We stopped by Central Park Deli to grab a quick lunch before a meeting after seeing online that they had gluten-free options. The restaurant itself was clean, calm, and welcoming, and the food coming out of the kitchen looked really good. They do offer gluten-free buns, which was exciting to see at first. When I asked about the meats though, the person at the counter let me know that their meat options aren't gluten-free. Since I have Celiac disease, that meant I wasn't able to order anything. I did appreciate how straightforward and accommodating the staff were about it. They answered my questions without hesitation, which is always helpful when navigating gluten-free dining. Came in here with my son for lunch. My initial reaction was that the sandwiches were a bit pricey. I had a large Detroiter, basically a Reuben with coleslaw instead of kraut. My kid had a hot pastrami sandwich. Let me start by saying that my sandwich was not only perfect, but it was massive. Expensive? Yes. But I more than got what I paid for. This felt like it was right around a pound of meat absolutely massive, it's 7 hours later and I am not even close to hungry. Great value here! Staff is friendly too. 9/30/25 Today I ordered two GRANDs and an order of fries. I called it in and spoke to Nay who was kind, patient and just had really good customer service! These three items cost $46 and some change. My only complaint is that my sandwich was soggy. So either the dressing or the lettuce made the bread soggy. Either way I spent too much to deal with that. My husband and I met our son for a late lunch today. Everything was amazing. I ordered the Michigan salad, it was fresh and very tasty. Lots of grilled chicken, walnuts, cucumber, cranberries, bleu cheese, romaine and delicious pita bread. The nice addition was a hard boiled egg served with the salad. The raspberry vinaigrette was a very good combination of sweet and tangy. My husband had the Philly Steak Sub, it was huge! He enjoyed it very much. Our son had the cod sandwich, the chipotle mayo is a nice change from the usual tartar sauce. The owner welcomed us as we came in through the door. She was super friendly and personable. This is the best deli. We order this at work at least 2x a week. The steak fajita, Greek, and chicken fajita wraps are so good. We also order the mozzarella sticks, deviled eggs, and fries to go with our sandwiches. Their food is consistently prepared as ordered and delivered fresh. Their staff is pleasant and moves through the lunch rush pretty quickly. They're always friendly despite being so busy. I can't say enough good things. It garners even more stars than longtime favorite, old school delis the Front Page, Lou's and the Star. Many reviewing other places complained about overly salted corned beef, long lines and relatively poor service. Service: 3.8/5 At 4:30 p.m. there was a small line and they had a bit of trouble locating my sandwich, pre-ordered online. No big deal but it was right there on the counter on the other side of the register so I didn't see it. Food quality: 4.5 Delicious corned beef, and crunchy with the lettuce and tomato added, inside a soft onion roll. I'm not an expert on corned beef sandwiches but it was damn good and huge -- a good value with those add-ons even at today's inflated prices. I shall return, next time with a Jewish friend to get an "expert" opinion! My food - $18 for a steak Greek salad that had about 3-4 oz of over cooked steak. I requested medium and it was very well done. About 1 tablespoon of feta, 1/4 of a tomatoes, 3 small pepperoncini, 4 slices of cucumber, and a ton of lettuce. It came with a full Greek flat bread that tasted like the walk-in fridge. I do not recommend this salad as it is heavily over priced with minimal main ingredients. Daily soup - turkey chili. Now this was AMAZING! Tasted homemade - I'm hoping it was. i drove from Dearborn Heights as i had heard of this place from facebook recommendations, so i thought i would give it a try, as i am a BIG corned beef lover. i got the large Detroiter and it was BIG, i could only eat Half. my only disappointment is that i would have liked more dressing and more coleslaw on the sandwich as the corned beef lacked a little flavor on its own . I have finally had with this place. Take a look at my club roll up except there's no bacon. Can you believe they left off the bacon the star of the show the main ingredient on a club. couple of weeks ago I got the roast beef with extra mayo there was so much mayonnaise. I had to throw the sandwich out. I couldn't eat it. I called the next day and all I got was I'm sorry ma'am I'm sorry. Their soup is going down hill as well. And try to stay away from a Thursday night the guy with the knit hat and the long braids is too busy babysitting his child so he don't really care what he's putting out the door. What a shame. We were given someone else's order and when I called about getting a refund, the guy who answered the phone was the rudest person I've ever encountered. He acknowledged that he gave us the wrong order, but get this, he says as soon as we discovered it was the wrong order by opening the bag, we could not get a refund. "As soon as you opened your bag and discovered it was the wrong order, it became your order." EXCUSE ME? How else would you know your order was wrong unless you opened the stapled bag? My co-worker introduced me to this place, she picked up lunch last Tuesday and I ordered a corn beef on rye. The sandwich was delicious so I decided to turn my mother onto the deli and we order food same week on Thursday, needless to say this time the sandwich was GARBAGE! I work in Southfield, and kind of forgot all about this place since I've been working for home over the past year+! I decided to try Central Park Deli out again today, and it seems like they have upgraded some things since my last visit. I ordered online, which was an easy and smooth process. My order was ready when I arrived about 10 minutes later. Everything was clean (you could tell the fountain machine was recently wiped down, too, which is nice!). There are new kiosks where you can place your order inside, or go up to the main counter. I had a chicken caesar wrap that was really yummy and filling, had to add bacon to spice it up though! They have lots of options on the menu that I look forward to trying - even stir fry, which was a pleasant surprise that you wouldn't find at a traditional deli. I will definitely be back! read more

I was in the area for a 2-day training and ate lunch here both days. My first lunch was better than the 2nd. Day 1- garden veggie burger and spicy cauliflower; both delicious. The burger was dressed up nice (onion, tomato, lettuce) I got ketchup, mustard and mayo too, with great flavor. The cauliflower had a nice kick and ranch dip rounded out the flavors. Day 2- tuna melt and broccoli cheddar soup; the sandwich was good but small and nothing special with a high price tag, didn't even get a pickle with it :/ I added sriracha to the sammy, I like spice. Corned beef sandwich that was as good as any I've had anywhere. The meat was moist, it was flavorful and the thick slices of Jewish rye were perfect. Fluffy center and crewy crust.
