    Truffle cheesesteak
    JM T.

Went to the Social on Morton last night. The social is in the soft opening phase. We were blown away with everything from food, drinks, service and ambiance. The food here is absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the lobster dumplings and truffle cheesesteak. Lobster dumplings - Mouthwatering and meaty lobster - very juicy and tender; delicately fried and then stir-fried to perfection with fragrant aromatics topped with fresh shaved scallions. The overall taste is savory. Caesar kale salad with shrimp - I personally do not care for kale however Chef E. Caesar dressing is my favorite so I had to order as I am a Caesar snob. The shrimp were seasoned with a little spicy kick and the kale cooled the spice. Truffle cheesesteak - Thin Sliced Ribeye Grilled in Black Truffle Oil was bursting with flavors served on a seeded roll with sautéed onions and served with ketchup and truffle crispy delicious fries. Greek style chicken skewers- Super juicy, tender kabobs made with the best marinade ever and served with lime dipped in chile and Tzatziki sauce. Shrimp skewers - sweet, lightly spicy, and citrusy served with lime dipped in chile and Tzatziki sauce. Drinks were so reasonably priced and the best margaritas we have had. I ordered classic margaritas and my sister had mango margaritas. The margaritas were so freshly made and I expected to pay double what they charged. The hostess Dawn, was so pleasant and upbeat upon arrival we did not have a reservation but she was so accommodating especially with it being so busy on a Saturday night. After we finished eating the hostess came and checked on us and genuinely cared about guest feedback. The hostess also told us about some future gatherings the restaurant has planned such as wine tastings and bartending classes- we cannot wait to attend everything the Social will be offering. The restaurant is huge like gigantic and they will also be offering fine dining and brunch as well. The Social has a huge ballroom for weddings and events that can accommodate 150 people. I'll marry the chef tomorrow The Social is exactly what Delco needed. The pricing was so affordable I still cannot believe everything we had and how inexpensive it was for 5 drinks and 5 apps even the portions were large we had a few left overs as well. Our server, Deja H was an absolute gem. She knew the menu, offered great recommendations. We'll be asking for her the next time we visit. I love the vibe of this place! It strikes the perfect balance between elegant and relaxed, making it ideal for any occasion. My experience at this restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived until I left, I felt welcomed and pampered by the food and the service. I highly recommend it! When you wake up and you're still dreaming about the delicious food and drinks and how this place is going to be your go to it's a home run for sure.

There are many reasons to love The Social; location is great, the owners are wonderful, the ideas are interesting and fresh, staff is upbeat and exciting, and everything is pretty good. However, for everything that makes it shine, there is an attachment to a detractor that is holding it back from being absolutely great. They are currently in a "soft opening" period, so they are taking this opportunity to make changes, take input from visitors and guests, and really listen to feedback and experiences from those that come in to potentially make this the best destination in the area for unique drinks and interesting, delicious dishes that will satisfy, along with some that you simply won't find anywhere else. The drink menu that they currently offer is very interesting and unique and I can say that the drinks are quite tasty. I am not particularly a tequila fan, but the Goblet of Fire did impress, and the Sweet Heat bourbon drink I ordered was frankly outstanding. There are times when deciding on food to order that I am slightly frozen by having to choose between too many selections that I may want to try, and this happened at the Social, but not in a bad way. We ordered Corn Ribs and Lobster Dumplings for the table, but when it came to the wings (I knew I wanted wings, as I had heard they were great), there were simply too many choices and I was shut down. Luckily, our server came to the rescue. She shared the fact that there was a secret menu choice for the chef's personal hot wings that they make for staff, as well as if someone asks for them, so I quickly ordered the "Secret Hot Wings" and was pleasantly satisfied to find that the perfectly hot and insanely garlicky sauce was easily the best part of my entire experience. Our entire group found felt the same way about the wonderful corn ribs and dumplings, but no one else in my party seemed to be all that impressed by their orders, saying they were good, but nothing special. [[HIGHLIGHT]]So, all that being said, one of the things I experienced is that it is loud...and I mean REALLY loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am not sure if this was because of the large party that got sat in the corner of the room where we were seated, because the volume did increase slightly when they arrived, but it was already incredibly loud. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I understand that certain restaurants invite that type of atmosphere and that it is even encouraged and desired in certain settings, and I have never had a problem with high volume bars, restaurants, etc. However, here, it was just so loud, we could not even have a conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was the biggest thing that soured our experience...and it was pervasive, not just where we were seated but throughout the entire space. They also do not have much in the way of options if you are not drinking alcohol, which is fine by me, but not for everyone that will want to enjoy a meal there. Lastly, I'd like to address what happened when we went to pay our bill, which was extremely reasonable for everything we had ordered. Half of the entirety of the check was left in cash and a card was also left. Although no instructions were given, the server simply assumed that the entirety of the cash was given as tip, and charged the entirety of the meal to the card, which was not a problem, but could have been and was a pretty brazen assumption to make. If there had been any question or confusion, a simple question would have easily rectified any issue. There is definitely growing and learning to be had at The Social, but what they are getting right, they are doing impeccably and I would definitely recommend coming here and trying all the wonderful and colorful drinks if you are in the area. Everything I ate was tasty, hot, and extremely reasonable for what it was, and I look forward to returning once they are fully open and have a set menu to try new things and get a "full" experience. I believe there will be much more to see here in the future.

