Came on a cold Saturday morning in the winter and waited about 20 minutes or so. Parking sucked - very busy plaza. Lobby area is a bit cramped but has long seating and some high tops while you wait. Cannot really see inside the restaurant while you wait. The dining area has a ton of booths and a large impressive bar. Tall ceiling and airy calming colors. Our waitress was friendly and put up with our requests for more butter/jam/pop throughout our visit. She was attentive and checked on us a lot. Menu is big but not overwhelming - need to come back again to try something else. Got the biscuits as an app and they were amazing, Huge portions - warm and fluffy. But the butter/jam ratio to the biscuits were off - be sure to order extra. Southwest benedict is what I ordered and it was great. The egg was perfectly poached and ooey gooey. Again big portions. Food came out very fast. Waitress came over with a tablet and checked us out. That always feels awkward to me - the waitress lingering while I figure out in front of them how much to tip. She later warned us that we overstayed our welcome. She said when they have wait times - you need to leave after 90 minutes. I noticed later the bill indicated this but we could not see the lobby and the people all waiting either. She was nice about it and said her boss or someone told her to tell us to leave essentially. Kind of tacky. I get need to turn tables over especially when people are waiting. But still a little tacky. Will be back to try something new and be sure to set my stop watch for 90 minutes.
Logistics. Located on the SW corner of Rochester Road and Tienken in Rochester. Busy lot parking. Vibe. Elite-ish. Seems to be a place to see and be seen. Elevated menu than your standard coney island locales. Thank you. Music was pumping. Lots of light. Modern decor. Christmas decor since it was of that season. Offerings. Full bar. Finally, refreshing to see interesting takes on traditional breakfast menu items and prices reflect that. See pics that say more. Quite delicious. Hospitality. Friendly, timely, accomodating. Handheld ordering devices to pay on the spot, awkwardly. Slightly felt rushed. Of Note. Clean and stocked loo. Would recommend for special occassions.
Visited for the first time on recommendation from a friend and loved the ambiance and the crowd. The restaurant doesn't take reservation and we had a wait time of 35 mins at around 11:30 AM on a Saturday. Once we were seated, the service was prompt and polite. The menu has an extensive selection of drinks , breakfast and lunch options. We ordered the cajun chicken sandwich, mushroom Egg Benedict and lemon ricotta pancake. I liked the entrees but pancakes I have had better. Prices and portion sizes were average and we ended up finishing all our meal without having to take any to go boxes. What stood out for me was the drink selection ( mocktails and alcoholic beverages) and the vibrant energy. Will visit again for the same :)
This brunch spot was absolutely wonderful. I was visiting family and had brunch here on 8/10/26. The space was very clean and bright. It was bit cold inside but since it was so hot outside, I was still happy about it. We were a large party and came by with no reservations but as it was a Monday, we didn't have to wait at all and were seated right away. I didn't catch the name of the server (I forgot her name) but she was fantastic. She was attentive, friendly, and ---as a person who works in hospitality, I know how difficult it can be to serve a table of 3 adults and 6 children but she was a pro. She gave great recommendations, was very sweet with the kids, checked up on us regularly and made the entire experience awesome. The food itself was amazing. They have quite a variety of things and I chose to have the Mushroom Benedict ($17) and it came with a side (I chose a side of roasted potatoes). I haven't been to Michigan in 9 years and I live in Los Angeles so these prices are very reasonable and even cheap considering what I'm used to paying for brunch back home. I didn't have any drinks but saw they have a full bar. When I'm back in town, this is definitely a place I would love to come back to.
The French bar is a classy modern looking place that serves brunch and other meals. Their bloody Marys were decent. We had a mixed experience with the food. My companion ordered a salad, and she was really pleased. I ordered the tofu scramble and was really disappointed. For one, it was not a scramble, it was more like a stirfry with individual chunks of Topher. The bigger issue was that it was incredibly salty. I like salt but the balance in this dish was so off. It was practically in edible. I would give this restaurant another chance, I just wouldn't order that dish again
Great atmosphere, clean, and good service. Prices are on slightly high but usually worth it. Beignets are awesome!
