Tried this after the sushi place we wanted was closed for good, and andiamo wasn't open yet. Glad we stopped in. First thing I loved was the checking desk made out of a copper suit case... loved it. We live fairly close and have never checked this place out. We decided to go for my birthday. They have a great menu! The service was good; she was very attentive. The manager stopped by our table a few times to check on us which we thought very highly of. We sat inside which was very nice with a good vibe. They have a patio as well. We had the Beau's and Caesar salads which were very fresh and tasty. I even got all the ingredients from the store to make the beau's salad at home since I enjoyed it so much. We shared the chicken piccata which had a nice lemon flavor and was very delicious. We finished with a carrot cake which was great. We will definitely be back soon since we left wondering why we haven't been here sooner. read more

Revisited this place after two years- I like how this place is tucked conveniently off of telegraph and maple and has its own decently sized parking lot. I had the burrata (very nice with the pesto, a tad salty tho) and regular margarita (still tasty but no jalapeño margarita?!) plus the salmon. The salmon portion with wild grains was a nice size and I liked the dill sauce on top of it even though it was a little salty too... but still had a good taste! My friend and I split the warm carrot cake and I didn't love the frosting (not cream cheese based I think) but the warm cake was perfect for this winter night along with a delicious cappuccino to close out the night! Beau's has a warm, cozy atmosphere while also feeling elevated/upscale. Would return and definitely a nice restaurant to visit! read more

Maybe my single worst dining experience ever. I drove my widower father up to my sister's home because he wanted to have a family meeting over lunch; he wanted to tell us he had decided to remarry. My sister reccommended a place up the street, it was called Beau Jacques at the time, and we found a large and nice looking room which was empty at 3PM. The waiter, a man with a pony tail, approached us. We had decided on sandwiches and Dad went first. He asked for a tuna salad sandwich. The waiter immediately corrected him, it's not called tuna salad, a surprise to me as that's what I knew it as my entire life. And Dad wasn't exactly stupid, he had a very successful career with his UM law education. Anyway, they sorted out whatever it was properly called and then it became "do you want that on toast?" No, no toast thank you. For myself I ordered ham on rye. Did I want it on toast? No, no toast. I forget what my sister ordered but again he pushed the toast. Nobody wanted toast. When my order arrived I don't remember what he put down but it wasn't ham. But it WAS on toast. I corrected the waiter who apologized but said "you did specifically say you wanted toast" before taking it away. Aaaargh!!! read more

What a great restaurant! Chic but not pretentious; ambiance is comfortable but neat. Upscale casual, where jeans and a nice blouse are just right. The beer selection leaves a lot to be desired, but the menu is great and has plenty of gluten free options. The gluten free chocolate mousse cake was AMAZING. I am just embarking on my gluten free journey and this cake made me feel that there is hope that I can still find a decent dessert despite being gluten free! Hurray! One lingering question is, why the book gallery with the inaccessible books? I am not a fan as using books solely as decor, but hey, it does look pretty cool! Service was great. Looking for a good neighborhood place to relax for a burger and more; a place that has a cool vibe, friendly service and a nice Happy Hour menu? We were and Beau's is right down the street from our hood. I'm not sure why we've passed it by so many times without stopping. We stopped in this late afternoon, at about 4ish. What a nice surprise! Nice bar, some nice high top tables near the open (glass) kitchen...very clean kitchen and fun to watch the chefs do their thing. The brussel sprouts are amazing as are the sliders. Next time, I'll try the steak tips. The fries are wide and thin! And crispy. Delicious! So much to choose from and something for everyone. The dinner menu has even more. Generous portions. Jennifer, our server, took good care of us. We'll be back. Loved the pineapple vodka over ice. Nice to have found a comfortable place to dine, close to home. read more

