    Classic cheesesteak.

This spot was recommended and it did not disappoint. The cheesesteak was delicious and filled with a hefty amount of meat, the staff was so nice and the restaurant ambiance was a welcoming pleasure.

My family and I flew into town to visit a friend before leaving for Amsterdam and my little sister desperately wanted to try an authentic Philly cheesesteak. This was where my friend took us and we couldn't have been happier! The place is clearly well loved and the cheesesteak we ordered were memorable. I'm honestly not a huge cheesesteak fan but I devoured mine and would totally go back! It's recommended you order ahead by phone, definitely on game days. A regular is large enough for two and a large is massive.

We had time for one cheesesteak in Philadelphia and Leo's was recommended to us by a local. The sandwiches are both massive and delicious. A small is about a foot long so don't order a large unless you want to feed your entire family. The sandwiches themselves are delicious but a bit different that what an outsider expects from a cheesesteak. The meat seems more like ground meat than the thinly sliced sheets often associated with cheesesteaks, but the final product is really good. Staff is friendly and fun to watch, as are the other customers. Come early because they are extremely busy at lunch. Be aware that there is no indoor seating. There are a few outside tables.

First time in Philly and heard Leo's has some of the best subs... that might be an understatement! I got the turkey hoagie and it was honestly one of the subs I've ever had! The mayo to turkey ratio was perfect and they LOADED it with turkey. We also got the buffalo chicken cheesesteak with bleu cheese and it was off the charts!! The workers were nice and the food was ready fast even though we ordered there. There's no seating inside but if it's nice out there's a very cute outdoor area with picnic tables and string lights. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Holy Moly! What have I been missing out on?! This is hands down one of the best cheesesteak in the region! They're massive and utterly delicious! Want onions, mayo, peppers? Done! Very cute spot with outdoor seatings. It was very clean inside and you can get fries, chips and soda with your cheesesteak! 12/10! Also, the workers were very kind.

They call this a "small". Perhaps in the land of giants?? :-)

Stopped into Leo's on the way back to PHL, to fortify myself for the flight home to BNA. It's easy to find; the building signage is very well displayed. It's a no-frills interior; a long counter, some drink coolers and chip racks; no real inside seating to speak of. I ordered a "small" (check the quotes) with cooper sharp and fried onions. They prepared it freshly, and handed it over well wrapped in butcher paper. I took my "small" sandwich, a bag of chips, and a bottled soda outside to sit on one their colorful picnic tables. I unwrapped the Sammy, and was just stunned at the size of a "small" and the amount of meat they managed to stuff into it. The small was about 12 inches, and contained, by my reckoning, about 1/2 cow. Holy moly! The meat was cooked well, and the cheese/meat/onion ratio was great. I managed to get about 1/3d of it in my belly, and then wrapped up the rest to take on the plane. There were some VERY jealous people on that flight. Sandwich, chips and drink ran about $18. Totally worth the price for a cheesesteak of this size and quality. Highly recommended for people with a big appetite (or 2-3 people interested in sharing a sandwich; note that they also offer a massive EIGHTEEN inch cheesesteak, in case you need to feed an entire extended family :=]).

I lived in Philly for 5 years and moved to California. Everyone I come back in town Leo's is a must stop! Love the ambiance and the energy. They when I leave I order like 3-4 to take back. No one can touch Leo's. Always best to call in as they can be busy at time.

Place is legit. I was shocked to see so many people come in and out even the area was freaking cold and surrounded by snow. Price is great for the portion you get and it tasted amazing. Reg size can prob feed two people. There's no dining area in the restaurant

Huge steak! Super fresh roll and good quality meat. Staff was friendly and it was busy. No indoor seating, but plenty outside.

I'm honestly disappointed. The reviews are the reason I chose this place today. The ONLY thing that was impressive was the amount of meat they provided. I had a cheese steak with cooper cheese (I could barely taste any cheese at all), mushrooms, S,P, K and fried onions. The steak had no flavor at all. The shop looked decent, I didn't notice any excessive dirt/trash and I noticed the cooks wore gloves (no hairnets though). I gave it three stars because the customer service was good (the food was a 2). I may give them another chance but I'm not sure yet.

Anytime I visit Philly Leo's is a must I didn't know it was possible to get better but this last time around they definitely pushed the needle with being the best hands down!!! Service was good food was better and speedy and love the renovations made to the place always a long time customer.

The biggest sandwich I've ever seen. At 18 inches, the large sized cheesesteak is more than enough for two people. Can call on the phone and order ahead. Ready within 15 minutes for pickup. Credit cards accepted.

One of the best cheesesteaks I've had throughout my life! It matched what I grew up with when visiting family in the Philly area. I'll definitely go out of my way to return to Leo's anytime I'm in Philly!! The service was great -- quick to take my order and typical time for cook time. The ambiance is what I see typical of a northern steak shop. Plenty of space for people to wait for their orders and an abundance of chips and drinks for purchase. Don't think twice, just go!! You'll be do happy you did. As far as parking goes, it is (free) street parking.

