Great place! I will definitely be back. Has a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. Shoestring fries are also my favorite so i was very happy to see these. Ordered a 4 ingredient smoothie and nothing else. Cost over $10. They did not even start making the smoothie until after I had waited for 25 minutes. They just kept taking new orders. April 2019- First time visiting last night and OMG it was absolutely AMAZING. The fries were to die for I could've eaten the whole plate myself! The burger was cooked PERFECTLY which has been a struggle for me at any other burger place I've went but it came out hot and med rare super juicy! 100% will be returning June 2019- Well after tonight I'm 95% sure I won't be returning. We were out on the patio and the waitress brought my Sriracha burger out which had no avocado or bacon on it so I called her back to take it back and she looked SO annoyed by this.. which she should've noticed immediately it didn't have it.. I did. Anyways round two- she brings it back and basically ran away. I cut into it and it's med well so now I have to get up and go back inside. Mmmmmm..... Mmmmmmm..... Mmmmmmm..... etc, etc, etc. That's it! What else is there to say? Well, actually I should probably expand on that a little more. As is often the case, I had bookmarked Chomp a while ago and finally got around to having lunch with friends there. Being the holiday season and a Saturday as well, there were people everywhere and street parking nearby wasn't happening. But there is a municipal metered lot behind the block where Chomp is located that we used. We walked in at noon and found a vacant four party table so, since Chomp's system is to order and then sit down to wait for your food to be brought out, we grabbed some menus and sat down to study it while we waited for our friends. There were a couple of empty six party tables as well but the place was moderately busy at that time. The dining area is not large but will roughly accommodate 40-50. Having done my research on Yelp, I had narrowed my choices to the burgers or the Reubens because that's what most of the pictures featured. There were many other interesting items as well, but they're for another visit on another day. I finally decided to order the Spicy Burger, Shoestring Fries (to share...like it says on the menu), and a Diet Coke. My wife ordered a Green Machine Raw Juice and a Black Bean Quesadilla. Our friends chose a Mushroom Burger and a Rueben. The drinks came out quickly; the Diet Coke was spot on, as they say. And my wife said she would order the Green Machine again. Then our Fries came out and they were crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, salted just right, and going fast; definitely a hit. Then the Spicy Burger and Quesadilla arrived...the size of these dishes was a bit intimidating! But we dug in and soon had them under control! The Spicy Burger definitely packed some heat, but I'm a professional and stayed with it through the Jalapeños, the Pepper Jack Cheese, and the Sauce. It was so good that I could see myself ordering that again...except they have many more treats on the menu. The Black Bean Quesadilla packed a little punch but was very tasty. My wife gave up after eating half so...guess what I'm having for dinner! I was fortunate that our friends let us try their Rueben as well and it was very good and on my future possibilities list. They had ordered the Sweet Potato Fries that were crunchy and probably the best I've had. The staff here are all top notch from ordering to cooking to serving to refills. As we ate and visited, we noticed the line vary from ridiculously long in tight quarters to none but vary steady. I think we have our favorite Burger place now. read more

