I ordered the Black Truffle Cheesesteak. This thing brought a TON of flavor. The meat was finely chopped, tender, and easy to eat with every bite. The truffle added a rich punch without taking over the cheesesteak. It came on a traditional roll... but I think this steak deserves an upgrade. Give me a roll that can match the flavor level happening inside. The cheesesteak came with fries and checked in at $22. You already know my feelings about cheesesteak prices... For drinks, I went with the passion fruit margarita. Since I was with Jen, obviously passion fruit was the move. I enjoyed it, but next visit I'll save the extra $2 and stick with the classic margarita. Good people, good atmosphere, and a cheesesteak that leaves room for debate.

Our drinks were empty for most of the meal, and we had to ask another server just to find her. One of our drinks was made wrong, and when we finally got her attention, she seemed annoyed she needed to come to our table and actually walked away while we were still talking, which felt really dismissive. What makes it more frustrating is that there's an automatic 18% gratuity even for small tables. I ended up having to tipping $22 total, and for only seeing her a handful of times, it definitely didn't feel deserved. To top it off, when I mentioned to the head bartender (who was acting as the manager) that I wouldn't be coming back, he pulled $40 cash out of his own wallet and offered it to me to "give them another chance." It honestly made me feel so uncomfortable and was not an appropriate way to handle the situation. The food was fine, but the service and overall experience were not. For the prices and the built-in tip, I expected much better. I will not be returning.

My husband enjoyed his Mai Tai which tasted tropical and delicious. As an appetizer, we started with chips and guacamole which our server said were both homemade. I also had the three-shrimp tacos as an entree which were good but light on the shrimp. I asked for the chef to kick up the spice level which did make a difference. My husband was still hungry after his street tacos with steak. Be aware the sides of rice and beans are on the smaller side. Usually when we enjoy Mexican cuisine, we're stuffed. That wasn't the case this time. Also, we had to ask twice for utensils and napkins which were not on our outdoor table ahead of time. (In general, there was no decor on the tables, not even small votive candles.) The family next to us had to do the same and ask for utensils as well.
