Packed and loud. Service was slow but friendly. Food was just meh. It was OK. We had the steak frites and you can't really mess that up - oh wait, you can by having a less than quality piece of meat. The carrot tacos.... We laughed when they came out. You require another dish, don't just order it and think your hunger will be satisfied. Steak tacos OK. Fries were the best part. It's expense, the drinks really expense and on the small side. One bathroom stall for men and one for women. There was always a line. I don't understand why they are not unisex bathrooms to begin with but using the restroom was a problem. We were always on the lookout for when the line was empty or down to at least one person. The good part is that it's next door to a nightclub where we danced the night away.

We made a reservation on a Tuesday evening but it wasn't necessary. There were only 4 people sitting at the bar when we walked in at 5:15pm. I'm not sure why because the vibe is chill, music is on point, food is very good and they have happy hour from 4-6 Tuesday thru Friday.

Took me a while, but finally made it to Nine last night with my wife and some friends. Ambiance is cool -- not quite "fancy" but a step up from your usual sports bar kinda place. The bar area is beautiful. Noise level is loud enough that you can have a private conversation, but no so loud that you have to shout at people at your table (a complaint I have about a lot of "open ceiling" kinda bars). I tried two cocktails: Stay Lit and Spill the Tea. Both were good, though not great. Food was yummy! We shared the spicy Greek feta dip, Korean wings, steak frites, and penne ragu, and I liked everything. My only two complaints are that the wine list is just meh, and the service is quite slow. There were a couple of times when we asked for another minute to look at a menu, and then our server disappeared for 10-15 minutes at a time. Food came out reasonably fast, but cocktails took a long time even after being ordered. I'll likely visit again because the food and drinks are good, but if the slow service remains, I'd probably not give it a third shot.

Came here for drinks with a friend after dinner down the street and the vibe was so cute!! Lots of seating when we got there and decorations for the holidays. Definitely a great spot for a girl's night or to grab drinks with family and friends. Our waitress was very attentive and offered us suggestions on the menu. We both got the espresso martini which was delicious! I love espresso and the hint of vanilla made it really good. I would definitely come back next time that I'm in the area, and bring a group.

Nine Kitchen and Bar is easily one of my favorite spots. Chic, beautiful, and effortlessly stylish, it's the kind of place that nails both the vibe and the menu. The service is always on point, and now that they've added brunch? Game changer. The Fish and Grits is my absolute favorite--perfectly seasoned fish and creamy, flavorful grits that I could eat every day. The French Toast Sandwich is pure indulgence--more than enough to share, though trust me, you won't want to. Their omelettes are spot-on, the drinks are just as good, and it all comes together in a space you'll want to linger in.

We went for a quick drink and snack during happy hour! The cocktails were excellent - well balanced & delicious! I had the Stay Lit and hubby had the Historic OF. We would totally come back for these. We ordered the steak tacos, I would say the beef was a bit too chewy. I would recommend they cut the pieces down much smaller but they were alright and had flavor. If it wasn't happy hour, I think I would try something else. We didn't try any other food but I noticed others all ordered the fries and I would definitely like to try some other dishes next time. The bar is really nice, a highlight of the bar/restaurant but they have tables and booths. The service was excellent and all the staff were very attentive and friendly. Nine is located on Woodward (across from The Fly Trap if you're familiar with Ferndale). There is paid street parking or a lot in the back. Ferndale makes it easy to pay for parking because you can text or download the app (think it was $1.80/hour). Great place to check out in Ferndale!

This place recently opened up but it looks like they already got their stuff together! Open, clean, brightly lit and nicely decorated - is the first impression. Attentive, friendly and helpful wait staff and a manager - is the second impression. Couple things - I wish they had some egg dishes on the menu for a weekend brunch. Menu is not very big. However, there are options to pick from. We came with a larger group and overall opinion was that food is good and so are the drinks. I ordered steak tacos and, unfortunately, meat was on a tougher, chewy side. But flavor was good. Bang bang shrimp and wings were good as well. I have to say that they do have good coffee! And, amazing fried orios dessert (I am not usually a fan of the cookies themselves but their dessert was worth the extra calories...I think ).

New place with bright and light decor, nice plush seating and great service. Drinks were good, except they dont do bloody mary's if you like that for brunch. Food was hit and miss: Wings were good a bit spicy Bang bang shrimp tasted watery for some reason Lamb meatballs were good a bit dry My friend ordered a salad and it was done incorrectly and since it was last dish to come out she decided to keep it. I believe this place can be very good once they work out certain aspects in the kitchen and in the service.

