This place was awesome! The service was fast and friendly and the food was delicious! The bathrooms were clean and the women's had a baby changing station. Unfortunately, the men's did not but it's rare to find one in a men's bathroom for some reason. I had the Elote Potato Hash and the Watermelon Wake Up. It was so flavorful! My husband had the Cinnamon Toast Cereal Milk and the Biscuit and Turkey Sausage with Gravy and a side of cheese grits. He said it was all really good. We will definitely be returning! read more

I've always loved the First Watch food and never had bad experience until today. Usually we visited Bee Ridge location, but today we decided to go to Tamiami location across Rt 41 from Sprouts . The place was almost empty, we sat outside on a nice patio overlooking the lake( that's the only nice thing that happened)... we ordered mimosas and placed an order for the food. Mimosas arrived immediately, but our food order was never sent to the kitchen. After 40 minutes waiting my husband went inside to ask about our order and irritated waitress Cathrine came to us ready to... take an order!!! She thought we never ordered our food, than she blamed computer glitch... but of course... After bringing our food, she never apologized or checked if we need anything. When leaving the place we walked through the restaurant and heard her arguing very loud with another customer. Perhaps she was involved in multiple incidents and was too busy to check on us. It was very unfortunate that she ruined our anniversary brunch and the good vibes of First Watch. Sorry... we won't be back, not to this location! read more

We have been coming to this location for many years. That is why we decided to come here for our son's baptism brunch. There is a small room off to the side of the main restaurant which seats about 30 guests. It was absolutely perfect! We were able to come in the day before and set up some decorations, they were so accommodating to our party! When we arrived the day of our celebration we had such amazing service, I feel awful as I do not remember our server's name! She was fantastic! Our food came out so quickly and everything was delicious! We let our guests order off of a limited menu of four entrees, Floridian French toast, chicken chimichanga, avocado toast and elevated egg sandwich. Everything came out fast and cooked perfectly, our guests were extremely happy!! I highly suggest dining here and we will forever be grateful for such a great experience for our celebration and for all the wonderful meals we have shared here as a family! read more

There isn't much to write home about, it's a pretty standard American breakfast spot with healthy options. I had the waffle and a side of potatoes, both were delicious. I would've given a solid 5 as I did enjoy the meal but the service was not even what I would call average, way below. Visiting Siesta Key we were introduced to First Watch for breakfast. Awesome menu from regular eggs to great omelets, pancakes and stuff. Open for breakfast and lunch only...always a wait. This place is absolutely amazing! I came here for brunch and it was one of the best brunch places I've ever been. It is a very busy place so we had to wait 30 min, but the wait was 100% worth it. I ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes, amazing doesn't even begin to explain how tasty this meal was. Two fluffy huge pancakes, the batter had the ricotta mixed in. Topped with lemon custard and strawberries. Just unreal. The service was so friendly, our waitress was so sweet and kind. My friends and I arrived at First Watch around 9:30 on a Sunday and were able to be seated right away. By the time we left it was getting busier and people were waiting for tables. I am eating low carb and First Watch had a ton of options for me. I ended up going with the BLT Benedict without any bread/english muffin and it didn't disappoint. I also enjoyed the cold brew coffee and the to-go cups they had available when I still had some left when ready to go. No longer, a single pancake for $5.19 is not an oversized pancake even for a lighter eater such as myself. Unfortunately the first one delivered was basically burnt on 1 side and not fluffy, even the waitress realized when shown the underside of it. Will not be getting again. read more

In other words you need to get the restroom cleaned with bleach and a toothbrush! The floor needs scrubbed, toilets repaired and cleaned, sinks scrubbed, walls scrubbed and trash cans replaced! You don't need much more then to have things deep cleaned! They say check a restaurant's restrooms first, they're an indication of the kitchen. This was a scary indication! Came here on our last day in Sarasota after a nice 5 day vacation. We were on our way to the airport and stopped in for my fiances dad's birthday breakfast. The place was packed!! But we were still able to get a table after a 10 minute wait so it really wasn't too bad. The food was really good: of the three dishes I tried I was fully impressed by two of them. So the two things that were great was the avocado toast, omg sooo good. Simple I suppose but nice bread and a heaping serving of avocados salted JUst right. And the lemon ricotta blueberry Quinoa pancakes. And anyone who knows me knows I'm not a pancake person but these were soooo good! The fiancé ordered the smoked salmon eggs Benedict and we both thought the salmon was a bit too smokey. Oh I almost forgot both drinks we ordered were also really good! I got some fresh juice blend that had beets, ginger, oj, agava. And the fiancé got an iced coffee. I was really impressed with this place especially seeing as it's a chain! read more

So sad to see a restaurant go downhill. First watch was one of our favorites pre-pandemic. Just returned to find a poorly managed mess! After being lectured by the manager because we came in the "wrong" door, we were totally ignored. A cluster of waitresses stood at the reception area and not one came to take our order! We used to visit this restaurant frequently and often brought guests. We left after 15 minutes of being ignored! We, of course, will never return and would discourage anyone from going there. firstly, i've been to first watch multiple times before and i usually have had nice experiences but my family had just finished a marathon and we called to ask if there was table and they informed us there was a table available then we called once more to put in our name and then they said nothing was available after saying that we tried to explain that we had just called then they shut us down and we're extremely rude. they were not at all kind or helpful and i understand working in the food business is hard but they unnecessarily unkind and it was not appreciated. the food is great but no the service!
