Carrot cake
Joy A.

Cute place-remodeled from a fast food restaurant and looks upscale and modern. Our waitress was very attentive, bringing refills without being asked. The food all came out in a timely manner. We ordered entrées which came with either soup or salad, and both of them were delicious. I got the fillet which was cooked perfectly and came with a delicious vegetable medley. I upgraded to the risotto side, which was also delicious. My husband had the ribeye and he said it was delicious as well. We each got a dessert. I got the carrot cake which was humongous. When we are in the area We will definitely go back.

Beautiful restaurant! It's a great date night spot; not necessarily high end but more than just casual. We were out for our final meal of 2025. Tomato soup is delicious as are the sausage and peppers. Peppers had a hint of spice so I thought they were fantastic. The drinks were also very good; our waiter recommended a couple and we appreciated that. The Berkshire pork chop was my main course, it was recommended to be cooked medium well and I couldn't say if it would've been better any other way. It was seasoned well; came with a vegetable medley that was kind of bland but my wife's dish came with zip sauce so I just dunked it in there and all was right! My final bite of 2025 was of this amazing 8 layer carrot cake, it was awesome but I was unable to finish it. My first bite of 2026 might have also been that carrot cake, not sorry. This is a wonderful spot to try!

Came for brunch. Menu has interesting and yummy items! Inside is swanky with tall ceilings. Our waitress was not attentive. Asked for things and never got them. Had to remind her about them and she wasn't friendly. Food was cold. Classic Benedict - potatoes were great seasoned wise but cold. The egg was over cooked. The hollandaise didn't taste like anything. Fruit side was beautiful with the cut and all the different fruit. Couldn't believe the assortment, in a good way!

First time here, and a few bites/sips stood out, like the French onion soup and espresso martini. Chicken picatta was also pretty good and reasonably priced. It wasn't, however, one of the best restaurants I've ever been to or anything like that. It was a little less fancy than we thought, more of a nicer family place than somewhere to go for a first date, for example. Our server Melissa was VERY nice and attentive

Came for brunch. We were immediately greeted and seated. Our orders were taken quickly. Our waitress was nice. Food was great, well plated, with clean ingredients - your typical American brunch fare. Got the breakfast burrito, churizo bowl, French toast. All were well presented. Taste was great. Price point was fare. Did not make you feel it was too heavy. Ambiance is everything you'd expect from RH. Fancy. Decadent. Luxurious furniture in a dining environment- I'll take it! Ambiance was full score. Service full score. Food above average so overall is a five star.

Cute little light on the table, with a tiny poinsettia plant

A group of 6 of us met for dinner at the RH House. First of all, the ambiance was very attractive. We all liked the little lights on the tables. Just the right amount of light without taking up much room. I appreciated that all the entrees came with bread and salad. All of their dressings are house made. I had the strawberry vinaigrette and it was lovely; thicker than I would have expected and just the right amount of sweetness. The salad was a good size, although there were too many onions. The bread they served was light and delicious as well. For my dinner, I had the chicken fettucine alfredo. I loved the giant bowl that it came in. There was the right balance of sauce to noodles, and there was a good amount of chicken. I also appreciated that they put broccolini in it. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their meals as well. It was a nice, comfortable atmosphere for getting together with friends.

Crème brûlée

We celebrated our anniversary here and it was a nice experience. We did not make a reservation on a busy Saturday night but they were able to accommodate us on the patio right away. The crispy Brussels sprouts were good but very oily. The French onion soup was very good. I liked the Maurice salad but still have yet to find one as good as the one at Hudson's/Macy's. My husband really enjoyed the burger and the truffle fries were awesome. The side of Mac and cheese was good but a little steep at $12. Lastly they brought out our crème brûlée dessert with a candle and happy anniversary message written on the plate. A very nice and unexpected touch. The dessert itself was heavy and probably needed a bit more time under the torch or broiler. Overall it was a great dinner and we'd definitely go back again

Chilean Sea Bass

Great restaurant! Yummy food and amazing service. Leta was our server on a busy Saturday night, and she couldn't have been more attentive. She answered our questions and offered great recommendations. Food came very quickly after it was ordered, even though everything is made to order. We ordered the Boom Boom Shrimp and Steak Bites for appetizers. For entrees, we ordered the Tortellini a la Vodka with an RH salad, and the Chilean Sea Bass with a bowl of Tomato Basil Bisque. The Chilean Sea Bass was a little too fishy for our liking, but was still very tasty. Can't wait to come back and try more things on their menu. Highly recommend!

