It's fairly small with 7-8 tables and a dozen or so bar stools inside, but they have an outdoor seating area as well as a table out front. This table is the one without a TV in site. The bartenders were well versed in soccer, and many of the patrons were tuned into the game too, but some just came for drinks and food. They have a nice selection of beers handy and the menu had a surprising number of good options. I finally went with the burger and am so glad I did! It was absolutely gorgeous and cooked a perfect medium. My first bite and I knew it was a fresh patty. I asked if they made them in house but they actually get them from Wells, a Philly staple for good meats. Came with an ample portion of shoestring fries which were hot and crisp. Can't wait to head back and try some more of the menu options. If I can tear myself away from the burger anyway...

There is a large parking lot making it convenient. The outdoor space has many tables and fire pits, and lots of turf to make it more cozy. While they didn't have anything while we were there, there was also a stage which sometimes has Irish dancing and other entertainment under a large outdoor tent. There are also outdoor TVs. The indoor space looks decent too, but we only popped our heads in - seems like a typical bar type setup with a festive crowd. We chose our own outdoor seats since they weren't busy, and were quickly brought waters and menus. We ordered the Bavarian pretzel, and opted to split a roast pork sandwich. (Sadly, I was too hungry and didn't snap pics of that part). The pretzel is huge and came with mustard and cheese -- overall, the perfect soft pretzel. Good thing we decided to split the sandwich because it was also huge. Flavor was good and we were both satisfied. Simple presentation and no fuss - kind of what we expected with the name Yard Pub. The beer I got wasn't great, nor were their options, so keep that in mind. Overall, the service was friendly and we found our meal and experience to be exactly what we were looking for. We actually sent my in-laws here when they were in town watching our dog and they enjoyed it as well.

Our drinks were empty for most of the meal, and we had to ask another server just to find her. One of our drinks was made wrong, and when we finally got her attention, she seemed annoyed she needed to come to our table and actually walked away while we were still talking, which felt really dismissive. What makes it more frustrating is that there's an automatic 18% gratuity even for small tables. I ended up having to tipping $22 total, and for only seeing her a handful of times, it definitely didn't feel deserved. To top it off, when I mentioned to the head bartender (who was acting as the manager) that I wouldn't be coming back, he pulled $40 cash out of his own wallet and offered it to me to "give them another chance." It honestly made me feel so uncomfortable and was not an appropriate way to handle the situation. The food was fine, but the service and overall experience were not. For the prices and the built-in tip, I expected much better. I will not be returning.