I visited my friends in Detroit in December 2019 and after picking me up from the airport, we stopped here to pickup dinner. Parking was easy, as there's a lot nearby. The whole street was decked out with lights - it was so pretty! My friends eat here because they have gluten free options and they like the food. I got a burger and the Balsamic Sweet Potato Fries. My friend also got the fries but we received one regular sweet potato fries order so we split it. We waited to eat the food when we arrived at their house. I was attending a concert at Meadowbrook with a group of friends and we wanted to grab a bite to eat before the show. This was the perfect place to meet and we all loved the casual atmosphere. Ordering at the counter with a big group was much more efficient than table service. But mostly we all just loved the food. Every single person raved about their meal choice. The food was fresh, creative, and delicious. The portions are big and I felt it was a good value. Make sure to check out the specials board because my husband got the Cuban and raved about it. Others had sandwiches, fries and salad and smoothies. They do an amazing carry out business, but we enjoyed eating inside and relaxing before the concert. Yes yes yes! Chomp is straight up amazing! We stopped in on a Friday for lunch after hearing that there were plenty of vegetarian options- it did not disappoint. I'm 100% sure this was my favorite place we stopped in during our visit. Inside is super cute and while I'm not a huge fan of ordering at a counter is worked here. The woman working the register paid close attention and answered all my questions. I loved seeing such a big menu that catered to everyone. I ended up going with an impossible quesadilla and it was awesome! The only thing I would've changed was cutting the peppers smaller but that's just a personal preference. The Parmesan truffle fries were also amazing. Do yourself a favor and sit outside. It's really relaxing and staff will bring your food to you. Have I really never reviewed this place? I've been here like 15 times. Sooo that should tell you that it's pretty damn good. I've eaten here as an omnivore, a vegetarian, and a vegan -- because they seriously have something for everyone. Since it's been a while since I ate meat, I'll focus on their vegan options. They recently started offering vegan options, and they really are going all-in. They're one of the few places in the area with an ACTUAL vegan menu and not just a few items (or one) that can be made vegan by subbing and removing half the ingredients. Their vegan menu is kept on a chalkboard by the counter, plus they usually have at least one vegan special. Since they started offering the menu a few months ago, I've seen it changed a few times, which is always nice. I think I've had the vegan Reuben twice. It's loaded with jackfruit and melty cheese. I don't think I ever even ate a meaty Reuben, but I loved this thing. There was something that made it really floral tasting my second time which was a little off-putting, but I'd still recommend it because the first time was insane and left me craving it for weeks (hence the second order). Their buffalo cauliflower wrap was good, too. It wasn't quite buffalo-y enough for me (slightly bbq-y?), But it was really big, filling, and flavorful (even if that flavor wasn't buffalo sauce). Most recently I had the vegan Philly... I really wish someone had warned me how MASSIVE it was because then I wouldn't have ordered fries, too. I couldn't even finish it. I got it as takeout that I had to drive back to work, and I know it would be even better in the restaurant because they crisp up the bread in the most delicious and greasy way. It was loaded with seasoned seitan and melty cheese, plus peppers, mushrooms, and onions. Easily the best value here. Add in how great their fries are (thin, crispy, salty) and I'd recommend Chomp to anyone in the area, even over the expensive sit-down restaurants. We recently moved away from Rochester and Chomp is truly the one thing we miss. read more

Came here because of their new vegan menu! Definitely need to come back and try the rest- had a quesadilla this time that was pretty good. Although it was a bit frustrating that the prices weren't listed on the menu, and the little table kept shifting back and forth but that's minor annoyances. Ordering first and sitting at a table was a nice change. Prices are a bit high, I think it was like $14 for my quesadilla? Other than that though it's a nice little place with a cute shark mural in the back. Update: Tried the "Super Bowl Sandwich" it is amazing!! Split it with myself and a friend of mine, they were really cool about cutting it in half for us. My friend said it reminded them of those big sandwiches they ate in Scooby Doo, definitely think Scooby Sandwich sounds better it was like $21ish dollars though? Like I said before there's no prices on the menu I just remember paying over $20, which is a bit on the higher end for sure, but this is rochester hills. It would be nice if they'd put prices on their menus so it's not a surprise at the register. After biking the Paint Creek Trail, we wanted something light for lunch. We had never been to Chomp and I am so glad we discovered it! They offer a variety of salads, sandwiches, and burgers, along with raw juices and smoothies. Three of the items we ordered included the BGC (balsamic glazed chicken breast, goat cheese, roasted red peppers, spinach, tomato, lemon-basil aioli on a ciabatta), Poppy (grilled chicken breast, roasted red peppers, mozzarella, basil, sun-dried tomato pesto on a grilled ciabatta) and the Philly (roast beef, provolone, sautéed peppers, onions, mushrooms and mayo) and everything was great! We also had seasoned fries and mozzarella stings. The seasoned fries were great, but next time we will do without the $5 mozzarella sticks with no dipping sauce. Everything looked fantastic and tasted really fresh. We will defiantly dine at Chomp the next time we are in Rochester! read more

I've recently had 2 very good tasting meals at Chomp. The portobello mushroom sandwich and a roasted apple with gouda burger. Both full of flavor and filling. What ruined the meal was the massive amount of liquid from the burgers, soaking the bottom bun, then soaking my hands. It made them very hard to eat and extremely messy. I order the 'Beet It' raw juice to accompany my burger. I love beet juice. This juice was not flavorful and the beets were not mellowed by the other juices in the mix. Then the price tag.. $19+ for lunch?!?! Ugg. I don't think I'll return on price alone. My mouth was happy, but my hands and wallet, not so much. read more

The chef never ceases to amaze us with new and exciting dishes. The vegan and vegetarian dishes are excellent. I was recommended this place by someone as a good vegetarian option. I was looking for a light but filling meal so I got the Green Goddess bowl. I was surprised when I got my take out bag that the bowl was warm, and was also pleased that it was so heavy in the bag, as I was very hungry. Initially, I was disappointed that there were some yellow arugula sprigs right on top of the pile, but I ate them anyway because I was so hungry. The rest of the meal was satisfactory (probably also because I was so hungry), and my only real criticism is that the sauce portion was insufficient for the large volume of veggies and quinoa. Overall, I would probably eat here again but I would look out for wilted arugula and ask for extra sauce. read more