This restaurant had so many tasty dishes, was lucky to come with a big group and try lots of different appetizers. The restaurant is a little expensive but the quality of food warrants the price. Our server Tina was very personable, attentive and quick, she did a good job serving a large group (10). There is a lot of space so this is a good place for large parties. There is ample parking outside and it is easy to get to. I ordered the beaus salad with salmon and was surprised how well cooked & seasoned it was for an addition to my salad. It had dates, goat cheese, Bibb lettuce, candied pecans and a sweet poppyseed dressing (in addition to lots of other little tasty bits of veggies). I love the idea or the build your own salad but the beaus seemed to have better stuff. We also got the burrata with tomatoes, pesto and sourdough. I could have licked that bowl clean, the pesto sauce was so delicious. We also got the Cesar brussel sprouts and those were to die for- they were fried but the vinegar taste of the dressing made this really unique and addicting. The crab cakes and hummus/lamb dishes were good but I think the others we got were better. read more

This was our go to local restaurant for years. We loved it and went nearly once a week. Starting about a year ago it has gone downhill and become worse and worse on every metric - service, food quality, bartenders and drinks, and ambiance. Our last bar experience was kitchen nightmare worthy. The bartender held the bottom of a ladder and started moving things in the bar area. Then, without washing her hands, she began making drinks. It was both shocking and disgusting. She grabbed the drinks and fruit with her filthy hands and then served them. Someone needs to call Gordon Ramsay. Then this week tried it for lunch, and they ran out of half the foods we ordered saying "it was really busy last night." Sad, but Beau's is now a no go for us. read more

I have usually offered nothing but wonderful reviews for Beau's, but today's service was unacceptable. We went to Beaus on Father's Day. One of my favorite dishes is the Baked French Toast, it's delicious! It's made from a Brioche bread and has a bread pudding consistency. It's thick, little sticky, rich and has a Carmel sauce with apples and pecans on top. Delicious. I had my husband order it because it's special and I love it so much. When it came I was so confused that I asked if he somehow ordered something else. I asked the waiter if I were crazy! Surprisingly the waiter said they ran out of what I ordered, so they replaced it with plain French toast! He was honest, but who does that to their customers? I guess that's where Beaus is right now. To make matters worse he flew by our table and said he took care of it. How nice of them (not) they took 50% off the bill, for something I didn't order. They didn't give me an option of choosing something else, nor did they formally apologize either. I guess this is where we are with some restaurants today; they have stopped caring. However, I am curious who made that decision to bait and switch? Its imperative to note that they don't have another French toast on the menu. It was frankly thin wheat bread cut in triangles, not even the thick Texas toast kind. We're they hoping we didn't know it was a different dish? After all, the one on the menu comes with apples, pecans and Carmel. This rendition had none of that so how do you not notice. It's sad to write this because they have good food. I am giving two stars because my dish was good, and they have been very good before this. Unfortunately, there are so many other places to go. They won't see me for awhile. They are definitely on an extensive timeout. read more

Beau's Grillery in Bloomfield is a must-try. The atmosphere is elegant, making it feel like you're truly dining out in style. The service is excellent -- attentive without being overbearing. They're always around when you need them, but never hovering. But the food is the star of the show, as it should be. My favorite is the Beau's Burger -- it's worth every penny. The meat quality is outstanding, full of flavor, always juicy, and consistently cooked exactly how you ask for it. I always get the zip sauce with it, which really completes the burger and takes it to the next level. The reason I'm giving this place 4 stars instead of 5 is the drinks. The cocktails just aren't where they need to be, especially when you're paying $17 each. The flavors are unbalanced and honestly not very enjoyable. Their beer selection is also pretty limited -- which would be fine if the cocktails made up for it, but they don't. At this price point, the drinks just don't deliver. The exception is the wine -- you really can't go wrong there. Other than the drinks, the food truly stands out. I'd also recommend the Brussels sprouts, the loaded Caesar, the salmon -- and of course, the burger. Honestly, you can't go wrong with the menu. If you're on the fence about trying it -- just go. Worst dining experience of my life. 40 mins to be seen in a place with maybe 15-20 tables and only half full. Not to mention a surprising amount of staff when it's hard to keep folks around in the restaurant industry. Then another 25 for the wrong drinks. Server was a no call, no show. So, they pulled Ron from the other side of the room another 20 minutes later (who was the only good thing about this place). Even after his warning, food came out underdone. Got sick. Ruined a birthday. Spoke to GM who talked in circles about 1 person of the 65 a day that orders the salmon getting sick is unlikely. All it takes is 1 and you should be talking to the back to make sure it doesn't happen again. Which is all I wanted. But he just tried to discount the fact the food poisoning didn't occur and tried to cram a gift card down my throat. One that I finally accepted because he wouldn't get off the phone. This was May. It's now October and I haven't received it. Not that I'd go back for any amount of money. I was going to give it to Ron for being so kind in such an awful place. If I wanted to get sick, waste $200, and 3 hours of my life. I'd go lick doorknobs at a hospital and light $200 on fire. This place is horrible. read more