Leo's is legendary for the best cheesesteaks in Delco! Don't get the 18" because the regular size has like a pound of meat and cheese on it.

Sidebar: I've got a fun'ish story from about 50 years ago involving the intersection right in front of Niko's. That's a story for another day. I ordered my usual cheesesteak with fried onions on a seeded roll. While ordering, I watched them make another cheesesteak. I liked that they cover the meat while it cooks. I was a little concerned watching them layer and fold the meat together as it cooked. I took my cheesesteak over to Ship Bottom Brewery Blendary and Barrel House in Swarthmore. When I unwrapped it, I could tell immediately this was going to be the tale of two cheesesteaks. Top bite: meat and roll. Bottom bite: cheese and fried onions. Now, after watching my own video this morning, this might actually be the tale of three cheesesteaks. The leftover half looks like it has a lot more cheese and onions -- and that half is looking very promising. Also, I absolutely love the off-season hazy sour from Ship Bottom Brewery.

Let me get back to it. Arrived home and I opened my fries...they were crinkle cut. Love a crinkle cut fry. The cheesesteak was filling and hit the spot. You can get a cheesesteak on a seeded or plain bun. I prefer plain but you have the option. Would I go again? Maybe, but again working to try all options.

When I first stopped in here it was in a whim, and although they do have a selection of whimsical, sweet, dare I say, ridiculous and sweet coffee beverages, they were able to make me a traditional Italian macchiato. I had been unable to find a good, even passable REAL macchiato anywhere, and they delivered in spectacular fashion. Not only was the drink silky, strong, and small, it was made with outstanding Italian roasted espresso that has a different character than the standard, heavier-roasted American palate has come to be used to. This alone would have been enough for me to return time and time again when I was in the area, but after getting breakfast sandwich on a whim, this instantly became a weekly stop; more than that, a destination. Fast forward a few years and the initial attraction of coffee, sandwich, and friendly staff has transformed into a beautiful relationship where I can easily walk in, everyone knows me before I am all the way through the door, and even knowing my idiosyncrasies, are still excited to see me and listen to me prattle on about whatever might be the story of the day. The time spent here has given me the opportunity to try nearly everything on the menu and try every drink available. Including all the dry goods, pasta for sale, frozen trays of delicious Italian staples, and more. I am not one to just stick to the things I know I enjoy as I am always on a journey for something interesting and exciting, so whenever something shows up I am getting that rather than something in my "comfort zone". This has led to me traditionally losing interest or finding that the quality of a place declines for myself over time, especially multiple years. Not the case here at Napoletano, it has only done the exact opposite and gotten much more rewarding and somehow even more delicious and embracing of people and everyone who comes through the door. This brings me to my most recent food adventures into the menu here, the newest additions for the most part, the added amazing hoagie list. I have had two. The first I tried was the Gondolier, which I was enamored with for weeks. I had been there too early to order lunch time and time again, and then FINALLY, one day it was about time for lunch to be available and Michelle, the wonderful woman running the front of house and so much more, was able to get me this sandwich just a bit early. It had it all....outstanding bread, roasted red peppers, seriously premium meats, both standard deli and cured. However, something just missed the mark for me. I couldn't believe it. I don't know what and I don't know why. I was immediately disappointed, likely because I had hyped this up in my head for so long and I have come to expect so much from Napoletano, I simply couldn't believe that this wasn't the best hoagie I had ever enjoyed. That fact has eaten at me for at least a month now, but today that all changed, and is possibly why I finally found my voice to put all my thoughts together an write this after so many years. During my visit to say hello today, I realized it was once again right around the time where I could order sandwiches. I toyed with the thought of the cutlet sandwiches or even the Cuban which is amazing, but after going around and around and around talking to everyone working about this and that, I finally decided on another hoagie; the Sicilian. Kris, another of my favorite people along with Fanny (who was on vacation) helped me inch toward this one based on my description of my whole previous experience, and tbh is sandwich is so interestingly unique. Topped with lemon and orange zest, it doesn't sound like it would work, but once you take your first bite, you begin to examine your entire existence. Why have you never had a specialty Italian hoagie topped with citrus zest??? The question has been running through my head all day since lunch, and I still cannot understand why I haven't been enjoying something like this my entire life. So many years lost of amazing sandwich experiences.....this sandwich was so divine, despite looking slightly barren and strange, that it blew apart my entire disappointment I had been holding since the gondolier. I will absolutely try the other four in the list. I would have anyway, but this definitely took that mission off of life support and put it front and center. There are so many reasons to go to Napoletano. I could spend another thirty paragraphs writing about what is great about this place, the people, the drinks, the space, all of it. But instead of doing that, you should just go here. Even if you're not close, and enjoy!
