We had fun playing pool and darts and the service was fast. Drinks reasonable prices. I'd recommend if you like a nice bar to play pool in.

Great selection of 6 packs including craft beer. Smoking is allowed in the bar next door and seeps into the takeout area.

I love a diner. I'm originally from the northeast but live in SC now and we just don't have the…read moresame kind of diners that I had before - don't get me wrong, I love a Waffle House but it's not the same. This was a really great spot. My coworker and I were over in North Jersey for work but flew in and out of PHL rather than facing Newark. In order to beat the crazy construction traffic outside of Philly and to have a buffer for whatever TSA nightmare we were going to face, we got back near the airport early... like 4 1/2 hours before our flight kind of early. I wanted breakfast outside of the airport so I found this spot while he was refilling the rental car. I got the French toast with homefries. The french toast was perfect, with just a tiny bit of crisp in spot from the griddle. Same with the homefries. I would have liked a bit more seasoning while they were cooking, but a bit of salt and pepper and I was good to go. My coworker got the big breakfast but subbed out the homefries for corned beef hash. While I'm not a fan of corned beef hash, it looked exactly like how my mom and grandfather like it, with a little bit of crisp to it. The pancake was huge and he said his over medium eggs were cooked exactly like he hoped they would be. Now I just need to plan out my flights so I can come get breakfast here again and try one of the sandwiches, or omelettes, or maybe get French toast again...

Today was no exception. Their grilled chicken sandwich was not what I hoped for. On the plus side, it was a generous portion of chicken, most of which I took home. As a negative -- at least for me -- I like a flat filet, with grill marks. This was "chunky," rendering it clumsy to eat. It simply didn't taste grilled at all. And the chicken was dry. T ordered a country omelet that was filled with breakfast meats, cheddar and peppers. Though not my thing, I agreed it was pretty good. His grits were creamy, buttery and delicious. Coffee is strong and served in the old-fashioned heavy mugs that I favor. Our server was friendly. ("Where are you from?" she asked, picking up on my Brooklyn accent.) I asked if Greek lemon soup is ever on the menu. She said that the owners are Turkish, then gave me a rundown of their specialties, all of which sound delish. (Alas, no avgolemono.) I wouldn't hesitate to return to Folcroft. The menu is diverse, the restaurant is clean -- as pointed out by another Yelper AND our waitress. If you order the right thing, you'll no doubt be pleased.

Chickie's & Pete's - Pete's Philly famous cheesesteak

I had said…read morethat I was craving a good Philly cheesesteak sandwich and they said this was the best one there. The service when you arrive they were very nice. Let you sit wherever you want and was very attentive. The waitress was great. She knew what to recommend and to even try it the way she has it and I couldn't have agreed more. I got the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with mushrooms and onions and some kind of special cheese and it was delicious. Definitely large so big enough to share with someone. Then I got the combo fries which were sweet potato fries and regular and they had the crab seasoning on it, which was delicious. I would honestly keep coming back here whether I'm in town and I go to the restaurant or at the airport. The place is not big but they do have a full bar as well and plenty of charging outlets so it's really nice in there and good music as well. Oh, they also have TV screens for you for sport fanatics

The wings were cooked perfectly, crispy, flavorful, and hot! They came out piping hot. It was seat yourself, but the staff was very attentive and came right over when they saw me sit down. The waitress was lovely and let me sit there for a bit after I ate.

Passyunk Steaks - The worst Philly cheesesteak I've ever had

I've tried airport Genos with little culinary impact (although I'd argue the brick and mortar doesn't churn out the best sandwiches either). I saw I'd be walking by Passyunk's on my way to the next gate, so I gave it a try. Order at one of two kiosks and anything you select will be given by the vendor (i.e., do not grab your beverage from the adjacent, self-service store front; they're different companies). The service was quick and easy, which is great for anyone rushing to their next flight. The resulting sandwich, however, was underwhelming. I absolutely agree and confirm what Yelper Alicia B. notes; Passyunk skimps on cheese whether you pay for extra or not. After ten years of regular travel, I know it's not impossible to find flavorful meals in an airport...but they're still rare. Often times it feels as if eateries don't try because they don't have to--you're in an enclosed environment with minimal choices and you often need sustenance. Sadly, I'd lump Passyunk's in that category. If you are interested in filling your belly, it'll do. If you're looking for a great cheesesteak, move on.