I can't remember how I found out about The Brunch Bar. But I've been following them on Facebook for over a year. Today, I finally went for brunch, and it did not disappoint. It was very busy, so I sat at the bar (which I prefer anyway). The servers were all very attentive and nice. When the plate was placed in front of me, I was shocked at the amount of food. Although I only ate half, it was absolutely delicious. The couples on each side also spoke how they enjoyed their food as well, especially the croissant beignets. I made sure to order some to go. I also love the decor as it was very modern and allowed a lot of natural light. I will definitely be returning.
Met a friend for brunch here. Bar seating is first come first served. We decided to wait for a table. They said 20 min, it was less. The menu is huge. I knew I wanted coffee so the Brunch Bar Coffee stood out to me. It's basically an Irish coffee. It was good. Next up was a Bloody Mary. I've definitely had better. It was weak on the alcohol and their mixer is more on the tomato side. I do appreciate their garnish though! I asked for medium spice. It was pretty mild. For brunch, I had the croque madame. It was on the specials menu. My friend had the avocado chicken club sando. We both had the dressed greens as a side. Everything was delicious. The dressed greens were not soggy. The dressing is a bit sweet and fruity. The croque madame had a perfectly runny egg on top of bread with lots of bechamel sauce and cheese. I wished the bread was a little more toasty. There are so many other items I want to try like the short rib Benedict, the salted caramel Croffel, the wild mushroom omelette, lemon ricotta pancakes, I could go on! Service was great. Bathrooms were clean. Parking was plentiful. The don't take reservations. I would eat here again.
I love this place the food is always amazing. I live near their other location it's a different name and the food is always top tier. I was shocked when I found out they have the same owners lol. They are absolutely amazing the service and ambiance is great. I was like the food has to be good. It definitely is. But I had the standard breakfast with pancakes delicious. Pancakes are so moist, the turkey sausage patties are great. Today I ordered the chicken and waffles I was skeptical at first but chicken thigh was moist and packed with flavor. I don't live near here but every time I'm out here I try to stop by. Definitely worth the price. Check them out
Excellent brunch spot! The menu has a huge selection of outstanding choices. We started with the deviled eggs which were very unusual and delicious. I had the banana bread French toast, which was a unique dish that I enjoyed. My wife had the cinnamon swirl pancakes and really enjoyed them. Big credit to the staff...they were turning tables at an impressive speed on a busy Sunday morning! Also...our server Shay was great!
Arrived after 10:15 AM. There's a line outside. 20 minute wait for two, ok. We put our name in to wait outside. We were seated by 10:20am, not too bad. It's a big place inside and there's a back patio too. Ordered a coffee with side of oat milk, green tea, tofu scramble with biscuits, huevos rancheros with turkey sausage, beans on the side, eggs over hard and yogurt parfait. $53.35 Their berry stuffed French toast and the quinoa power bowl also sounds really good as well. My eyes want to eat more than my body likely wants and I do love a variety of foods when I eat as well. My Korean in me that wants every meal to have banchans? The jasmine tea was weak with a cups worth of hot water. The huevos rancheros and tofu scramble are quite good, super tasty on their own. The Huevos was even better with cholula added to it. The beans have little minced pork in it, not for me. The yogurt parfait is good, bits of fruit and granola. Their biscuit was freshly baked, came after we were mostly done with our meal. The biscuit was flaky, billowy and good alone, better with honey drizzled on it. The food is yummy and good. The service was so-so. Some delays with food items and the bill and our waitress didn't seem warm or friendly.
Tried this place for the first time today. The space is clean and modern. They have a huge selection of breakfast/lunch items. They also have a seasonal menu. We tried the mushroom ricotta omelette, mushroom eggs benedict and salted caramel croffle. Everything was delicious. The croffle was exceptional. I hope they put it on their permanent menu. Shout out to our waiter Giorgio who was so attentive and friendly. The place gets very busy and they don't take reservations. Our food came out fairly quick once we put in our orders.
