It's attached to the escape bowling alley. It's a Cool sounding name for this place. The door to the right says it's the entrance, however, it's definitely locked. You have to enter from the escape bowling door, which is to the left. Paula is waiting on us today. She's nice, friendly and warm too. She will give you great service and is always open to comments. They have a limited menu until more people start coming here, bummer, I wanted the flamin Cheetos chicken sandwich, not on this menu. We decided to just eat some nachos with chicken and then move on from here for our main meal elsewhere. Their chef has only been here a few months. The menu could definitely add some more GF and vegetarian options and maybe some salads with something other than iceberg too. The shareable plates were brought to us. Mine was dirty with something crusted on it. I asked for another replacement. Even though it's in a bowling alley, it's an artisan restaurant. Nothing is frozen and everything is main in house. They even make their own corn chips, which were quite fresh and super crunchy too. The nachos were not warm or hot, the queso was drizzled on top. It actually tasted good, wouldn't have expected it at a bowling alley or escape room restaurant at all. The corn chips are nice and crispy, even after the drizzle. This was such a unique experience. This is the attached restaurant/bar to the Troy Lanes bowling alley, an arcade and I think some sort of escape room. Came here with little man, which was probably a bad idea because all he wanted to do was play in the arcade and/or bowl. Being a school night, this was vetoed by senior management (I'm referring to myself if you didn't pick up on it). The reason I pushed him towards this was there was an Oddside Beers tap take over and I wanted to try it (loved Frank's Dank Juice by the way). That's neither here nor there though. Junior ordered the peanut butter and jelly sliders and I had the calimari. I was worried that he wouldn't like it because you know, pb&j and burger but he practically swallowed it whole. Not going to lie, I took a bite and it was spectacular. The meat was perfectly cooked, and the pb&j meshed nicely with it. Quite surprising but a nice surprise for a change. I noticed in some of the other reviews the service got beat up a little but both bartenders I had were excellent. Also I would like to say, this place might have one of the best happy hours out there. It runs from 3-7 and half off appetizers and all kinds of drink specials. Definitely coming back for that when I'm in the area. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because I never give 5 on the first visit. I have been going here regularly with my son and grown into this joint. They have very good beer menu and serve food far better and more adventurous than you would expect in a bowling alley. Smore fries, a waffle burgers, flaming cheetos crusted chicken sandwiches, etc. They also have a solid kiss menu with good portion sizes. My only gripe is the service can be spotty at times, but part of that has to be related to the lack of patrons. read more

I've eaten here at least four times and continue to be surprised. Don't be thrown off that it's located within a bowling alley. This is one of Troy's top restaurants yet probably one of its least known. They have a professionally trained chef who has put together a great menu. There's a lot to choose from on the menu, especially if you're a foodie. My favorite is the steak sandwich served open face with zip sauce. But instead of fries, get the veggies-- you'll be impressed. They sous vide a lot of their food. They also have an ever changing craft beer list including many Michigan beers. They have a nice lineup of fancy sliders, pizza and salads. You do notice the bowling alley noise at first but then it blends in. read more

