also got a strawberry blintz to share All of the food here was delicious and fresh. I like that the cream cheese filling for the blintz is made in house and is not too sweet. We've been here a few times and everytime is delicious! Such a nice small family owned business. The service was so kind, even when it gets busy they apologize for the wait. But it's understandable with how busy they get. The food is delicious as well! This time I got the croissant sandwich with sausage and eggs and I think it was one of the best I've tried. Second time visiting Lucky Brunch and another 10/10 experience. Got all of their most popular items and they are indeed excellent. Very berry French toast is probably the best French toast I've ever had. Just the right amount of sweetness. Well balanced with the cream and fruits. Horseshoe omelette is supposedly their most popular omelette and I can see why. Toped with gravy and has hash brown mixed in. Overall very filling and delicious. We also got their breakfast burrito and lemon rice soup. Both are good but did not amaze me. Their teddy bear latte cold version is excellent! Beautiful presentation as well. We got the hot version this time and I was a little disappointed due to the small size. The iced version is definitely a better deal. Service is always good here. Very friendly and prompt despite how busy they are. Special shout out to Romina!! She took excellent care of us! My kid wanted to play with their car shaped container, and she went through the trouble to clear out all of the toothpicks inside so he can play with it! Also loves how she always greets you with a smile every time she walks by! Would definitely return again! Read lots of great reviews about Lucky Brunch and decided to come in on a Saturday morning with a friend. The place is really busy and the waitstaff is awesome. Someone was always asking if we needed anything and they were spot on with customer service and refilling coffee. I got the pumpkin spice cold brew with cold foam as the seasonal drink. It was really good. I got the horseshoe skillet - sausage, onions, potatoes, cheese, sausage gravy and 3 eggs cooked your way. It was a big portion and it was really good! It came with a side of toast and I definitely left stuffed! My friend got the triple meat omelette and she said it was delicious. The food was great and the price point was great also. You'll love everything about this place - food, ambiance, service. We ordered chorizo skillet, which was off menu and you have to ask. Three eggs cooked to however you like, chorizo meat with good mexican/spanish flavor, fried cubed potatoes, some small greens. It is a hearty meal. It was good, but I probably would try another skillet next time like veggie or "root" skillet (also off menu, but sounds interesting). Berry french toast - this was so good! Two slices of perfectly cooked french toast with powdered sugar and yummy cream filling loaded with berries. You should definitely get this! It is a perfect balance for the saltiness of the skillet. The gingerbread latte - ah we were so back and forth about whether or not to get this but so glad we got it. We were concerned it would be too sweet but they adjusted the syrup level (1 and 1 instead of 2 and 2) and it came out perfect. If you get this, please get whip cream - I know, not healthy but it makes all the difference in taste. Well crafted with 3 little gingerbread cookies on top. Our server was Vera. She did a wonderful job explaining the menu - a "short" version for those in a rush a "long" version for those wanting more information. She was prompt and pleasant. Busy, were told 40 minute wait but got seated in 20. Didn't have to wait too long for food and overall everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals (kid friendly too) around us. The best brunch spot in Sterling Heights! Food and staff wise! I have been here at least 5 times and each time has been delicious. Parking is easy and right in front of the plaza. A few tables outside but most seating is inside. It can be tight and cramped at times, especially when the place is packed. But inside has high ceilings and a welcoming atmosphere. Restrooms are to the back right and single stall. Staff are all great but Selena is a true gem! So friendly and attentive! Menu wise - pick your poison, breakfast or lunch (or maybe both!?). Menu has a ton of options but not too much where it is overwhelming. Everything I have ordered or the person I was with has been great! My favorite is the banana Nutella crepes - I add strawberries too. Portion sizes are great. Other favorites have been avocado toast, strawberry salad, and french toast. My friend and I like to try different places around town and it was my turn to pick a place to eat at, so I offered up Lucky Brunch. She was surprised I'd known about it already, and we both were excited to come here. We chose to meet at 1PM on a Saturday hoping the breakfast crowd would've been gone by then. Surprisingly, it was still jamming! This must mean it was fabulous, which it