I was served a vodka martini in a tiny glass, only slightly bigger than a shot glass. The bartender also fished green olives out of a jar with his fingers. This visit was slightly better as we were greeted right away with a smile, but I noticed the bar ware hadn't changed much. My vodka martini was served in a small glass with no stem, and our bartender again used his fingers, rather than a spoon or cocktail skewer, to extract the olives. The wooden facade behind the bar could be classy and beautiful but appears to be just an afterthought with only a few types of liquor lined up on it. This place seems to be more focused on beer. I did like the open windows which had tables directly under them although my favorite piece of decor is the original Victory Cleaners sign that hangs on the wall opposite the bar. If you're a beer drinker, this is more of a place for you, as the emphasis is more on beer than specialty cocktails.

The quantity would be a little for some, but it was enough for me since it had alcohol and that kept the prices more reasonable. We were confused as we thought we were getting a table, after going back up to her she said we could have the table next to it as she did not know and that we had the fire pit as well, which was a plus! The disappointing part was that it was never turned on for us. It took several minutes for a waiter to come over to greet us, and triple that to get our first round of drinks. When drinks were brought there were still 3 missing but were eventually brought out. All of our drinks were in wine glasses which was strange and we did not get wine. Our prosecco had the proper glassware however. The waiter then walked away but we called him back as we wanted to get appetizers. We placed them and off the waiter went. While we sipped and toasted another waiter come over stating they had a glass of champagne for someone at the table which had a piece of fruit on the bottom. I had a bride to be sash on and we assumed someone saw it and had treated me to it. Well 10 minutes later and almost done the drink they came over and said "actually that drink was not meant for this table". Did they expect us to return it? Why even say that to a party? That was not our mishap. How oblivious that I am a bride to be as well? Just very odd. It took forever for our food and drinks even more so. There was a decent crowd but nothing extreme. We all felt like it took forever, not just me, and one of the women works at a very busy and fast paced restaurant and she even agreed. Our server was just okay and did not make the night feel special nor did any staff for that matter. For the food--The peach crostini appetizer was pretty good but everyone could tell they were canned cold peaches on the crostini. Cheesesteak egg rolls were mediocre. I ordered an appetizer for my main which was the tuna poke. That was decent and fresh but could have had more sauce/dressing. No one at the table raved about their food. Once we got our food we never saw our waiter till the end when we were all over it and ready to leave, especially since their live music went from upbeat summer vibes to depressing jazz music. After we were done taking some group pictures and paid we left. Never got a congratulations, come again, nothing. Honestly I am so disappointed which is disheartening as I was excited for the night and the decor/atmosphere, which all that it has going for this place. The 1st time I tried theirs I simply couldn't believe how great it was. The crust was perfectly done.. crispy and cooked just right. The sauce and toppings were first rate and delicious. One of our drinks was made wrong, and when we finally got her attention, she seemed annoyed she needed to come to our table and actually walked away while we were still talking, which felt really dismissive. What makes it more frustrating is that there's an automatic 18% gratuity even for small tables. I ended up having to tipping $22 total, and for only seeing her a handful of times, it definitely didn't feel deserved. To top it off, when I mentioned to the head bartender (who was acting as the manager) that I wouldn't be coming back, he pulled $40 cash out of his own wallet and offered it to me to "give them another chance." It honestly made me feel so uncomfortable and was not an appropriate way to handle the situation. The food was fine, but the service and overall experience were not. I said, "West Coast is a style, not a location." Then she thought it had to do with the degree of haziness in the beer, which isn't really the point. Well, she gave me some samples, and when I decided on one, and caught her eye, and told her, did she pour my beer? No, she did not. She made time-consuming cocktails for other people who arrived after I did. She got drinks for the table servers. My food arrived and sat there getting cold while I waited for a simple beer - after I'd already waited for a long time to order it. I don't stiff bartenders or servers very often, but this time it seemed warranted. Completely unacceptable. Otherwise, the food was excellent and the beer I finally got was OK. I have no idea what it was, since she didn't deign to tell me.