We ordered drinks: espresso martini, ember rose, and incognito. Espresso martini and incognito had a nice coffee taste. Not too sweet. Ember rose was a bit spicy and tangy. Our apps were the Brussel sprouts and calamari. Brussel sprouts had a lot of flavor, but a bit too much oil. Calamari was a bit bland, but crispy. Sauces elevated it. For our mains, we had the scallop carbonara and chicken fettuccini. Scallops were cooked well, but pasta flavor was a bit bland. Chicken fettuccini was like every other fettuccini Alfredo pasta. Nothing outstanding, but it was good! The tomato bisque was my favorite thing! So much flavor and thick creamy soup base. Dip the house bread in the soup and you're going to have THE BEST explosion of flavors!

beef with veg soup

First time here. We made a reservation and were seated promptly. Meals come with soup or salad and bread, which seems to be unusual these days. We ordered the tomato bisque, pasta lupino, prime rib, and another soup with beef and veggies. The bread was warm and soft and paired well with the bisque. The bisque was the star - comfort in a bowl. The pasta lacked seasoning. The beef soup and prime rib were also okay; they were not very flavorful. The french onion soup is not an option with the meals; it is a la cart. We also had the carrot cake, which was good and the portion was too big to finish after dinner. The service was lackluster.

Peach Boozy Bubbles

Celebrated Christmas dinner with the office staff. The atmosphere was wonderful. Our waitress was very helpful at answering about different items on the menu. I had the tomato basil bisque soup, which was very good with the side of bread. Appetizers were boom boom shrimp and spinach artichoke dip which were so good. My main meal was the perch piccata it was tasty as well. The star of the show was the peach boozy bubbles drink, it was so good.

Tomorrow bisque, a must try! So good and creamy and fresh tasting

I know it's not his fault but it seemed very discriminatory to not allow him to have the dinner. It's based off of obviously the trend for girl dinner so unsure why we were only allowed to get it and not him. The service and food was nice but it did rub us the wrong way that he wasn't allowed to join in on that experience. It's not advertised that it's only for girls so if it said that it would maybe make sense but it didn't so we assumed he would have been able to join in on the fun.

We could sample whiffs of the tempting fusion cuisine upon entry of this chique and artistic interior. We were greeted by Deanne who sat us at a center section near the brightly lit bar. We admired the open air and warm layout that captivated the artistic details preoccupying our views and helped facilitate the time between our courses. Wasn't long before our server Chad appeared and ran through the popular and seasonal specials and offered suggestions given our first indulgence here. For appetizers we ordered the white mushroom flatbread and bang bang shrimp - both were excellent! Our main course included an order of the braised short rib and a plate of grilled ribeye. Although the portions seemed smaller than expected, they were both DELICIOUS and left us room for the suggested dessert. Can't remember the dessert name but i'd describe as a freshly baked muffin with sour apple frosted drizzle that was infused with wintery warm flavors - again, a delicious finish even though we shared. It was evident that the personal touches set this place apart from the other corporate eateries nearby. We also determined through chatting with the staff that this eatery is a locally founded Michigan business started by Michigan born entrepreneurs. Thanks to Deanne, Chad, Evan and Chef Michael - we were really delighted to find this place nearby. Was worth the try and struck high marks in all the appetizer, meal and dessert categories, which rarely ever happens for us. We'll be back to sample the other items on your menu and will spread the word about this hideaway that'll save you a downtown trek to the D for an impressive caliber meal.

The Hemmingway Room - Key Lime Pie looks better than it tasted. Less whipped cream, more lime flavor would be better.

We had a nice table which started quiet and proceeded to get louder and more vibrant as the night went on. Service was fine and fast throughout. She had the Smoky Maintain which was strong enough for her to ask for an extra splash of pineapple juice. I had an Amaretto Sour which was nicely presented and tested good enough. It wasn't as strong as hers though. She ordered their Salmon Bowl which had both teriyaki and boom boom sauce; tasted good and was an ample size. My steak and frites came. The steak itself needed a little more seasoning and could have been larger but the truffle fries were top shelf. The chimichuri sauce was good too. The key lime pie for dessert presented well, but it packed the tartness one wants. There was too much whipped cream and not enough lime. That was the only real disappointment. Everything else was pretty great. A 4.6 rounds to 5.

I could see this place being the perfect spot for a date night!

Everything tasted super fresh and the menu leans more "snacky" in the best possible way -- perfect little plates that are clearly meant to pair with wine. We ordered a few things for the table and it felt like the kind of place where you just keep ordering one more thing because everything sounds good. Nothing heavy, just really well done bites that let the wine shine. Speaking of wine, the selection is awesome. It's not the usual predictable restaurant list. There are some really interesting bottles and styles on there, which makes it fun if you actually enjoy trying different wines instead of just defaulting to the same thing every time. Service was great too. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming, and you can tell the owners are really hands-on and working hard to make the place special. That always makes a difference. And the ambiance... chef's kiss. Moody lighting, cozy, stylish but not pretentious. Just good vibes all around. It's the kind of spot you want to linger at with friends and a second bottle of wine. Already planning my next visit :)
