It was a super hot night out so we asked to be seated inside and they were able to accommodate us. Apparently inside seating is actually reserved for walk-ins so good to know for those who can't get a Resy! The food was good enough but I think the ambiance of the place and the amazing service really made the experience worth it for me. Definitely don't skip the hanger steak--it's perfectly medium rare and juicy. The tomato toast was flavorful but the toast was pretty thick and hard to bite into especially around the crust, although that might just be a me problem. I look forward to doing a walk-in to try their dessert sometime before the pop-up wraps up!

We had their sinigang na salmon, sizzling pork sisig, and banana pudding dessert. -Sinigang na salmon: 8/10 -Sizzling pork sisig: a bit on the fattier side for my liking but still great nonetheless! 8/10 -Banana pudding dessert: 10/10; we melted on the first bite. The condensed milk in the cream complemented the banana and cake perfectly! Would definitely return just for this dessert. DRINKS We had their banana latte and calamansi drinks. Both were light and refreshing! SERVICE The staff are very kind and friendly! AMBIANCE There are two floors-- both offering a nice view of the restaurant and the street below. In the daytime, the place functions as a cafe, where guests often come to catch up with friends or study/work. At night, the place transforms into a cozy, intimate space to enjoy a nice meal with friends and loved ones. Ample seating is available on both floors, ranging from tables for 8-10, counter seating, and smaller tables for smaller tables for 2-4. PARKING Paid street parking is available at a limited capacity.

A lot to say about the restaurant and experience…read more Cute little spot. But very busy. We went during brunch hours on Saturday. Be very cautious when going with a group. Went with a group of about 7 or 8 and it was very difficult to get seating. The time you walk through the door, order your food, and to receive it will take quite a while. By 11:30 on Saturday, they have to stop people from walking in and wait outside until the line inside shortened. For anyone looking for the most authentic Filipino food, this is not the place. With that said, the food is still good. It has a Filipino flare, with a modern, for the masses, feel. Would try the place, but not frequently.

Half the fun is looking around and trying to figure out which movie or TV show inspired each decoration. Christmas music plays nonstop. There's a fixed drink menu and no seating, so it's very much a stand-and-hang-out kind of place. From what we heard, it can get pretty packed later in the evening, but we arrived right when it opened at 4:00 PM and had no wait at all. It ended up being a great place to kick off the night. The cocktail list is entirely Christmas-themed--festive and fruity flavors. The cocktails are served in Christmas themed vessels. If cocktails aren't your thing, they do offer beer and seltzer options as well. It's a fun, high energy stop that's perfect for soaking in some holiday spirit.

Summer Salt in concept, is an exciting, inventive meal, with a focus on locally sourced…read moreingredients. In reality, this was a grossly overpriced meal for a lot of hit/miss items and rather small portions. To start, we reserved the covered patio. The chairs were wildly uncomfortable with no low back support. Service was friendly and attentive, always refilling waters and clearing plates. I do appreciate how the staff acknowledged our special occasion and even printed a keepsake menu. This did not go unnoticed. Now for the food: You pay $95/pp for a 4 course meal. 6 small (shared) plates that are merely 1-3 bites per small plate, per person, and an entree and dessert of choice per person. $95 pp wouldn't be horrible if the small plates were executed properly and if you got more than 1 small parm crisp and 1 small fritter per person just as an example. The portions were laughable, and this was moreover a tasting. Some items needed simple basics such as salt and acid to round them out. The beet salad, green beans and fritters were severely underseasoned. The star of the show was the linguine and clams. We both ordered this. This portion was appropriate. Again, for the small salads/bites, a pasta dish per person and a slice of cake per person, a more appropriate price point would have been approx $55-75 per person contingent on your entree (there was also steak and fish). The lemon mirror cake was a nice ending to the meal and we appreciated the complimentary coffee. We left with the general consensus that it was good, not great, nor memorable, and felt we overpaid for the quality and portions. Of note: this is also a BYOB.

The spot on the water with the view of the dunes is gorgeous. I don't mind paying for an expensive meal. But over $100 a person for average portion size and no drinks (it's BYOB) is crazy. For that reason alone I wouldn't go back. I need at least one martini to justify paying $130 a person.

I went in, and the entire place is marked Self Service. You order at the kiosk and you pick up at the counter, whether dining in or taking out. Okay, fine. This was my first time. Staff is very friendly but difficult to understand, so I took my time translating foods. Settled on Manchurian paneer for the appetizer and a dry chicken (pachi mirchi kodi) biryani for my main course. Nice and spicy. I considered eating in vs. taking out; it's a modern bare place and there are several tables although nothing fancy (hard plastic and wood benches), but the main factor is that the drinks are overpriced. Maybe bring your own? Problem with the kiosk is that I can't just ask for water, nowhere to type in requests - though I do not recommend Parsippany water. Maybe the lassi is worth it but the cups weren't that large for $4 plus. One man's opinion. With that said, now that I've mentioned the kiosk, if you want or need to customize your order (allergies, add-ons, etc.), I do believe you can walk up and order in person as well. Spicy food home after multiple warnings. Verdict? Paneer: Less spicy and less crispy than I expected. Dipping sauces included, but at least one seemed like it was meant for the biryani. The white yogurt sauce I held onto. At least a solid portion size 3.75/5. Biryani: Meat buried under the rice. Good quantity, unique flavor for a "dry meat" dish that I had to look up. Spice maybe a touch hotter on this one. 5/5. Sauces: The brown sauce is thick and not spicy. Made it my dessert. White helped with the heat. Neither sauce was on the menu but they were thrown in with my order, which was nice. Verdict: Fun, convenient, and I'll keep it in mind to try some different things here as I pass every afternoon - but it's not dethroning my favorite.
