We had fun playing pool and darts and the service was fast. Drinks reasonable prices. I'd recommend if you like a nice bar to play pool in.

This place looks really cool from the outside, the horse , western feel, and great location all make it seem like the perfect place to be. But unless you have nothing better to do or like wasting precious time at an extension of a beer store, I wouldn't really go here. Pros: really really really cheap beer. Also interesting atmosphere and decoration Cons: mostly locals. Also, not the best place to find your next boyfriend. read more

20 years ago, when I first came of drinking age in Delco, this used to be a place where I would frequent regularly, along with places like Julie's and Glennbo's. If there were ever a definitive list of Delco dive bars, this would be top of the list. I came in here for the hell of it last Saturday. I'm telling you that absolutely nothing here has changed for 20 years at least. No, out of town Yelpers searching on the app for local places to eat... This place is not for you. It's the most basic bar food menu you can get. I will say that the onion rings and wings both qualify as not too bad. But it's not a destination place to eat by any means. But they get to three stars because locals know that this place does pretty well on the takeout beer selection. If you want to drink a 6 pack that isn't the usual watered down crap, you can actually find something good here. But Jesus Christ, I came here for a half hour tops. No one was smoking anywhere near me. And somehow I still walked out smelling of smoke. It's like the smell has lingered there for over 20 years. read more

Great place except for the owner he is very rude and screams at people great food

The frontier saloon is cheap, honest and packed full of personality. I used to travel all over for work, and when home, I would take coworkers here to get the delco flavor. You'll walk out of there smelling like a smoker's index finger, but it'll be with a belly full of ice cold crispy boys and deep fried bar foods. The take out side has lots of good craft and import beers as well as the the standard domestics. Also of note are the two backlit squaw paintings, a treasure that few, if any other bars can boast of possessing. read more

Blonde with terrible fake brunette hair extensions is a phony and terrible bartender. The eagles biggest game vs Dallas she was all done up pro eagles really cute shirt, face stickers everything. I even complimented it. AS SOON AS THE GAME ENDED she went in the bathroom came out in sweatpants. I left coasters and my jacket at bar while I went to the bathroom, she took my $24 as a tip on my $5 bill while I was gone, claiming she "thought I left". Came back tonight and she intentionally ignored me for 35 MINUTES until I raised HELL. No way to treat a regular. read more

Is this place upscale? Do you have to dress in a stupid blazer to go? No. Will you find yourself smelling a little smokey after leaving? Probably. (They do have at least one smoke eater though) But regardless of the negative reviews on here, I love going to the Frontier. The food is good. The prices are great, even on the weekends.A Long Island will run you $10...but by God, it's worth it. Service is generally good. There is no cover charge and there is ample parking. Also worthy of noting is that they have free Wi-Fi. "Hillbillies" do not "overrun" the bar--which I find an incredibly disrespectful thing to say. It's a blue collar bar; it's the bar you want to go to when you don't feel like being judged by some snotty, classist individual. You will meet great people here from all walks of life and you can find conversation with pretty much anyone at the bar. A mixture of ages mingle in here all the time from 20-somethings (like myself) to your 70 year old regulars. The have 2 pool tables and an internet jukebox. Fridays are karaoke and Saturdays are DJ night. Karaoke is meant to be fun. Honestly, who cares if people are singing off-key if they're having a good time? If you're looking for a place to showcase your apparently under-appreciated musical skills then try a community talent show. The take-out is awesome. Wonderful selection of 6-packs and all are reasonably priced. They also have single bottles available if you want to build your own 6-pack, or just try a brew you've never had before. The only reason I'll give it a 4 star is because of the bathroom situation. The men's room does not have a lock and the women's room currently does not have a door on the stall. Amazing 6-pack selection in the store. Seriously, better than almost anywhere. Tons of micros, from Stone to Dogfish Head to tons of Belgians. Prices are very high but the selection is the best in the area by far. The bar has average beers on tap at good prices but the crowd is mostly blue collar smokers. It gets loud and you're trying to drink beer in a dark, dingy, smoke-filled bar full of super loud 30-50 somethings. Not my scene at all. read more

One of the worst places for take out craft beer. They advertise and have won (somehow) a best selection in Delco award but nothing could be further from the truth 1.) the prices here are very high. Expect to pay 2-3 dollars more for a six pack vs other places. (Even more then that depending on the brand/type of beer) 2.) the selection is mediocre at best and they often times have old beer past the sell by date available for purchase. If you do have to buy some beer here check for a bottled on date 3.) the people who work there are crummy and lousy at customer service. They are slow to ring you up and generally know very little about the beer they sell 4.) did I mention they were expensive? Once the acme in Ridley starts selling beer that should be the end of these guys or at the very least it will force them to lower their prices and respect their customers. read more

