This was an unexpected visit. We were visiting the nearby Holocaust Center and grabbed a bite after. We got recommended to go by the lady in the Holocaust Center's gift shop. This was well worth the visit in the pouring rain. The size of the deli sandwich was unbelievable and I ate off of it for little over two days. The sandwich and pickle were very flavorful and I look forward to going back. The dining area was lit for an early evening bite. The service was fast and friendly.

Stage Deli's $325 thanksgiving dinner for eight last week

Ordered their thanksgiving dinner for eight last week and it was superb!! It really was enough for 10-12 people. The turkey was the best I've ever had...moist and tender with no gamey smell. All the sides were incredible. We paid $425 which included an additional side ($26), tax and tip. Desert is an extra charge as are additional sides. This has gotta be the best kept secret in West Bloomfield Township! They were extremely professional and had my order ready in time and even loaded the item in my trunk. I think I'm going to order thanksgiving dinner from Stage Deli from now on. It was that good!!! Trust me...you won't be disappointed.

In town visiting and was really in the mood for a Jewish deli, this place was recommended to me, and it did not disappoint. My wife, her aunt and I visited and were seated pretty immediately, even though it was decently busy. We were sat in a back corner, and the waitress was quick and attentive. The menu had so much to offer, and I wanted to try so much from the menu Matzo Ball soup, Kreplach, Mish Mash, Knishes, French Friend Chicken Livers. Decided to go with an appetizer of the Smoked Fish Dip, which was $14 and delicious, although the Pita chips were heavily salty (I love salt, but super salty). Matzo Ball Soup $10. To be honest did not notice any chicken in the soup just broth, which was a bit bland, the Matzo ball itself was nice and dense with a good creamy consistency. I was up in the air on what sandwich I wanted, leaning towards the #34 Jack's special (Hot corned beef, Chopped Liver, Lettuce, Russian dressing)...until I saw #40 Music Man (Tender Deli Tongue, Crisp Lettuce, Tomato, Spicy Pickle, Hot mustard) $18 for the smaller size $22 for the larger (nice to split). I cannot pass tongue up! This tongue was beautifully tender and well portioned. I would 100% return if/when back in the area!

Yummy! One of the best salads I've had in a while. Get the Stone Canyon when you visit. It was so good and the dressing was a lemony pepper dressing, it was delicious! This place is a hidden gem, the service is great, the vibe is vibrant and hip. I love it!

My family has been eating here for decades. It's a community institution and the food is consistently amazing. I wish there was a place like this in the city where I live now.

    Mushroom Barley soup

We stopped for lunch at the Stage Deli on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated quickly. It is a large deli menu with soups, sandwiches, and burgers. I am sure most people could find something to their taste. We started with the Mushroom Barley soup, which was very good. We split the Fantasia sandwich (Turkey). The sandwich tasted fresh, but was dry for my taste. It could have used some sauce to give it flavor and texture. I liked the atmosphere with the painted portraits (Marilyn Monroe, etc...). The deli has a sortof New York feel. The prices were on the higher side for a deli, in my opinion, but the atmosphere and quality food justified it. I appreciate many of the items had two sizes. My wife and I both agreed we would be back to try a few other picks. Easy to like.

Have been coming here for a long time and is always consistently good. The west side story sandwich with corned beef is my go to. The matzo ball soup comes with one huge ball and is enough to feed two people. The pastrami is not as good as the corned beef but that might be personal preference. Service is always on point. Typical deli vibes here.

The corn beef sandwich was good. It can be a bit pricey, but worth it. The quality of the meat is important to me and they always deliver.

I used to come to this…read morerestaurant way back when, when there were a lot less choices for where to eat in West Bloomfield at that time. Back then, Tony's then known as Daves Deli/Embers did a pretty good job for breakfast and I was pleased to see that they still do after all these years. For my return meal here I ended up getting the Two Egg Grandslam for $9.99 that had Two eggs cooked to order, hash browns, toast and meat of choice. The eggs were well cooked, with four pieces of meat, a very generous portion of hash browns and a rye toast that is just simply the best in the area where it is the same as I remember from 30 years ago. Relative to staff and facility, it is definately not a newer contemporary facility that many of the restaurants are in the area but is a tad more dated/rustic. Having said that it is defiantely clean and being well maintained where I was totally fine with the environment. Relative to staff, it felt like being at home as you could clearly hear the staff talking/arguing in the background (in a friendly way) where you normally do not hear that in most restaurants in the area. My only gripe, which is fairly significant for me, was after giving me my first cup of coffee they never returned to top it off or refill it during my breakfast which is a big no no for me and really a deal breaker. Not sure if this is the norm but if this were to happen again I probably would not return. For the purposes of this review I did not ding them on this but if it were to happen again I would not return. Overall good food at very reasonable prices is hard to beat and assuming my refill issue was a one off I would definately return in the future.

The same manager or owner was very chatty, I saw him cracking jokes either employees, and helping the cooks along with making my meal. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad and holy.moly. FRESH romaine lettuce, sliced tomato, cukes, and some great chicken, was enough for me to make two smaller salad (see pic)s. There is no reason a sandwich with two slices of bread, some sandwich meat, bottled Russian dressing, and two slices of cheese would cost anywhere over $8... I have been patronizing this restaurant for over 12 years. I have a feeling that they are taking advantage of their long standing position in this community, a loyal customer base, and customers not understanding pricing of beef.. 6 slices of corn beef is about $3, two slices of rye bread is $0.50, two slices of Swiss cheese is $0.20, a spread of Russian dressing is $0.05.... And they will charge you $20 for a sandwich..... this is awful, disloyal, and advantageous. Don't go here, find another place for lunch that respects hard working people trying to get a decent sandwich. Their food is great, but no intelligent person is paying $20 for a sandwich. It's almost laughable if it wasn't so disrespectful.