Many in my Meetup group had been here before and were happy to be there for a a Christmas Eve dinner. Even with a packed house, service was good. Menu had enough choices of meat, fish, and salads. My steak and broccoli was good there and warmed up the next day. But the cookies were just average. Noice level wasn't bad for the amount of dinners. Lots of parking in the back. I'm still puzzled as to how I missed this restaurant given that I am always on the lookout for new places to try when I'm in this neighborhood, which is often enough. It was a recent Yelp "Review of the Day" that alerted me to the restaurant and the numerous Yelp and Google photos that prompted the visit. I had a small breakfast so when lunchtime rolled around and then passed, I was more than starving by the time I pulled into the relatively large parking lot. It is located on W Maple, across the road from Nino Salvaggio's, as a reference point. Since brunch had slowed down, there were numerous open tables and I was able to grab one near a window. I loved the overall design of the restaurant - an open space where the perimeter was lined with comfy, leather banquette seating. Mirrors adorn walls, reflecting the light streaming through the windows on many sides of the airy restaurant. It had a brasserie vibe. The server suggested the popular Lox Benedict and the Buttermilk Waffle - both of which sounded good. However, the Brunch Burger was calling my name. Who can resist a bacon slab and egg-topped burger? Yum. It typically comes with house-made chips but I subbed in sweet potato fries (extra). The house-grind burger, medium rare, was delicious. The egg yolk flowed onto the plate, great for dipping, and the thinly-sliced pickles added to the overall flavor. Despite my hunger, the burger was so large that I could only finish half. I loved the sweet potato fries but when I heard other guests raving about the chips, I wondered whether I made the right choice. I'll need to return to try. Service was fantastic. From the hostess to the server, from the manager who stopped by to chat with all the guests to the workers that cleaned the windows, everyone was beyond friendly and helpful. read more

Good ordered: Chicken Club, Black + Bleu Burger, Beau's burger, Crispy Brussel Sprouts and Garlic Wings. All of the food was delicious. The sandwiches/burger come standard with in house made kettle chips. These chips are the TRUTH (two thumbs up). The ambiance is very nice. Nice spot off Maple road. They have a big interior dining area and a front patio area available as well. Our waiter, Brendan seems nice and attentive. We are seated at a half booth in the back, we are all spaced out at a good distance. All staff are wearing masks and they are cleaning tables off between patrons. All of our paper menus go straight to the recycling bin by the designated cleaning table in the main dining area too. The Brussel sprouts smell quite good at the other tables, seems like a popular item Brunch and build your own skillet is Saturday and Sundays only. We started off with the jumbo lump crab cakes, loaded Caesar with rotisserie turkey and the base $14 build my own salad with romaine, spinach, goat cheese, cukes, red onions, beets, carrots, tomato, quinoa, radish, slivered almonds, avocado ($1), rotisserie turkey ($6.50). The crab cakes takes a bit to come out, definitely could smell the crab and seafood stench even before it was placed onto our table. Plating was a bit sloppy since there's visible juice oozing all over the plate. The crab cakes are nicely crab filled and yummy. The sauce isn't bad, a bit bland. The build your own and loaded salads were a decent size. $1 for the avocado is about 1/4 or less of the full avocado. Is it me but shouldn't my chopped salad have come with the balsamic dressing on it? I had to ask for the dressing since it came out bone dry. Maybe tossed needs to be an option for the salad menu? Dave came out and checked up on us, he seems warm and friendly too. They charged us for soda water or maybe the lime today, $3 a piece, seems rather unnecessary, makes me wonder what they would have charged for the bottled sparkling water. Dave caught up with us after we finished and asked how our visit was. I told him I enjoyed the build my own salad, but they should have a selection for tossed since my chopped salad didn't come with my dressing. I also suggested that patrons should in the future be informed for club soda from the tap as well. I can see why Dave is the manager, he has amiable and warm personality. The food was good, but the slight misses with the sans dressing and soda charge and the lack luster sauce for the crab cakes brought the stars down. The service here is stellar. read more

