I have been going here regularly with my son and grown into this joint. They have very good beer menu and serve food far better and more adventurous than you would expect in a bowling alley. Smore fries, a waffle burgers, flaming cheetos crusted chicken sandwiches, etc. They also have a solid kiss menu with good portion sizes. My only gripe is the service can be spotty at times, but part of that has to be related to the lack of patrons.

I've eaten here at least four times and continue to be surprised. Don't be thrown off that it's located within a bowling alley. This is one of Troy's top restaurants yet probably one of its least known. They have a professionally trained chef who has put together a great menu. There's a lot to choose from on the menu, especially if you're a foodie. My favorite is the steak sandwich served open face with zip sauce. But instead of fries, get the veggies-- you'll be impressed. They sous vide a lot of their food. They also have an ever changing craft beer list including many Michigan beers. They have a nice lineup of fancy sliders, pizza and salads. You do notice the bowling alley noise at first but then it blends in.

Finally tried this out. This is an Entertainment Destination. Great variety of beers in draught, can or bottle. Loved their escape hamburger, huge proportion cooked to perfection. Based on the other Yelp posts, and our server, my underwhelming steak sandwich was an unusual occurrence. I wish for 2 things to happen before my next visit, dining room TOO LOUD, we were screaming to be heard, Need to design sound absorbers. 2nd is add soup to the menu. The bowling alley was really cool. Lots of lights, Good music. Then in the side room they were offering more entertainment, some sort of comedy that started at 9.pm. go check it out.

Very good food. The service is friendly. We decided to eat while we waited for lanes to open up to bowl. I'm glad we chose this because so far it's great. We started with the pretzels appetizer with the queso cheese to dip. It's very very good.

This is a must stop! The food menu has so many cool items on it!

This is my new fave! The food was all homemade and different from the usual boring menu. The place is very, very clean. All new decor. I will continue to come and sit at the bar with my favorite bartender Paula who is always so happy and smiling. Get the Nachos for sure! They have the best nachos I've ever had. The manager Jason came over and was really nice too. I only have one complaint. The keno needs moved to the bar area and I'd probably stay longer. I got the dessert to take home and it might be the best dessert ever. This has bowling and games for kids. Great atmosphere for everyone.

My friend and I didn't have the best experience during our first visit, but it was redeemed when we decided to give it a second try. Great service, good food and inviting atmosphere... Would definitely recommend checking it out if you're around the 19 and John R. area. Our waitress Demetria did a fabulous job as well! Oh, and, by the way, the beans are not vegetarian, if you were thinking of ordering from the "lent menu." ;-)

Eats and Crafts is pretty much a more upscale bar and grill in a bowling alley. They have a fun menu with some interesting spins on traditional bar fare such as a burger topped with a fried egg and served between breakfast waffles, Philly cheesesteak fries, and ahi tuna sliders served on bao buns. They also have calamari, tacos, Cuban sandwich, pizza and quesadillas. Our table ordered a bunch of appetizers and shared them. The fried cauliflower, wings and Philly cheesesteak fries were all very tasty. They have a decent craft beer selection as well with faves from Rogue, Oddside, Griffin Claw, Old Nation and more. They also offer a happy hour Monday through Friday, from 3-7 pm with half off appetizers, $4 short craft drafts, $3 brand liquors and domestics, and half off wine. Thursday they have burger and brew day, $12 for a burger, side and 24 oz domestic beer. They also offer specials on beer on Monday night with $2 Michigan craft beers. When we were there, they were doing a Beat the Brewer laser tag event so reps from breweries were giving out brewery swag such as stickers, temporary tattoos and B. Nektar even gave us $10 gift certificates. Pretty cool place. There is a large bowling alley connected that does glow bowl on certain nights and they also had an arcade kind of like Dave and Busters and laser tag. I played laser tag and it was a lot of fun. You have to put both hands on the gun for it to work and everyone has colors for their team but your color can change in the middle of the game which was interesting. Really fun place! Would be great for a date night or group outing like a birthday party. I'll definitely be back soon!

Brunch at Eats and Crafts! Breakfast burrito and waffle burger, yum!

Good food, good service. A great spot for a small gathering or birthday party as they have a nicely set up arcade.