Finally tried this out. This is an Entertainment Destination. Great variety of beers in draught, can or bottle. Loved their escape hamburger, huge proportion cooked to perfection. Based on the other Yelp posts, and our server, my underwhelming steak sandwich was an unusual occurrence. I wish for 2 things to happen before my next visit, dining room TOO LOUD, we were screaming to be heard, Need to design sound absorbers. 2nd is add soup to the menu. This is my new fave! The food was all homemade and different from the usual boring menu. The place is very, very clean. All new decor. I will continue to come and sit at the bar with my favorite bartender Paula who is always so happy and smiling. Get the Nachos for sure! They have the best nachos I've ever had. The manager Jason came over and was really nice too. I only have one complaint. The keno needs moved to the bar area and I'd probably stay longer. They were out of shrimp and sweet potato fries... which we thought was a complete bust at first. But our waitress and the manager completely accommodated us and dinner ended up being amazing. They have a fun menu with some interesting spins on traditional bar fare such as a burger topped with a fried egg and served between breakfast waffles, Philly cheesesteak fries, and ahi tuna sliders served on bao buns. They also have calamari, tacos, Cuban sandwich, pizza and quesadillas. Our table ordered a bunch of appetizers and shared them. The fried cauliflower, wings and Philly cheesesteak fries were all very tasty. They have a decent craft beer selection as well with faves from Rogue, Oddside, Griffin Claw, Old Nation and more. They also offer a happy hour Monday through Friday, from 3-7 pm with half off appetizers, $4 short craft drafts, $3 brand liquors and domestics, and half off wine. Thursday they have burger and brew day, $12 for a burger, side and 24 oz domestic beer. They also offer specials on beer on Monday night with $2 Michigan craft beers. When we were there, they were doing a Beat the Brewer laser tag event so reps from breweries were giving out brewery swag such as stickers, temporary tattoos and B. Nektar even gave us $10 gift certificates. Pretty cool place. There is a large bowling alley connected that does glow bowl on certain nights and they also had an arcade kind of like Dave and Busters and laser tag. I played laser tag and it was a lot of fun. You have to put both hands on the gun for it to work and everyone has colors for their team but your color can change in the middle of the game which was interesting. Really fun place! Visited for my second time this past weekend. My first visit was for Harry Potter Trivia and left with a positive impression. The food was pretty good. I've had pizza, cheese bread, a burger, and nachos. Pizza and Cheese bread were average, but not bad. The burger was pretty tasty, but wasn't a fan of the arugula on it. No big deal though, I just took it off. The tater tots that came with it were tasty. Love finding those on a menu. The nachos were kind of surprising. They put banana peppers on them, which at first was a little weird sounding, but they were definitely on to something! If you order nachos, quesadilla, or tacos, I should warn, the head chef doesn't believe in sour cream and will not carry it. Kind of a bummer, but dude, it's a bowling alley restaurant. We had won the trivia night, which the prize was 1 hour of bowling on a VIP lane. Most places give gift cards ($50+), but it was kind of neat to have comped bowling as a prize. However, shoe rental was not included, so for 6 of us it was still another $30 in rentals. TL;DR: Pretty good food. Great craft beer selection. Fun game atmosphere. I'll visit again! read more

I've been here twice for brunch and I liked it. They have a small brunch menu but the food on it is good! The breakfast burrito and the waffle sandwich are incredible, and large enough for two meals. The waffle burger has an amazing and unique blend of ingredients, and comes with a side dish! Unfortunately the food is pricey, but I love the bottomless mimosas!! Both times I've been in there it's been pretty quiet so service was fast, since I was at one of only three full tables during the first visit and at the only full table in the second visit. It's attached to a bowling alley, arcade, and laser tag place. It would definitely make for a fun outing with friends! My friends want to go back for sure. read more

My husband and I used to go to Troy lanes, and we thought we'd give it a try to this place now remodeled. We went there for brunch. Our server who never introduced himself, either was new and inexperienced or he was just a dishwasher multitasking because he didn't know anything about the brunch items. The communication was awkward. Coffe took too long to come out, and when asked for a refill server who had disappeared had to go fill our cups in the back instead of bringing the coffee pot out. Food took forever to come out. Omelets were dry and no butter or jelly on the table for the toast. The syrup for the pancakes was very little but since the server was hard to find we didn't bother ask for more. This place is very expensive for the food and service they provide. Such a terrible first and last experience! Don't recommend. Going back to square lake diner where they make you feel home! read more

We unfortunately had an awful experience with our service this past Saturday at Eats & Crafts and wouldn't ever go back to sit at the restaurant & eat here. I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the food was good and quick once ordered, and, I don't think it was the fault of the bartenders either. Each drink ordered took at least 25 minutes to make it to our table, in 2 hours three of us had 2 beers, one had just one and would have ordered another but waitress just never came back. My husband even ordered his second beer with the meal given the wait, and guess what, they literally came out at the same time. Food was quick once our order was taken (which took a very long time), but I had paid extra to have tater tots instead of fries, which took 40 minutes to get to me (even with the server acknowledging they were coming twice). I didn't get them until a different waitress actually stopped by to check on us and could tell we were not happy (she also got my 2nd beer I had been waiting 20 minutes on in less than 5). Once we went bowling, the waitress that helped us at the bowling table had beers to us in 5 minutes and it was 5 times as busy there as it was in the restaurant. Our service was blamed on the fact that "they got slammed all at once" which is such an annoyance to me; it was half full, it was 5:30-6:00 on a Saturday night. If you can't keep up with a half full restaurant on a Saturday evening, maybe a restaurant shouldn't exist here, just have bowling. Also, don't complain to your customers who just took 2 hours to get through a meal for 4. Like I said, I don't think the restaurant or bar was that overwhelmed, I think we had terrible service. But, several knew we were unhappy and I still even paid extra for the tater tots that took 40 minutes (it wasn't even worth asking to take it off because I knew it would take 20 minutes and we were up against a bowling reservation and honestly just wan't to leave). We would return to bowl, but, I do not recommend eating at this restaurant. read more

