952nd different cheesesteak eaten in the last 4 years. 5th stop on a day of cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan and his New Castle Cronies. We got a regular cheesesteak with fried onions & mushrooms and a cheesesteak wrap. This is going to be short and sweet. The cheesesteak was close to average. The wrap was not. Coaches is a nice, clean, big sports bar with plenty of TV's. Mary is awesome. Great place to hang out if your friends are into Lou Turks and you are not.

Mary Mary Mary Mary Mary Mary Mary... oh and Lambie and.. Krissy? After a 4 1/2 drive from CT to our hotel in Essington, we needed food and drinks. First we tried Monaghan's which reeked of cigarettes and had blaring loud music. We walked in and we walked out. Opening our car doors, we saw the sign for Coaches across the street and decided to give it a try. Walking in the door, we paused for a second to decide where to sit and were instantly noticed by a group sitting at the corner, who jokingly invited us in and pointed out some seats at the bar. I felt right at home and knew I was with "my people", as I tend to welcome conversations with strangers and always make friends at new bars. Our bartender was Mary, who asked for our IDs (why, thank you!) and not only repeated but REMEMBERED our names throughout the evening. She introduced us to the other bartenders and was unbelievably friendly. We stayed for a couple of drinks and cut out after an hour or so, but it was definitely a warm and welcoming environment. Everyone seemed to know each other and all got along. The karaoke wasn't TOO loud but was very entertaining. Plus we got to watch the Yankees lose, which always makes me happy. My only wish was that they had a more extensive menu available -- but, in all fairness, it was like 11pm and they only had fried foods, which is what people usually want at 11pm at the bar! I would have been happy with chips and salsa or something. Either way, this was a great night and I would recommend anyone in the area stop by.

Waitress was super helpful getting our personalized cheesesteaks and drinks to go fast. Cheesesteak was ur typical good Philly cheesesteak no complaints here. Atmosphere reminds me of the show Cheers.

Great service and good prices. The beer is cold, the wings and cheesesteaks are excellent.

Great drinks. Do not get the salad. It's worth about $1.50 and you are charged $7.99. Nice to watch sports on TV.

I almost thought it was closed, but nope! There wasn't a big crowd, but it was a Monday at 7pm. A bunch of regulars enjoying the space. It was fairly loud with music. Super friendly folks working here. Our server was very sweet and made some recommendations as well as advised the specials for the night. Small hiccup with the beer I was served, but it was wet, so I drank the beer I was given. Ordered up the baked clam special. BBQ sauce and cheese was an odd combination, but actually quite good. I had the mussels and spaghetti for dinner. I asked for the Diavolo sauce, but not sure I received it. The sauce was not spicy at all, but some added red pepper flakes did the trick. The mussels were fantastic and a ton of them too. Spaghetti was cooked well and swimming in sauce. Small loaf of warmed bread for dipping. My wife had a chicken cutlet sandwich and she found it a bit bland if I'm being honest. She dipped her bread in my sauce to give it a bit more flavor. They put on the home run derby which was appreciated. All in all, a fun stop. Not quite sure I'd return unless I needed a place to hang before that next run to PHL. They were very nice and appreciative of the business and we enjoyed our time dining here.

Went in for dinner on a Saturday night. Ordered chicken marsala and Reuben sandwich. Had two drinks…read morethey were okay. The Reuben had burnt homemade chips and wasn't very warm. We asked to replace the chips. By the time they brought it the sandwich was already finished. And then they charged us for the fries even though they burnt the homemade chips. My chicken marsala was warm but not hot. Not even so much as a roll. Overall I would say go to the one in Newtown square stay away from the one in Drexel Hill. They're expensive for what you get and I think the McDonald's would be better deal across the street. That's not saying much good on Casey's restaurant Drexel Hill. But if you're angry at someone good place to recommend they'll have a miserable dinner.

I recently visited Casey's three times for lunch and came away with good experiences on each trip…read more I found parking was easiest in the rear parking lot. It was not crowded at all. I sat at the upstairs bar my first two times. The staff was friendly and there were only a few other people there. The inside was clean and it looked like the staff kept busy cleaning and organizing the place. On my last visit I sat in the downstairs area called the dugout. It had a similar bar to the upstairs with TV's showing sports highlights, but they had music playing. I really liked the old baseball gloves bordering the room. There were way more people coming into the dugout for lunch, so I suppose the upstairs is a quieter choice (for lunch anyway). They had some PA skills games and a PA lottery machine tucked away in a room next to the bar. I had three different servers and they were all super friendly. I loved that they recommended menu items instead of giving the generic "everything's good here", or the dreaded "idk I don't eat anything from here." Top recommendations were any of the burgers, most of the wraps, roast beef sandwich, reuben, crab cake and the turkey sandwiches. The homemade kettle chips were suggested over fries with a side of ranch dip. I had the bacon cheddar burger the first time. It was sizeable and good, but not great. The chips were delicious and although I hate ranch in any form, the girl was right, dipping the chips in it was a good idea. Second go around I had the Buffalo Chicken Wrap - crispy chicken, bleu cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato and red onion. I added fries instead of chips for $3 and regretted it. The fries were soggy, bleh and certainly not worth the extra charge. Stick with the chips! The wrap was ok, little loose, not as full as most places. The chicken was chopped up and had kick, bleu cheese was complimentary and not overpowering, red onion provided some extra zing. It was an ok to good meal. Third time I went with The Turkey Grill - carved turkey, crispy bacon, roasted red peppers and provolone cheese on grilled sourdough bread. The bread was somewhat toasted and saturated with butter and turkey gravy. The turkey itself was a little dry, the portion size of the sandwich was fine, but it lacked flavor. Chips and pickle spears were appreciated. Looking at the menu for a future visit, I'd probably try the ribs, a cheesesteak or wings. The upper floors have outside seating during the warmer months and that looks like an absolute win for a return trip. Overall, I wasn't blown away by any of the food. Similar/better options can be found not too far, but I can see the appeal of Casey's as a regular neighborhood bar. The various dining options plus full bar - tables, bar seating with TV's, upstairs, downstairs, outside makes it extremely versatile for any occasion. Thanks guys!
