I haven't been back to Jagged Fork in years, but I went back yesterday and BOY WAS IT GOOD! I still think this place is a little pricey, but the food is soo much better than it was a few years ago. I'm assuming the menu has also been updated since my last visit. I got the chorizo skillet... those carnitas were FIRE! I wish there was a tiiiiiny bit less fat on some pieces but I'm just being picky. Service was quick, our waitress was nice, and overall a great vibe for a quick brunch on a Monday morning. Visited on a busy MLK day. Lots of kids out of school and people brunchin. Walked in and was intimidated by the lobby and people waiting. There was a kiosk by the hostess stand and able to get a spot in line. We only waited 10-15 minutes so not bad. Our server was attentive in the beginning but once we got our food he didn't really check back at all. Also took a bit getting the bill. Coffee was hot and good but only asked once to refill our cups. The chorizo skillet was good but the veggies were not cooked that well, some were raw like the peppers. My scrambled eggs were yummy and the meat was super flavorful. Comes with either toast or mini pancakes. Nice option to get the pancakes as the side to fulfill my sweet tooth. My dad was happy with the Jf smash burger. He asked for fruit but got both fries and fruit, so unexpectedly welcomed mistake. Inside was clean, along with restrooms. Needed a bite this afternoon. We woke up early and rushed to get our last shopping day handled. We skipped eating (we weren't very hungry when we woke up) and headed out. I looked up this place on Apple Maps, then called to see how long they would be open today on Christmas Eve. They would have their last table seating at 1p, so we were in good shape. We arrived and we were seated immediately. Our server was a very customer service friendly young lady named Tiffany C. She was very attentive on the job, and super duper a joy to have serve us. We ordered: Steak and Eggs with homefries ($20), 2 coffees, PB & Elvis stuffed french toast, and a side of hashed browns. All of my food was very good. My Husband was a bit disappointed because his medium steak came out well done. The rest of our time was spent enjoying the food and each other's company. For it being a busy Sunday, I was highly impressed with the quality of service we were provided. While there was a short wait, we were sat quickly. Our food was delivered within less than 10 minutes of us ordering. I got the classic breakfast with eggs over easy, sausage, potatoes, and a side of cinnamon roll pancakes ($2 upcharge but well worth it!) Everything was delicious but I do wish the potatoes had a little more flavor or seasoning to them as they were pretty dry. I had originally rated this restaurant with 5 stars because the first couple of times we went there it was fantastic. In the past couple of years of continuing to go there, it has gone dramatically downhill. The last time we went, my omelette was undercooked to the point that it was so runny my server brought it back to the kitchen to cook slightly longer. I'm definitely not a "send my food back" kind of person but she insisted. When it came back, It was so burning hot that I burned the inside of my mouth and couldn't eat the rest of the meal. Fresh food should never spoil in less than 24 hours, which means it was old or improperly stored when served. Not only was this a complete waste of money, but it's also a serious health risk. Cannot say enough good things about this brunch spot! The food speaks for itself, the service is always spot on, a cool cozy modern vibe and it has had no problem maintaining #1 on my list of brunch places over the past few years. Prices are very reasonable given the portion sizes ($10-20/plate). Paula was my server today, she was super attentive and very positive and cheery! This place is located in a very nice shopping center. There is a Starbucks, Barnes and noble many other restaurants. Very cute. So I stopped in here with my family for a Sunday brunch the service people were not that friendly. The food was fantastic I enjoyed every bite . We ordered Oreo pancakes for the kids with a side of bacon and eggs. We also ordered a red velvet pancake and veggie omelette with some buttermilk pancakes eggs and bacon with hash browns. The Jagged Fork is forever reliable and consistent, and I appreciate them so much for that! I don't normally review "chains," which this sort of is, but I just wanted to shout them out for their consistency. This is the only Jagged Fork I have been to - the one at the Village - and I really enjoy it. I always have a positive experience here and do try to get different things on the menu each time I go, so I'd like to think I've tried quite a bit of their expansive menu. Everything has been delicious! As a savory person, I normally gravitate towards the bacon, eggs, potatoes, hash, etc. side of the menu, but The Jagged Fork's pancakes are truly next level and I will occasionally get them (and also get a side of their delicious fries to balance out the sweetness). Everything is really good here, it doesn't necessarily reheat well, so try to avoid to-go/carryout orders if you can. Things arrive super fast, there is rarely ever a wait here even during busy breakfast/brunch times on the weekends, and the service is just always superb! read more

