If you see me there just know....It's a WHOLE shin dig. The staff is cool. The food is good. The prices are reasonable. I would bring cash and make it easier for yourself. They have an ATM in the walkway, but I just can't see myself using it. It's a nice small bar for functions, but it can get busy in there. The parking is limited but plenty on the street. All in all it's a nice bar. P.s They are a chain too! Marty McGee's, Tumble Inn, and John Morton's all affiliate. I get the sense the staff might rotate between the bars, so expect good service everywhere.

Great service, great tavern food. Had the hand carved Roast Beef Sammy sharp provolone and long hots. Beef was juicy, roll was crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. Tater Tots where crispy and on point. Highly recommend checking this place out.

I have been driving by this place for 50 years. I am glad I finally stopped in. The bartender and cook loved talking about the new and improved John Morton's Tavern. The cheesesteak was tasty and had good ratios but small. The worst part; it was a Liscio roll but not up to the usual high quaity that I am use to. Overall good experience.

I had their wings and they were good, a little small in size but the taste was great.

It was called The Other Place, Prospectors, there was a place with a monster on the sign at one point? But before all that is was Pep's

We went in winter but I'm sure it's packed in summer. The Crab Cake Sandwich is a must. It's actually full of lump crab meat instead of just being a bunch of breading and filler. We also got the Loaded Cheese Fries and they were total comfort food. The portions are huge, Great service and we even forgot our cell phone and they kept it for us to pick up. Wonderful group of people.

Since there were no available tables outside, we were placed inside in a corner table with no air circulation. The humidity felt unbearable and really played a major impact on my experience. I'm sure if I came during a mid spring day I would've had a better experience. Food: the food is the only reason I would come here again. I got a crab cake that was very robust with a fair amount of filler but had a good amount of real crabmeat. My son got the quesadilla, and it wasn't anything special. The salmon was small and flavorful. Service: also was not anything special or bad. Our waitress came by twice during our stay. It was a busy afternoon and she was working. It would've been good if they had more staff so that someone could refill our water more frequently. Like I said, the humidity had taken away from our experience. Overall, I wouldn't come here throughout the hot, humid summer months, but I may give it a second try in the winter or spring... maybe.

This is one of those times. With the inaugural cruise out of Philadelphia, hundreds of people were staying at the Clarion Hotel and planning to eat and drink here. This wasn't a surprise. They had weeks to prepare. They had one waitress. One bartender. We walked in before 5 PM, got told to wait, then told to seat ourselves. Found the only open table--it was dirty. Sat there for a while with no service and eventually just left. Never even got to try the food. Big crowd, guaranteed business, and they weren't ready. That's the bottom line.
