The new menu features so many amazing food options. The chicken tortilla soup is absolutely delicious! The staff and decor is wonderful!

We had a great 40th birthday party for our son. Kelly did a great job helping with the planning. Conner & Chelsea were amazing through the entire event. Everyone loved the food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great venue for your next event.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I got the Delco cheesesteak. Once again I wish I took a picture of the menu. From memory, it had fried onions, green peppers, red peppers and habanero cheese. The roll, oh the roll. Very good roll I just wish it had sesame seeds on it. I saw a Liscio's roll box as I was leaving. The meat was very good and did not get lost in the peppers and habanero cheese. The meat seemed more ripped than chopped. The peppers and habanero cheese were everywhere and were great complementors and not dominators. This was a very well-made bar/restaurant cheesesteak. This is definitely a 1st date, impress the future in-laws and/or get out of the dog house cheesesteak.

I think the place has changed names . Honestly, not sure what it was but must be recent because I can't find a Yelp listing. I only gave this place 3 stars. Those that read my reviews know I try to give everyplace and everyone the benefit of the doubt. This is the best I could do. I'll explain. Ive road past this place a million times traveling between upper Darby and the Blue Route heading back to Delaware. Always wanted to try it and finally did . Sat outside and our server was very pleasant as she handed us the specials list while informing us that they were all out of everything on that list PLUS, a few regular menu items. She also apologized ahead of time for our service being slow, as she was double the work of 3 servers. Since we only had about 5 options (lol... I'm exaggerating of course), I decided to keep it simple and got the Delco Cheesesteak. It was very good (although for the pice, you'd think they would throw in some fries or at least chips). I ordered a basket of fries on the side and although a little on the cold side by the time they came, were the closest thing to Thrashers French Fries (if you don't know, you better find out) this side of Rehobeth Beach. So, the saving grace for this place was pleasant disposition of the server, and the fries. Look, we are in crazy times. I'm gonna give it a year and try again.

Delicious, cheesey Prime Rib Flatbread for $10.

For me, from 2 to 4 stars in 5 years is an impressive accomplishment for any restaurant and these folks have become force in the Havertown restaurant/bar scene. I'm delighted to have experienced their evolution. Irish family owned the ATMOSPHERE here is classic pub/saloon with lots of dark wood and two full bars. There are about a dozen taps at the bars. You wouldn't call this a craft beer place but there are certainly crafts available both tap and bottle. The bartenders are excellent and kudos to management as most have been around for several years. The FOOD here is classic American with a few Irish influenced dishes thrown in. The menu here is extensive and it would be difficult for most folks not to find something that interests them. Expect the portions to be large. You can add Blackened Chicken or Blackened Salmon to some of the salads and I would highly recommend that. A huge spinach salad with blackened chicken is about $13 and fantastic. A very good burger will set you back $8-10 depending on your choice of toppings. They are famous for their Baked Clams at about $11. They have recently updated their menu and I was the first to try the Prime Rib Flatbread with caramelized onions for $10. It was filling and delicious! SERVICE here won't be a problem. The owners spend a lot of time on site and the staff is well trained. In addition the kitchen staff knows how to get your food out pretty darn quick. If you're in the neighborhood and looking for an adult libation, you'd feel welcome here. If you are looking for a Classic American dinner/drinks without taking out a second mortgage they would also be a solid choice.

I went for the "The Van Gogh". It was a very light cocktail, and I wasn't expecting much from it. It was interesting to read some of Van Gogh's life and to see his paintings in a moving visual or in a 3D dimensional type of way. Afterwards, you can color one of his paintings with medium sized crayons and/or do the virtual reality (which I did not purchase). I think the price for the weekend was way too expensive for what was offered. The entire experience was decent. Also, was able to find nearby street parking and downloaded the needed app for meter parking.

I've never been disappointed with my food here, and you like pub fare you're sure to find something on the menu that will hit the spot. Worth checking out.