Love this place! Always solid option. I love that you can order a basic bfast and upgrade the pancakes. The cinnamon swirl are my fav. Nice and fluffy. Great size for the side. I went with egg whites and ham for the protein, both well Prepared and hash browns extra crispy. Decent hash browns. My friend got the egg sandwich and crepes which she enjoyed. (Why wasn't I reached by a manager??) * *** To any dining guests reading this review: It's illegal in Michigan to add gratuity WITHOUT THE consent of the guest. As someone who is has maintained a career in hospitality I can tell you this sign was one of many immediate red flags which caused me to leave before ordering food. *** As someone who has worked in this industry for years, let me tell you what auto grat on to go tells me: It tells me that dining in is not as attractive of an option to guests, so to go's were being more heavily ordered, and to try and encourage a more patient wait staff, management added an auto grat to try and make up for the lack of tables servers are getting through the day. When my boyfriend and I came in the morning of my birthday, it was with the intention of my boyfriend spoiling me with whatever brunch I wanted. I chose this space because of the sweeter offerings, and it want very busy on Monday when we arrived. Even so, no one spoke to us right away as we approached the counter- and then a female employee (who later stated her name is Cassie) looked at my boyfriend and I with a dirty look as she walked in front of where we were waiting, between the counter and where we were standing. Her atttitde was as if to say my boyfriend and I should move out of the way- but there wasn't anyone standing behind us at all, and it would be truly bizarre- in my opinion- for any manager to encourage staff to walk in front of guests if there was just as easy of a path which felt more inviting for all parties. But the reality is we may not have even noticed her dart in front of us if Cassie hadn't made it a point to make it clear we were in her perceived way. After we were seated, I told my boyfriend the illegal demand for a tip on carry out food combined with an incredibly rude worker were enough for me to want him to spend his money elsewhere. I am in this industry, and find it often inexcusable to tip- I would rather not eat at this space and not tip the workers, and leave this review- then be the guest who had a horrible experience when I knew immediately it would be. To Jagged Fork: Not every guest is a metro-Detroit Nepo baby, and for those of us who tip well and stay loyal... we look for actual service and not just what's considered trendy and hip. Your workers being miserable while demanding illegal tips is enough for me to know this isn't an establishment worth the tips I work for. Also- Fire Cassie. We came here for breakfast, and as soon as we walked in, we were happy because they were playing freestyle music! We're from Chicago and grew up listening to freestyle. I ordered huevos rancheros, and my husband ordered corn beef hash! Both plates were delicious. I tried my husband's plate, corn beef hash, which was so fresh! My only issue was that the salsa on my huevos rancheros was too spicy for me, but my husband loved it! I wasn't able to finish the food because it was too much. Stopped in for breakfast with my father-in-law. There were a lot of changes to The Village and I thought Jagged Fork had closed. So glad they didn't! I ordered something new, breakfast nachos and my FIL ordered the Cloud Nine crepes. I loved the nachos. It was a nice twist to a classic. Lots of chorizo, jalapeños, cheese and chips. Dad's crepes were huge and loaded with fresh fruit. He ate about 1/3 of it and is excited to warm it up tomorrow. Our waitress Kayla was super nice and kept our coffee cups full. The potatoes were cooked extremely well--crispy on the outside and not too dry on the inside. The portion sizes were huge for how much the dish was. We also got a S'mores french toast to share. The edges of the toast were crispy, but the bread was fluffy without being overly soggy. The cream cheese was not too dense, nor was it too sweet. The berries were tart, thus balancing the sweetness of the toast. The berry sauce was delicious. It's a very fun dish. What a beautiful way to treat yourself on a Sunday afternoon - Veggie Omelette: it's loaded with vegetables and cheese of your choice. I went with feta, giving a hint of tanginess. The omelet could have been fluffier, but overall, it was a filling, satisfying, protein-packed lunch. It comes with hash browns OR fruits, and toast OR pancakes, too. The pancakes were fluffy. - The Jagged Fork Crepes: this is a giant savory crepe filled with ham, cheddar & swiss cheese, spinach, mushroom, onion, tomato, sour cream, and egg with mixed greens. It comes with a berry compote that they make fresh daily and I also had the fresh squeezed orange juice which is my favorite to get at Jagged Fork. After passing this place many times going around the mini-mall behind this restaurant, we decided to finally try this place. Coming in here was a HUGE mistake though, because our eyes were much bigger than our stomachs. Looking over their unique and tasty menu. It was tough to narrow down what we wanted. Pancakes, a skillet, an omelet, or even crepes. We met in the middle on some of it, getting the Triple Triple skillet, the Cloud Nine crepes and the buttermilk pancakes. All were great choices but we ended up taking the majority of it home! The Triple Triple skillet was ham, bacon, sausage, cheese, hash brown and your choice of style of egg. I finished about half of it before I was completely full. The Cloud Nine crepes didn't help either. Incredibly tasty crepes with strawberry fluff inside and strawberries and blueberries on top. The endless refills of coffee were great too. It was funny when the server came by at the end and didn't ask if we needed a box, but "how many boxes did we need". One of my favorite breakfast places anywhere. Certainly nice that it's just a 10 minute drive from home. Just enough breakfast mainstay items on the menu that you'll be sure to enjoy. Skillet breakfast, two different eggs Benedict's, amazing French toast and pancakes are among my favorites. Their blend of coffee (Lavazza) is robust but not overwhelming. Oh and they do offer various brunch cocktails: Mimosas, Bloody Mary's,Jagged Punch, Irish Coffee,etc. The service here is spot-on with usually cheerful dispositions.