This used to be a Big Boy until it finally closed abruptly some time ago. Eventually, Brunch bar moved in and what a nice addition to the community it is! I've eaten here twice now, and it's really between three and four stars for me. The menus pretty extensive with breakfast, brunch and lunch ticket items that have hearty servings at a premium price. They have loads of beverages to choose from, including mimosas and many other drinks to start your day off right. The first time I ate here I went with the Huevos Rancheros, but didn't really love it so I didn't write a review. I finally made it back today and went with the corned beef hash with eggs, pancakes and hash browns. Overall the food was good and even though it's a tad expensive, worth the time. It can get sort of busy here, so if you go during peak times, please be prepared to wait. I was lucky to get a seat at the counter since it was just me today. I do love how the place and how it's decorated, just not my preferred breakfast spot since I already have my favorites locked in.
Really great brunch. The atmosphere is light and fresh. The decor is simple but elegant. We got this large wood table for our large group. The food came out fast and was soooooo good. The cinnamon swirl pancakes are really good. The chicken avocado blt was really good but get it on the sourdough. All the food was worth trying The service was excellent. I chose busiest day to visit this place on mother's day. They dont take reservation and wait time was for 2 hours. They have no online queue watch or sms service to let you know when you are 1st in queue. Although i was standing right there outside and they were calling names coming out, somehow for my turn they dis not and mentioned I should have waited inside. Although this wait period and last minite confusion was disappointing but once we were seated, they served well, food was amzing too. I ordered fresh cucumber, celery juice, quesidilla, and coconut cream pancake. Everything was good and appropriate portion which I could finish all. Love the vibe. I would love to go avain on less busy day read more

I had a great brunch here today! They don't take reservations, but I was seated right away. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was casual and friendly. This is a great option to have a fun brunch with friends. read more
We went for Easter so it was definitely busier than usual but it only took us about 25 minutes to get seated. The ambience is very nice and the service was good. The food was hit or miss. We started with the croissant beignets with the raspberry sauce which was amazing!! But I was not impressed with my entree. I got the prime rib dip sandwich and the meat was really undercooked and had some chewy pieces. The side salad was also just ok. Overall, I'd try this place again when it's less busy! read more

Super solid choice for breakfast!! This has quickly become our favorite go-to spot for great breakfast & amazing service. Coffee is great and they have alternative milks for lattes. Home made jam is some of the best I've ever had!! read more

I don't usually go out for brunch or visit Rochester often because I've had mixed experiences, but a friend really wanted to try this spot, so we gave it a shot. I arrived on Sunday at 11:40 AM and went up to the hostess stand to put our name down for a table of four. The hostess informed me it would be a 35-minute wait. Just a heads-up--this restaurant doesn't take reservations over the phone, nor do they offer a text notification system when your table is ready. You have to wait in the waiting area and they'll call your name. In reality, we weren't seated until around 12:30 PM, which was longer than the estimated wait time. My friend and I couldn't help but wonder--why not allow reservations? It could really help streamline the experience! But hey, we're just a couple of restaurant-savvy diners with family in the industry. That being said, the ambiance is absolutely stunning--it reminded me of many trendy spots in NYC. Our waitress was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. I ordered a latte with oat milk (FYI, they don't carry soy milk) and the shrimp and grits, which were rich, flavorful, and satisfyingly cheesy. If you're looking for a hearty and filling meal, this one hits the spot! Overall, I'd love to come back and explore more of the menu. The biggest downside is the long wait time--plan for about 45 minutes to an hour. But with great food and excellent service, I'd say it's worth it! read more

