My friend and I had the cheesesteak egg rolls as our appetizer which were very good and tasty. The crust was nice and soft but had a nice crunch to it. I had the Pan seared Atlantic salmon, and this was on a bed of rice with a nice sauce and topped with broccoli rabe. The salmon was cooked to perfection the way I like it, and was so delicious. One of the best salmon entrees I have had in a long time. I do wish Streetlight restaurant was closer to New York City because I would love to have the salmon again, it was that good! For dessert I had the brownie sundae and my friend had the warm apple crumb cake, both were very good and yummy!!! Thank you Streetlight for wonderful meal. I look forward to visiting again in the future. Cheers!

The outdoor patio has 3 TV's, a bar, ample seating, beautiful botanical walls and fire pits. It's truly a cozy vibe. We had the pleasure of having Branden as our server and hands down, he's awesome! Great personality and attentive but not overbearing. He explained the bartender was backed-up and let us know it was going to be a little wait for our cocktails. I appreciate honest communication and setting of expectations. What We ordered: Buffalo Shrimp - the shrimp were Jumbo and they had a pleasing presentation and taste. They were room temperature as if they had been sitting but we still njoyed them. Calimari & Shrimp - These were hot and delicious Cheesteak Eggrolls - These were hot and very flavorful. The Espresso and Lemon Drop Martinis were excellent... Cheers to the bartender! (unfortunately I did not get her name but it was Saturday night, June 8, 24) You know who you are and kudos to you. This was my first time here but definitely not my last. I highly recommend you pay them a visit.

I visited on July 12, 2026, and unfortunately had one of the worst experiences I've had here. Our server seemed overwhelmed at first, which I completely understood because the restaurant was busy. We ordered our meals and were told they were out of scallops. While disappointing, I understand that these things happen. The bigger issue was the wait. We waited well over 45 minutes for our main courses. Again, I tried to be patient because they were busy, but when the food finally arrived, the problems continued. My son's meal had already been changed because there were no scallops available, and then we were told they had also run out of baked potatoes. The biggest disappointment was my meal. I have ordered the Shrimp Dom Anthony for at least the last 10 years, and for the second time this year it was not prepared correctly. The sauce should be a blush sauce, but instead it was the wrong color and, more importantly, it didn't taste right. At the end of the meal, I mentioned this to our server and told her it also hadn't tasted right the last time I ordered it. Her response was, "Maybe it's time to make a change." That was very disappointing to hear because I come to The Clam Tavern specifically for that dish. She also mentioned that the head chef doesn't work Sundays, suggesting that may have been the reason. The last time, however, the explanation was that the chef was new. I've been a loyal customer for two decades because I know how good this restaurant can be. That's why it's so frustrating to see such inconsistency, especially with a signature dish I've enjoyed for years. I truly hope management looks into this because I'd love to continue recommending and visiting The Clam Tavern, but after two disappointing experiences with the same entrée, I'm not sure I'll order it again.

If I were comparing this to LA BBQ I would have to give it 1 star... if I were to compare it to NY, GA or even VA K-BBQ then it would get 2 stars. But if you are just judging things from Philly proper... I can give it 3 1/2 stars for the attentiveness of the staff and making sure that all the different meats are available and brought quickly. I just really think for the price, the quality of the meat should be much better. I don't know if people are eating too much and the restaurant needs to compensate for it, but some of the meats were cut too thick and the steak tasted a bit older. The best part of the meal were the 2 stews on the side. They were well seasoned and tasted great! I'll be back to try it again and see if there are any improvements.

The meats were good - in particular I enjoyed the Hawaiian steak, shrimp, and squid. I wish there were more vegetable options than just the mushrooms and onions, since there is just so much meat, but since we ordered the 'unlimited,' we just kept asking our server to bring out more mushrooms and onions. My only complaint is that the same tongs were being used to handle both raw and cooked meat - I always learned growing up to not cross-contaminate, and even when we have hot pot at home and similar dining in other restaurants, there are always at least two sets of utensils for this reason.
