First time at this business, and I was very impressed with the quality, freshness, and taste of my sandwich. I ended up ordering the southwest wrap that had grilled chicken turkey, bacon, spinach, avocado, corn, cheddar, red onion with chipotle aïoli. The sandwich was absolutely delicious with the accompanying green salad equally tasty. Definitely a superior sandwich and one of the best I have had in the area. This is a walk up counter order operation, where you sit at a table after ordering and they bring the food out to you. Just something to note in the event you are looking for a sitdown service as this business does not offer that. Having said that, if the quality and the taste of your food is the top priority, which it is in my case, I'll come to a walk up counter order operation all day long for sandwiches like this! Relative to the Interior it is very clean and contemporary with basically no decor or vibe to speak of. They just focus on the food and let that do all the talking. Staff was very friendly based on the minimal interface I had with them. Overall, sandwich shops with this quality are few and far in between and if excellent deli type sandwich shops are your thing you absolutely should check this business out. read more

I finally stopped in here for a quick breakfast after being stuck in the house with this awful snow. I reviewed the menu before I left, and they seem to have a great selection of items that are healthy and reasonably priced. I was torn between the parifat bowl and the breakfast burrito, but the gal at the register convinced me to get the burrito instead. Next time, I'm doing the parifat. The total was about $14 and change, and I was pleasantly surprised at how big the portion was when it came out. They also have a great, but limited selection of coffee drinks with pictures as well. I stuck with water this time since I was good on the coffee. Food was great, even though I was confused about what bread it was served on. I went with the turkey sausage which I normally don't like because it's just so salty. I also received a nice salad with it as well, which was good and healthy. I really like it here, it's better than my usual coney island and in a great location. I know this place used to be a sub shop back in the day, but they closed some time ago. Mostly healthy food options here and have great hours. You can eat healthy with some flavor in your food, thus, Lula's. read more

We stopped into Lula's for a quick bite before a day of running around. You place your order near the kitchen, take a marker with a number on it and find a place to sit. All of the employees we interacted with were very friendly. The food came quickly. The iced chai lattes were perfect. We ordered and açaí bowl and a lotus wrap. It was obvious that all of the ingredients were very fresh! The açaí bowl was filled with lots of fresh fruit, seeds, and honey. The lotus wrap was delicious, the wrap itself is grilled in some sort of cheese crumble. The wrap was packed full of chicken and veggies. For a quick bite to eat, everything was excellent! The cafe itself is very clean and modern. They have free wifi, and we saw many people working on laptops. read more

The following 3 visits were different, by this I mean I had the same order, the comfort bowl, but it was different each time. One time no Parmesan, the next time no aïoli, and today no black beans. My food was hot and tasty, but I am just not sure what the issue is? First time visit, great experience. Place is nice inside, was busy at Wednesday lunchtime, but order line moved fast. The staff were nice, the chai and açaí bowl were good, but all the other food was pretty disgusting. The coffee was sour, the chicken salad was mostly thin, soupy miracle whip. It also might have had sweet pickle relish in it. Something made it extremely thin and unpleasantly sweet. Two of our meals came with greens which were completely drenched in pools of a terrible, thick, processed, yellow Italian-type dressing. It reminded me of a hospital or school cafeteria in the 80s. I pictured this dressing in a giant plastic tub. It was inedible. Greens on the side at a nice brunch spot should have a sprinkle of vinaigrette. The breakfast burrito only had the option of turkey sausage. They also don't have real bacon. Not everyone likes shaped, processed fake pork. There were mostly giggling teen girls as patrons. This might be a good spot for them, but we will not be returning. read more

I ended up coming a second time and had a much better experience than the first. The southwest wrap was delicious and I really enjoyed their chocolate chunk cookies. I don't recommend the salmon or acai bowls personally, they lacked flavor and the acai bowl didn't have many toppings when I got it. Other than that though it's a cute spot with really nice people and is worth a visit. read more