I've been hearing about this place for a while and I finally checked it out. One time for happy hour and the next for an Eagles game. Both times made me a fan. The drinks are strong and the burgers are some of the best I had. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is super cute and the bartenders/servers are friendly and accommodating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They ordered free shots for every touchdown and that definitely assured a good time. Can't wait to go back.

I ordered the Alfredo and a burger with cheese fries and the burger is salty and the fries are salty and the cheese sauce is salty I didn't take a picture of the food because it just was so disappointing they said they ran out of chicken wings so they had to give us breaded chicken, the chicken tasted weird and premade and the chicken was fried really hard we paid 15$ for 6 wing dings everything is overpriced and disgusting the Alfredo didn't even have any color to it it was just a bowl full of heavy cream, we waited a hour and 30 mins for 6 overcooked wings, and bland food the owner is nice but the food and service is terrible, I went to this location when it had its grand opening and it was okay and I tried to give them another chance and this was just a let down, the reviews on this restaurant has to be from drunk people or people that do not have any tastebuds because the food was below average only eat from here if you're planning on getting drunk anything taste good when you're drunk but i would advice you to avoid this place at all costs if you are looking for a good meal. 70$ down the drain, I came in here at 7:10 pm and just left at 9:40 almost 3 hours of waiting for disgusting food and now my stomach is hurting...great. The Alfredo was 30$ and the burger was 16$ and the wings was 15$.

    Shrimp skewers.

Everything we ordered was fantastic. Very tasty, different and definitely satisfying. - shrimp skewers - lobster dumplings - smash burger w/fries (perfect!) Waitress (Julie?) was pleasant and offered great recommendations. We will be back to try the corn ribs and lamb burger!

Menu is huge with so many delectable sounding items. They offer quite a few gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options. We ordered Bull's Horn and a French 75 with cognac not gin. Both were delicious and boozy. For food we ordered Eggplant Chips, Fig Brie Focaccia, Spicy Sweet Ribs, and Sweet Potato Tacos. I was impressed with the food. The Eggplant Chips were the star of the show. It came with a tzatziki that had diced not grated cucumber. I typically do not care for the cucumbers to be cut like that for tzatziki. Highly recommend. There are three separate restaurants accessible through the main doors and an ice cream window along the building's alley way right side. The Red Hen restaurant is to the left and the BLK SHP to your right. Frankly, I never found out what bar/eatery is in the middle but it was the BLK SHP that was calling to us with their classic tapas menu. I walked through the door on the right to discover a warm comfortable dining room with a massive fireplace. The windows at BLK SHP offer glimpses of traffic along this classic South Jersey town and for non-rainy days there are seats on the old porch, which looked very comfortable. The menu is a fun curiosity with dining options listed under categories such as: "Earth, Greens, Land, and Water." It's a tapas bar, which means small plates and of course questions because we needed some menu insight. The waitress was awesome and VERY patient because she was facing newbies. Her recommendation was 2 to 3 items per person. She said some folks start "small" and add items throughout the meal, which she encouraged us to do. She did say some order a lot knowing they will be boxing food at the conclusion of their meal. My shared meal was pretty much close to perfect. Roasted Butternut Salad (The dressing was really good.), Arepa Pastor (Nice kick to its spices), Wild Mushroom Ragout (The waitress applauded this choice and although it was a relatively small plate they were very good!), and the closer was the lemony Queso de Cabra whose melted goat cheese served as dessert. If you go make sure your friends like to share food because this experience is all about sharing. Sharing delicious and filling food ... no room not temptation to check out the ice cream window. The doors swung open towards a rain drenched street and we looked at each other agreeing that the BLK SHP is a great choice to meet for dinner. I don't know what's in the middle at 1301 Kings Highway in Swedesboro and the Red Hen is to the left but comfort and great food are on the right at the BLK SHP.

The ambiance of Amada's is very "date night intimate". The lighting is fairly dim and the temperature of the restaurant is kept a bit warmer (the open marches concept probably also has something to do with that). It is tapas style so whole my boyfriend and I waited for the paella, we got a few plates to graze on. We started with a charcuterie with the jamon Serrano and manchego cheese. Im a big fan of truffle honey and you can't really go wrong with a simple charcuterie. We also got the setas and ensalada Verde. The mushrooms were well sautéed and the sauce they were served with was absolutely delicious. The ensalada verde was very much green heavy but thats exactly what we wanted. It was auite refreshing and the oil dressing wasn't overpowering the taste or making it feel greasy. The Paella we got was the squid ink rice - very flavorful. There was shrimp, clams, squid, and chucks of monk fish. It didn't feel like the seafood was skimped on. The only thing I personally felt was too much was the spicy mayo dallops. I felt like they made the dish feel heavier than necessary and overpowered the taste of the rice. The arroz con Leche was divine. Im biased because I love rice pudding but I think adding the puffed rice on touch was such a nice touch.