Two separate dinners out, two separate groups, and both wanted to go to Nine for dinner. Reservations for both nights were easy to make. The manager, Ryan, was super receptive and helpful with our big group. In between the first visit and these last two, we tried everything on the menu, and it was all delicious. Whether you go for drinks and apps to share with your group, dinners, etc., this place excels in all of it. The highlight of both nights was our waiter, Drew. He is seriously one of the best waiters I have ever had in any restaurant. He took care of our group of 13 like it was nothing last night, and our group of 5 today, all with a smile on his face, and such a positive vibe. This is our new favorite place!

What a delightful surprise walking into this place. It has been in the works for a while and it has been opened about 6 months now. The vibe is casual Elegance. Very comfortable and eclectic group of people gathered together under One roof for wonderful cocktails in a terrific meal. This place is great whether you are on a date or with a group of friends. They are very accommodating and well-versed in their menu.

I ordered a French 75 with Empress gin and the bang bang shrimp appetizer. This place is a cute vibe; it was my first time hearing of it and patronizing it. The staff were very nice and friendly! We were a large (8), last minute group and they got us seated about 10 minutes after arriving. Very expensive though! My bill was $47.00 for one drink and an appetizer. The bill included 20% gratuity for "large party ".

We stopped in for brunch one day. The space is open and air it's beautifully decorated. The food was good and large portions. The service was good too. The only thing in didn't like was that we were given 3 different cocktail menus. And when we ordered we were told sorry those cocktails are not available for brunch service... To me that seems absurd because are you telling me that you don't have the ingredients to make me a drink from the menu you would be using in just a few hours? It just seemed stupid to have 3 different menus for cocktails that you only use at certain times of the day.

Well let's see what the "Historic O.F." has to offer!! I'm going to push through despite the Luxardo

1st time and I will definitely return during the evening. Super cute vibe . It's well lit and bright enough to remain intimate enough for a date or with friends. My drink was tasty, I love a good old fashioned. My friends loved their drinks as well. I got a flatbread pizza and wings both very tasty. I loved the play list. I love a good happy hour. Service was excellent provided by Ms.Symone.. I'm going to try brunch next.

Walking in, the black and gold nuances strike you immediately and sitting at the bar, watching each drink being made is really quite fun. Their cocktail menu is absolutely spectacular. What a wide range of choices with all the major types of liquor available in one form or another. My bartender developed the program and she was super knowledgeable about it. I didn't try any of the food, so I can't comment on that, but for a pre or post dinner cocktail, I can definitely say this was an awesome spot to come out to.

As we followed our greeter to our table I kept screaming in my mind "no no no no no not that table no!" and she sat us at a table in full blasting sun. Nevermind the fact that there was a whole shaded section in the back part of the patio area. The rest of my group said it was fine and a beam of sun slowly bore a hole through my chest. Drink orders were up. I ordered a fabulous cross between a Moscow Mule and a Mojito. A+++ for the drinks. Mine was loaded with fresh mint from their garden. Same grade for our waitress who explained the drinks in detail and ended with "ugh- are you sure you want to sit at this table straight in the sun?" The other two said it was fine. I was ready to move, but was out voted. She continued to check in regularly and brought extra water. Most items on the menu were hot. I considered the fish, but we all landed on appetizers and we would just bounce from place to place for bites and drinks. We ordered the charcuterie board and the lavender lemon whip with bread and cucumbers for the 3 of us. The charcuterie board was the large version and had minimal offerings. It wasn't full and pretty. It was little piles of each thing on a board. This one definitely wasn't making it into Better Homes and Gardens magazine. There was a little pile of mixed nuts, a little pile of lose green grapes, a little pile of lose red grapes - not all grapes pristine or large and none were on the vine. There were 3 little piles of cubed cheese and 2 types of sliced sausage and sliced pepperoni. There were 8 crackers that were wheat thin size. This matters because we had some onion jam on the board and a nice serving of mustard. There really wasn't anything to put them on except for the 8 little crackers. That part was weird. These weren't elevated offerings. I could have picked up any of these at Walmart. They were not elevated quality either. We also got a lavender lemon infused whip which was their answer to tzatziki sauce. It was excellent but again, we were given so much of the sauce without a bunch to put it on. The cucumbers were sliced lengthways and there was a lovely bread that tasted like sourdough. There was 6 pieces of bread, and these were not particularly large pieces. A lot more would have been needed to use all of the sauce they gave. The proportions were off. All together the bill was over $100 for the 3 drinks and appetizers. If I ever did go back I won't order food based on what I experienced. There are too many other great options within walking distance.

We entered through the back entrance and were immediately greeted with a warm welcome. The sandwich was absolutely incredible--hands down the best crispy chicken club I've ever had. The chicken was perfectly crispy, and the combination of flavors was outstanding. I also stole a few bites of my wife's salad and was pleasantly surprised by the yellow beets. I'd only ever had red beets before, and both varieties were prepared beautifully. The salmon was cooked to perfection and paired wonderfully with the fresh ingredients.
