    Haddock sandwich
    Nicole T.

Found this place on a whim nice environment attentive staff convenient off free street parking. My entree was Haddock lightly breaded with house made shoe string fries on a brioche bun. Sandwich was good and tender would definitely recommend.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and very engaging. However, the menu leaves a bit to be desired, especially when the highlight items are not available 7 o'clock on a Thursday night. I ordered wings ready with my second choice lobster dumpling if there was an issue. After I placed the order 10 minutes later our server came back and said that we didn't have any wings I had to ask is there anything else you're out of? She said the lobster rolls, well of course! The drinks are good but overpriced for the serving size. The fried chicken was just okay the corn ribs just corn. Take away, realize you are traditional dining. Keep it simple don't try to be "fancy". If you can't deliver simple wings or your staple items and you're attempting to give a more upscale environment you just look pretentious. Would I return? Maybe but I will call first to see if they have everything on the menu. UGH

Went to the Social on Morton last night. The social is in the soft opening phase. We were blown…read moreaway with everything from food, drinks, service and ambiance. The food here is absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the lobster dumplings and truffle cheesesteak. Lobster dumplings - Mouthwatering and meaty lobster - very juicy and tender; delicately fried and then stir-fried to perfection with fragrant aromatics topped with fresh shaved scallions. The overall taste is savory. Caesar kale salad with shrimp - I personally do not care for kale however Chef E. Caesar dressing is my favorite so I had to order as I am a Caesar snob. The shrimp were seasoned with a little spicy kick and the kale cooled the spice. Truffle cheesesteak - Thin Sliced Ribeye Grilled in Black Truffle Oil was bursting with flavors served on a seeded roll with sautéed onions and served with ketchup and truffle crispy delicious fries. Greek style chicken skewers- Super juicy, tender kabobs made with the best marinade ever and served with lime dipped in chile and Tzatziki sauce. Shrimp skewers - sweet, lightly spicy, and citrusy served with lime dipped in chile and Tzatziki sauce. Drinks were so reasonably priced and the best margaritas we have had. I ordered classic margaritas and my sister had mango margaritas. The margaritas were so freshly made and I expected to pay double what they charged. The hostess Dawn, was so pleasant and upbeat upon arrival we did not have a reservation but she was so accommodating especially with it being so busy on a Saturday night. After we finished eating the hostess came and checked on us and genuinely cared about guest feedback. The hostess also told us about some future gatherings the restaurant has planned such as wine tastings and bartending classes- we cannot wait to attend everything the Social will be offering. The restaurant is huge like gigantic and they will also be offering fine dining and brunch as well. The Social has a huge ballroom for weddings and events that can accommodate 150 people. I'll marry the chef tomorrow The Social is exactly what Delco needed. The pricing was so affordable I still cannot believe everything we had and how inexpensive it was for 5 drinks and 5 apps even the portions were large we had a few left overs as well. Our server, Deja H was an absolute gem. She knew the menu, offered great recommendations. We'll be asking for her the next time we visit. I love the vibe of this place! It strikes the perfect balance between elegant and relaxed, making it ideal for any occasion. My experience at this restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived until I left, I felt welcomed and pampered by the food and the service. I highly recommend it! When you wake up and you're still dreaming about the delicious food and drinks and how this place is going to be your go to it's a home run for sure.

About a week before booking a table at the Broad Table Tavern, a friend of ours came to us and told…read moreus they had a great time here. If definitely fed into our decision but we were looking for something nearby as my godmother wanted to take us to dinner for our anniversary after seeing our daughters in Newsies nearby. As always, I booked our table under my moniker, Sir Cornelius Silkbottom, to which the person taking reservations seemed a bit apprehensive, as I am very used to at this point. However, our reservation was perfect, and when we showed up at the nice little restaurant attached to the Inn at Swarthmore, we were seated right away, and next to the large windows that open up to the seated patio with a beautiful view of the golden hour of the day. One thing that was a little strange was that they charged for bread. Throughout our meal we kept having questions about what the true intention of what the Broad Table was going for in their presentation and their service. Our server and the staff was very nice, but we couldn't put our finger on whether the place is supposed to be very high-end, and upscale farmhouse style new American joint, farm-to-table, or what the heck was going on here. All I do know is that we enjoyed the heck out of what we ordered. Where they seemed to shine the most was in the very little nuanced things; a sweet lavender butter provided with the bread was a show stopper. The beet sauce along with my halibut was also outstanding. Everyone's meal was great, but we simply couldn't pin a label on this place, which may be the very purpose to begin with. Maybe Broad Table doesn't need a label or to be boxed in, and it really doesn't matter because it's delicious and the selection is varied enough for everyone! What is great about Broad Table Tavern is that it can be a standalone bar, a restaurant, and if you happen to be staying at the Inn, it is definitely a place to go for your meals. It's not cheap, but it is a great stop that will Make things easy for meals especially if you are here visiting kids in college to for a conference or another event. If you are in the area, this can easily become a place for a nice meal for two or a group, but as the evening gets later, the space becomes a bit more intimate for a date and it isn't too loud, sometimes featuring a live pianist. I suggest you try it out if you live in the area or happen to be traveling here, it will not disappoint!

I almost thought it was closed, but nope! There wasn't a big crowd, but it was a Monday at 7pm. A bunch of regulars enjoying the space. It was fairly loud with music. Super friendly folks working here. Our server was very sweet and made some recommendations as well as advised the specials for the night. Small hiccup with the beer I was served, but it was wet, so I drank the beer I was given. Ordered up the baked clam special. BBQ sauce and cheese was an odd combination, but actually quite good. I had the mussels and spaghetti for dinner. I asked for the Diavolo sauce, but not sure I received it. The sauce was not spicy at all, but some added red pepper flakes did the trick. The mussels were fantastic and a ton of them too. Spaghetti was cooked well and swimming in sauce. Small loaf of warmed bread for dipping. My wife had a chicken cutlet sandwich and she found it a bit bland if I'm being honest. She dipped her bread in my sauce to give it a bit more flavor. They put on the home run derby which was appreciated. All in all, a fun stop. Not quite sure I'd return unless I needed a place to hang before that next run to PHL. They were very nice and appreciative of the business and we enjoyed our time dining here.
