I haven't been here in years but my friend wanted to meet here for a quick brunch. She likes it, but I have gotten use to eating in better brunch places, not 1stuck in the 1980s. Typical diner menu of average food and large portions. Nothing adventurous, maybe why my ex husband liked eating here years ago. I had eggs and meat with toast, over easy, ham, and sourdough bread. Since I am not a big eater, the ham was taken home. Service was spotty at best and the place wasn't that busy. The dining room and parking lot looks a little run down. But you get what you pay for so the price are very reasonable for the amount of food. I will choose the next place we meet since my taste in brunches got raised by EBS.

I visited Ram's Horn for breakfast while my car was being worked on. I ordered the Southwest Bowl and a coffee. It tasted fine. I could even taste the spice of the pepper (I'm from the Southwest originally working in the Midwest). There weren't a lot of people in the restaurant but the servers were very attentive to me and very nice.

Very short staffed and very messy/unclean. I'm not sure why the place wasn't clean because there was literally only two tables in the restaurant. I was picking up an order for a friend. He said the food (fish n chips) are good.

HORRIBLE!!! I ordered a veggie omelette and it has hard carrots in it. Wtf!!! Whoever decided to add that to the ingredients is beyond illiterate!!! If they have a high school diploma it should be taken away.

Pic of the desert menu... Which you will need to order from. I had a chocolate shake and it was somethin' special

Oh and ive tried the burger... Its a burger BUT the meatloaf is some kinda experience. Its a triple sized portion piping hot.. as are the side dishes.. all fresh and the meat gravy... you check it out and let me know. Post me back if this isn't the best meatloaf plate you've ever had.. God bless your mama... tell me! Oh and did i mention the Southern Fried Chicken? No well its another one my mama would like to enjoy. I still remember her frying up chicken on Sundays. This Ram's Horn chicken made me think of my childhood. Its a 1/2 a chicken, very lightly battered and spiced. Has a light savory flavor.. juicy throughout.. this fried chicken will leave you smiling from food happiness. Its not my idea of a candle and bottled wine spot. So i know am going on & on, but i read some of the other reviews and some were pretty critical. Now I'm not sure what happened to those people but I had dinner here 3 nights in a row and i was so happy to get really awesome home style food at a super reasonable price. You know i'll be back real soon. Did i mention the milkshakes are... Creamy rich... mmm

I used to come here when I worked down the street. That was over 20 years ago. I was in the area and decided to stop in for lunch. Everyone was super friendly. I had three different people greet me when I got seated. I decided to go with breakfast--three over medium eggs sausage hash browns and wheat toast. I was surprised at how quickly I got my food. I am used to waiting for a bit and get caught up on social media. The food was delicious. Great service. I think I am not going to let a couple of decades before I come back.

    WORST RAMS HORN EVER !!!!

Corned beef hash and eggs at Ram's Horn in Southfield MI
    Bruce K.

Not quite a diner but offering a number of diner-like items, my visit to Ram's Horn was a weekday at 7:00 AM. Quite empty with one server really hustling to bring menus, take orders, bring food from the kitchen and keep coffee cups filled. She did a great job! Corned beef and eggs was a big meal with three eggs (I ordered them poached) and corned beef hash and potatoes *and* toast. Jeez, that's a lot of food. Eggs were great, toast was great, I could only eat one of the three medium-sized pancakes and the hash was okay but a little greasy. Coffee kept coming, which was great. All told, a very nice breakfast for just over $10. Wifi worked well. I'd come back.

It was fun to watch her work. Our waitress, Cecilia was the best we've experienced here. She was friendly, efficient, and kept our drinks coming. She reminded us about the happy hour specials. She was patient with modification requests. She cleared away the glasses and dishes no longer being used so the table was always clean. She even refilled our drinks after we paid and were still sitting at the table chatting away. I wish I had extra cash on me because I when have doubled the tip that was left for her. As for the food... the nachos are always a table favorite. I tried the chicken tenders with BBQ sauce - which I believe is made in house - it's pretty perfect in BBQ flavor. Also had the brussels sprouts with Parmesan and lemon aioli. They were quite tasty as well. (No photos this time).

The falafels were being made as we walked in, they are good, super fresh, not overcooked, soft center, quite yummy. Even better with their spicy tahini too. They were the best part of our meal, hands down. The bowls are packed to the gills, super filling. Tomatoes, raw radish, Jalapeño, yellow peppers and cucumbers look a bit dried out or not super appealing. I don't mind the red cabbage, would like the pickled cabbage or turshi more. Bowls are still not too bad. Good about of chicken shawarma meat and toppings. No skimping here. The staffers are quiet, but attentive. The crushed lentil isn't bad, no rice filler at least. Not a lot of flavor, but tastes healthier. The fattoush looks sad with the dried out radish, cucumber and unripened tomatoes. I do like the spicy garlic sauce, spicy hummus options, along with the shatta. The fattoush is ok, the dressing tastes rather perfumed to me, my husband says it's really lemony. It takes some getting used to for sure. Tried their pineapple and pomegranate and tropical fruit infused water, but it has way too much sugar. Would come back for the falafel and the build your own bowl.