The Brunch Bar was packed on Easter, I put our name down for 5 of us and thought it would be a long time, but the line was moving fast and we were seated within 40 minutes. Everyone from the hostess to the waiter was amazing and friendly. Our waiter, Giorgio M, went above and beyond to help us have a wonderful Easter breakfast, he was on top of our large order, and the food was delicious and came out very fast for how busy the place was! The guava lemonade and lavender lemonade were tasty, shout out to Giorgio for recommending the Monte Cristo and the house made lavender lemonade! Try out the short rib Benedict on a biscuit or the omelet version - it was scrumptious and we ate every bite! We will be back for sure and hope Giorgio is there when we do. He took the best care of our larger group and everything was perfect for our lovely Easter brunch. read more

I've driven past this place a few times and decided to try it after hearing good things from a friend. When my cousin came to visit, it felt like the perfect opportunity. Although it was pretty busy and parking was a bit tight, we eventually found a spot. Despite the Saturday crowd, we were seated right away, which was a nice surprise. The restaurant itself was aesthetically pleasing and had a great vibe. I ordered the cinnamon swirl pancakes with a side of scrambled eggs, and everything was delicious--a perfect balance of sweet and savory. We all got mimosas, which were tasty, though I do wish the glasses had been filled a bit more. That seems to be common at a lot of places, though. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd definitely come back to try more menu items. read more
Had a very enjoyable lunch here catching up with a friend. It was around noon during the holiday season and there was a ~20 minute wait - no reservations, no call aheads but they did have a big designated waiting space so that made it more comfortable. The interior is decorated nicely and is bright with all the windows and natural light. We had a great waitress who was very friendly and served everything up lightning fast. Like we ordered drinks and 2 minutes later they were on our table!! I tried the orange beet juice which was good but I would've preferred a little more orange to balance it out better. For food, we both had a hard time deciding because the menu was huge and everything sounded good! I decided on the cubano and was not disappointed, although the dressed greens on the side were a miss the sandwich was delicious. I will definitely visit again to try more of the menu. read more

This was really good! Over the last couple of years, this area has seemed several fancy brunch places pop up. I would argue that this is one of the best. That atmosphere is fantastic you walk into a clean open and modern restaurant. We were greeted by very friendly waitstaff who are prompt. We got our food m quickly and it was hot and fresh. I really enjoyed my Mexican omelette. Overall, a great experience. A bit expensive for breakfast. For everything seen in the photo below we paid $65. read more
The food was fantastic. There were seven of us and each of us enjoyed everything. Cappuccino and lattes were also great. I will definitely be back the reason it didn't get all five stars is because we were a little rushed. You shouldn't take someone's plate when there's other people at the table still eating, it was an hour before they closed. When you start clearing plates, it tells everyone they should be done. So please leave all the plates till you see everyone finished. read more

We came during the busy brunch time on a Sunday which is a great way to see how efficiently the staff run things. They do not disappoint. From walking in and talking with the hostess, to being welcomed at the bar (they have seat yourself at the bar), to order taking and delivery...the staff is VERY friendly and personable for it being their most busiest time. The space is open with high ceilings and light decor - very welcoming but noisy (which was fine for us). We chose to avoid the long wait time for a table and sat at the bar. The stools have half-backs and are the perfect height for eating at the bar. We were very pleased with how comfortable the bar stools were! We ordered regular coffee, the Fat Elvis French Toast, the Campfire S'mores French Toast , and a side of the Applewood Smoked Bacon. My husband loved the Fat Elvis French Toast - it has a lot of tastes going on so be prepared! The Campfire S'mores were good - not overly stuffed so it wasn't mushy or anything because the graham cracker crumb coated bread made for a sturdy mechanism to hold the Nutella and marshmallow fluff. This was a very pleasant experience and we will come back because their menu had more options we wanted to try. Not to mention how positive the staff are during a hectic time of day. read more
Second time I've been here. Even though there were many people waiting , the wait was not bad because three place is pretty big. This time I had Huevos rancheros which was very good. My friend had a veggie omelette. Service is excellent here. Very nice, knowledgeable waitstaff that are happy and attentive! I love that read more