Frontier is a funny place, with it's shifting pictures on the wall and dive atmosphere. The beer selection is decent, and their prices are very good. Personally, I think they blare the music WAY too loud considering how small it is, especially on karaoke night, and the bathrooms are basically disgusting, but all in all it's a nice local place to relax and have a few drinks for a good price. Just be prepared to smell like smoke afterwards. Side note, the attached six pack store is awesome. Great selection and decent prices. read more

OK so the place need some spick and span. However, we had a lunch group get together and the food was unreal. SO Good. A Plus. Seating area could used some updating. Do not understand why they do not have a full lunch group going on. Our group was last min as Barnaby's was closed and Nick Place never open. So we where happy to find a place last min. Food and Service was A Plus. I hope they put some money into the dinning area. Our Group had a great time. read more

Let it be known that this review is for the bottle shop only. The actual bar is a complete and utter shithole. The attached bottle shop is amazing. The staff are great and very nice. Their prices on craft and mainstream singles are very good. Their 6 packs are a little overpriced but there's good deals to be had if you do your math. You can buy half a 30 pack here pre made. It's pretty great if you're heading out to a party. Their sale shelf is always good and has well priced glass ware and gift sets. read more

I only get take out from here. The woman behind the counter is miserable. Apparently they've sold to underage kids in the past, so she finds it necessary to rudely demand ID each and every time I'm in there. I don't mind being carded, it's when people take it too far & are jerks with it. This is local so I go there when I need too. But not my favorite beer run to make. read more

Fridays are karaoke night and the short little midget "karaoke operator" will allow no talent hacks to take up the whole night singing off key in an attempt to be amusing and those of us with a modicum of talent's microphones are turned down due to the jealousy of his troll like girlfriend, especially if the singer is talented AND attractive. The service sucks and the place gets overrun by a bunch of hillbillies who get drunk and act obnoxious. Definitely not a place for people with class or good breeding. The food is horrendous and the bathrooms are filthy. The bathrooms have no locks, and their soap dispensers are mustard containers. If the toilet actually flushes, it's a miracle indeed. If you want to see inbred people whose family trees fail to branch, this is the place for you. read more

The Front, is by far my favorite classic delco bar. Cheapest beers on the block, as much as you try to avoid the high school reunion at every bar on macdade at least the reunion at the front is more the crowd you cut school with. Started going here when I turned 21 (2004) and it was pretty much all old heads but now its flooded with people under 30 on most nights but still a mixed crowd. Friday is karaoke, and theres also pool tables and a cheap juke box. Nothing beats the bathroom coin machines with the vibrating panties and condoms haha (they aren't actually in there). Don't forget to watch the wall with the native american women, every so often their clothes disappear. read more

It's funny to me that someone complained about the djs choice on music when he literally takes request from anyone. If you want to listen to something just ask instead of taking to yelp and whining. And for the record everyone else was enjoying themselves and the music, hence the many sing alongs as I was there that evening so one person's opinion amongst the large group that was there is quite invalid. read more

This place was fun when management and bartenders had a working relationship with thier patrons. Now it's become clear that they don't care about anything but thier own "power". My boyfriend and I come here often.. they have great specials and friendly (mostly) staff. Deb is the best. We have stopped coming here because the happy hour croud ran us out and made us feel unwelcomed. The patrons there are a typical delco people. All in all Deb is great and the happy hour crowd stinks. It's amazing that the cumulative IQ of an entire building can be less than the average intelligence of a third-grader. The music is way too loud, the people are more abrasive than wool underwear. The waitresses and bartenders are drunker than skid-row bums. HOWEVER- if you want a great selection on takeout beer- this is the place to go!!!! read more

Without reading any other reviews, I say this: Frontier Saloon is a dying breed. It's a Dump; it's a Toilet; it's a Dive Bar; it stinks, it's old; it needs a complete overhaul of everything except its customers and its staff. This is the kind of bar we look for wherever we travel, because this is where you will enjoy your evening. I would not recommend the food. I recommend only the camaraderie. Newly transplanted from the city (Philly), we went there for the first time and had more fun in one night than we had in all our 7 months combined experience in Delaware County. I don't smoke; been a quitter for over 30 years, but I will trade the funky smell for the friendliness and old-fashioned night out (meaning, the people next to you will actually talk to you) . This place is an experience: No Yuppies need apply. You won't get it, trust me, and nobody will care. I will return. read more

Aside from the smoking, I love this bar. Cheap beer but such a great selection. And surprisingly the food is really good. Our favorite is the chicken fingers and french fries, no doubt. We would definitely go more if it was non-smoking but I'm not sure if that will ever happen. Also, the bathrooms can be pretty disgusting so be prepared for that! read more

This is my 4th or 5th time here on a weekend usually on a saturday night. However tonight the dj threatened to have me kicked out because i told him he sucked as a dj and should keep up with current times instead of playing 80's music the entire night that no one seemed to enjoy but him.
