My friends and I meet monthly for lunch. Today we chose Republica for our lunch spot and had the best time. We ordered salads, which were very fresh, delicious and plentiful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is warm and inviting[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and the waitress was friendly and accommodating. We stayed for quite a long time but didn't feel rushed to leave by the staff. We will definitely return.

You know how you ride by a place all the time and you say to yourself, that looks cool, I'd like to try it there, but you never do. Well, they've been open since 2013 and we finally paid a visit to Republica! It was absolutely delicious from start to finish. We started out with three different appetizers, the feta fries, shrimp, and a sausage dish. All three were unique and delicious. I can't even say I have a favorite because they were all so good. We also tried a number of cocktails, including the house infused vodka, which was excellent!! The salads and burgers were fresh and flavorful. I cannot wait to go back. Highly recommend!!!

Visiting my sister in Detroit and discovered Republica in my search for a gastropub with healthy food choices with good microbrews on tap. This was my top pick. I had a beet burger and it was yummy. The beer was good too, an IPA. I wanted to get the 10th anniversary roasted cauliflower but we were full.. Great place, I'll go back when I visit again. Thanks for making things for health nuts like me. .

I popped in Republica for the first time ever. It's was Lent and lunch time so I went with the Greek salad and tomato soup. The soup was yummy. It tasted homemade and a lot like my marinara sauce. I liked the dressing for the salad as well and I'm quite particular about dressing. The waitress was sweet as pie too! Solid 4 stars. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's not a large space so plan for that.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cute place off of Coolidge in Berkley.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a wide selection on their menu from shareables to pasta to burgers to soup and salad. Decided to try out the roasted beet and arugula salad. I added salmon for protein and let me tell you, it was delicious! The salmon was cooked perfectly, the arugula has a nice peppery bite with the sweet balsamic vinaigrette and tangy blue cheese crumbles. The wait staff were super friendly and attentive.

Another place too popular for its own good and tries too hard to be trendy for those of us out of their normal demographics and have eaten at much better places for over 30 years. Heard lots of good things and so have my dinning group. Hardy enough parking for the business but I got a place on the street. Very full and even with reservations had to wait. Too noisy to hear people at the other end of table. We started with brussel sprouts appetizer and chip and dip appetizer. Both had stuff left which is not normal for our group. Both not normal served at other places. I decided to try something different since you don't find a sloppy joes on most menu. I was warned by the waitress that the tots were different with cheese in them. Looked like hush puppies but tasted AWFUL even covered in catsup. The joe left an after taste that was not pleasant. I took part of them home but threw them away. The meatloaf was delicious I was told and the fish not bad but the salad was just as much as a "winner" like my choice. Service was what you expect from a place this busy. I don't plan to come back as part of my group.

This was a special event dinner for us. With the knowledgeable guidance of our awesome server, we started with a specially made Valentine vodka martini. We moved on to a fantastic garlic roasted cauliflower with a lovely walnut butter. Our entrees were well proportioned, super fresh, heavenly taste explosions. We ordered the salmon and the shrimp entrees and could not have been happier. Super delish!!! We saved room for a warm slice of cherry pie ala mode. A final blessing of this heavenly meal, the owner graced us with a lagniappe taste of two spirited balms, one honey and one clove. Thank you for a beautiful experience. And with special cheers to mom!

First off, service was great. Attentive and quick. We sat on the patio, which had great shade and a nice breeze. We ordered the fried green beans, Veggie Wedgie salad, beet burger, mint limeade, and a side of mac and cheese. The green beans and mint limeade were good, and toddler-approved. But after that, the food is a bit disappointing. The wedge salad seemed super overpriced for what it was and the beet burger tasted like nothing. I was excited for a bright pink earthy burger with delicious feta topping, but the burger was just brown mush. I could barely taste the beet and the sauce had very little feta. The mac and cheese was fine, but nothing special. I'm not sure we would go back for anything more than drinks and apps.

They were just opening up, but they let us sit at the bar while they got the restaurant ready for dinner. We all got drinks at the bar. I got The Final Rose drink. its's very pretty and not too strong. After sipping on the drinks, the host brought us to our table. Chris was our server that day. He was super friendly and answered all of our questions regarding the menu. Here's what we got: - Michigan lamb ragu (his) - Lobster and shrimp pad thai (mine) - Crab and shrimp cakes (share) - clam chowder (share) His family got some of the same items, but I can't remember the different items they got. The overall consensus though was that everything tasted fantastic. Coming from the Bay Area, I have high expectations when it comes to Asian food, so I was pleasantly surprised by how great the pad thai tasted. The clam chowder was creamy and delightful. The crab cakes were the perfect size and not teeny tiny. The lamb ragu was very well done also and my husband is a big fan of lamb so he really enjoyed his meal. Since we were there early, it was quiet which was nice. Would definitely return in the future the next time I am in Michigan.

A hostess who takes your money and gives you a bracelet, automated beer, and you use your phone to order from the kitchen, they text you and you go get your food. The host is in the front said at the end of 32 oz is your bracelet will not work and you need to come up and see me to reset it. The people working here were so friendly and personable with literally everyone that walked in the door. The service was top notch. We had chicken tacos. They were so good and so fresh, I loved the sauce on top. Honestly, I am not sure if it was cheese or a sour cream type mixture, but it was creamy and flavorful. I also had the torta which was absolutely incredible. It had the same chicken as the taco. The chicken was slow cooked or stewed and shredded and was so flavorful, like a homecooked chef's kiss. The bread was fresh. I loved the sauce poured over it, making it a dipped and soaked sandwich. The carrots and cilantro, sliced radishes and sliced fresh jalapenos added a level of crunch, freshness and deeper flavor profile. I would want to get this every time. We also tried their delicious "curly" fries, which were like julienned shoestring fries fired fresh. It seemed like every dish was made fresh and right in front of you. So worth it, plus the prices are great. I would love to try their fried chicken plate, their breakfast sandwiches, and their other desserts. We talked to the man behind the counter who seemed like maybe a manager. He gave us their famous chocolate chip cookie to try. It was fresh baked and delicious. I would love to take home more of those. It looked so simple but was better than many bakeries specializing in cookies alone. He also gave us an second order of fries to take home with my leftovers, just top notch kindness and service. This man told us that OWL owns other restaurants and we would probably like them. I am open to trying more of their group but I do want to return here.
