Came here to pick up breakfast on a Saturday morning. I got the platter that came with eggs,a meat of your choice,and home fries. Everything was made fresh to order and it was delicious. The eggs were made perfectly and the home fries were amazing. They also give you a large portion of food so you will not be hungry afterwards. I ordered the hot links breakfast sandwich and it was amazing. Sandwich was made to order and came out very hot, so it'd hold up if you got it to go. I added the grilled onions to mine, and it went well with the sandwich. Toasted bun was on another level, like it was the perfect toasted bun. Once upon a time, I would eat at this place like every other day. Think quick, tasty, and filling breakfast. It's the perfect place to exactly what you want. Definitely order ahead. You won't go wrong with any of their breakfast sandwiches, burgers, or pretty much ANYTHING on the menu. UPDATE: Most recent visit was 02 June 2019. I was lucky enough to get to Philly for the Roots Picnic on 01 June with a friend and I told her we HAD to hit Tony Boys before heading back to Cleveland. I hadn't been to Philly in two years, and if you've had the hot beef, egg, and cheese on a Kaiser roll then you understand why I needed another one. I got some home fries too, for the culture. My friend got a turkey bacon, egg, and cheese with home fries as well and she loved it! Service was excellent, as always. I was lucky enough to see my guy Carmen behind the counter. I can't believe he remembered me! Things like that are what will make me go out of my way to get to Tony Boys. read more

If you want a delicious breakfast, but you don't feel like cooking, this is the place to go. The food is fresh and tastes good, just like it's homemade. They have eggs pancakes bacon scrapple grits home fries sausage and more. I usually get a sandwich or platter which I can eat for breakfast and have some left for lunch. I have eaten from here plenty of times in the past and I never had a problem. Today was horrible and I will not be returning. I'm very particular about my food and when it's made wrong I will bring it back especially when it's something on the sandwich I just do not eat... This place has great burgers and they are huge! I got a cheese burger, cheese fries and a soda combo for $5. The burgers are 6 oz. fresh beef and they are really tasty! The establishment is very clean and the owner and staff are very friendly. They also serve breakfast food as well as cheese steaks and hot dogs.