I ordered the roast beef sandwich with fries...my friend ordered muscles and the ham sandwich special. The muscles arrived cold. Not warm, not tepid...just cold. They were sent back for a trip in the microwave which is a place that shellfish should never journey too...if you want them to remain tender. When I ordered, I asked about a few items and was assured that "people love the roast beef". Now I've had "French Dip" style roast beef before at other restaurants, and when done right...it's a memorable experience. Crusty toasted torpedo style roll brimming with thinly sliced hot beef...provolone cheese melted over the top and down the sides...served with a side of au jus dipping sauce, that you would want to slurp down a soup bowl full. But this...was not that! The sandwich arrived on a hamburger style bun...the meat was piled "adequately" in the center but sloped off considerably as it headed for the edge of the bun. There was no need to worry about meat falling out as I took a bite...as none of it protruded past the buns edge. The cheese was there...a single uninspired round slice covered the cold and somewhat soggy bottom of the bun... and wasn't melted...at all! I suspect that the kitchen assumed that the meat would melt the cheese...but the meat would have to be hot for that to happen. In this sandwich...the closer you got to the middle of the "meat mound"...the colder it got. And little did I know when asked if I wanted provolone on the sandwich...that it would be an additional charge. Now for my fries. They weren't hot...they weren't even warm...they were "ice cold"! I sent them back light heartedly joking that there must be a door open in the kitchen (it was a cold evening) and the server returned shortly with hot fresh ones...minus the pickles that were on my plate. This goes to show that fries can reach the table...hot. The hot ham and cheese sandwich "special", served on a pretzel bun, wasn't hot...and wasn't special. I saw no melted cheese...only thin dry slices of ham, stiff as roofing shingles, protruded from the roll. There was no mustard...no sauce...no "something special" to make the "special", special... just stiff little sad ham planks...wondering where they went wrong On both recent visits...the service has been "spotty". (I know that cell service in the pub isn't spotty, because on my first visit...both servers had their heads buried in their phones). It doesn't seem like there's a real system in place for insuring that the customers receive "attentive" service. To their credit...they did remove the muscles from the check without us asking...but I never got a feeling that the next party to walk through the door...would have a better experience. When you find a good local pub with great food...it's like going to eat at grandmas house. You know that you'll always leave feeling warm, wanted, and fed really well. And you'll be excited by the thought of a return visit. I'm still looking.

The Palombaro Club is one of two private social clubs in Ardmore. They are both on the same block of County Line Road, hence the name "Big Club" (the other club, the IACCA, is the "Little Club" because it's 1/3 the size). They have been here for a very long time, easily 40 years or more. The venue itself has an upper floor with a large hall, stage, long bar and catering kitchen. There's also a coat room and restrooms in the vestibule. The space with catering tables could hold 75 with a dance floor, 100 - 125 without a dance area. It is clean, well kept, not 'elegant' but also not 'tacky'. There are two flat screen TVs above the bar, for us we had them broadcast the playoff game which made folks happy. There is no smoking permitted in the large hall. The lower level is the social club with a larger bar, smaller tables, much more of a bar/club environment (people do smoke cigarettes down there, but you could not smell or hear anything from downstairs when on the upper floor). They sometimes will rent that out (Superbowl party, anyone?). This is a club run by the members, Charlie is the 'coordinator' for rentals, he is a sweet, straight-talking guy who works professionally as a glazer. He can be a bit hard to get and is not always at the club, but he is a seriously nice and accommodating man. They do not have a website or a club email, you call the club and ask for Charlie. He does return calls pretty quickly. Now the BEST part? Almost shamefully inexpensive. Your party dollar will go far with them. They supply a bartender and the alcohol (you can specify what options you want to offer, they run an open tab for you or you can cash bar). With my first review during the early days of 2014, I was impressed with what I saw there while being critical of what needed grounds for improvement. Now nearly ten years later I need to give due thanks to them not only for fixing the snafus that I saw but also for exceeding expectations in a lot of the other departments! The first thing I love is AMH's commitment to the local area which you see in their partnership with Ripplewood that sees them sharing a kitchen and a lot of events. But you also see it in the local acts that they bring in on a regular basis, and the exterior events that they provide the music for like outdoor shows in Suburban Square, and the big Ardmore Rock n' Ride Festival. During the pandemic, AMH helped keep my sanity by still live-streaming events like two nights of the Philadelphia Music Festival and a super fun Living Colour show. I've also grown to appreciate the the brews and food that they bring have since all the food comes from Ripplewood, and their tap list might just be the most extensive and reasonably priced that I've seen for a music venue. The main reason to go to AMH is the shows. And in the past few years I've been able to see local acts like The Dead Milkmen, Low Cut Connie, and Japanese Breakfast; and well known acts like Flock of Seagulls, Fishbone and Chameleons (UK) play here. Toss in things like dance partiea and beer festivals, and it definitely runs the full gamut of providing a good time.