Great service, nice decor, and good portions. The cannoli pancake ($15) was good, but I thought there was going to be more cannoli filling than what was on top. Served with warm syrup - not sure of its quality (standard vs maple). I wish there was a half order pancake option for half the price. They offer a kids menu, but it's pricey for what you get. So, I ordered my toddler the standard breakfast so he had everything - eggs, fruit, bacon and pancakes ($15). Coffee was good. I wish they had fresh half and half available to those like me who don't trust the ones on the table with no expiration date. We took home 3 containers of leftovers. I'll be back! read more
I have been wanting to try the Brunch Bar for a while. I finally got the opportunity and I'm going to tell you ... it was well worth the wait! If you're coming with more than one other person, be advised that it gets super busy. They do not take reservations, so expect to wait anywhere from 30-60 min. If there are just two of you, you can likely snag a bar seat. The interior is gorgeous. Simple yet elegant. No real gimmicks. Even with how busy it was, the service was impeccable! The food though. Omg. I love savory breakfasts. I love biscuits and gravy. Add an egg and fried chicken and we have a winner. This was the best breakfast I have had in a long time. My wife went here and raved about it. Her leftover Berry stuffed French Toast sure looked good. (But I didn't try it). So we snuck away from the kids one morning - yes they were supervised. We just beat a rush of people so we barely waited at all for a seat. The window coverings are apparently on order but be advised that you might get sun in your eyes. I survived. The place is very nicely refurbished from the old Big Boy that occupied the space before. It's quite nice inside and service was kind and quick throughout. The coffee didn't quite live up to my wife's previous raves. Even she admitted the same. She had the mushroom eggs Benedict and I had the Mexican omelet with chorizo, pica de gallo, and avocado. Mine came with pancakes and home fries as well. My food was good, but not crazy good. There was a lot of food for the price point, so it seems a decent value. Next time I'll try something sweet instead of savory. Seems a nice new addition but I wouldn't want to wait in a long line - which was what was waiting as we left that Sunday morning. The wait time is long for brunch on a weekend, which would be fine but I was surprised that the system they have for the waiting list is literally just a pen and paper and you have to wait there for them to call your name. I'm used to restaurants using a text system nowadays so I was disappointed I couldn't walk around nearby and explore while waiting 45 min for my table. The menu looked pretty good and it seemed there were some dishes they were great at and some that were lacking. The tomato basil soup is pretty good, and so was the quinoa power bowl. I got the banana walnut bread french toast which was pretty good, it was very filling. (I was sad there wasn't at least an option for pure maple syrup, I mean this is michigan!) I also ordered the Cuban eggs benedict and that was underwhelming; the pork was not marinated long enough, the Canadian bacon tasted like it was just pulled out of the packaging and placed on the cook top long enough to give it color but not flavor and on of my eggs was very overcooked overcooked. My dish came with a side of house potatoes that were nicely crispy but not seasoned at all. That whole dish could have used more seasoning, it was very bland.We also tried the brunch bar burger, that was nothing to call home about. The vibe in there was nice and the staff was also very welcoming. It's a good brunch spot if you're in a pinch but would not be my first pick. read more
Tried this place out for my husbands birthday and we will be coming back here again! The food was good and the prices were reasonable! The portions were big enough for me to bring some home as well. We had the Fat Elvis to share and it was delicious! Definitely enough for 2 people to eat as a sweet treat after our savory meals. The service was astounding, we had Daria and she was very attentive and kind. The atmosphere was so cute, clean and modernly quaint! The seating arrangements had a various amount of bar top seating, booth and regular chair seating. It was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to do a girls day brunch. We would come back to try more things again! read more
Beautiful and casual spot for a nice brunch! We enjoyed our late brunch when we stopped in. Since it was later we got salads and the portions are huge. You can easily share things. Our server was nice and the place was clean which I love to see. I would like to try breakfast some time. read more
