I love first watch in general but this location does not do it for me. The quality of the food is not comparable other first watch locations. For example, I always get fruit and today I got fruit that was either unripe or close to mold - and unlike other locations that give a variety of fruit they only had pineapple and grapes neither of which looked appealing. The sausages and potatoes are always overbooked and burnt. The only tasty thing had been the pancakes and French toast. It is most disappointing that I don't have this same experience at other locations and I had such high hopes for this new location. Tried this place out on opening day and, I have to say, it may become my favorite breakfast spot in town. The place is bright, welcoming and decorated well. My wife and I shared a couple items. I ordered the AM Superfoods Bowl, which had coconut chia pudding topped with bananas, strawberries, granola and blueberries, with a side of multi-grain toast and almond butter. It was delicious, not overly sweet, yet light and fruity. The portion size was plenty big enough, especially for the both of us to share and have enough to feel satisfied. My wife ordered the Frittata Rustica, which was good but admittedly a bit boring flavor wise and included tomatoes even when it was requested to exclude them. However, the side breakfast potatoes were perfectly seasoned and crisp, and the chicken sausage was a pleasant addition as well. The service is where I feel they can improve a bit. That's not to say they weren't friendly, but we did have to ask three times for water, and we only saw our server maybe once after initially bringing our drinks. But we were offered a full (and complimentary!) pot of coffee when sitting down, and everybody had an upbeat and positive attitude to help kick this restaurant's tenure off the right way. We will definitely be back, and I'm excited to try the porch seating option once spring rolls around and the weather stays consistently warm. read more

Lovely brunch date with a dear friend this morning around 11am. Walked right in, not too busy, seated right away. Waitress was prompt, very attentive and super friendly. I started with the million dollar bacon - holy cow. Do not forget to order this when you go! Ordered blueberry muffin top griddle cakes to take home. Of course I had to try them. Fantastic and everything I had hoped for. My main was the lox benedict, minus tomatoes. It was good. The hollandaise was interesting, very lemony and not your norm. The server was great and apologetic, but the food was not great. I ordered basic sunny side up eggs, 1 pancake and 2 pieces of bacon. Server told me this was the cooks 2nd or 3rd attempt at eggs before I even got it at my table. What I received was to eggs with a solid hard boiled egg yolk. The server said they had told them to remake it. I'm not sure why I was served it in the first place. Bacon was dead and pancake wasn't hot. I visited this location hoping for a great breakfast. It started off with great customer service from our waitress and a delicious breakfast drink. The ambiance was calm and the kitchen was pretty quiet even as I sat close. Was sad to leave with a dissatisfied taste in my mouth. The Tomato soup was overly acidic and greasy. My order of buttered grits was congealed and cold out the outside and piping hot in the center, very disappointing. Better grits are served for the masses in the military. Next came my entree which was an eggs benedict BLT. The side of greens it came with was bland and a bit soggy. There wasn't much to say about the eggs benedict other than no taste at all. Absolutely TERRIBLE service. I took my mother there for our first time. We were looking forward to it as we had both noticed when the place first opened and I actually read good reviews on Yelp before I be had decided to go. It we as afternoon about 130pm. The place was mostly empty with just a few people in the inside and the outside. As we entered the restaurant, 2 employees stared us directly in our faces. We smiled and greeted them but they did not greet us back. We shrugged it off and simply stood next to the hostess both and waited for someone to approach us to be seated. What transpired next is something my mother and I talked about for hours after that day.. For over 15 minutes in a not busy restaurant, 3 servers paced back in and forth repeatedly. They absolutely IGNORED US the WHOLE TIME!! Believe me be when I tell you that the was no justifiable reason they could give that would explain them looking at us and never acknowledging us. After 15 minutes of waiting patiently and looking like fools around other guests who had themselves started to notice, WE finally had enough and WE approached one of the servers as they came out of the kitchen on their way to a table outside. We asked him if we could be seated and he just shrugged us off and said he didn't know.. When he came back in from his table and on his way back to the kitchen he never acknowledged us, he just pointed to another worker in our direction and kept going. As it turned out, it was one of the same workers who looked us both right in our faces but wouldn't come over (!!!). She then after we were pointed out by the server begins to very causally walk over to us, barely greeted us and just walked over to a table and expected us to follow her.. We explained that we preferred to eat outside if that would be alright. While she obliged she barely spoke a word but instead just started to walk out to the outer doors, placed our menus on the table and walked away. My mother and I were so upset as we spoke to each other about the lack of service we both had just experienced over the past 20 in minutes. We both hadn't felt so unwelcomed in a place in so long. Some of the other visitors had seen us as they peeked up from their table. They looked confused to why we were being treated that way. The story only gets WORSE from here! However I realize I've already typed a lot so I will be brief from this point and just wrap it on up by saying that we never even got the chance to order food SMH lol. We were so disgusted that just when we thought it was all over and that we had finally been seated, the last straw was the server that came over to us. This young lady could not appear to be more "over it". Bad day? who knows. I mean, were all the workers having a bad day right when we showed up lol? I don't know.. She was sooo disinterested in taking our order. We never got any silverware. She said she'd be back and didn't return, forgot our drinks and after waiting a while once more, we simply got up and left after 35+ minutes of being treated like scum. I was so upset that I even offered to bring my very own mother to this is place.. After all that ordeal we found a restaurant up the street from there, Carrabba's Italian Restaurant and ate there instead. The service and food were just fine. In closing, I'll tell you that no matter what, I will never attempt to give this place my business again. If I could give ZERO starts I would.. the blatant disrespect and lack of communication and indecency this place showed me and my MOTHER cements this decision in stone. Beware of bad service always. This is something we all know. If a restaurants staff to shows you who they are believe them. Don't wait around to be treated further like dirt. Go and take your business elsewhere. You deserve better. We all do. With all that being said, as a fellow Yelp member I am pleased to read that others have had a better experience at this establishment.