I haven't taken the kids bowling in a while. 2 lanes 1 hour 6 shoe rentals = $75 I wouldn't bowl on lane 19 it sure seemed like every time a ball was sent down the lane that it would never go straight. Almost as if the lane was not level and there was a slope to send rain water away, In this case it was the bowling balls. The place looks great but if the kids using ramps couldn't get a strike and the ball kept veering off, how fun is that. No one was operating the laser tag so I scan the card machine on the outside for five credits. I go to the counter and ask someone to turn on the music and lights so the kids could play. A guy runs over and tells me they are short staffed (go figure). After the kids are done running around for 20 minutes I am told by another employee to please come to the counter to address the matter that we didn't pay for laser tag. There were no signs on the laser tag that stated you had to pay more money or where you even had to pay. I felt like I was treated like a carpet-baggier, and instructed that we need to pay more money because the reader we swiped was not for laser tag but another laser attraction next to it. I was hassled by three employees because no one knew what was happening at the laser tag section. If you don't have staff to run the attractions, don't turn them on. All in all spent $100 on a night out with the kids and would not go back. read more

Based on the reviews, this place seems like a good option for a night out. However, I am not sure if my experience was a fluke night or what. My team and I went here on a Friday night for dinner and bowling. After ordering food...it took OVER 2 HOURS for us to see a partial amount of our dinner orders. Meals came 2 at a time (again over the course of more than 2 hours) and a few of us never received our complete order. Also, they ran out of sides that were ordered and never bothered to say anything! We spent so much time waiting and waiting that we weren't even able to/nor did we want to give Eats and Crafts more business, we didn't bother to stay and bowl. Overall, I'm sure this establishment is not 100% this way all of the time, but based on me and my team's experience...I have a difficult time picturing any of us returning. read more

Had so much fun ! Bowling was great. Love the remodel. Nice atmosphere for family friendly activities. The drinks and food were very good. The queso fries were delicious! They used a delicious combination of flavors and the bacon on top was amazing. The video game area were you win tickets for prizes was fun also. The lighter weight bowling balls were in the back room probably for a kid party, but there could be more out in the floor for people to use. We were willing to share but more in the floor would be better. The remodel was very good and added to a fun atmosphere. We will definitely be back! read more

While they have improved the environment the staff is the same people that didn't care to wipe down the eating surfaces. If the food is good it doesn't matter if the facility is dirty. I want to give this place 5 stars because I've been coming here for years - kids birthdays, etc. - and the much needed renovations are great. VIP area is nice, food is tasty... but beer list is mediocre and they were out of many selections. Bar area needed to be wiped down - too soon for it to be sloppy. As far as tge bowling alley goes... I understand the need for kids activities but it'd be nice to bowl & drink after 7 or 8 pm without a bunch of strollers, crying children and kids running around like it's a playground. read more

I really want this place to do well. It is very close to home, has a great beer selection, and the quality of the food is wonderful. But..... Our recent experience was just...awful. We came for the trivia. Our service was terrible. There were 5 people at our table. 4 of us had major problems with our order. Whether it was food that didn't match the menu, or simply forgetting stuff, it was simply bad. Also, some of us would've ordered more than one beer during the 3 hours we were there. The universal sign for "hey, I'd like to give you some of my hard earned money for that over priced beer over there" is an empty glass. Eventually, someone came by and swiped all our empty glasses, but NEVER asked us if we'd like another. We wound up going to the bar to ask. Finally, the prices on the menu did not match the bill. 14oz beers were charged as 22oz. $6 was $7. Lots of small details missed added up to a very frustrating experience. I want to give it another another chance, but one of us at the table swears he won't come back. read more

Tonight I met my soulmate...it was a waffle burger. Don't let the bowling alley atmosphere scare you, the food here is AMAZING. The waffle burger was delicious, and something so intricate you'd expect it from a boujee Chicago restaurant. I had the side of cavatappi which looks plain but had yummy browned butter. My friends had the escape burger and tacos, both equally as delicious. Beer was cold, service was great. Disappointed to see it wasn't packed on a Saturday night, as this place is a diamond in the rough. We left miserably full and excited to return. read more

This time the place was nearly empty. Menu was a 1/4 the size and the craft beer had been replaced with coors light and mgd. The few remaining beers tasted off like the lines hadn't been cleaned. Went for Happy Hour on a Friday, 6/29/18, surprisingly not too crowded. The best part of the Happy Hour was our waiter, Austin. Very professional and attentive, he made it a nice experience. We had the Escape burger, which was very good, the Nacho's which were okay and the Philly Steak fries which were tasty and probably too big of an order. Can't believe I just wrote that. Excellent beer selection, good food and a great waiter. We'll be back. The only negative is that every time I've been there, I never see the barmaids/bartenders smile and have fun, kind of a sad group, glad we sat at a table. read more