is. There was a 30 minute wait so we put our name in and eventually we got seated. The menus pretty thorough so there was a lot of items to choose from, both breakfast an lunch. My friend got an omelet and I went with the cowboy burger with no bacon. The food here's pretty darn good and is on point for the prices that they charge. It's a bit cramped inside but still plenty of room to move around for the most part. Our only complaint was we had a slightly snarly waitress who was not the friendliest of the bunch. Our breaking point with our server was over napkins, of all things. See, my friend and I are heavy napkin users and we spill food on ourselves a lot. We require extra napkins to reduce our hot mess of eating habits. We'd asked the waitress for extra napkins to accommodate and she brought out those teeny tiny napkins that are essentially useless, and it was literally 2 or 3 of them. We asked for a bit more and she said no. We kind of sat there stunned because why wouldn't she do this? What was her deal? We found another waitress and asked her for more napkins and she was nice enough to accommodate. I'm not talking a thousand napkins, but what's the point of NOT giving a few more napkins? I had a messier burger which came with BBQ sauce on it, and I KNEW it was going to get all over my hands. My friend wears one full napkin on her shirt so she doesn't ruin her outfit, and then other napkins to wipe her hands with. Anyway, it's not to sound petty, but our entire service with her was like this. thank goodness the rest of the staff was nice, because this server sure wasn't. I went with a larger party and had a 30 minute wait, but staff was exceedingly nice and went out of their way to accommodate us. I ordered the Veggie Omelet and it was hands down one of the best I've had at a breakfast diner in a long time. Vegetables were perfectly cooked. This place is very small and it feels cramped, that wasn't the problem the issue the service wasn't the best, it was very slow and the servers weren't that nice. It took forever to bring water and than take our orders the food did come out fast. I ordered the French toast, eggs and hash browns and it was nothing spectacular about the food very bland the French did have a decent taste because of the cinnamon. My guest ordered the stuffed French toast which was good and turkey sausage that was okay. Would I drive all the way back out here, probably not. Really enjoyed grabbing breakfast here early on a Sunday morning. Really comfortable atmosphere, and the inside is very clean and modern. Our server was ridiculously nice and gave a ton of suggestions. She really wanted to make sure that we enjoyed everything and did a great job! I had the Chorizo breakfast burrito w/ sour cream and a side of bacon. The Chorizo was real and it was super tasty! Not greasy at all and had a bit of heat. The burrito was well put together, and all of the ingredients complemented each other. Often times, you'll get one of these that's just filled with egg and shredded cheese, but not here, this was AWESOME! The bacon was also of a decent thickness, well cooked and delicious. Some places swing and miss on bacon, but I was not disappointed. The coffee was also quite good! I'm happy to have another great breakfast/brunch spot close to home. Beautiful little spot just south of 15 mile on van dyke; we got there pretty early around 8 and it wasn't busy. I love when a place caters to little kids so my daughter got some crayons and something fun to color on. We got the chocolate chip pancakes and a western omelette. Everything was perfect. My omelette was seasoned which you would think is normal but it is not. The hash browns were cooked well without being burnt. The pancakes were so good that my daughter has already placed this establishment in her top three! I'm sure everything here is great so we will have to come back for some eggs Benedict next time! Customer service, Quality, and service are TERRIBLE. I've had several bad interactions and they just can't get it together. I order from here frequently because I work in the area. The last couple times I've ordered they have messed every single order up. I ordered a Greek salad and they put an insane amount of feta on it and forgot my salad dressing, I ordered a big breakfast and they forgot my sausage, I ordered a big breakfast with the sausage they were supposed to comp me and got 5 sausages total with no condiments or utensils. Not to mention one time I ordered food and the delivery driver didn't give me my full order and they gave me a hard time about refunding or redelivering. Every time I order from here the quality and customer service gets worse and worse. 0/10 I do not recommend. I will never order from here again. read more

Oh my goodness, the food was made with so much love. The Chicken Skillet was unlike any other, loaded with plenty of veggies in every bite. Baby Kale had the French Toast with juicy sausages and ate every single bite. My Holland had the Chicken Club with fries and said it was so good.