This place has a really laid back vibe, and the wait staff were so nice! The waitress recommended the nachos so my husband and I split them. They were very good! I can always find something I like, but I may sample a couple that aren't my taste along the way, which is completely fine when a company is brewing what looks like 30 different things at once. A couple vegan options on the menu with some adjustments, many more for vegetarians. The food has always arrived fresh and hot, and correctly modified. Environment definitely leans toward a bar and sports bar atmosphere with occasionally loud tables celebrating. Music often overrides TV commentary if it's not a Michigan specific game. Requests for specific games on certain TVs was considered and honored- so easy to make adjustments for viewing comfort too.

What a terrific experience. Oysters. Radish salad. Wild boar kebabs. Lamb ravioli. Quail. Cabbage. One course after another had us looking at each other and saying, "I want to lick the plate." Our serving team was led by Rachel, who was outstanding. Everyone who brought a dish to the table was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely excited about the food. Even in a packed restaurant, they made us feel like we were the most important guests in the room. The décor is fascinating--eclectic, quirky, and full of personality. Nothing seems to match, yet somehow everything works perfectly together. The drinks were spectacular. They even had my favorite beer, Miller Genuine Draft (yes, I'm old school). And the bartender is a Knicks fan, which certainly didn't hurt. One final tip: visit the website and watch the video about the history of Mabel Gray before you go. It's a wonderful story and makes the experience even more meaningful. We'll be talking about this meal for a long time. Highly recommended.

The place is small and you can see the open kitchen pretty well. If i went back id ask for a table in the back so i could watch the kitchen the best. The food overall was spectacular, this must be the best restaurant in detroit. The radish carpaccio and the goat cheese bread were insane, so much flavor in every bite. All of the savory food was spectacular and the quality of the meats and the freshness of the veggies really shined through in every item. The service was top notch, every dish was well explained and my eating area was cleaned and silverware replaced whenever dirty. The speed of service was amazing, i eat quick and they brought my courses quickly while the group next to me was slower and they weren't rushed, clearly adjusted service for both our groups. I have two criticisms: 1. The chocolate cake dessert was lack luster and boring compared the rest of the menu. 2. I left hungry, the tasting menu was one entree or two smaller items short of the right amount of food. These criticisms are small and overall I had a spectacular experience. 4.7

The exterior and the interior are top-notch and it is definitely a place to dress incredibly nice and show off your skill in ordering bougie cocktails and high-end spirits. My bf, his mom, and I were treated to dinner here in June 2026 by my boyfriend's uncle, who lives a couple blocks away and goes here regularly. After deciding on just sticking with water for our drinks, we ordered the artisan garlic bread ($8) to split between the four of us. I must be a bread obsessive person because I LOVED this version of garlic bread - it is very different than the Texas Toast frozen brand you buy at the supermarkets, just FYI. The bread is super crusty and the sauce is barely garlic-y. I was stuck on ordering myself the maple seasoned sweet potato waffle fries ($9) no matter what, so to offset allllllll the calories I have already had earlier in the day (as well as with the garlic bread and fries), I ordered the Sicilian Caesar salad ($14) with blackened chicken added on ($12). For $26, this was one very basic chicken Caesar salad for how dang expensive it was. But I guess I was trying to be healthy in a gastropub, so that's on me. The others ordered fish and chips ($29), bangers and mash ($30), and the grilled salmon bowl ($32). I know that the prices are high to match the clientele in this high earning Michigan community, but I still think the prices are just all-around way too high. Perhaps the fish and chips alone was worth the price out of the four mains. I tasted the fish and it was perfectly fried and the portion of fish and fries were generous. By this point, we were full and skipped dessert although they had a nice selection on their menu. The service was professional and prompt, despite the place being packed. I didn't pay the bill, fortunately, but I don't think the mains are worth the price. If in the area, I would love to come back for a happy hour and get a cocktail and eat more waffle fries and artisan garlic bread! Perhaps on a day when I am carbo-loading haha.

They initially only gave me two of them. I had to ask for the other two and basically build it myself. Having said that, I loved the atmosphere and the food, once it was correct, was delicious! I had the BHP Crunchy Friatta (their take on a frittata). It was delicious, but those Hungarian peppers were SPICY!! I had the Strawberries & cream for dessert (from the brunch menu). They literally brought me a bowl of strawberries and cream, so I told the waiter it was supposed to have granola, which he didn't know. After he left to get me the granola, I remembered it was also supposed to have a raspberry compote type thing on it. He also didn't know that.
