Went here early Saturday afternoon with my son and daughter and we all loved it. The burgers were perfectly cooked and very flavorful and the fries were crispy and well seasoned. Portions were solid. They have a great beer selection on tap as well as a huge selection of seltzers and canned beverages. It was also reasonably priced compared to similar establishments in Havertown. Will definitely be one of my go to spots moving forward. read more

Fabulous local pub! Pork sandwich is the bomb! First time here on a Friday lunch hour. Not crowded. The atmosphere is spacious and updated decor. Great selection of beers and liquor. The Manoa tavern was previously closed, but has been renovated and newly opened. This place was known for being a dive bar before, so I had never been here. We decided to try it one night for dinner. It was very nicely done inside and looks like a nice restaurant now. It is fairly small, but we were able to get a table in a few minutes on a week night. For apps, we started with the fried Mac and cheese and wings. Both were great. I loved the fried Mac and cheese and the sauce that was on it was so good. For my entree, I ordered the roast beef sandwich. The roast beef sandwich was great and a good sized portion. However, the roast beef itself was a little too salty. Service was good. Overall, this is a nice spot for bar food. I would come here again. read more

You need to dive below the dive bar classification to describe this place. It's in a row of store fronts that is not the best example of Havertown. Parking is street only unless you want to cheat and park in the nearby church lot. Not a good thing. This place is dark dark dark. This could be a place where nobody will know your name because they can't see you! Cheap drinks and average bar food. There are plenty of other better places in Havertown to have a drink. read more

I looked on Yelp when searching for a local business to support by getting take out during lock down. We have ordered multiple times now. Their food is great! The quality is excellent and flavors leave us wanting to come back. They truly care about their food and customers. The chicken sandwich and the roast beef sandwich are great even when getting take out. I often find Au jus watery and bland so I have been hunting for a good roast beef. Its spot on here and the Au jus has just the right amount of saltiness. Also, I always get wings and this placed knocked my socks off. The wings are large and spicy. The blue cheese is perfect. Simple menu (mainly bar food with a few salads thrown in) executed well. Portions are extremely generous. Beer list was really well-planned to appeal to craft beer lovers and haters alike. You can have a Miller Lite or a Singlecut Pilsener....your choice. Great, friendly service from people who want you to know their names and put forth effort to know yours. Lots of TV's for sports fan, but with volume off (with modern rendition of jukebox covering the silence). I've been driving past the Manoa Tavern my entire life and never went in before tonight but with the new renovation we wanted to give it a try. I love the menu! Each item is named after a Havertown resident; my mom knew half the people on there which was fun to read through. The space looks great and the waitress was nice and it's fun to hear she's the owner's daughter. Only downside to our experience was there are no printed drink menus which made it awkward to order and the bar tender gave me the wrong drink and didn't seem to care. Ah well, not going to kill me to drink a Pilsner instead of a sour. Overall, fun local spot that's looking great after the remodel. read more

Recently changed hands and renovated, decor is sharp- rough wood plank and brick with a gorgeous long bar. Food menu has something for everyone and the beer list is impressive. I had the wedge salad and our daughter (who should be a cheesesteak egg roll critic!) says Manoa Tavern's are among her favorite! Servers are very friendly. What a great meal we just had at the Manoa Tavern! Good job Bill Shields!!! The waitress was excellent (Caroline) and the food was delicious. We had cheese steak egg rolls as a starter that were filled with delicious, tender steak. And we had the best roast beef sandwich I ever had. It was on a delicious seeded roll with a generous serving of fries. The sandwich was big enough that my husband and I could have shared it. We brought fries home. The roast beef was melt in your mouth tender and seasoned to perfection with melted cheese. And the au jus was a delicious finish to each bite. The crowd was a local crowd and everybody seemed to know everybody. The interior is fixed up really nice creating a pub type atmosphere. We will definitely go back again. Great little bar. What a wonderful place to buy a pint and play some games... Shuffleboard, pinball, and darts... they have it all. Prices are reasonable although I don't feel like I come here enough to make a good judgement call on that. Jukebox plays good tunes, just bring some friends and have a good time. We stopped in never having been there before. We were pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere and the staff. Our server Shannan was awesome and the most delightful person that you could have waiting on you. The atmosphere, drinks and food were good. The only thing we think they were missing are signature drinks. Add that and it's our go to place. read more

Dive Bar, no more. Some may not like that. I'm an Ivy Inn / Burke's survivor, so I can appreciate a local place that hasn't changed in 40 years. It's an incredible transformation. But they still saved the local flavor with local schools and names on the menu. It's still a hometown, 'local' bar but very kid friendly (during the day, I'm sure) when we went for lunch. It feels much bigger than I remember it. Great beer selection and really good food. Not a huge menu but what we had was excellent, especially the cheesesteak egg rolls which my son gets everywhere. Difference here was that they clearly made them...not a bag full of frozen product to throw in the fryer. They were delicious...like a Philly cheesesteak from a classic steak shop...in an egg roll.