I'm an easy going guy who understands the food biz. I'll give places more chances than most. Everyone has bad days. I went to beaus 3 times and it wasn't the charm. I found myself staring at the menu forever trying to choose. I'm a big advocate of small menus done right. Id rather have 15 choices all done to perfection rather than a huge menu that's all over the place and done mediocre. I kept flipping the menu to find more stuff because nothing sounded really good. On my first trip I settled on the house salad with grilled chicken. Honest to goodness that must have been one small chicken breast. Bacon as stated on the menu? Nowhere to be found. When the waitress came by I told her what was going on. I got nothing but "oh my, that's strange." For the price, I was super disappointed. The next two trips I'm sorry but I won't even get into it. Just not cool. No value here. Drinks were outrageously priced. I could almost buy a fifth of alcohol for the price of one or two cocktails. Not looking for a cheap meal. Just looking to get what I pay for. It's a great location with huge potential. What a waste. I liked it better when it was beau jacks. Even with their super tired ass menu. This place reminds me of the owners other places. Social, mex, etc. Very nice decor and pleasant atmosphere but super mediocre over priced food. Crispy fried Brussel sprouts can only be so good and take you so far. I've been here before but who knew how perfect their patio would be during the summer of Corona! And honestly, they've always had the best service! (And I mean that! We left a $20 on a $70 tab.. the guy was so patient, he showed my mom how to scan for the menu on her phone) I started with a Cosmo.. their drinks are strong so you'll only need one but on a warm and lazy day, their sangria with peaches is amazing.. so I had that too. We both ordered from the make your own salad menu, (paper and pencil, check the boxes), which is such a great deal for lunch. There are eclectic choices for your salad: grilled jalapeños, roasted cauliflower,pe pitas, goat cheese, etc. and they'll chop the whole thing too. Beau's was also selling no-contact fruit and veg boxes during the height of the pandemic scare and taking care of their community. My parents were able to get fresh produce when it was impossible to get a pick up or delivery at the grocery stores. It's really important to keep them going now. read more

No omelet station, carving station, food on burners was cold even though on burners, meats were dry including mahi mahi. I have eaten here before and it felt like they were skimping and cutting corners. Food felt like there was new Chef or something. I met up with some friends at Beau's Grillery recently and it was my first visit to the restaurant. It was pleasant to happen upon the live music during our dinner on a Thursday night. I decided to try the Rotisserie Half Chicken with sweet potato fries and a starter of the tomato basil soup. The server suggested adding soup or salad to the meal so I assumed this meant a cup but no, it was a full price bowl. The soup was ok but not worth $7 or 8, and I didn't want that much food anyway. The rotisserie chicken was delicious, as were the sweet potato fries. The chicken was very moist throughout. I would definitely be inclined to order it again, but this item like many others on the menu is quite pricey. My friends were happy with their meal choices as well - French Dip and Whitefish. We also split an order of the fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies for dessert. These were not that good and a little over baked. The service was good but the food took quite a while to come out, which was ok since I was catching up with friends. If I came with my family, I think we would have become impatient. So, on the whole, Beau's Grillery seemed to be a nice place for a date or meetup with friends, but a little too pricey and time consuming for a regular family dinner. read more
